Chapter 45: I am NOT weak! I am anything BUT weak!

Summary:

Everything felt like it was going to fall apart. Guest could barely hold himself up, seriously?! Right after... last night? He wanted to go protect the others, he wanted to go help them, but he couldn't. It was almost as if he was glued to the same spot.

He wasn't alone though. Slasher recognized who was standing in front of him, the blue hair. But whatever was on his side forced him to move, leaving Guest to his own resources.

Alongside with stressful memories, and a team that feels like its about to collapse, there was something more important that they had to focus on in the manor...

Huzza, round one was done! Almost everyone made it out, but some weren't as lucky. Right after some people helped Builderman in a painful way, some lovebirds were trying to chit chat, and the others were calming down or hiding away in their cabins, a pain had struck Dusekkar's head.

Worse than before.

The wax that dripped down his face, and the fact that he could barely stand were only hints of what was going to happen.

That paper...
Taph held it, making crinkles and wrinkles on it.
Looking at themself from a better time.

Notes:

AAAAAAA where have i been for the past, oh i dont know, THE PAST TWO WEEKS?
well uuh so school is kicking me in the butt, im barely passing science (thats going to be some much fun UUURRRRGGGGHHH) so i took a 'break'. from posting. not working. >:)

but alas, its (right before) my birthday! and my (early) birthday present to you all is THIS BIG BOHEMOTH OF A CHAPTER, THE WORD COUNT BEING A WHOOPING 10839! this beats the other chapter where the word count was 5000+!

i will try to have something for the 25th for 4 months but im not sure if i will be able to as this chapter is loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong x_x
basically if i do have something out for 4 months then it is going to be the shortest, shittiest chapter out of this entire fic lol
dont expect anything for the 25th tho :(

so not only did i cut the last chapter in half, i felt kinda bad because i always cut them in half, so why not merge the next like... three? yeah three chapters into one. so for now i shall slunk away to the depths of hell called school, BUT I WILL NOT BE GONE FOR LONG! there is an official call for a teachers strike where i live so i get more free time >:)

also thats where the double name comes from :3
i had no plans for the third chapters name so uuuh you only get two 3:

does dusekkar turn into sulfur this chapter? does guest try to keep himself out of his memories? does everyone else even survive the round? who knows, im pre-writing this like a week early!
also sulfur is the chemical that makes certain things stink. am i calling him stinky? idk

ALSO SORRY IF THIS CHAPTER ISNT mainly ROUND GUEST AND 007N7 I DID NTO MEAN FOR IT TO BE THING LONG :(

I ALSO HAVE SOME NEWSSSSS (sorry i got this like the night right before i decided to post this and i thought it was a good idea as... well its actually kinda important to the posting schedule. if there even is one.)
so uuh because my dance studio is like genuinely nearing bankruptcy (i think?), and the dance teachers aren't really the best when it comes to teaching, i will be moving studios in november! i wish it could be sooner, but oh well im finally getting out of there after 11 years! im not sure if this fic will still be uncompleted by that time, but with the way its looking i wouldnt be all that surprised, sorry :(

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Dusekkar felt himself somehow, dozing off. He felt dizzy, but Builderman was also here, he’d help if anything went wrong. Right? It was surprisingly calm for the two as no one had yet to enter the building they were camping out in. Besides the shouting and screaming, it was nice. Just before Dusekkar could get comfy and actually get some rest, both him and Builderman heard some voices from the other end of the building.

“Just know that he and I will help you out. Builderman as well.” Two Time’s voice echoed from the other end.

Builderman sat up a little at the mention of him, confused as he too was also staring off into space.

“I… Thank you, but you don’t have to, Two Time.”

Builderman internally groaned when Dusekkar sighed at the sound of 007n7’s voice.

“Oh my! What happened to you two?!” Two Time almost shrieked in surprise, seeing two admins that were so powerful sitting on the ground, hurt or ill.

“Long story.” Builderman answered.

“I don’t… really know what.” Dusekkar mumbled, avoiding his gaze from 007n7. Why was he here anyways? Him and Two Time? Out of everyone, including the killer for this round, it had to be 007n7 and Two Time? Great… how fun…

“Well, did this happen within the round? If it has then oh dear we are going up against quite the beast! But if it did, I am sure we can help you two!” Two Time continued. 007n7 just glanced away, a little embarrassed.

“No, this happened while I was out missing.” Builderman explained, feeling Dusekkar tense up a little.

“I… don’t know what’s going on.” Dusekkar admitted, closing his eyes.

“Would it hurt to try and–”

“Two Time, let’s just work on the generator for now. We can help them when we get back. If we somehow do find a medkit here the bandages and medicine won’t stay with us if we go back to the cabin.” 007n7 explained, not wanting to bother the two admins on the floor any further.

“...Now that you do bring it up, I suppose there isn’t much we can do besides protect them.” Two Time said with an odd but cheerful tone. 007n7 let out a quiet sigh in relief as he bent down to work on the generator, trying to ignore the wound on his back.

“WOOLOOWOOLOO!!! OVER HERE BACON BOY!!!” Chance shouted from the other side of the map, waving his arms in the air like he was high out of his mind.

Slasher looked over at who just shot him, and after everything he had been through… it was that person? The one with the fedora that looks like they just barely left the 40s to be here? …Yeesh. Also, ‘bacon boy’? Slasher groaned inside, he knew that he was technically on the opposite side of the war with Guest, but just how did he do it? Getting through all of that bullying he would’ve been forced to go through? Oh how strong of a feeling of envy was…

“What the hell are they doing?!” Elliot mumbled to himself, giving Guest a pizza as he stared at the gambler acting like he just ate weed brownies.

“OOOO OVEEEERRRR HEEEEEREEEEE!!!” Chance’s voice rang throughout the map, trying to get Slasher away from Guest.

“I just hope he has a couple of bullets to defend themself…” Guest mumbled between bites, trying to scarf down the pizza as quickly as he could.

He noticed Elliot looking more distressed than usual.

“They’re teasing the killer like he’s teasing a bull! Where’s Shedletsky or Two Time?!” Elliot questioned, trying to not look towards Guest way, fearing what could happen.

“I think Two Time is with Dusekkar, possibly Builderman. I don’t have a clue about Shedletsky.” Guest answered, wiping his mouth to get all of the crumbs, grease, and sauce off.

There was something about the way Elliot shuddered after Guest replied to him.

Was… Elliot scared of Guest?

Oh no… was this about their last round with Noli?

No, no, it probably is!

Guest bit the inside of his mouth instead of the pizza he was trying to scarf down, goddammit! If only he was more careful where he was standing, if only he paid attention to where Noli was, maybe no one would’ve gotten hurt like they did, maybe no one would’ve had to deal with getting beaten to death by someone on their team, maybe… maybe Guest should just talk to Elliot about it later. Not right now, they were in the middle of a round. Guest sighed as Elliot kept watching Chance make a mockery of themself.

“NAHNAHABOOBOO! CAN’T CATCH ME, I’M LIKE A GINGERBREAD MAN!” Chance taunted, looping around the fountain at the front of the map.

They could tell Slasher was getting tired and annoyed while Chance kept his act up. Chance had to fight letting out a laugh at the scene, but he had a shit eating grin instead. Slasher had to take a moment on the opposite side of the fountain to catch his breath. Chance took up this opportunity they were told NOT TO DO by basically everyone. Even some of the killers.

