So.....
This work is so long. It's not very well written because I was much younger when I started this. It was almost a decade ago - - How could that even be possible?
I had great plans for this work but I don't really have any desire to continue it. But I wanted to at least give the rough outline of what I had planned to happen for anybody who comes across this fic in the future. It just feels right to put this fic to bed.
After the current chapter, It would have been revealed that the Lovegoods had been captured by death eaters, along with Ginny. Cam and Ron have a fight, but make up.
Later on, Cam tries to visit Tristan, but the hospital has no record of him. He feels that Maya and Devon have been lying to him and go to confront them. They knock him out and Cam wakes up to see that he's been kidnapped. The real Maya and Tristan are tied up beside him. The fake Maya was Bellatrix Lestrange--Maya's strange behavior in the chapter where she meets Ron was due to Bellatrix not quite knowing Maya well enough to copy her. Devon is Draco Malfoy. They had to get rid of Tristan because the enchantment was wearing off during the Truth or Dare chapter and Tristan wouldn't let it go.
Cam somehow breaks free, but it turns out that both Ron and Hermione have been captured as well. They are in a safe house for death eaters in Canada and Voldemort is just about to get there. Cam knocks out Draco and steals his wand, although that's not much of used to him. He manages to find Ron and Hermione. A death eater snakes up behind him, but Cam somehow manages to use the wand. Right there is a plot point I was going to stretch out to another fic, but of course that didn't happen. I tried to show this was a possibility when Cam used one of the limited spell wands when the Death eaters try to get them at Fred and George's shop.
The fic would have ended with Voldemort and followers heading to the UK with Harry, Ginny, and Luna in tow. The second fic would have followed the adventures to rescue them.
Other odds and ends:
I was going to include Weasleycest, as shown by the box they drop labeled date night. I didn't include it for a reason I don't know.
There was going to be a confrontation between Ron and his family. It wasn't going to be a happy one--It's my own personal reading of Mrs Weasley that she would never accept a gay or bi son. So Ron would choose to stay with found family.
The was probably going to be a giant smut scene between Ron, Cam, Dallas, Viktor, Drew, Zig, Percy, and Stan. It never happened, and maybe the world was never ready for it 🤣
Either way, I want to thank anybody who has left a comment or a kudos on this fic! That meant a lot to me then when I started writing, and it means a lot to me now. This has shown how much I've grown with my writing--and how much I've grown as a person. I reread this and was struck by nostalgia from that time period. It was a nice walk down memory lane, and I wanted to give it at least if something for an ending.
