Chapter Text

Cassius flopped down onto the small pallet of blankets and pillows set in the empty space of Taurus’s domain, sighing out in exhaustion as he listened to the Gemini twins, who were now separated from their combined form, as they bickered lightly, Pollux definitely being more passionate about the topic than Castor was, but the latter not backing down on his point.

“What’s all their commotion about now, Cassius?” Taurus said simply, though his wording sounded annoyed, his tone seemed rather relaxed and uncaring, not unusual for the Bull Astral.

“They’re debating about movies from Earth. I don't think Castor really cares as much as he just doesn’t want to be wrong.” Cassius said with a calm and relaxed voice, he was tired from training, and while Taurus was his teacher and mentor, Gemini showed up sometimes to help out with certain aspects of Cassius’s training due to his type of powers.

“Ah. I see.” Taurus said rather plainly, and took a seat next to his student. Cassius would’ve rolled his eyes if they were open, finding the monotone demeanor of Taurus amusing in a way. “Are movies a common argument on Earth?” That is what Cassius wasn't expecting. He opened one of his eyes to look up at Taurus, who was now sitting not too far away from him. How he didn’t hear or feel the bull-man sit down was a mystery.

“Kinda? Most people enjoy movies or shows I suppose, and a lot of people argue on which movies are the best, but it’s not a very serious or violent topic.” Cassius tried to explain. He never really realized how easy some things were to just get when you’ve lived in a certain area for so long.

“I see.. So more of a friendly discussion instead of a quarrel?”

“Yeah I guess that’s a way to put it. It’s more like an opinionated conversation between friends or peers, like small talk. It’s more of a ranking of popular movies, the actors, the genres, etc. since there are so many movies.”

All Cassius got as a response to that was a hum of understanding, and he thought that the conversation ended there, the twins still arguing not too far away from them, but they seemed to pay the astral and student no attention, now arguing about who’s right rather than the best types of movies.

“If my memory serves me correct.. Movies are similar to literature, correct?” Cassius was surprised that Taurus was so interested in this… frankly boring topic.

“Again, kinda. Most movies are fictional, and a large portion of them are based off of books, but just like some books, there are educational movies and movies about a singular person or group. Maybe I'll show you a few movies one day Taurus,” Cassius said that last portion with a small smile, once again looking up at his mentor.

“Perhaps so.” Taurus said simply. His facial expression was unreadable before turning to the twins. They had stopped arguing and now were just ignoring each other, Castor seeming indifferent and Pollux acting a little irritated. It was obvious who had won that fight.

Notes:

These two are absolutely dear to me and I hope that you enjoy their stories! Note that this isn't relevant to their main story line a whole bunch because at the time of posting, their story hasn't actually been finished writing and no concepts have really been posted, so take this as you will about their relationship so far