“Aw, is the cutie getting tired?” Chance snickered as he watched Slasher raise his head up in confusion.

“Don’t you worry that pretty mask off, we all have those days!” Chance continued, not aware of the machete aimed straight for their face.

“Wow, someone’s flustered– WOAH WAIT, GIMMIE A MOMENT!” Chance screamed like a girl, just barely moving out of the way at the flying machete.

Chance quickly checked how many charges they had left, just two. Seriously? Where did the third one go? Wow, he needed to be less careless about this stuff…

Nah! If they die they’ll just respawn!

Right?

After all of this he’ll respawn! Maybe just wake up, right?

Maybe in ITrapped’s arms!

Chance aimed their gun and shot Slasher, not even aware if he was after them or not. Chance took in a quick whiff of the metallic scent, mainly being extra gunpowder, and ran in the other direction.

Elliot just cursed under his breath, Chance can’t keep doing this shit!

Chance ran right through the red building, right in the left entrance, and right out the right entrance, not even noticing the four others in there.

Builderman was going to speak up, but just like that Chance was gone, and the only thing proving that he was around was the wind that blew by the four other survivors near the generator. Two Time and 007n7 were busy doing the generator, letting Dusekkar and Builderman rest. Today was going to be a long day, wasn’t it? 007n7 cringed at the injury in his back, he could tell it was somewhat deep.

Guest saw Slasher running for Chance, noticing Chance went into the red building. Shit. He shoved the rest of the pizza into his mouth, and ran after the two, hoping to catch up with them in time to save them.

“–it is quite odd that they just ran past without a greeting.” Two Time said, trying to fill the odd silence with something more than awkwardness.

“I’m sure there’s a reason. You almost done with the panel there?” 007n7 asked, connecting the last two wires on the panel he was working on.

“Mhm!” Two Time hummed, three wires left! Everything seemed to be going swimmingly!

But just for 007n7’s streak of terrible luck, a chainsaw was stabbed right through him, shredding and tearing what it could into small itty bitty pieces. Just below his diaphragm, but right above most of his digestive system. He cried out in pain as he fell against the generator, blood already pooling beneath him. Two Time was already up with their dagger, ready to try and stun anyone in their way! They tried to stab Slasher, but Slasher just knocked the dagger out of their hand with his machete. Builderman and Dusekkar saw this, and the two tried to get up.

It didn’t really end well for either of them.

Dusekkar fell backwards almost immediately, and Builderman fell down right under Dusekkar. They landed right back where they were sitting, and they got a front row seat of Slasher reaching over Two Time, and slicing right down on 007n7’s head. Now, with 007n7 dead already, his head split into two vertical pieces, and Two Time only just had stabbed Slasher but not stunning him, there wasn’t going to be an easy way out. Builderman just hissed in pain, knowing that they were probably not gonna make it out this time. Two Time was the next to go, their head being launched right across the room from where their body laid. Dusekkar and Builderman just looked right at each other, they knew what was going to happen. They accepted it.

Guest had run right into the building at the perfect time, watching Builderman and Dusekkar getting torn to shreds.

Yeouch.

Dusekkar and Builderman spawned back in the manor, one just moments after the other.

Dusekkar grumbled to himself, his head throbbed with pain. He heard Builderman groan, and he looked around. Builderman was on his left side, near the stairs, but then on his right side there was a piece of paper.

“...Why is there a piece of paper?” Dusekkar mumbled, getting up on his knees to grab it.

He opened it up to his surprise, his eyes widened seeing it.

“Hm? What is it?” Builderman questioned, sitting up from the ground, noticing Dusekkar’s sudden unease.

“Oh… I… I knew this would come back to bite us.”

“Duse? Whadya mean?”

Dusekkar turned around and showed the paper.

Oh… that.

“What do we do?! What if Taph sees this?!” Dusekkar pressed, looking back at the paper, his voice a tad bit higher than usual.

“Wait, what is the problem if Taph takes a view at their own criminal record?” Two Time asked from the stairs, 007n7 was just sitting on the other side of Builderman, a little guilty for dying like that.

“...Aw great.” Builderman mumbled.

Guest stood there, right in front of Slasher, right in front of their bodies. Right in front of 007n7’s body. Torn apart, blood pooling beneath four different bodies. Blood and Candle wax. The metallic scent of the blood, and the scent of smoke filled Guest’s nose, reminding him of where he was right before he was dragged here. Guest felt useless, as useless when Matt was shot in the battle field, as useless as he was when he watched his parents die in front of him, as useless as when he had to hide in the closet with Matt and Daisy in the orphanage, as useless as–

“Guest, what are ya doing?!” Shedletsky called out from the other side of Slasher, who was now stunned.

Guest couldn’t lift his eyes up from the massacre he just missed.

If only he could get out of his mind!

“Guest?! Hello, are you there?!” Shedletsky shouted, Slasher was now recovering.

If only he was a little faster, if only he was a little stronger, if only he wasn’t fearing for everyone else’s life besides his own everyday! The first day he was brought here he’d known it was going to suck, he knew it was going to be terrible, he knew it was going to hurt, but this badly? Over and over again like a loop? Like a record that keeps on skipping? He swallowed as his hands started to shake, he wouldn’t admit it to anyone, not even on his closest friends graves, that he was scared. He had to help everyone else. He had to be useful. He had to have a reason to be tired.

“GUEST, WAKE UP!” Elliot shouted from behind him. He ran in here to see what the ruckus was about, and to see Guest in a comatose state? Shedletsky trying his best to keep the killer’s attention on him?

Slasher was staring right back at him. With the amount of time that had gone past, Slasher wasn’t stunned anymore. But he couldn’t take his eyes off of Guest.

It was awkward.

Guest felt like he was glued to the ground, frozen in place. He wanted to move, to scream, to do anything but stand there like a deer in headlights, but something wasn’t letting him. He couldn’t even take his eyes off of the mess on the ground!

Slasher felt… odd. Like he wasn’t meant to be here. Like he had somewhere else to be.

They all did in the end. Far from here.

“I…” Guest swallowed the extra spit in his mouth. “I’m sorry.” He shuddered.

Shedletsky and Elliot gave each other weird looks, slightly full of fear as well. They both knew what Guest could do, and he could do it with ease. What does he have to apologize for though? Shedletsky knew that the whole broken nose thing was an accident, and Elliot, while still fearing for his life around Guest, knew that he wasn’t in the right state of mind. Slasher was just clueless.

It took Elliot another moment, looking down at the bodies and then…

Oh.

007n7’s corpse is right there.

Right in front of where Guest was standing.

Judging from what happened last night, especially in the kitchen and cabin, they were much more than friends.

Slasher turned around, landing a hit on Shedletsky, which broke Guest out of his daydreaming.

Just as Slasher turned around, Guest punched him hard in the face, cracking a piece of his mask. Guest let out a hiss of pain, it hurt to move his shoulder all of the sudden. Weird, that had never happened during combat in the war. He quickly looked back up at Slasher, seeing his face from beneath the mask. Elliot let out a gasp, not expecting to see Slasher’s face at all this soon.

The piece of plastic fell to the ground, revealing a piece of Slasher’s face.

Oh dear.

