Chapter 1: Prolgue

Chapter Text

The rain poured down on the middle school courtyard, drumming against the pavement. Y/N, 12 years old, stood under the roof of the school building, watching as Suga, also 12, jumped on puddles, getting soaked.

His eyes sparkled with joy, and his laughter echoed through the courtyard. Y/N couldn't help but smile as she watched him, feeling a warmth in her chest.

Suddenly, Suga noticed Y/N standing there and ran towards her, shaking the rain off his hair. "Hey, why aren't you joining me?" he asked, grinning. Y/N shrugged, feeling a little shy. But Suga's pulled her out in the rain. Together, they twirled and splashed in the puddles, their laughter and shouts mingling with the sound of the rain.

As they played, Y/N felt a sense of freedom and happiness she'd never experienced before. And as she looked at Suga, she knew that this was someone special. I mean of course no? They've been friends since elementary, so it's only natural.

The bell soon rang, signaling they had to go back to class . As they stood there, dripping wet and grinning at each other, they knew they would get in trouble when they got home but it was very worth it.

School eventually came to an end. The rain still pouring like no tomorrow, but that didnt stop either of them to walk home, luckily they both brought an umbrella.  As they're walking, Suga notices that the Y/N's umbrella is struggling to stay open. Without thinking, he grabs her hand, pulls her under his umbrella and puts his arm around her by the waist keeping her close, shielding her from the rain.

She looks up at him, surprised by the gesture. Suga's face is inches from hers, and for a moment, they just stare at each other.  Feeling a flutter in her chest, and Suga's eyes soften, showing a hint of vulnerability. As they continue walking, Suga doesn't let go. They walk in comfortable silence, the only sound being the raindrops hitting the umbrella.

As they turn the corner onto Y/N's street, the rain shows no signs of letting up. Suga's arm remains wrapped around her waist, holding her close. Y/N feels a sense of safety and warmth in his embrace. As they approach her house, Suga slows down, his eyes locked on hers. As they stand under the awning, Suga turns to face her, his eyes searching hers.

"Thanks for walking with me," Suga says, his voice barely above a whisper.

Y/N smiles, her heart fluttering. "No problem," she replies, her voice equally soft.

Suga's gaze lingers on hers for a moment, he smiles and says, "I'll see you tomorrow."

•Highschool•

Y/N stood outside the school library, nervously fidgeting with her notes. She had agreed to meet Hinata and Kageyama here for their first tutoring session.

As she waited, Hinata burst out of the library, a huge grin on his face. "Y/N! Thanks so much for doing this! I really need to improve my English."

Y/N smiled, feeling a bit more at ease. " I'm very aware." Just then, Kageyama emerged from the hallway. "Let's get this over with," he muttered.

As they sat down at a table, Y/N began to explain the lesson plan.

Y/N's patience was wearing thin. "Kageyama, if youre gonna fail if you dont pay attention"

Kageyama answers  "I dont need to know no english!"

Y/N sighed and handed Kageyama a simple English textbook. "Okay, let's start with something easy. Can you read this paragraph for me?"

Kageyama scowled, but began to read.
"um one fiss-uhh, thuow fiss-uhh..."
However, it quickly became apparent that he was struggling.

Y/N tried to stifle a laugh. "...Are you serious?"

Kageyama's eyes furrow in frustration "You picked a hard one on purpose!" Y/N raised an eyebrow. "It's a Dr. Seuss book, you fucking dipshit!."

"No wonder Tsukishima didn't want to tutor you anymore. You guys are HOPELESS" she added.

"Like you can do any better" Kageyama said being sassy.

"Well im not the one failing my english exams am I?" She says starring daggers at him.

Kageyama just looks away with a pout.

Hinata chuckles "Jeez kageyama, you sure are hopeless"

"Shut up dumbass, you cant even reach the double digits in your own exams" Kageyama says to him.

"Can you guys pay attention" Y/n says sighing in defeat knowing tutoring them will take a while.

The sun started to set so Y/N packed up her things, exhausted from the tutoring session. "Alright, that's it for today. I expect you both to practice your reading and grammar over the weekend."

Kageyama groaned, slumping over his desk. "Do we have to?"

Y/N raised an eyebrow. "You want to pass your English exams, don't you?"

Kageyama muttered under his breath, but Hinata nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, Y/N-san! " Y/N smiled, feeling a small sense of accomplishment. "Good. I'll hand you guys my notes if you want. I'll see you both later."

"Woah, her notes are pretty neat" Kageyama commented looking at the notes Y/n had handed to Hinata.

As she walked out of the library, she collided with someone. Apologetic, she looked up to see Suga standing in front of her.

"Hey, sorry about that," Y/N said, brushing off her bag.

Suga smiled,"No worries. How was tutoring?"

Y/N shrugged. "The usual."

Suga chuckled. "Yeah, I can imagine."

Y/N smiled, "They suck at reading"

As Y/N and Suga continue walking making their to the gated, Kageyama and Hinata catch up to them, still bickering about their English homework.

