Chapter Text
Wednesday entered into her dorm, her own feet moving steady and slowly into the room.
As she closed the door behind her, her eyes scanned around the room, expecting a whole bunch of different palette colors to hit her face.
The usual hot pink, yellow, green...red...and a whole lot of colors that if Wednesday even dares to think about she would feel sick.
But there wasn't much of it.
Since the brunette and her former rommate had a fight over Wednesday's birthday...the night girls out...and Tyler...it has been really, really quiet into the dorm.
Wednesday loves quiet. She always did.
She liked the quiet of a funeral. The quiet of inspecting a dead animal. The quiet of her own room. The quiet after a hours of playing on her cello.
She really did love it, the silence of everything.
Another thing she loves is her typewriter.
Wednesday always needed it to feel relaxed or to just write anything she was feeling at the time, which is pretty much everything but she can't obviously show it to the rest of the world.
So she would spend hours on end on it, just tapping on the little letters, changing papers or sometimes throw it in the bin.
She would find the sound of her beloved typewriter filling the room amusing.
Click...click...click...tap...click...click...
This time she really needed to do this, to...express herself onto a sheet of paper.
She really needed this after after having that heated discussion with her roommate, maybe ex-roommate, now that she went to another dorm.
With someone else.
Wednesday's fingers stopped moving and now was at the centre of their shared dorm.
The tape dividing it, each side having a different aesthetic.
As she stared at it the scene of the other night appeared in front of her eyes, just like Wednesday did as she felt Enid body brush as she walked away.
Wednesday still remembers of how Enid shouted at her, of how if she wanted to she could be alone.
And she, in fact, was left alone in the dorm.
Loneliness. Something Wednesday Friday Addams felt familiar to.
She got used to this feeling.
This emptiness that creeped into her chest.
She didn't felt like this since her dear scorpion pet died.
She promised herself she wouldn't feel like this again, that she would have strenght. And that tears don't really fix anything.
But Wednesday swears she can still feel the damp tears on her cheeks of that night.
Of her back against the window, goody's words ringing into her ears.
"Ravens end up alone." Goody was right, she did up alone, and now the loneliness the little Addams liked and now it...pains her.
And not in a good way she usually likes.
It hurt her in a way she didn't like it. Wednesday Friday Addams didn't like being without Enid Sinclair.
She still remembers her body shivering by the cold which she cherishes, and of the night's storm mimicking what was going on through Wednesday's own heart.
But the silence was now defeating.
Without hearing Enid suddenly blast k-pop songs, hearing her giggle, hearing her hum to the music while doing pedicures to Thing, her suddendly growls and mlstly importante she couldn't be alble to see her smile showing off her canin-...
Wednesday's toughts were stopped by some strange sound of fingers tapping onto the ground, it was Thing coming towards her.
"...Wednesday what's wrong?" He signed, he was preoccupied that a part of his family might be...hurt.
"...Do you...miss Enid?" He signed with his disgusting fingers he loves so dearly.
Wednesday let out a breath she has been holding for a long time as Thing signed.
"...i don't. I'm just...surprised i haven't heard some...disgusting...loud and autrocious...songs."
Wednesday took a big breath now, the air much needed now.
Now what was too loud was the soience in the dorm. I was too much for the little girl.
A sigh left Wednesday's body, as she tried to push away all of those insecurities and all of those new emotions.
She needed a distraction and what's better than write in her own novel?
She slowly walked towards her side of her dorm, her monocrome side.
The brunette huffed as she sat down on the chair, she wanted to glance back towards the opposite side of the dorm. She always does.
Because she knew she would have met those blue sparkly eyes, the hot pink sweater, the blonde curly hair with (obviously) colors in it.
She knew that if Enid Sinclair would have been there, her eyes would have stared at her lips.
She was...intruiged by them.
Not because she wanted to kiss her rommate oh no, obviously not. Wednesday hated...soing anything physical really.
She was just...intrigued by her fangs.
Yes that's it.
Wednesday always had a thing for werewolves since she was little, she read so many books on them. Of how the pack would work. Of blood moon wolves. Even if there isn't much information on them.
She promised to herself to search for more, to help her werewolf friend of course.
Is her friend would even come back to her dorm anyways.