That…

Guest shivered at the sight. Not because of what Slasher looked like, but the fact that the two had seen each other before.

Slasher’s eyes widened a little, a guest? No, not just, THE guest just punched him so hard in the face his mask broke.

Guest cringed at his knuckles and his shoulder, it hurt to move both of them, and he couldn’t lift his arm higher than just above his forearm.

Slasher felt a couple of teeth that were now looser, but all they could do was look at each other.

Elliot and Shedletsky had run away, for fear of getting caught in something.

It felt as if they couldn’t look away from each other.

Guest shivered, holding his arm.

Slasher just stared.

It felt as if there was some deja vu, Guest bit his tongue, remembering how the scene was set up before he risked it all. He risked it all to end up here. Did his sacrifice even help? Was his family going to be okay? He felt terrible, Charlotte would have to grow up without her father, and he’d have to miss all of the important events in her life. Daisy was probably heartbroken, oh poor Daisy. Was Matt okay as well? Did he make it out?

There was a metallic taste in his mouth, probably from biting his tongue so hard, but Slasher just stared.

They just stared at each other.

Slasher tried to attack Guest, but he blocked just in the nick of time, grunting at the brand new wounds he wore on his forearms. Guest tried to go in for another punch, but he just hurt his shoulder more than it already was, and missed in the end. Guest cursed under his breath as he spun around on his heel, running in the other direction, his boots giving away where his position was as they trailed bloody footprints. Slasher wasn’t far off of his tail, still trying to stab, slash, or whatever he could do to Guest. With each step he could tell that Guest was slowing down slightly, the only real thing he was given here besides his somewhat slightly nerfed strength was a slight more tolerance to damage. Where was Chance and Shedletsky? Guest can’t defend himself like this forever! He couldn’t just die again, especially after failing to protect four people within the span of a minute! Slasher had barely missed as Guest slowed down a little more to wipe some blood out of his eyes that trickled down from his face, no seriously, where the hell were they!? Guest cringed as he felt discomfort in his waist, 007n7 might’ve been a little rough last night!

The clock read a perfect five minutes.

This was gonna be a long round.

Taph had just set up a trip wire and a subspace tripmine near the ferris wheel, right where someone could drop down and escape the killer. They had already completed the generator, and three out of five were done, so all he decided to do was sit around and wait for something to happen. He watched Guest trying to run away from Slasher, and they wanted to help. But all Taph could do was support the others, which was barely enough to work at the best of times. The temperature in c00l carnival was always just cool, never freezing cold or boiling hot, but there was the occasional breeze.

Elliot and Chance had split up to go do the two last remaining generators to kill what time they could, while Shedletsky ran right up behind Slasher, hitting him with his sword and stunning him for a moment.

Shedletsky felt victorious, he hated whenever he messed anything up. To be fair, who didn’t?

The stun gave Guest enough time to run away and recollect himself, Shedletsky could fight off Slasher for the time being, he was confident in it!

Guest grumbled to himself, he couldn’t do this for the rest of the day. He had to stop getting reminded of those final moments. Those moments where he pulled the ring to that grenade, that moment where the last thing he saw wasn’t his family, but was rather someone that wanted him dead. That wanted his family dead. Was his family okay? He just wanted an answer from whatever held him here, just one. He needed to know if Charlotte, Daisy, and Matt were going to be okay. Guest saw Chance out of the corner of his eye with Noob, the gambler flipping his coin, hopefully not trying to stack up anymore weakness.

Since no one really had an idea where to put Taph’s wanted poster, Dusekkar just shoved it in one of his robes pockets. If he isn’t getting shaken around, it should stay snug in there. He and 007n7 helped Builderman upstairs, and he grumbled something about Shedletsky. All they could do now was wait for the others to come back, it shouldn’t be long, right? Dusekkar was on the far side of the sofa, and both Two Time and 007n7 took up a sofa chair. It was awkwardly quiet… too awkward for 007n7. Him and Dusekkar could get along, but with his past actions…? That and Dusekkar and Shedletsky don’t seem to trust him, which is fair. 007n7 couldn’t really blame anyone.

Everyone’s attention was averted to a sudden thump, and everyone looked to where the survivors respawned before a round ended, and saw Shedletsky. Turns out an iron sword and a chicken leg are no match to a guy drenched in weapons. Shedletsky groaned into his hands, Guest was practically dead if Elliot didn’t give him any pizza soon, Chance was a target because of his bullshit teasing, and neither Taph or Noob could do much in the first place! The ending for this round was looking ugly.

“Oh dear, did the round not meet your expectations?” Two Time questioned, leaning back a bit in their chair to take a better look at Shedletsky, who was now getting up from the floor.

“Nope, not a bit. Damn he’s stronger than he looks.” Shedletsky mumbled to himself as he stretched his arms.

“I shall pray to the spawn for the rest of our fellow survivors in the round for a quick and easy win! But that is not all, Builderman is waiting upstairs for you.” Two Time continued.

“Oh shit, right! Thanks for reminding me!” Shedletsky said before he scrambled upstairs, leaving the three downstairs.

007n7 just averted his gaze back to the fire, watching the sparks dance around. Oh he wanted to get up and leave but he didn’t know how to do it without it being abrupt! Ooooh this was awkward! Should he just wait for the round to be over and walk away with Guest? Or anyone really. Oh he hated when he was thrown up for decisions!

Not long after Shedletsky went upstairs to meet Builderman, there was a quieter thud. 007n7 and Two Time glanced over to see Noob, who looked like they had just seen a ghost.

“Rough round?” 007n7 asked, finally speaking up since he and Dusekkar left Builderman upstairs.

“I… Yeah. There’s like four minutes still.” Noob answered, getting up from the ground.

“Four minutes? My my! The first rounds are always rough!” Two Time said, glancing over at Noob again, shock in their eyes.

“Yeah, and all of the generators are done too.” Noob brought up.

“Oh, is it bad to say I don’t think we’re gonna win this round?” 007n7 questioned.

“No, I wouldn’t say that 007n7! It is good to think positive, especially in the name of the holy spawn!” Two Time said.

Dusekkar wasn’t even listening to what was being said, instead he was too busy trying to keep his eyes open. Of course he would stay awake, this headache would probably kill him if it could.

“–but I wouldn’t count on it. Builderman and Shedletsky are upstairs by the way.” 007n7’s voice rung through Dusekkar’s head. Maybe sleep would help?

He just quietly sighed, not wanting to scare anyone away. He closed his eyes, listening to Noob, 007n7, and Two Time chatter. He heard someone say a quick goodbye before they walked away, and the main part of the manor dipped into silence again. Mostly, besides Shedletsky digging around the place for a medkit or something.

Noob walked over into the kitchen, noticing the kettle on the ground, and the wood that soaked the water up. How long had it been since someone was in here? Noob groaned to themself as they picked up the now slightly scratched kettle. They placed it on the counter before they reached up for a small glass cup. Once it was in their grasp, they walked over to the sink, and filled it up with water. Builderman would want water, right? It was a good idea to offer it to him at least, he sounded like he wasn’t in the best condition.

