The Seven Husbands of Lily Evans

Summary:

When Teddy Lupin gets to hears that he will be interviewing the one and only Lily Evans, he is astonished.

The actress is known for her incredible movies, iconic fashion looks, unhumanlike beauty and (mostly) her seven husbands.
She will tell everything in this interview, but why was Teddy chosen and which husband did she actually love?

Notes:

This idea has been in my head for so long, but I don't really have time to write a lot, so don't expect things to happen quickly.
Also, English isn't my first language, but I will try my best (you can kindly correct my on my grammar mistakes if needed).

Chapter 1: Present: The start

Chapter Text

Present:

"Mr. Tonks."

"Mr. Tonks!" This time, Teddy looked up. His colleague Miranda was at the door of his office.

"Skeeter wants to talk with you." She said with an annoyed face, although Teddy didn't really bother. He put his headphones down and went ahead to Rita Skeeter's office.

Rita Skeeter was the boss of the Daily Prophet, the most-read magazine in the UK. Teddy personally didn't like her because she was too much of a meddler in other people's businesses and gossiping all the time, but he liked his job, and he didn't see her often since she was the boss and he just worked for a small part.

He mostly did the opinion columns or interviews, sometimes he even wrote paragraphs about worldwide problems and crises (that's also where his interests were).

He walked into an office full of pictures of famous people, with which Rita had a photo of herself with. Everywhere were papers of articles from the Daily Prophet and notes.

"Ah, Mr. Tonks, have a seat." She waved her hand at the seat in front of her, and while Teddy was always very calm, he suddenly felt very nervous.

"Have you ever heard of the name: Lily Evans?" Of course, he had. She played the main role in one of his favourite movies: The Fallen Leaves. He used to watch that movie a lot with his grandmother, Andromeda.

"Yes, I have heard of her." He said, and Rita seemed to tense. "Well.. She had requested that you interview with her."

Teddy's eyes widened. The famous Lily Evans, the one who was a celebrity crush to most of his friends. The one who had one at least 3 Oscars, maybe even 4. Lily Evans, the woman with seven marriages.

She wanted to do an interview with him?

"Well, she wanted to talk about her charity outfits, but she requested you, so I wanted to ask" She paused real quick." No, I wanted to force you to get more."

Now Teddy knew why he felt so nervous.

"Imagine the benefit for our company when we get the story about the husband; at least one husband's story could be worth more than a million dollars worth of profit." Rita seemed like she had already imagined what it would be like.

She walked over to him and almost pointed at him. "You need to promise me you'll do everything you have. I mean, we tried to get someone harder than you, because you know you sometimes let things slide easily, but she specifically asked for you."

Again, Teddy was perplexed. "Do you know why she would want me?"

There had to be some sort of reasoning for it, right? He doesn't even work in the model section.

"No, I have no idea, but she wanted you or no one and such an offer we can't refuse, of course." Rita said we like she had no influence on what Evans or Teddy had to say.

"You will do it right?" Rita said, eyebrow raised. He knew that it would most likely cost him his job if he said no, and like Rita said, such an offer he can't refuse.

"Yes, of course I will." He said thousands of questions were still lingering in his head, even when he got on the tube to his home.

He had a small apartment on the outskirts of London. Boxes were still everywhere, since Victoire had moved out.

Still shocked of what had happened, he opened the fridge to get out the leftovers.

Just when he entered his tiny living room, his phone rang: Granny Andy

"Hello, Grany." He said as he put some curry with rice into his mouth.

"Hello Teds, how are you? I thought I will just check how you are doing."

He was raised by his grandparents. His mother, Nymphadora Tonks, died when he was only 6 years old, and he never knew his dad. His grandpa, Ted Tonks, from whom he got his name, died a few years ago. Since then, it's been him and Granny Andy.

"I'm doing fine, bit overwhelmed with work today." He was debating if he should tell Grandma about meeting the Lily Evans.

"Oh, hun, I'm sure you're gonna be fine, but relax, okay?" She was always so sweet and reasonable.