Wednesday snapped out of it.
She really needed to stop thinking of the werewolf girl.
Her own black eyes finally focused and looked at her typewriter now, staring at notes of her novel.
Viper de La muerte, the protagonist of her novel, she is a detective. And her best friend Evelyn, a cheerful girl with Lupin abilities.
Just like Enid, Evelyn couldn't control much of her own ability so she needed Viper's pity and protection.
Wednesday adjusted herself on the chair and leaned her hands towards the machine, her cold fingers now finally touched her typewriter.
[ Viper was now once again solving a mystery and now with an...uncomfortable company, a colorful one.
"Vip...do we really have to do this? There's a monster on the loos-" Evelyn lips were shut up by Viper's finger.
Evelyn was shook for a second, feeling her friend's finger on her lips.
But she snapped out of it as she took Viper's hand off her lips.
"Viper. Seriously we need to get out of here!" Evelyn said now, anxiety was written all over her face.
"Enough, Evelyn." Viper said, giving at her friend a dead glare.
"Just...shut up-"
Viper eyes fell for a moment at where her finger touched a second ago and quickly went up.
"...or the monster is gonna hear us." ]
Wednesday let out a breathe, it was comforting to write something on that machine, she could really be there writing for hours on no end.
Just the sound of her own fingerstips tapping on the machine was already...kinda calming her down.
She took another page, and continued to write.
[ Viper's whisper filled the small room they were in, suddendly everything was silent.
It really was just them two into that room, bodies almost touching, face flushed by the sudden room temperature rising. ]
She was pleased she wouldn't hear Enid blasting...ah...what does she call that music? k-pop music? Yes, that's it.
She was glad she wouldn't hear thar during her writing time, making Wednesday's ears bleed or hear the continue tapping of Enid's fingers on her phone and letting those...dusturbing giggles making the brunette head's turn towards the sound.
And of how her giggles would show her canines, those fangs wednesday wanted to study.
That time almost made her want to walk up to Enid and just stare at her. (She always does. But not at her lips. Or at least...not usually.)
[ Evelyn leaned closer. Now both of them really were face to face.
"Vip...i'm scared." Those blue scary eyes stared into viper's black orbs.
"...don't worry. We'll get out of here in no time." Viper said, almost smirking proudly.
She knew they would do it. She needed to get out of there.
She couldn't let her best friend be harmed.
"...you promise?" Evelyn said, now smiling slightly but anyone could see she was nervous.
She had her pinky out, she look at her own finger then at Viper, expecting Viper's pinky finger around hers. ]
Wednesday turned around, she lost track of how many times she has done that in the span of a couple hours.
She stared at the opposite side of her room, always expecting to see Enid.
The brunette usually does that when she didn't exactly know what to write and also because Evelyn is based on Enid.
So wednesday simply looked for...a reference.
Wednesday let out an exhale, she lost count of that too, and continued to click on that typewriter.
She rsallt needed to get Enid off her mind, she told herself....again.
[ Viper stared at Evelyn, almost in disappointment.
But she really couldn't say no to a face like that.
A smile so radiant even the heart of Viper de La muerte gets melted.
"...i promise." viper words strangely came out...soft.
And what's even softer was Evelyn hand as Viper took her pinky with hers.
Evelyn felt bold and took Viper's hand in hers.
"I believe in you, you know that, Viper?"
Evelyn words were said so slowly and softly, Viper stopped in her tracks for a second.
"...of course." Viper said, having a pokerface.
"You sure? You always look like...you're joking."
Evelyn chuckled and smiled widely, now her nose alnost touching vipers.
"But it's okay. You're lucky i like you."
Evelyn said brushing her nose against Vipers.
Now viper breath stopped.
Maybe her heart too.
She really was lucky to have Evelyn as her friend.
She is glad she is with her, safe and sound. Viper thought, unconsciously tightening her grip on Evelyn hand. ]
Wednesday stopped in her tracks, now looking at her whole novel.
She wanted to turn around again, but she knew that if she would she would have saw nothing.
No hot pink sweater, no blonde hair, not Enid dancing to her...music (if Wednesday can even classify...that...as music).
She would see and hear nothing.
Wednesday likes this, she has to.
She always liked being alone.
Even because she knew she is gonna end up alone, anyways.