Builderman sighed to himself as he attempted to get comfy on the couch in the library room upstairs. Shedletsky had told him to go wait in there for him, but it’s been a little bit longer than what he’d expected. Builderman bit his tongue, knowing that the pain when he had to get his arm readjusted to be healed properly was going to hurt like a bitch. He closed his eyes, hopefully Taph wasn’t going to be so… mad? Sad? Shy? Something on those lines… He sighed, not thinking about anything for a moment, just letting time fly by. This would be over soon, right? Everything would be just fine, and everyone could go back to their lives before. It would be all over soon…

So soon…

“Don’t fall asleep just yet, Shedletsky is still looking for a medkit.” Someone spoke up.

Builderman’s eyes shot open, surprised to hear anyone else was around. He calmed down a little to see Noob on the other side of the room, holding a small glass of water.

“He tried looking in the bathroom but the one in there didn’t have much.” They continued, walking up to Builderman.

“Dear, Noob you just scared the shit outta me!” Builderman admitted, leaning his head back on the couch.

“Oh, sorry! I didn’t mean to, I didn’t expect you to be trying to sleep…” Noob apologized, placing the water on the ground, next to a lantern that seemed like it had been there since yesterday. Weird, wasn’t it Guest and 007n7 in here a little while ago?

“No, don’t worry about it. I wasn’t trying to sleep, you didn’t disrupt anything.” Builderman said, closing his eyes again.

“You look quite… dirty… are you gonna be able to shower?” Noob asked, Builderman looked like he rolled around in mud for fun.

“Meeeh… no clue.” Builderman slurred a little, hearing someone shuffling for stuff outside of the room.

“I FOUND IT!” Shedletsky shouted in relief, muffled through the door.

The door burst open, and there Shedletsky was, gleaming while holding a medkit that had been refilled with medical tools.

“Noob, buddy, I shoulda listened to you, it was in the closet!” Shedletsky said as he closed the door behind him. “Though Buildsy, you look… gross.” He continued as he walked up to him and Noob.

“Yeah, thanks.” Builderman mumbled. Noob just stood there like a lost dog.

“Maybe cleaning him up before attempting to put on a cast would help rather than letting him linger around all… muddy.” Noob brought up, looking back down to Builderman.

“Yeah, we should probably do that…” Builderman mumbled as he sat up.

“Here, let’s go to that now instead.” Shedletsky said as he held his hand out for Builderman to grab onto.

After the two left, Noob stayed, and glanced at all of the drawings. Most of them were maps, the maps they played on. There was a couple of brandons world ones, a base for the brand new pizza place map they played on just yesterday, and most notably a blank piece of paper. Now… would it hurt if Noob sat down and drew for a bit? It had been a little while since the last time they tried…

When the two walked into the washroom, Shedletsky noticed that the shower was still on. Shit, hot water didn’t last forever! He quickly squeezed by Builderman to turn it off, while Builderman closed the toilet lid and sat on it, waiting for Shedletsky to try and help. The bathroom wasn’t anything big, nor fancy, but a decent one for the hell everyone was shoved into. Especially with ten people, and what everyone would assume is ten and counting. Shedletsky placed the medkit on the counter, and bent down to the cabinet, looking for… Aha! He reached in, and pulled out a small cloth meant for cleaning. Whatever, what’s gonna happen if he uses it to clean mud off of someone instead?

The round ended, and Guest barely made it out of this one. Elliot, Chance, and Taph were the others that also survived. Chance chuckled, while Elliot didn’t look so impressed with them. Taph just sat there… staring into space.

Guest let out a sigh of relief, it would only get harder from here, wouldn’t it? Oh well, for now he can rest for a moment. While Chance was too busy arguing with Elliot about something, they snagged the photo with him and ITrapped from the table, hoping no one else saw.

They thought no one else saw.

But they don’t have the best peripheral vision.

Guest decided to get up and stretch, his legs were still somewhat sore. As the wooden chair screeched against the floor, someone’s voice from the second floor was heard.

“Do any of you guys know if the round is over yet? I might need Guest or Chance to help me out here!” Shedletsky called out.

“I’ll be up in a moment, the round just ended!” Guest replied.

Shedletsky seemed fine with that answer as he didn’t call out anything else.

After Guest took a moment to bottle everything from the round up, he made his way upstairs, giving Two Time and 007n7 a wave. That round was… less eventful near the end. Was it because Slasher was tired? Maybe, first round of the day and what not. When Guest reached the washroom, the bright light spilling out from the open door, he was surprised to see Builderman in his condition.

“What happened?! You were just fine last night!” Guest asked, his jaw hung a little.

“It’s a long story, I’ll tell ya later…” Builderman said, yawning right afterwards.

“So… you know some medical things, right?” Shedletsky questioned.

“Yea…?”

“...Do you know anything about broken bones perchance?”

“Oh yeah, just some basic stuff though. Like how to make a cast out of rope and some sticks, or how to put the bone back into the socket–”

“Great! I don’t have a clue what I am doing here, could you maybe… y’know?”

“Mhm. How long has your arm been broken for?” Guest asked, looking down at Builderman’s swollen arm.

“...It woulda been since late last night? Right before the rain.” Builderman answered.

“Oh… ouch. I’m gonna have to re-break it to put it back into the socket.” Guest said, watching Builderman purse his lips.

“..Is there any way we can do this without the re-breakin’ or does that have to happen?”

Guest thought about it for a moment, and all of the things that could happen…

“Well it would be different if we weren’t stuck here, hell you probably wouldn’t even have a fractured bone right now, but this is our best chance to have it heal closer to properly compared to… that.” Guest explained.

Builderman sighed, oh he really didn’t want to do this.

“Okay, just make it quick.” He begged.

“Don’t worry, I’ll try.”

First was trying to break the bone. Now no one wanted this to become more of a mess than it already was, so Guest had Shedletsky hold Builderman’s arm in a way so he could try breaking it with pure strength. He held onto the most fucked up part of Buildermans arm, and then proceeded to bend, which had Builderman starting to scream in pain. This wasn’t even the worst of it yet…

Guest kept trying and trying, knowing that Builderman’s arm was more sensitive since it looked closer to a silly straw that Charlotte begged for. They only worked a couple of times before they were all melted in the dishwasher.

After a couple of more attempts, there was crunching heard. When Guest let one of his hands go, he could tell that the bone was broken into two. Shedletsky looked over at Builderman’s face, which had tears dripping down it.

“Sorry, I didn’t expect it to be that hard to break.” Guest apologized.

“Nope! No worries!” Builderman sputtered out between sobs he was trying to hold in.

“Okay, now we have to try and put it back into his socket, right?” Shedletsky asked.

“Yeah… just hold Builderman up, I’ll try pulling it back into place.”

“Aw shit, we ain’t even done yet?” Builderman asked.

“Nope, we’re closer though.” Guest replied, watching Sheldetsky moving his arms from Builderman’s, wrapping right around Builderman’s body.

“Alright, hold on, this is going to hurt like a bitch.” Guest said, holding Builderman’s broken arm, while Shedletsky was holding Builderman.

“Yup, already bracing for it!” Builderman replied as he squeezed his eyes shut, waiting for it.

“Alright, sorry about this!” Guest blurted out right before he pulled back once, which resulted in Builderman screaming in pain.

This was gonna be a long process.

Guest kept pulling, and pulling, watching Builderman’s arm slowly but surely bend more into a shape that an arm is meant to be in.

Builderman turned his head away from Guest, tears dripping down his face. With every pull, it hurt more and more. Cracks and more fractures were being heard as Guest tried his damn best to get it as close as he could. He was trying to be quiet, but there is only so much he could do while his bones were basically getting rearranged.