"Gran? You know when we used to watch the movie: The Fallen Leaves?" He bit his lip at the memory. "Well, yes, of course, that's our movie. Why?" "Well, for work I am gonna interview Lily Evans."

There was silence on the other end of the line for a while, but then Grandma said: "That's absolutely wonderful, brilliant even. You're gonna do amazing!" She sounded genuinely excited and proud, but then again, she was always proud of her Grandson.

"The only thing I can't figure out is why she specifically wanted me. She literally said that she wanted me or no one else. Isn't that strange?" Grandma just chuckled. "Perhaps she read your article about climate change and saw what a talented writer you are!" Now it was his time to laugh.

"Sure, Grandma. Anyways, I gotta go, got a lot of work to do."

"That's alright, make sure you tell Lily Evans that if she ever wants to get rid of the fabulous green dress she wears at the premiere of The Fallen Leaves, I would love to have it. Now I will love you and leave you, bye dear."

And with that she hung up and Teddy needed to get to work. That's why he spend the whole night watching Lily Evans movies, researching her only, looking up her dresses, seeing if he could find any clue of what happened with her marriages.

In the morning, he thought that he knew Lily Evans better than himself, but oh, how he wished he was correct.

Chapter 2: The lucky one

Notes:

A short chapter, but I will try and write more if I keep it short.
Also keep in mind, English isn't my first language.

Chapter Text

Teddy spents the next few days gathering even more information about Lily Evans. All the basic and proven facts as well as the rumours that go from her killing her husbands till them abusing her.

As Teddy read everything he felt like her life alone could have atleast 15 books written about only her, let alone the people who were involved with her.

He read about all the husbands divorce rumours, since there wasn’t anything proven, which his boss Rita hoped he would get the learn about.

He learned that she married the first man when she was only eighteen and they were divorced quickly. Poor man, Teddy thought, the world will only ever know him as Lily Evans firsts husband.

Later on she married a Hollywood royalty, Severus Snape, it was rumoured she left him because he beat her and called her names, but other rumours where that he’d never wanted to marry her, but she baby trapped him.

She had a very quick Vegas marriage with Barty Crouch jr, the singer, when her career had a massive boost. Altough, they divorced with the next week.

Her beautiful marriage with James Potter, which ended, because both of them were having an affair, but they remainded friends.

The most impactful, if not one of the biggest Hollywood marriages to ever exist, with Remus Lupin. Teddy liked Lupin, he was a director and very calm. He and Lily seemed to be friends throughout the years, but the friendship ended in something more. Which was one of Lily’s longest marriages and it even ended in them having a child together.

It was heartbreaking for the internet, as Teddy saw in the comments, newspapers and even on television, was rumoured to have ended, because she cheated with her old director Amos Digoory which was her next husband.

It was even rumoured that she might also had a small affair with Evan Rosier, but nothing that proved that other then fans and creeps saying stuff on the internet.

And then, her final marriage too Micheal Macdonald. A so-called simple finance man, which whom she moved to Ireland with. Micheal Macdonald was also the brother of one of Lily’s co-stars: Mary Macdonald who is another big star in the Hollywood industry.

All of these husband have passed away leaving the information on what happened only known to the Lily Evans herself.

Teddy needed to get that information, but he did not have much hope, as she never ever told anyone about it in a interview, magazine, paper or on the television. Even when the hosts talked her face seemed to be made out of innocence and beauty. She had the same almost glaring look which were very powerful with her green eyes.

Teddy stayed late till the night in the office, only getting off his chair to get some coffee, when he finally made his way back home. He needed to rest for tomorrow as it was the big day.

He read his e-mail again for the almost twentieth time in order to make sure he knew everything well and nothing could go wrong.

He packed his favourite notebook which his grandfather, who he was named after, left him before he passed as he wanted him to keep it for a special occasion, like this.