But Wednesday is never going to say this out loud, but she hated this empty feeling.
It wasn't a good feeling. Not the ones Wednesday likes.
She also felt even more groomy then usual.
And colder.
Just like the moon without her sun.

Chapter Text
The shared dorm, now silent without Enid, was filled by notes.
Wednesday's fingers moved slow and deliberately on the strings of her cello, losing herself into the sounds.
As the notes filled the room it also filled her ears.
She was...pleased by it. She always did.
She liked that she could express whatever she was feeling at the moment with just a simple touch of her fingertips onto the strings.
The Addams took a deep breath and exhaled, closing her eyes and finally relaxing.
Her hums left her throat mimicking the notes of the cello. Her mind was now finally empty.
The brunette's fingers worked almost gently, the notes now felt like soft whispers. That's how Wednesday felt about music.
She could always find peace in it.
As she played the notes, they describes exactly how she was feeling, she knew she can't say those things out loud. Shw would never do that, she can't.
Even if one day she wants to. Maybe not out loud saying it, but show it.
Even a just a little bit. Show that she cared.
But she knew that if she explained those dark, strange feelings inside of her heart people could use those words against her.
She didn't want that.
And so she uses music as escapism. By whatever she was thinking about in that moment.
It could be about not understanding the serial killer of a mystery, mad about someone, or... to stop think about someone.
Wednesday held her eyes closed, the notes now were softer than ever.
The last time she felt like this, so...light, was at the Poe Cup tournament.
But not during it, that day was rather chaotic even for Wednesday Friday Addams.
It was after the tournament that a certain thing happened.
She still remembers when her and Enid walked out of the boat and runned together with the flag in hand.
All of the anxiety of these days disappeared into thin air in mere seconds.
Just for a touch of fingers. Obviously Wednesday can still feel the ghost touch of Enid's fingers against hers when they held that flag together.
Or of how Enid was so ecstatic she was jumping up and down, happiness coming out of her pores.
She couldn't tame her emotions, Enid was literally shaking the poor Brunette while screaming and laughing.
"We won!! We won!!" She exclaimed happily.
Then Enid committed the big mistake of looking at her. Not because of anything.
Wednesday herself was pleased they won, everybody was.
But she felt a little something into her stomach.
Something bubbling and moving inside of her.
People call it butterly in your stomach.
The Addams called it insects crawling inside of her and eating her own flesh.
Then the blonde spoke.
"Admit it...you got into this whole tournament spirit." She said with that...stupid smile.
Both of their faces were so close Wednesday could finally watch Enid's fangs properly.
But Wednesday for a moment she sweared she heard that Enid's words had a tiny drop of flirt in them.
- - -
Mere hours passed, Wednesday was hiding herself by all of those people.
Yes they won. But why was everyone so close to her?
Enid sure she didn't mind much.
She's always in the private space of other people, Wednesday got used to it.
She exhaled a breath, finally some needed silence after all that commotion.
Suddendly she felt quick steps coming towards her.
"What are you doing here?" Enid asked softly, her whisper could only be heard by herself and the Addams.
Wednesday's body moved by itself and just like a magnet she was shoulder against shoulder with Enid.
And it happened again, her faces were so close Wednesday could study her whole face.
But when she looked at the blonde's eyes, she noticed they were staring at her lips.
It was just for a flicker moment before Enid's eyes moved up and meet her eyes.
The brunette's heart stopped for a moment.
Wednesday had the sensation that Enid's face inched closer to her, her mouth half open.
She looked away. The brunette couldn't keep staring.
Because she knew that if she would, her heart wouldn't be able to keep up.
The blonde hand was wrapped gently around wednesday's arm, making their bodies even closer.
"Don't give me that face, you just won against Bianca Barclay. You should celebrate." Enid smirked, she really was trying to get Wednesday to socialize.
Wednesday almost huffed at her words.
They both stopped in front of the other. And Enid didn't back down on her plan.
"The girls wanted to know if you wanna hang out later?" She asked. Again with that soft tone of hers.
Wednesday looked at her again, but properly.
Her eyes went down scanning her clothes, colorful as always.
Then her eyes went up, finally meeting the blonde's blue eyes.
How could she say no when she asked so nicely?