Shedletsky just cringed at the noises, thank god he decided to go into sword fighting and not anything in the medical field.

Right after another pull, Guest took a closer look at Builderman’s arm, which… looked better at least.

“Okay, I have no idea if this is okay, but are you fine with this for now?” Guest asked, grabbing the medkit from the counter.

“Mhm!” Builderman hummed.

Guest popped open the medkit, to actually find stuff to help Builderman. Like genuine cast materials.

C00lkidd was still fast asleep. Knocked out? Not dead, he wasn’t dead anymore. …Unconscious, when 1x1x1x1 walked into his room, a little worried for him. She had a plate of food, and set it down on the nightstand right by C00lkidds bed, and turned on the drakkobloxxer themed lamp. There was now a comforting red glow as 1x1x1x1 could get a closer look at C00lkidd, just what did the specter do to him?! He felt his forehead, and it definitely wasn’t a fever. In fact, C00lkidd felt kind of cold. 1x1x1x1 took a quick glance around the room, and it felt too clean for the meltdown C00lkidd had.

“...I just want my father…” C00lkidd said as he turned over in bed, sleep talking.

1x1x1x1 didn’t know what to do, but it was obvious he was still asleep. She decided to leave him alone, he would wake up when he woke up. As long as he’s still alive, that’s all he’s worried about.

Guest finished wrapping up Builderman’s cast with ease, like he had done this countless times before.

“Alright… and you should be good to go!” Guest said as he stood up.

“Thank ya Guest, I don’t know what woulda happened without ya!” Builderman said.

His sling for the cast was just one of Shedletsky’s old shirts he didn’t really wear anymore, but he had here for some reason.

“No problem, glad I could help!” Guest replied.

Just after Builderman stopped screaming (finally), Dusekkar felt someone sit down on the couch right next to him. Right next to the pocket that had Taph’s wanted poster, folded up. Dusekkar didn’t think anything of it, until he heard someone snatch it, and open it right up. Dusekkar’s eyes shot open, and looked right at the person next to him… which was Taph.

“What are you doing digging through my robes?” Dusekkar tried to defend himself, but it was too late as Taph had taken a closer look at the paper.

“...”

“Taph? What are you–”

“❔ 🎃 🟰 📰 ❓ (Why do you even have this?)” They asked, looking back up at Dusekkar.

“Because someone found it while searching for Builderman. I know how you feel about that… situation.” Dusekkar said, watching Taphs grip on the paper tighten, creating crinkles where his fingers pressed into it. “You know I wouldn’t use it against you, right?” Dusekkar brought up, trying to somehow lighten the mood.

“🧍 🔍 📰 ❓ (Who found this?)” Taph questioned.

“Oh, I don’t know, Two Time maybe? It could be Chance as well–”

“It was I and 007n7! It was hanging from a tree!” Two Time admitted.

Taph looked back at Two Time, then right at Dusekkar.

Dusekkar knew all about how Taph wanted to keep his past more of a secret to the other survivors, but them out of all people here finding this dreaded paper? Taph couldn’t find it in themself to believe Dusekkar on this.

“💥🟰💩 (I call bullshit.)”

“Wha, what do you mean?! I rarely lie, why would I lie about this?” Dusekkar asked, getting more defensive, sitting up a little straighter than he was.

“🍔 🔪 🔍 📰 ❔ 🎃 🟰 📰 ❓ (If they found it, why would you have it?)” Taph grilled, folding up the paper slightly.

“Why would we lie about finding something like this?” 007n7 asked. He was not given an answer as Dusekkar and Taph kept arguing.

It caught the attention of Elliot and Chance as well, the duo just watching from the hallway that leads to the kitchen and dining room.

“Ugh, demolitionists and their hearing… they found the paper while looking for–”

“❔ 🎃 🟰 🚫 🤓 (When did you become so dense?)” Taph insulted, shoving the paper into one of his pockets.

“Eh? DENSE? How am I DENSE when you won’t even listen TO MY SIDE OF THE STORY?” Dusekkar shouted in anger, not noticing the candle wax starting to drip out of his face again.

“🔥 💥 🟰 ✅ 🎃 ➡️ 📚 🌎 💥 🟰 🫥 (Like hell I would believe you after all of the shit that happened before I went into hiding!)” Taph bit back.

“That wasn’t JUST my fault! You have Shedletsky and–”

“❓❓❓🎃 ➕ 🧍 🧍 🟰 🔥 🎃 🟰 🚫 🛠️ ❗💥 🟰 💣 ➕ 💥 🌎 ↔️ 🎃 ➕ 💥 🟰 🏠❗ (So?! YOU were still a part of the problem that YOU didn’t want to fix! I could still be doing MY JOB and living my life instead of being stuck here with you!)”

“Maybe learn how to follow the rules first and THEN go do your job!”

“🎃 🟰 🔍 🔪 📚 💔 ➕ 🧍 🟰 💥 ✅ ↔️ ❌ ❗🎃 🟰 🔥 😣❗ (Whatever, go find other things to use against the others, see if I care! You sure as hell are sensitive!)” Taph waved off as he got up and started walking over to the front door.

Dusekkar got up to try and follow, to try and calm things down. He wasn’t sensitive, was he? He stumbled a little as his headache was growing worse.

“Taph–”

Taph shoved Dusekkar back a little, wanting to be left alone. The door slammed closed, as people were now all watching, interested in something that didn’t happen.

Dusekkar tried to walk away from everyone in the manor, he couldn’t be seen as weak. He couldn’t let his emotions get in the way!

“Matt, what happened?” Shedletsky asked, walking down the stairs.

Dusekkar was in the middle of the manor when…

He screamed in pain as he fell down to his knees, holding his head, trying to protect what was left of his flame, which was glowing a light blue. Candle wax was all over his face, and it kept spilling out from his face, getting all over his robes and the floor beneath him. This is one of the many reasons he tries to bottle everything up, if he cries he spills it everywhere! Something he noticed within everything happening though was the candle wax was lacking the ash that usually flowed in the hot river. He felt himself shaking as he brought one of his hands up to one of his antlers. The area around it felt… squishy. Odd, he couldn’t age. Was he rotting? Everything around Dusekkar blended together, the shouting, the questions, the… door.

He had to get out of here. While it was too late for his ego, now seemingly destroyed, he still had his wits.

Dusekkar felt around for anything to help him stand up, but he felt someone's hand on his shoulder instead.

“GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF ME!” He shouted, moving away from Guest’s hand that now hung in the air.

Guest backed up a little, giving Dusekkar space.

“Okay, just… calm down! Everyone!” Shedletsky shouted, watching some of the others back up from Dusekkar.

Builderman and Noob were watching from the balcony on the second floor, not noticing Two Time in the rafters.

“Calm down? CALM DOWN?! I have been DEALING WITH A POUNDING HEAD ACHE SINCE I’VE WOKEN UP! SINCE WE FOUND OUT THAT BUILDERMAN WENT MISSING! I have had to deal with… UTTER BULLSHIT WHILE TRYING TO STAY AWAKE! If you are BLIND, you cannot see the candle wax, A PIECE OF WHAT KEEPS ME ALIVE, is pouring out OF MY FACE!” Dusekkar yelled, not even thinking about what he was saying.