*Dear Ted Edward Tonks,*

*Lily Jane Evans wants you to meet her at the Three Broomsticks at eleven a.m for brunch on her behalf.*

*We remind you to keep this as much as a secret as you can and to only discuss it with your fellow colleages and possible family/partner. If you do not keep this private enough will need to find another location and date to set this up.*

*We will contact your boss, Rita Skeeter, and if things do not please you or there is a problem let us now,*

*Have a nice evening,*

*Charlie Weasley, Miss Evans’ assistant.*

Chapter 3: She

Chapter Text

Teddy woke up earlier than he set his alarm clock, because he was so stressed and excited about this day.

He made a simple and quick breakfast, brushed his teeth for an unusually long time and put on his most expensive cologne, while dressing neatly. He needed to show Lily that he knew fashion well, even though he wasn’t supposed to interview her about that, or at least that was the plan.

He got an e-mail from Rita Skeeter telling him to keep her updated and really try to get something. It looked like a kind email, but everyone who knew Rita Skeeter knew that she was scary when she did not get what she wanted.

He also got a text from his grandma wishing him good luck, which was way more comforting, but he bet grandma Andy in return wanted to know and learn everything.

He got outside and went to the Three Broomsticks, a nice and small breakfast and lunch place, which he went to with Victoire a lot before she broke up with him.

In the beginning, he didn’t have a lot of money to buy Victoire lunch or dinner for their date, which he always felt guilty about, so when he walked to the Three Broomsticks, he thought about the first official date they went on, which she paid for in the end.

But this was something entirely different, and Teddy couldn’t focus on Victoire and his heartbreak right now, as his future all depended on this interview.

He felt very nervous as he walked through the door, looking up, seeing that nobody was inside except a young broad man with ginger hair.

“You must be Teddy Tonks. Am I correct?” He walked to Teddy and shook his hand immediately whilst pointing towards a table closest to the bar. Teddy was still confused that nobody else was in the bar.

“I will get Miss Evans for you, she is still talking to the owner!” He said as he walked away to the back.

Teddy tried to calm his nerves, and he took a sharp breath. For a second, it helped until Lily Evans walked through the door.

She looked older than in all the pictures and movies, but she still had something magical about her. She had a kind of strawberry blonde hair with still darting green eyes. Her posture was very nice, and she still had freckles all over her face, creating a pattern over the ripples.

She had a simple, but still magnificent outfit with plain white sneakers and simple trousers with her hair down and in a small hat that fitted the blouse perfectly and with that a belt and a small handbag.

She walked over to him with such elegance, and Teddy was lost for words until she was right in front of him. He was a bit taller, and he suddenly felt very lanky and stupid compared to this woman.

“Hello, you are indeed Teddy Tonks. I recognise you from your picture. Pleasure to meet you. I’m Lily Evans, as you probably already know.” She gave him a small but genuine smile, which made Teddy a bit more comfortable.

“Likewise, I’m Teddy Lupin, and of course, I know who you are.” He said that last bit very quickly in one breath, while thinking in his head how stupid he was.

She pointed at the table, which was the only table that was decked. “What would you like to order?” She asked, although he didn’t have much of an appetite right now, it would be impolite to refuse. “A ham and cheese sandwich with tea, please.” He asked to the man who introduced himself before as Charlie.

“I would like a Caesar salad with a tea. Nice to know you're a thea person.” Lily smiled. “I’ve been a thea person my whole life. I dislike coffee very much, and I get way too hyper.” He was trying to speak clearly, but it was very difficult because Lily’s emerald eyes were staring right into him.

“Right, we shall get to business.” He gave her a small smile, which felt more like a question. “Which dress are you gonna wear?” He wanted to build up, so he asked a simple question first, and once he got her trust, he would ask about her marriage and love life.

As Teddy expected a boring answer, which he knew nothing about, already making a mental note to learn more about Lily Evans ' fashion, she stopped him with her hand. “I wanted to talk about something else, actually, and I believe I’ve falsely put you here.” She smiled with a lot of mischief.