With that...smile on her face.
That stupid smile wednesday couldn't stop looking at.
"...i'll think about it." Strangely Wednesday's words came out soft.
She didn't expect she could say something this soft to soemone, but to Enid? Yes.
Enid chuckled and jumped happily towards her friends. "We won!! Yes."
Wednesday could heard her, chuckling and giggling to her friends.
And she couldn't stop staring.
- - -
Wednesday finally came to her senses, she has been playing the cello for a long time.
And that didn't help taking enid off of her mind.
It actually got worse.
She placed her cello where it's supposed to be, against the wall.
"Thing." She said in her monotone tone, putting on a dark jacket just like her current mood.
"I'm gonna go get a coffee." She really needed it.
She stared at Thing, he looked sad.
"I'm mourning for my poor nails." He signed.
Right. Enid used to do him pedicures. And now he looks even more filthy than he already was.
As much Wednesday wanted to stay inside of her dorm, silently waiting for a miracle to happen and to see Enid enter the room again, and to stay away from people...she needed to go take some air.
"I've heard someone from the town got murdered." He signed as he suddendly remembered the unformation by reading the journal that morning.
"Hm. I'm suddendly curious to have a look around the town." Wednesday grinned slightly, maliciously.
If Enid was there, she would already been bubbling about how disgusting the topics they were talking about were.
She took a last look at Enid's side of the room before Thing jumped to her shoulder and left the dorm.
- - -
The Brunette walked minutes to get to the Weathervane, feeling the fresh hair hit her lungs.
She walked slowly as she looking down, feeling the road under her shoes.
Then she started hearing the chatting of people all around her, her eyes moved up.
She arrived to Jericho.
She now held her head high, adjusting her uniform.
People were staring, she knew that.
A strange sensation creeped into her body as people whispered to her, but she used to don't care at all.
Or else.
She took a deep breath as she finally arrived in front of the Weathervane.
As she opened the door, the little bell rang and a certain boy moved his eyes to the entrance, his eyes sparkling as he saw Wednesday.
Wednesday moved slowly to a chair, sitting down on it. She out her bag down and opened it to take a book out of it.
Not even some seconds later the boy almost goes sprinting to her.
"Look who is it, Wednesday Addams." Tyler said, a grin on his lips.
Wednesday gave him a death glare, the last thing she wanted was him smiling and grinning at her.
After the dance he has started to become more cocky...? towards her.
"Oh don't worry, i already made you a black coffee. And i'll leave you alone, don't worry." He smiled as he out down the coffee.
Wednesday actually wanted to try something new.
Maybe something slightly sweeter.
Because Enid's words kept being in her mind, of how she would always order something new every day.
Something sweet, colorful and cool.
Not soemthing dark, boring and tastless.
But Wednesday simply nodded to Tyler and muttered a thanks.
He then smiled widely.
She made the mistake to look at him.
Why did that smile remind her of Enid?
Why does everything remind her of Enid?
Why is Enid always in her mind?
She moved her eyes down as Tyler walked away to other customers.
She sipped the dark coffee, hoping it would calm her down or that maybe it had poison and put an end to her miserable life.
She finally took a last look at the inside of the Weathervane before diving in into her book, trying to find any distraction.
The sound of the bell took her attention, a glimpse of blonde with colored hair entered into the Weathervane with a certain vampire following behind her.
Wednesday's eyes widened, out of all the bars and shops this city had, Enid Sinclair has to come in here?
But she noticed the many bags in her hands, they were many in her hands.
Enid buys a LOT when she's stressed, wednesday thought to herself as she sipped the coffee.
Her and the vampire, yoko sat down on a table, one beside the other.
Wednesday's eyes stared at the two girls as she studied enid's body sign.
She was anxious and stressed. Her eyes strangely slightly red like she has been crying.
She probably cried over an argument with that boyfriend of hers and decided to take a breather, wednesday thought.
Suddendly someone stepped in front of her, now she couldn't stare at her...friend anymore.
"So...did you like the coffee?" Tyler said taking the, now empty, cup.
"It hasn't been poisened enough." Wednesday muttered as her eyes darted towards the table of the two girls.
She noticed Enid chuckling with Yoko, she could see a little of her fangs.