Silence.

Chance’s jaw was agape, who knew someone as quiet, yet as snotty, as Dusekkar would ever yell like this?!

The door slammed to Taph’s cabin, shaking all of the traps inside. It was still raining outside, but less than it had been. They leaned against the door, not even bothering to turn on any of the lights, and slid down so they would be sitting. Why would Dusekkar have this AFTER everything that’s happened? Taph didn’t mean to do any of that! He knew that! Taph reached into his pocket, and pulled out the paper. They opened up the now wrinkled wanted poster, anything from the outside world just scribbled out. They hated seeing this everywhere he went. He tried and tried to beg and plead with the admins after they sent MrDoombringer after him, but they did jackshit. As per usual. Taph was only doing his job, the dirty work for them, and HE got into trouble for doing what he was told?! Taph just let go of the paper, letting it fall to the floor as his head sunk into his knees.

“Duse, just breathe–”

“WHAT DO YOU THINK I’VE BEEN DOING THIS ENTIRE TIME YOU IMBICEL?!” Dusekkar yelled, snatching his staff through his blurry vision.

007n7 and Guest just stood there, wide eyes, with the others, watching Dusekkar struggling to stand, but in the end he does it, using his staff now as a cane.

“Dusekkar! Don’t go walking to your cabin, you can barely stand!” Builderman shouted from the second floor.

“Get off of my ass, I can sustain myself…” Dusekkar mumbled to himself, quiet enough so at least the people on the second floor would hear. He attempted to float, and it got his body up and off of the ground, but only for a moment. Just as he started to move, candle wax was still rushing out of his face like waterfalls, he fell.

The manor filled with ‘oooooh’s at the scene as Dusekkar grunted in pain, bringing his hands up to his head again.

Builderman stood up, ready to rush downstairs, before Noob spoke up.

“Are you sure you want to go downstairs? You should be careful with your–”

“I’m going to go downstairs and help.” Builderman cut off, his one hand holding onto the railing for dear life.

Shedletsky was already making his way to the pumpkin mage that could barely hold himself up, and was clearly suffering. Builderman was halfway down the stairs when Dusekkar’s groaning and quiet sobs became higher in pitch.

Two Time couldn’t help but think that something bad was going to happen. I mean, when has anything gone completely right in this place? They would love to help, but being high up in the rafters, and the fact Dusekkar doesn’t like them, and around half of the others, it wouldn’t work out the best. That and they had no idea what would even help Dusekkar in the first place.

“Would you like help to your cabin?” Shedletsky asked, ignoring the others that were just watching.

“NO! I just… ugh, I’ll do it myself!” Dusekkar demanded, hissing in pain as he tried to sit up.

“Dusekkar–”

“Oh shut it will you?! I am fully capable of taking care of myself, if anything I am NOT weak!” Dusekkar continued, using the wall to help him stand up.

“Sit down, you can barely stand up straight, let alone sit!” Builderman said as he stepped down the last couple of steps.

“Oh that’s rich of you to say!” Dusekkar grumbled, leaning against the wall.

He heard Builderman start to talk, probably scolding him, but everything started to blur together. His hearing, his vision… his mind… it was trippy. He had yet to notice that from where he originally laid to where he was standing now, there was a trail of candle wax, some of it starting to dry. Ugh… he’d clean it up when his eyes could actually define something other than just blobs of colour. Dusekkar shivered, the pain in his head was still strong, and only catching every other word from whoever was talking wasn’t helping. That and the bright lights, the texture of the wood… oh god this was starting to get a lot…

Dusekkar just closed his eyes, listening to the muffled voices of whoever was around, until a couple of them gasped, while others whispered to another, something was wrong. Worse than wrong. His eyes shot open as he hissed in pain, it felt like something was shifting inside of his head.

“–and you can’t just… Matt? Are ya okay?” Builderman asked, stopping his tangent.

Shedletsky moved to place a hand on Dusekkar’s shoulder, while he was lifting one of his hands up to his antlers. There was a stabbing feeling right by where his antlers were.

After some more silence, someone else spoke up, but Dusekkar wasn’t focusing on that. He wasn’t focusing on anything, not even the dribbling candle wax from his face anymore.

Before Dusekkar could do anything else, he suddenly slumped back down to his knees, letting out a pained scream as his antlers seemed to have shifted a little. Shedletsky took a step back, watching Dusekkar writhe in odd pain that no one could explain where it was coming from.

With just another passing moment, even the specter was curious. This wasn’t meant to happen according to its plan. Jeez, it had to get its plans under control. It loved to torture it’s victims, but giving a ten year old cardiac arrest, a immortal warlock something that would change his appearance forever, and severely damaging the others outside of the rounds? At this point, the killers might give the survivors more pity than the specter itself! Oh well, that didn’t matter now. If only the specter had a digestive system, then it would be munching on popcorn like this was a movie.

The sobs of pain were loud, something you would rarely ever hear from Dusekkar. So rare that people thought he couldn’t cry.

Just like that, after another moment of what looked like his antlers shifting within his head, they fell to the ground, leaving small, but deep holes in both sides of Dusekkar’s head. When they clattered to the floor, everyone was shell shocked.

What could they do!? What would they do?! Elliot’s healing pizza, and Shedletsky’s chicken, could only do so in rounds, Dusekkar couldn’t use any spells on himself, Builderman can’t, well, build a dispenser with a broken arm, and no one else had a clue of what to do.

That’s when an idea clicked in Guest’s head.

“Okay, everyone get out! Leave them be, now’s not the time to watch!” Guest commanded, using a more stern tone than usual.

No one could really argue with the whole situation going on, so while some grumbled to themselves, others just glanced at Dusekkar, eventually they shuffled their way out. Except for Two Time and Noob, someone had to help the cultist get down from the rafters. Builderman just sighed when he saw the cultist climb their way back to the second floor balcony, while Guest was at the still open front door, 007n7 waiting outside for him.

“Two Time, how many times do I have to say to NOT climb on those? We don’t know how much weight they can handle!” Builderman called out from below.

“Pardon?”

“You cannot keep going up there, ya hear me?” Builderman tried to scold, but Two Time was honestly having troubles trying to understand what he was saying.

“Just leave them be, you’ll have more time to scold them tonight. If you need me, I’ll either be in my cabin, or 007n7’s.” Guest said, watching Noob trying to grab out for Two Time from the railings.

“Alright, I’ll mention that to Shed’. Thanks for getting everyone out.” Builderman replied, his gaze moving from the situation happening above their heads, to Dusekkar who was in shambles, and Shedletsky trying to help, but only getting muffled sobs as responses.

“No worries. Good luck, you three.” Guest said before he gently closed the door, sighing as he did so.

He looks back at some of the others going to their cabins, or someone else’s. That’s when someone caught his eye.

Taph was walking towards the docks, but he was trying to be discreet about it. Hiding behind cabins and trees, looking out from those spots to see if anyone had noticed him at all, it was strange to Guest.

“Wow, what a tiring round that was…” 007n7 admitted, fanning himself as if he just got out from it.

“Mhm. The first ones are always the more… experimental ones.” Guest replied.

“That or it’s the last ones. Rarely the second ones.” 007n7 brought up, standing up so he and Guest could walk.

