Chapter 4: Extra: Bats on Fire

Summary:

A New Batman meets a girl who might just represent the next evolution of crime fighting.

Chapter Text

“I hear you’re Batman.” Terry McGinnis appeared behind the girl known as Nagi Kirima. She was currently wearing an armoured suit not too different from a bat suit but without the bat insignia or even a mask. On her leg was a stun baton that must have been custom made since the computer couldn’t identify it.

“Those girls at school are spreading rumours again huh? I’m not into bats. Before you showed up they said I was into fire.” Nagi turned around.

“Copycat killers lack imagination what about you copycat vigilante? It’s a bit of a charade that you call yourself Batman.” She continued.

“Says the rich girl in body armour wandering the streets at night. You must know a lot about charades.”

“Oh me? I’ve just got a messiah complex. It takes someone whose not normal to deal with the darkness.” Nagi said completely seriously.

He called it a charade when he had wanted her to go home, but he had been in class with Nagi Kirima and he’d never seen her crack a joke to even smile ever. In fact she was a lot more like Bruce Wayne than he was.

The daughter of a murdered author who had written a number of best sellers as well as a known karate expert she had the means and the motive to fight crime. It would be stupid to tell her to give up and mean it. He’d just have to accept that they’d be meeting again probably a good many times.

“Well then Miss Fire Witch I’ll be seeing you around. Try to keep up.”