"Uhh...should i take that as a yes?" He said, chuckling nervously.
Wednesday almost rolled her eyes, she really didn't want anything to do with him.
Then her eyes moved to Tyler's.
His eyes were so dark. Like he had a secret. But Wednesday couldn't understand what exactly.
Wednesday noticed his eyes becomes even more darker when her attention wasn't on him.
She didn't like this. Something was wrong but she couldn't exactly out her finger on it.
What was wrong?
She still remembers Enid's words when she first met Tyler.
"A normie? You trust him?" Then her face was convulsed into a dusgusted face.
Maybe something really was wrong.
Wednesday then gave a death glare at him, then brought 10 dollars out of her pocket.
She needed to get out of there. And quickly.
She couldn't stand to be next to Tyler or knowing that Enid was literally in the same room as hers and all she wanted to do was be with her.
"Keep the change." She said in her monotone tone.
"Oh? I can maybe buy you something nice with this?" He had that stupid grin when people flirt, but again his eyes were telling something else.
Wednesday huffed and rolled her eyes before walking out of the Weathervane.
She wanted to look back, not at Tyler. But at Enid.
She didn't know if she would come back into their shared dorm.
So maybe she could look at her one last time.
But she didn't. The Addams didn't look back.
Because she knew she couldn't stand watching Enid being this happy with someone else.
But actually the brunette was pleased she can move on so fast and have another friend.
But she wouldn't stand herself if she watched that scene happen in front of her eyes.
So the addams walked away. Back to the dorm.
But Wednesday didn't know that Enid actually went to the Weathervane to take her mind off of the Addams, she didn't cry because of Ajax.
She cried because of their last argument.
She also didn't know that Enid noticed her walking out of the Weathervane.
And of how Tyler looked at her.
And that made the mood even worse to the blonde werewolf than it already was.

Chapter Text
Tap...tap....tap...
Wednesday found herself writing on her typewriter.
Soft spanish music playing in the background.
It soothened her senses, now without her roommate blasting k-pop songs at an excruciating volume, she could relax and continue writing on her novel.
Click...click..tap..tap...
She took a deep breath as she stopped her fingers and stared at the page full of words.
She then picked it up and started reading it, making sure there were no typos in it.
[ Viper was sitting in the library, the silence of it embracing her.
She was reading one of the big classic.
Dr. Jeckill and Mr. Hyde.
It was a rather simple and little book really.
But Viper couldn't help herself. Reading in peace was probably the only thing the girl liked to do.
She took a deep breath, before drinking some dark coffee she bought just minutes before coming into the library.
She liked the mystery of the book and of how placing pieces together you could understand who actually was Mr. Hyde.
But obviously Viper understood quickly who it was.
But it's always a rather...comforting experience to re-read the book and discover new details everytime.
Her most trusted friend (and absolutely not a pet to be used) raven flew to her shoulder.
It had a journal in it's mouth and it rubbed against Viper's cheek.
"Hm? Some new devastating news?" Viper mumbled and grinned.
She was grateful of her raven. It was probably one of her (maybe only) friends who helped her in anything.
She took the journal from the raven's mouth and opened it, her eyes scanned the paper as she read it.
"A serial killer in town? Hm. Now this is interesting." She said smirking.
But at the next words she felt her body froze and eyes widening.
"Werewolf hunter?" Viper whispered.
"He...kills werewolves?" Viper breath started to pick up.
Rage started to fill her body.
The crow chirped as if to say "Don't worry. We'll find him."
"Oh. I know." Viper was now smiling, but not in a happy way.
In a menancing and obscure way.
"He won't find another werewolf before finding me."
Absolutely not.
When her rommate Evelyn could be next. ]
Wednesday's eyes widened as suddendly someone knocked softly on the door and entered the room.
That sound made her go out of her little bubble of concentration.
Her fingers overed over the typewriter as she stared at the door.
And speak of the devil...there she is.
Blonde colored hair were the first thing Wednesday saw.
She hated the fact that her little black heart skipped a bit as her roommate finally entered their shared dorm, she haven't seen her in some days.
The soft spanish song filled the silence dorm as they stared at eachother for a second.
"Ah...sorry...you're writing. Um..i just needed to take something real quick."