The two walked down the beaten trail where so much happened. For once it was peaceful, no one running down it to warn them of something else, no one actively being hurt, besides Dusekkar, but he was in good hands. Guest thought so anyway. But for once it was calm. Finally.

Though Guest supposed there was something missing.

He grabbed and latched onto 007n7’s hand, just holding it as they continued to make their way to what 007n7 assumed was Guest’s cabin.

Guest looked over at 007n7, watching his cheeks turn into a slight pink, and a small smile forming on his face.

“So I was thinking…” Guest started, catching 007n7’s attention. “Should we shower before the next round, or wait for all of them to be over?” He asked, letting 007n7 make the call.

While 007n7 had never had the misfortune of going into a round mid-shower, he didn’t like the thought of him eventually having to deal with a situation like… that. Wait, wasn’t Two Time in the shower when the round started? Their hair was wet… hm… maybe they were just being fast.

“I mean, you can, but I think I’ll just wait for the rounds to be over. I don’t want to end up in a round with… no clothes on, y’know?” 007n7 answered, not noticing they had walked right past Guest’s cabin. He did notice Guest still walking with a limp.

“Sorry, but was I too hard on you last night?” 007n7 asked, looking down at Guest’s waist, and then up at his face, that was now a brighter pink.

“Oh– not at all! I think because that was my first time and–”

“You sure? I didn’t see you during the round, but right now you can barely pick up your legs.” 007n7 pointed out, watching Guest’s face flush into a deeper red.

“Oh no, not at all. I’m just… new to it is all.” Guest made up. Well, he wasn’t wrong, getting pegged? For the first time? He was bound to be a little wobbly for a bit.

“Alright, I just don’t want you to feel like you had to do that, dear.” 007n7 said, looking away from Guest now, his cheeks brighter now as well.

“If I must ask, where are we going? We passed the other cabins.” Guest asked, looking back at the poorly built buildings.

007n7 looked back as well, watching a golden light turn off in one of the cabins. Thats when that reminded him, his cabin was still a mess! Oh god, he was silently praying that Guest didn’t ask him to go to his cabin, no one needed to see that failed attempt! Was that even an attempt, or just a shitty made scheme that he knew he wasn’t going to go through with?

“I… don’t really have a clue. If I’m being honest I was letting you drag me.” 007n7 answered, looking back at Guest.

“Oh, I was letting you take the lead!” Guest chuckled out, looking at 007n7.

“Oh! Oh we are two peas in a pod!” 007n7 giggled right before he let go of Guest’s hand, only to move his head down a little more to give him a kiss on the lips.

Guest was surprised, this was more passionate than the pecks from last night! But he leaned into it, humming to show he was content.

Chance left his cabin, now in clean clothes, and was absolutely gobsmacked to see Guest and 007n7 kissing. It was just coincidence, Chance looked over at the perfect time to see them smooching. Wow, nothing’s ever dry here, is it? They watched 007n7 break the kiss, and look back over to the manor while saying something to Guest, but freeze up when he saw Chance.

These guys are really bad at secrets.

Guest looked over, and his eyes widened at the sight of Chance.

These two were REALLY bad at keeping secrets.

“Whoopsies! I should get going, shouldn’t I?” Is all that Chance said.

This was really awkward. First them cuddling in Guest’s cabin, and then fucking in Guest’s cabin, now kissing outside of 007n7’s cabin? Chance just gave a weak smile as they walked backwards, his hand reaching for the door handle, and walked back into their own cabin.

Guest and 007n7 just looked back at each other, both faces burning.

“First Two Time and Builderman, now Chance?!” 007n7 brought his hands to his face, groaning.

“...Well… Chance sorta was the… the first one really.” Guest admitted.

“WHAT?!”

“They may or may not have… walked into my cabin when you fell asleep on me a couple of days ago.” Guest continued. 007n7 was bright red now, his jaw agape.

“Oh no, have they told anyone?! Has he said anything to you about it? Is this how everyone else will find out about us?!” 007n7 could feel himself about to spiral, vocally for once, but was slightly calmed by what Guest said next.

“No, don’t worry seven. Chance promised not to tell anyone.”

“Wait, IT HAPPENED BEFORE BUILDERMAN?!” 007n7 shouted out of fear. Slight annoyance as well because sometimes Chance will just blurt things out.

“Shh, hold on, quiet down! It’s going to be fine, they won’t go around and tell anybody, I’m sure of it! They promised, honey!” Guest tried to reassure as he grabbed 007n7’s shoulders.

But what if they do tell anyone? 007n7 was fine if people knew he wasn’t just into girls and blah blah blah, but he didn’t want to tarnish Guest’s reputation because he was hanging around him!

“It’s going to be okay, Seven.” Guest said, pulling him in for a hug.

Two Time always liked being up high. The cabin rafters were a perfect example. But there was a con whenever they somehow got themselves up there…

They couldn’t get down by themself. It wasn’t just them that got up there either, Taph goes up there occasionally, Noob, Elliot, and Chance have also been up there once, and it wasn’t fun to get them all down around the same time. Who’s good idea was it to go up there anyways? Two Time was holding onto the edge of the rafter tighter than they held onto their dagger, their nails digging into the somewhat rotten wood. Noob held their arms out, waiting for Two Time to make a jump, but the last thing anyone needed right now, especially with other conditions, was to get hurt. Again. They had… Dusekkar and Builderman who couldn’t do much, 007n7 and his… habits, Taph and Guest with something always taunting them in their minds, Taph with a goose egg on their head from when Dusekkar hit him, Shedletsky and his sudden urges of ‘hate’, Elliot getting homesick. That’s almost everyone that Builderman only knows about!

Builderman looked back at the two after the door was closed, Dusekkar looked ill. Shedletsky was on his knees, straining them a little, but he could bear it for a little longer if it even brought an ounce of comfort to a fellow admin in pain. Builderman limped his way over, watching Dusekkar’s frame tremble as each second passed by. Of course there wasn’t much Builderman could do himself, but there had to be more than just stand around and do nothing! Besides Dusekkar crumbling in pain.

“Thank you dear Noob, I am forever grateful for your help!” Two Time thanked as they hopped off of the railing, landing on their feet as Noob was still holding onto one of their hands.

“No problem! No one deserves to be stuck up somewhere high out of all places.” Noob replied, letting go of Two Time’s hand.

The two glanced down to the mess below, watching Shedletsky trying to help Dusekkar sit up, while all Builderman could do was stand and watch. It seemed as if Dusekkar couldn’t catch his breath, and he didn’t dare open his eyes. Two Time quietly gasped, noticing the antlers on the ground, and the brand new holes on the side of Dusekkar’s head. Now deer do lose their antlers, it’s normal, but when has Dusekkar ever had something like this happen to him before? Oh as much as they don’t get along, Two Time made a mental note to pray to the Spawn later for a fast and easy recovery for him.

“Oh my, is our pumpkin mage doing okay?! What could have I possibly missed?!” They whispered, knowing that they really should get moving instead.

“No one really knows, not even Dusekkar himself. Him and I were in the manor when he got a migraine, and I just thought it was stress, but it turned out to be… well… this. This instead.” Noob quietly explained, shuddering a little at Dusekkar’s pained groans and hisses as Shedletsky lifted him up from the armpits.

“–hey! Careful… carefully…” Builderman’s voice seemed quieter than usual, backing up a little so Shedletsky could lay Dusekkar down somewhere that isn’t in the middle of the floor.