Teddy tried to keep breathing as Lily said,” I wanted to sell my story to you.” He was stunned, and he couldn’t help but look around him to see if she was talking to somebody else, but no one was in the room, not even Charlie.

“W-why? Why me? Are you sure? What story?” He couldn’t help it. All the questions that were stuck in his head and more came out of his mouth, while Lily looked at him curiously.

“I read your article about climate change, and the writing style was so unique.” She simply said. “I knew I needed a person like that to write my story, and with that, I mean only you. Not the Daily Prophet, I would be disappointed if it ended up there. I finally wanted to talk about my career, marriages, husbands, divorces and all the other drama. She almost rolled her eyes, mentioning the paper, while further talking with a polite smile as if she hadn’t just dropped a bombshell.

“But how would it even work, what writing style, what time frame? How?” Teddy was thinking about all possible options and how he would be the first to know everything.

The question, why him? Was still repeating his mind as he didn’t seem convinced with her answer.

“We will meet up at my flat every day for me to tell you and for you to make your notes. After that, you can edit it, and when I die, which won’t take long anymore, since I’m pretty old, you can publish the book. We will split the book into all seven marriages, and I will talk about those chapters of my life and why I divorced. Along the way, you can ask me any questions, and you can do whatever you want with it as long as you don’t sell it to someone or publish it before I die. Deal?” She said it as if it was up to him.

“Deal.” He said back still bewildered at what happened and even more confused as when Rita first told him.

“Ok.” Teddy did not know where to start or which question he wanted to ask, so he just went with the one he was most curious about. “Who was the love of your life?”

As he waited for Lily to answer, and he secretly hoped it was Lupin or Potter, she waved her hand. “No, we will start at the very beginning of the story, or else it won’t work. A story takes up time and space as well as suspense, and my life is all suspense and drama. “

Teddy thought that it indeed was a good idea. “Ok, so let’s start. What was your childhood like? How did you grow up?”

Chapter 4: Poor Michael Andres

Chapter Text

My original name is Lillith Kelly. Lillith was my grandma’s name, and my mother named me after her. I grew up in Ireland, in a place near Dublin. We were raised by our mom, and by we, I mean my sister and I. I shall not say her name, since she wants to keep her privacy and a so-called normal life. If she were to be associated with me, she wouldn’t have a peaceful life, indeed. We have a two-year age difference, and she’s the only person, alongside Charlie, whom I deeply care about who is alive. Anyway, our father left us when we were only babies.

We lived in a poor household, and my sister and I even had jobs at a very young age to make sure we earned enough money. However, my mother did find education very important, so she sent us to a good nearby school whilst working 2-4 jobs a week. She wasn’t home often, but when she was, she would spend all her time with me and my sister. She was a great mum, although she couldn’t offer much.

At that age, I already wanted to be someone who had a lot of money, so much that, didn't even stress about paying the bills.

The neighbours loved us, and after school, when we didn’t have work me my sister and I went to watch TV there. They let us stay all night if our mother couldn’t make it that day.

After a while, we dreamed about being actresses and getting awards and a rich and handsome husband. We were both very delusional, but it was nice to believe in something.

That’s what mostly keeps a person going: hope.

At the age of fourteen, our mom fell ill. She couldn’t go to work, and the rent went up a lot, while her income went down. My sister and I quit school to help and pay the medical bills, but it wasn’t enough. She died within a few months, probably from exhaustion. My sister and I were sent to an orphanage since our father wasn’t in the picture. My sister fitted perfectly, working hard, learning everything and behaving like a true lady. She got married at a young age to, in my opinion, a quite boring man and had a son a few years later.

I, however, didn’t fit in. My red hair was outstanding, and I behaved badly. The only person who could calm me down was my sis, but after a while, she started neglecting me as she made new friends and her grades went up.

After my sister left the orphanage to get a job, I left too. I didn’t have much, but I did still have dreams about becoming an actress, so a day after my seventeenth birthday, I sneaked out with all the money I had saved up to go to London. A place which I saw in many movies, and I knew a lot of famous actors and actresses lived there.