Enid said, gulping as she hurried over her side to take a shirt and pants.
Wednesday stared at her face, slightly red eyes and faint tears on her cheeks.
The same exact face she had the last time she saw her at the Weathervane.
The brunette forced to breath, she stared so long at her...friend she forgot to even do that.
She turned around towards her typewriter, she couldn't keep looking at her.
She felt like something was eating her up inside of her stomach.
Enid look at her, with a longing expression before she sighed and walked out from their shared dorm.
Wednesday expected anything. Some comments. Her blasting music. Nothing.
The Addams sighed.
She really needs to get Enid out of her head.
She thought.
But she knew she couldn't.
Her fingers then began tapping on the typewriter again, the little girl's mind full of Enid's face.
[ Viper had now Evelyn in front of her, bubbling about drama in school, drama and...clothes to choose during dates. Hm.
"God viper. I found this boy and he might be the one i swear." She said, Everlyn smile made viper see her fangs.
Viper glanced at them for a moment.
"Hm. That's the same thing you said before i was about to use a nail gun on him."
Viper replied fastly. Quickly glancing back at Evelyn's eyes.
They were blue, like the sea when it's turbent.
"I don't want to see you sad again over some...male creature. It's useless."
Viper spike again as she looked away, the last sentence was mumbled.
Men really were useless, so why is Evelyn so...interested in them?
She is so much more than them anyways.
In mind and beauty.
"Aw.." Evelyn smiled and whispered, tilting her head a bit.
Viper's heart picked up a bit by that. She didn't know why or what.
Maybe the softness of her face, or the way her cheeks became full as she smiled, or the way her fangs showed, or how her giggle sounded or-
"You don't have to worry about me, Vip."
Evelyn said softly, her eyes even more soft than her words.
It was so gentle, it killed Viper dark heart.
She took some steps towards Viper, before stopping right in front of her.
"I'm with friends, not only with him..."
The girl with blue eyes said, now staring directly into Viper's dark ones.
Silence filled their shared space for some seconds before Evelyn spoke again
"...but i'm happy you care." Evelyn chuckled.
Viper could swear she saw Evelyn eyes go down to her lips before looking into her dark eyes.
"Hm." Viper huffed looking away. "Do I?" She said, in a sarcastic way.
Evelyn raised an eyebrow, but (un)fortunately she understood every thing thw brinette said, even in a twisted sarcastic way.
And yes, even the most macabre and dark.
"You do." Evelyn whispered.
Viper turned around, they looked at eachother.
Now silence filled their shared dorm and it stretched for a long time.
Viper could feel her own heartbeat suddednly pick up and beat against her ribs.
"okay, now i really need to go." Evelyn said suddendly, breaking the silence as she took a deep breath.
But Viper noticed how Evelyn glanced back at her, subtly but it was noticeable.
She did it three times. First at her eyes, then at her lips then just at her.
Viper felt a cold, dark shiver navigate through her body as she felt those eyes on her.
It was strange.
Even for Viper de La Muerte. ]
Wednesday hummed as she finished reading that page.
"Thing...can you fetch me some other pages? I finished."
Wednesday said in her monotone voice, almost huffing, annoyed that her pages finished when she had the most ideas to write down.
The brunette glanced at the hand moving fastly on the table and coming back with a bunch of papers.
"You're doing a great job at potraying...you and Enid." The hand signed.
"It's not-..." Wednesday took a deep breath at that, the air feeling her body and realization hit her.
Was she writing something that happened, but what her own dark heart wishes?
Or all of that color she had to see made her finally go crazy?
She clenched her jaw before taking a page and putting it in the typewriter.
"...not a word." The Addams girl whispered to the hand and it wobbled away shyly.
As Wednesday took a paper and put in in the typewriter, soemone entered the room again.
It was Enid. Again.
It has been...what? More than one hour since Enid got there?
"Sorry again. Uhh...i forgot something else." Enid smiled sofly at her.
Wednesday blinked, that small smile made her dark heart stop for a moment.
What did she need now?
Her heart?
Her soul?
The Addams would gladly give them to her.
Right then and there.
"I just need this real quick."
The blonde said as she hurried over her room to take something, this time Wednesday didn't really see what.
Or if she even took something.