“Should we put him on the sofa upstairs or down here?” Shedletsky asked, trying to be gentle as he started to move a little.

“...Upstairs please, it’s dark up there.” Dusekkar almost choked out, his voice cracking. His appearance was disheveled to say the least.

“Is there anything ya want us to do ‘bout your antlers?” Builderman questioned, leaning on the back of the sofa so he wouldn’t be putting all of his weight on his sprained ankle.

“I… just…” Dusekkar groaned, it was starting to hurt to even think! The light was bright, his head was throbbing now, and whatever it was, it wasn’t going to go away easily, was it?

“We’ll just put them in your house for now, ‘kay?” Shedletsky offered, nearing the stairs, still trying to go slow to not bother Dusekkar anymore than he already was. Dusekkar just groaned in approval, he just wanted to sleep for now.

Two Time and Noob moved near the T.V, giving Shedletsky and Dusekkar enough room to get to the library room. There were small droplets of wax on the wood leading to the room, probably from Dusekkar, or the lantern from Guest and 007n7 from the other night. Once Shedletsky reached the door, he tried to move Dusekkar to one of his arms so his other hand could open it, but Dusekkar just hissed in pain again, trying to hold in most of his pathetic noises.

“Ah, sorry Duse. Hey, could one of you open the door for me?” Shedletsky asked, looking over at Noob and Two Time.

“I would love to! Afterall, the Spawn said to–”

“Two Time. Not now. Please.” Dusekkar begged as he leaned his head back into Shedletsky’s shoulder.

“...Alright!” Two Time said, understanding the circumstances of the situation.

They walked over and opened the door, and pushed it open for Shedletsky. He walked in, the scent of smoke a little stronger now. He gently laid Dusekkar down, careful to try and not aggravate whatever was going on with him. The only light shining in the room was from the hallway outside. Dusekkar let out a quiet thank you, his body still tense. Shedletsky removed his arms from Dusekkar, and looked over at the desk. Odd, one of the pencil sharpeners was missing. Meh, must’ve fallen onto the ground or something. Shedletsky decided not to pay any mind to it.

“You’re fine in here for now, right?” Shedletsky asked, standing up.

Dusekkar didn’t say anything, but just grunted in approval. He’d be just fine. If the other survivors didn’t see him as weak before this, they definitely would now. An immortal warlock from ancient times can’t even protect himself in a purgatory made for him and others? Can’t even protect anyone else in combat?

As this was going on, both Noob and Two Time couldn’t help but watch.

That was until they heard someone’s voice from below.

“You two, I thought ya heard Guest tellin’ everyone to get a move on!” Builderman scolded, watching Noob and Two Time scurry to the railing.

“Oh, do not worry Buildsy, dear ol’ Noob was helping me down from the rafters, and then Shedletsky asked me to open the door for him and Dusekkar! No ill will on our parts, we swear to the holy Spawn!” Two Time lectured. That excuse was half baloney. Not entirely hogwash.

Builderman took a moment, humming in suspicion, his glare not leaving the two still upstairs.

“But we shall leave, I think we may have… sorta over stayed our welcome…?” Noob sputtered out, watching Builderman’s face expression shift a little.

“No, no, don’t worry about staying in the manor. It’s just… in a stressful situation like this? Even after someone tells you to leave?” Builderman brought up.

Noob and Two Time just nodded, like two kids getting scolded by a teacher for something they weren’t meant to do.

“You can stay and help clean up instead!” Shedletsky teased as he closed the door behind him, leaving Dusekkar to have some much needed rest.

“I mean, it is the least we can do, correct?” Two Time asked, looking over at Noob, waiting for some form of approval.

“Yeah…” Noob let out, internally groaning. How do you even clean wax?

“Nope, no cleaning until you get yourself cleaned first. You, 007n7, Chance, and Guest are just caked in dry mud.” Builderman pointed out, not wanting the manor to be more of a mess than it already is.

“Hm? Oh yeah! Whoops! I forgot to clean myself after I cleaned–”

“That’s enough out of you Shed.”

Taph sat down on the shore, listening to the water doing its thing. The paper was in his hands, crinkled beyond repair. He uncrinkled it to look at it, and it was mainly the same besides a couple of new rips on the edges, and tear marks from where he sobbed. The words that weren’t scribbled out read “WANTED FOR UNAUTHORIZED MODERATION, NPC MURDER, AND DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY”. It wasn’t even his fault! They didn’t mean it! But they had to keep their composer. No one else should be seeing this anyways. It had a scent of gasoline and smoke, obviously one of the posters hung up outside of a gas station somewhere. Surprising that something from how long ago can still smell like something no one here would be ever able to see again. As much as Taph hated the stench of gas, it was better than nothing from the outside world. But no one else should see this. If that happens then who knows what's next?! What if his reputation becomes like 007n7’s? What if it’s worse since he was working for the HQ?! What’ll happen to Taph if they were to ever get out of here?! Would he have to go back into hiding for the rest of his life? Would he have to move across the world just for an ounce of privacy?! What if they get arrested on the spot?! Taph just sighed, there was no use in worrying about it now. They crumbled the paper up into a ball, and threw it right into the murky water that had been used as a garbage disposal. The balled up paper floated away as it slowly sank, and Taph just watched. That day… ugh. Taph just grabbed the edges of his robes and wrapped them tighter around themself, not wanting to be around anyone right now. He was lucky to not run into Slasher last round, but what about the next round? Who was it going to be?

That question was going to get answered soon.

The place Taph was in was still dark.

But not any murky beach, nor carnival.

Is this… oh what game was it… underground war?

Taph looked to his left, was that a body already?

He looked to his right, and there was a subtle green glow.

The specter snickered a little, oh the things it told 1x1x1x1. Oh the things that 1x1x1x1 would taunt the other survivors with. It would be like venom from a snake, trickling down someone’s arm as it bit into the person…

That and a brand new variant for the map! Guest would love this…

The specter knew why…

Notes:

uuhuhuuuu just some baloney as context or something when everythings kinda weird because uuuh whoops! fics spanning 3 months about a game thats still in beta kinda doesnt work together! Basically this was made (and mostly written) before:
-Jason was switched to Slasher (hence why the lore between him and Guest is so... bleak)

-Two Times redesign AND rework (no cloak for them but their rework was early enough for me to catch it) alongside the underground war map, I don't think I've mentioned it once

-Noli and the two maps released with him (the first chapter with him in it was pre-release AND pre-redesign, the second chapter with him in it was post-release) his map hasn't been mentioned yet but the pizza place one has its own set of chapters

-C00l carnivals new rework but this ones okay i dont think i've mentioned this either

-the slight Brandons World rework as well but its briefly mentioned after the one chapter

-Veeronica and Guest 666's release + everyone after their release (no the wont get mentioned BESIDES THE KILLERS in this fic if they get released before the time i finish it sorry)

-The lobby rework, im currently trying to figure out how i'd make it work but like as of rn its still the old one

-NOLIS LORE CHANGE this is one of the biggest things. For ease im deciding to stay with the old outdated lore from his pre-release AND release in july, just note that his new lore he doesnt even know 007n7 until he goes to forsaken (from what we know of!)

anything else that gets added before this fic ends basically if that makes it easier