It was a long and dangerous ride, but again, hope made me do it, and I never looked back. Not that anyone was looking for me either, but that did not matter. I took buses and trains to go to London, and sometimes I stole food from shops, while other times people gave me some food.

That is how I met my first husband, Michael Andres. He was a very nice guy, but way too old for a seventeen-year-old. He also had good morals, so he would never go with a seventeen-year-old. That’s why I lied.

We met at his restaurant, where I was walking down the street. He was a chef there, and a nice server requested that I have something for free. It was late at night, and I had nowhere to go.

Me and Micheal talked for a few hours, and I told him I was twenty-one. Also, keep in mind that although I was poor and my clothes weren’t the best, I was good-looking. I can easily say that about myself. I don’t need others to tell me stuff I know.

I tried to flirt as much with Michael as I could, since he was a nice guy and alright looking, and it worked; he took me to his house that night. A few days later, I moved in, and he even got me a job at the restaurant as a server.

Me and Micheal were married after a month, but I wanted to keep my name. He was fine with everything I did. Sometimes I think he knew I used him and that he was just happy he played a small part in this whole show. We never had important or deep conversations about kids or the future, no, the only thing we were was married and working in the same restaurant.

But the restaurant was not where my interest lay. I wanted to become an actress, still. So when I wasn’t working or helping at Michael's home, it was never mine because I knew I wouldn’t live there for the rest of my life, even if I didn’t become famous, I still wouldn’t have lived with Michael forever. But when I wasn’t there, I was going to the parts of London where it was rumoured that a lot of celebrities were, and at some point I found a restaurant, a small coffee shop, where a lot of actors, actresses, directors, designers and other famous people were.

I got a job at that place, and that’s where I met Remus Lupin.

I was working a lot there, sometimes even asking the regulars who knew me questions to see if they could get me a place in the industry. One day, and I remember it very clearly, a man with sandy-brown hair and a blue suit, but without a tie, walked in.

He looked very young, if you compared him to some others and also way calmer. He had two other men walking side-by-side with him, but he was in the middle and also had all the attention in the room.

“Mister Lupin, what an honour to see you here again.” The boss came out of the tent to hug him, and they went on in conversation as my eye still lingered on this man. “If you want to come far in the industry, kid, you should go talk to him. He’s got power.” An older man, who was an actor, as I learned in the last few weeks, by the name Alastor Moody, gave me that tip.

So I knew what I had to do. I almost begged the boss to let me serve Mr Lupin and his men, and after a lot of pleading, he gave in. My clothes were server clothes, so the only thing I could do was put them tighter, which I still did.

“Beauty is the thing that will get you further”, people always say.

I went over to their table, and the other men clearly were ogling me. The hunger in their eyes or the immediately cool, nonchalant person they put up, but Mister Lupin did none of that. He looked at me with friendly eyes and a somewhat fake, but still genuine smile.

“What would you like to order?” I said it in my nicest and innocent voice ever, which got me very far already with both Michael and the boss here. The other men were falling for the whole, poor, innocent act, but I could see Lupin having an amused smile.

“Three coffees and three apple pies, please.” He said with a knowing look, and I gave him a smile that imitated his smile, earning another amused look. Again, he couldn’t be much older than me, so it felt like a mutual understanding of how they live and make it in this world.

Chapter 5: Hope is a dangerous thing

Chapter Text

After that, Remus Lupin came to the restaurant more often, and with more I mean twice every month.

He came in order the same thing every month and after a few months I knew his order on the top of my head. He still gave me amusing smiles and sometimes we even had small conversations, but nothing about the hollywood industry.

After five months I had enough. When he came in with a easy grin and a perfectly neat suit. He looked as he stepped out of a film with his hair a bit messy and his eyes sparkeling. He seat down at his usewhole table and started reading the newspaper, but his eyes flashed to all the people sitting there as if he were to secretly observe them.