"How's...the writing going?.." her words came out of her lips in a soft murmur.
"Really good actually. Evelyn and Viper have a great relationship."
Not like someone else.
The Addams wanted to add, but she bit the comment back.
"That's...actually sweet of y-" Enid's phone trembled with notifications.
Yoko then called her. "Enid where are you? Don't tell me you're in that damn dorm again i swear to fucking god."
Enid quickly closed the call as she stared at Wednesday, wanting to say more but she sighed and walked away from the dorm.
Wednesday Friday Addams was frozen for a moment.
Was Enid not supposed to be there?
What did that meant?
Does she prefer to be with Yoko than with her?
Why?
Because she doesn't talk about things she likes with her?
Or something else?
The brunette simply took a deep breath, pushing everything she's thinking out of her twisted mind.
Get out of my head, Enid. Before it's too late.
She thought before she composed herself before her fingers hit the typewriter again.
[ almost 30 minutes later, Viper founds herself in front of this abandoned house near Jericho.
Viper had the courage to be the only girl to search about this new serial killer in town, she had to do it in secret of course.
For her own pride...
...and to protect her only friend Evelyn.
She couldn't let him to get to her.
No.
Not now.
Not ever.
The girl let out a sigh as she looked at the house, and it looked just like any ordinary abandoned ones.
The house looked hunted by ghosts, spiders crawling out of the porch, half destroyed.
"Wow." Viper said in a mockingly way.
"A perfect place for a serial killer, huh?" She said, almost chuckling.
Her hand touched the door, dust all over it.
She took a deep breath as she entered the house.
Her nostril could sense the odor of the dust, a bit of mold and maybe...dead animals.
"Ah. Feels like home."
Viper said, now smiling maliciously, taking some steps into the house.
Her eyes darted around, studying every inch of that strange place.
Looking for anything.
Even for a little clue.
She followed the scene of blood. Dark red spot on the ground.
Viper slowly followed the trace and it brought her to a secluded room.
The brunette has never seen something like this before.
And that said everything, i mean she's going after a serial killer, she expected anything.
But she didn't expect to see...
...parts of werewolves in jars.
Photos of journals everywhere.
The images of all the faces of the (now not so alive) people in there.
On the wall there was written "I will find you all."
As Viper took a shaly deep breathand took a step closer to...whatever that mess was, she noticed something.
Summer camp flyers everywhere, scattered all around the ground.
But there weren't any normal summer camp.
They were all conversion camp.
For werewolves.
"This is sickening."
Viper mumbled. And her crow, which was on her shoulder, chirped back in agreement.
"Why though?..." the girl mumbled as she stared at those photos.
The camps, the werewolves...sliced...alive.
The images of the innocent people killed kept as a trophy.
Viper's dark mind moved fastly, suddendly feeling anxious.
The crow chirped: "They sent them to die."
The girl's eyes widened.
"They...got there. Not only to become a 'normal' werewolves but someone was even more insane to do such...disturbed and...crazy to take those people and...put them in here." Viper mumbled, rage slowly filling her.
Then she remembered.
One of those nights, Evelyn bubbling about her parents.
She let out something similar to them wanting to send her to conversion camp. Then quickly corrected herself to summer camp.
"No....no, no, no. No." Viper let out a shaky breath as she quickly stood up.
"I need to find Evelyn. Now." She said to her crow.
Evelyn. She could be in danger.
Real danger.
"Find the...imbecile of all of this. I'll go find Evelyn."
----
Viper runned. A lot.
She didn't know she could run this fast before, but she runned like a disperate mad woman.
Not Evelyn.
Not her.
Dread filled her body from the feet to her head.
She panted heavily as she finally arrived into the forest, the usual spot for werewolves meetings.
"Evelyn...Evelyn!!" Viper almost shouted as she took deep breaths.
Images of her rommate without life filled her mind.
And as much as she loved soulless bodies and death...just the simply possibility of seeing with her own eyes the most radiant girl without her own shine made Viper's dark heart ache.
Then suddendly the forest was filled with screams.
One of them was familiar to Viper's ear.
"Evelyn! Evelyn i'm here!" She yelled as she followed the screams.
"Please be safe...please don't be hurt."
Viper whispered over and over.
Like a mantra.