I brought him his coffee and pie and instead of walking away, which I normall did, I seat on the opposite side of him.

He had his same amused grin as he put down his newspaper. “Can I do anything for you?” He said it as if he expected what I was going to say. “Actually, yes, Mr. Lupin.” I tried to say in a confident voice, because that seemed most fitting.

I was actually pretty nervous. I knew this would either be my downfall or my accomplishment, not that I showed that to Lupin, but I’m pretty sure he knew it himself too.

“I want to ask if you have a role for me possibly or a tip for this industry.” My calmness took over as we locked eyes. He looked too kind to take the amusement out of this.

“You know, I’ve thought that you were gonna ask me the first day I walked in, but apperently it took a bit longer. Many people want something from me, you see, but not everyone can get something.”

I thought that this was it, to be honest. His voice with concern and thoughtfulness.

“It’s a difficult and dangerous industry, but I can see that you are determined to find a place. I do have some question for you miss…”

“Evans.” I said without thinking. That wasn’t my name, it wasn’t even Micheal’s last name, but somehow it felt right, Lily Evans. If I wanted to make it in this world I needed a good name, a name that created a picture, a name people would not forget so easily and that was Lily Evans.

“Well Miss Evans, how old are you?” And again, I lied I couldn’t say I just turned eighteen. I already lied to Micheal about that, so I just said simply without creating a crack in my face “I’m twenty.”

I searched Lupin his face to see if he believed me and I’m still not sure till this day if he actually did, but it was good enough.

“It’s a violent and spoiled industry, so I must warn you that only if you are a hundred percent sure.” He again said in a concerned voice.

“I’m a thousand percent sure, if I atleast get a good role.” That created another amused smile on his face.

“May I asked why? Miss Evans, why do you want to be in this industry so badly? You have seen the gossip papers, once you are far enough, and trust me with that hair and if your acting skills are as good as you’re determination and flirting, you will come far. You must learn that everything you will do have consequences for not only you, but also people surrounding you.”

“It was always my dream.” That’s the first honest anwser I have giving him, I say in my head.

His anwser was immediately and almost defensive. “Dreams turn into nightmares very quickly.”

I nodded. “When you think you have faced all nightmares in the world already and have nothing left there’s not much to lose.” My mother’s face being hopelessly sick popped in my head, but it was quickly replaced by my sister scolding me for behaving badly as well as the ogling eyes of men when I walk past them.

It caused me to straighten up and my nerves were gone. Mr. Lupin said I had potential if I wanted to and I damn well wanted to, as I said I had nothing to lose and I looked at Mr. Lupin and somehow he understood and nodded, his normally amused smile was replaced by something else as he raised his glass. “To you Miss Evans, if you give me your email adress I will sent you a role you could possibly play.”

He drank his coffee in one go and left his half eaten pie as he stood up with his jacket left money, more then he usually waved and walked out the door waving at the boss.

I smiled to myself, this, this would be the start.

Chapter 6: f#cked my way to the top

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

I gave him Micheal’s email, since we shared a computer and that was the only device we had, so I checked almost every chance I had to look for the mail.

I told Micheal, his face showing dissapoitment, and at first I thought he would be angry at me for it. He wasn’t, he just said that if I was happy by acting I should do it.

His smile said enough, we both knew that if I became an actress we couldn’t stay together for long. A part of me thought he’d already knew we wouldn’t last, but I still think he hoped for it.

After a few days I got an email from Mr. Lupin saying he got me a small part in The Ocean’s rising about a woman called Martha, who was played by Alice Fortescue, an actress I have a lot of respect for. In the movie Martha would be saving people from the beach.

She would have a whole love story on the beach, which tragedies of deaths, grief but also friendship played a big theme.

I had a very small role, not even a person who was saved, I just needed to walk in the background with one line towards the love interest, who’s name was Andre, played by Frank Longbottom. It was something small, but I looked forward to it.

---

The first day I had walked on set, it felt magical.

The vibe and the people all working together on something so beautiful.

The cameramen working to get the right angle and position, while directors are still discussing with the actors, costume designers putting on clothes.

I remember sitting in the make-up chair and the woman said to me:” You almost don’t need make-up. It’s like you need to be here with that beauty.” Of course, she still put on some stuff to highlight my best features and she hid away some of my freckles.

They put me in a yellow sundress and did my hair up. Looking back at it now, I would’ve complained about most things, but at that moment I felt like a puppet being dragged around and obeying everything or else it would be thrown away.

I had practice my line a thousand times over at home till late at night, sometimes Micheal would walk into the living room and seeing me walking around rehearsing and rehearsing.

That was probably the only time he saw the real me.

Back at the studios I watched others actrices and actors do their scenes and while most of them were indeed good, none of them actually were their role and that day I learned the most important part of acting.

For you to be your character, you got to feel your character and if you can’t feel it atleast know your character.

I decided I would deliver my line differently and while I rehearsed a million times I knew how to do it, so when it was my turn I nailed it. I got a pleased smile for Alice Fortsescue which boosted my confidence and most importantly I felt seen, not only by the camera but by the people.

After the scene I stayed for a while longer. I walked around the set looking at big posters, crew working hard, people either doing a choreography or dramatic acting. It felt like living in a whole new world where their was no time to sit still especially for people who wanted to become a star.

Right then and there I saw an audition poster for a role called Caroline in the film *Love isn’t all* I thought it would fit me perfectly. Caroline wanted to chase her dreams, just like me and she was the daughter of Eric, whom was played my Flitwick, a very famous actor. I saw under the poster that it would be directed by Remus Lupin and that’s when I did another big move, which most people should’ve and definitely wouldn’t do if they had a brain.

But I was eighteen and desperate.

I knocked on Mr. Lupin’s door, patiently waiting outside, still wearing my yellow sundress. It took a while for someone to open the door and I was met with a familiar face.

Lupin was, again, wearing a nice suit, this time a more brown colour that almost matched his eyes. “Lily, what can I do for you?” He said with a pleasing smile.

He was standing in the middle of the door, so I couldn’t go in. “I need to talk to you.” And I walked passed him going into his office. I heard him sigh behind me but he closed the door and pointed at a chair for me to sit down.

“I want to play Caroline in your new film.” I said with my chin high as if I had the high ground, which I obviously did not. “You’re not the right type.” He said simply at which I frowned.

“What is that supposed to mean?” Trying to sound offened. “You’re Irish. Flitwick is English, so his daughter needs to have an English accent and while less freckles and red hair.”

Now, I was actually offened. Never did I think that my Irish roots would be a problem, but here I was. “Then give me another role, and a bigger role than the one I just had, which I did splendid if I may say so myself.”

I had a pretty big mouth on my and I was lucky Remus was a kind man or else I would’ve have been put on the streets, but instead of yelling or throwning me out he laughed. “You’re bold.”

There was a knock on the door and an assistant, probably, opened the door. “Mister Lupin, you are expected on set.” Remus looked at his watch and started to leave.

“Think about it, I can be better, the best even, but you’re wasting it on small roles. See a future.” And Remus smiled amused and left.

I felt like a lost the war, but I did not want to lose, so I did the next best thing I could do. I sneaked into the dressing room finding a nice dress that fitted perfectly and walked over to the directors room.

Gidoen Prewett was sitting their laughing. He was also Irish, so he did not have any opportunity to turn me down, because of that reason. I seated a few chairs behind him with my dress tight and my hair flowing. Just when Gideon was about to stand up I dropped one of my cards, which I went to pick up.

I could sense his gaze on my and before I could pick it up he helped. “Are you alright Miss?”

“Oh yeah, I’m sorry Mr Prewett I didn’t mean to bother you.” I smiled a bit flirty, but luckily he fell for it. “Nonsense, and call me Gideon. I haven’t seen you around before have I?” I nodded and soon enough we exchanged numbers and I got a knew role.