The screams calmed down as they disappeared and Viper just arrived at the scene of the crime.
Blood was on the ground.
A body without a soul on the ground.
Then two.
Then three.
Viper De La Muerte gulped.
But those people...they weren't...werewolf.
Those dead bodies aren't werewolves.
Who could have done this?
The girl studied the people on the ground with attention, they were the werewolf hunters.
A wicked smile appeared on Viper's face.
"Finally. But i wanted to see." She said in a whisper, her crow chirped as to indicate to follow the path of blood on the ground.
The girl followed it.
And it ended on someone.
She slowly looked up.
Her eyes widened widely as she looked at the girl in front of her.
Blood all over her. Which looked not hers.
Panting heavily and nails long. Extra long.
And fangs.
She quickly recognised the girl in front of her.
"...E..Ev- ]
Wednesday has been ingrossed too much into her writing to hear that a certain someone entered for the third time the dorm.
Enid Sinclair.
Wednesday now stood up facing her.
"Ah...i had to take something for a party we are doing at Yoko's." she said, but now Enid didn't hurry at walking towards her colored side.
She...walked slowly.
"So...how's everything going?" Enid asked with that soft voice of hers.
"Good actually. I'm almost finished with my novel...with no annoying distractions."
Wednesday's jaw tightened as Enid's hair bounced a bit as she turned towards the brunette.
"Was i an annoying distraction?" She could hear Enid's tone going up.
Yes. Wednesday wanted to say.
Three times entering in the dorm and all three times you distracted me.
You and your...face.
Your smile.
Your fangs.
Your nails.
Your colored hair.
Your laughter.
Your...
"You did have some...annoying habits."
Wednesday decided to reply.
Her throat suddendly tight.
She couldn't say what she was thinking out loud.
So she just opted for the least...rude one.
"...such as?!" Enid replied fastly, her brows furrowed in cinfusion, anger and...a hit of sadness.
What a perfect job you've fone Wednesday, you made her mad.
Again.
She wanted to know why? Alright.
"When you text. Which is a 24/7 addiction."
And her laughter.
"Well at least it's not a typewriter hammering into my head."
"When you grind you canines and growl in your sleep."
And her fangs.
I could watch her all night, and be sure she's safe.
Wednesday unconsciously took a step towards Enid.
"Opposed to late night cello solos?"
"Complain about all the hobbies and sport you're doing."
And her dedication to things.
"I dig that over with your obsessed of all things creepy and dead."
Enid toon a step towards her too.
They were almost face to face.
So close.
"You could gas an entire village with the perfume you wear."
And her scent. God her scent.
It was intoxicating.
Both in a good and bad way.
Wednesday put her arms in front of her, she didn't have fait in herself right now.
When all she wanted to do was just take Enid by her collar and-
"Yoko and I are so in sinc she's begging me to be her new roomie." Enid almkst smirked at her own words.
Was she...joking? Is she serious?
No there is no way.
"Permanently."
Wednesday's low lip trembled as a shaky breath left her lips.
Silence stretched between them.
Wednesday's jaw clenched.
Wow. Enid is...serious about that?
The brunette eyes searched into Enid's bright ones.
Enid's jaw was close too.
As if she's holding herself back and she saw her rommate wet her lips for a friction of seconds.
She thought something else was about to happen before the Addams remembered they were fighting.
That Enid left her alone.
If that's what she wanted.
"Don't have me hold you back."
Wednesday regretted her words as soon as they left her lips.
Because Enid huffed as she walked away from her, for the second time.
"Enjoy your solitude, Wednesday."
The door was closed shut with anger.
But Wednesday noticed the pain in Enid's words.
The way her name was said in a breaking voice.
As if almost crying.
Enjoy your solitude. Enid's words travelled fastly into Wednesday's mind.
She tried. She really did.
She tried taking a break, but Enid was there.
She tried to write. But Wednesday wrote about them two.
She tried palying the cello. But all she could think was playing those songs for Enid.
She tried sleeping. But her dreams were haunted by the warm presence of Enid.
She tried to be alone, but she couldn't.
She really did. She tried anything she could to like the cold feeling of being alone.
Of being without her.
She didn't.
As if you're asking the moon to not shine without the sun.
That's how Wednesday felt.