"I'm telling you, Hinata, I'm going to ace that test," Kageyama says confidently, Hinata rolls his eyes. "No way, Kageyama. You're going to fail miserably."

Y/N and Suga exchange an unamused glance. "Can you guys like fight somewhere else?" Y/N says, intervening.

"How are you holding up?" Suga whispered softly loud enough for only Y/n to hear.

"I don't know. Im not sad but im
not exactly happy either" She says truthfully. She didn't want to admit but she wasn't actually holding it up very well today.

•A week earlier • a flashback•

Y/N's fingers hovered over her phone's keyboard as she sent a text to Matsukawa.

" where are you?"   She hesitated for a moment before sending the message. Maybe he got lost right?

Y/n scans the crowded school festival, her eyes searching for him. On her walk of searching for him, she spots Kindaichi sitting at a table  on hhis phone and approaches him asking if hes seen Matsukawa anywhere. Kindaichi  mentions that he seemed to be headed by the football field and volunteered to walk with her since he had nothing else to do.

As they approach the back of the stands, the sounds of the festival fade into the background, replaced by muffled moans. Y/n's eyes widen in shock. She grabbed Kindaichi's sleeve, her grip tighten. "wait" she whispered, her voice barely audible. Kindaichi looked at her a bit confused, but y/n's gazed was fixed on who the groans were coming from. without a second thought, she turned the corner, grabbed the back of his collar, yanking him away rom the other person and slaps him hard enough to leave a black eye for a while.

Matsukawa stumbles back, his eyes wide in realization. "Are you fucking kidding? You invited me just to makeout with some other bitch?" He was speechless, there nothing to say. With that she walks away to cool herself and probably cry after what just happened.

•End of flashback•

Suga's expression turns sympathetic, "Yeah, I can imagine." Y/N's eyes meet Suga's, and she gives him a small, grateful smile, Suga smiles back.

The two of them fall into step beside Kageyama and Hinata, who are still bickering. The group walk together, enjoying the cold evening and each other's company.

The group eventually split up after leaving the schools grounds.

As they walked home, Suga turned to Y/N with a mischievous glint in his eye. "Hey, are you down to do it tonight?" he asked, his voice low and conspiratorial.

Y/N's heart skipped a beat as she smiled. "Of course," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

Suga grinned, "I'll pick you up at around 1 am, so be ready."

Suga dropped her off, and Y/N went through the motions of getting 'ready for bed' , Like the usual: doing homework, eating and taking a shower. But instead of sleeping, she layed awake, her eyes fixed on the clock as the hours ticked by.

Chapter 3: II

Chapter Text

Suga dropped her off, and Y/N went through the motions of getting ready for bed, Like the usualy: doing homework, eating and taking a shower. But instead of sleeping, she layed awake, her eyes fixed on the clock as the minutes ticked by.

At 1 am sharp, her phone buzzed with a text from Suga. "I'm hereee ;)"

Y/N threw off the covers and crept to the window. She pushed it open, and a cool breeze swept in. As she looked down, she saw Suga waiting for her, his eyes gleaming in the dark. Y/N smiled, feeling a rush of excitement, and carefully climbed out the window.

They made their way through the quiet streets, their footsteps echoing off the buildings.

As they sprinted through the deserted streets, Suga suddenly pulled Y/N into a narrow alleyway.

"Lets go this way," he whispered, his eyes gleaming in the dim light. The alleyway was dark and narrow, the walls looming above them like sentinels. Suga's hand found hers, his fingers intertwining with hers as he pulled her deeper into the shadows. As they emerged from the alleyway after about 20 minutes of walking and turning in and out of alleyways, they found themselves at the edge of a bunch of trees and overgrown bushes. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves.

Suga pushed through the underbrush, his feet rustling against the dry leaves. Y/N followed close behind, her heart pounding in her chest.

As they burst through, an abandoned structure appeared in sight with cracked windows, graffiti and old vines all over. But what she didn't was that that was just the front and was a small portion of the whole thing. Y/N's eyes sparkled with excitement. " So cool!."

Suga's lips curled into a sly smile. "Told you it was worth it"

"This is so worth getting grounded for"  The abandoned place was an old, abandoned amusement park. The rickety wooden structures and rusting metal rides seem to loom over them.

It was a ghost town.

Quiet literally.

As they venture deeper, they stumble upon a hidden entrance to a network of tunnels. The air is thick with dust and the smell of decay. Suga's eyes gleam with excitement as he pulls Y/N through the tunnels. "I love this place" he whispers, "I've been exploring it for weeks."

Y/N's heart pounds in her chest as she tries to keep up with Suga. The tunnels seemed to twist and turn endlessly. As they walked deeper into the tunnel system, the silence began to feel oppressive. Suga pulled out his flashlight, casting eerie shadows on the walls, making it seem like they were being watched.

Y/N shivered, despite the thickness of her jacket. "Do you hear that?" she whispered. Suga's head cocked to the side raising an eyebrow in confusion "Hear what?"

At first, there was nothing. But then, faintly, they heard a woman's scream in the distance. It was a chilling, blood-curdling scream that sent shivers down Y/N's spine.

Suga's eyes locked onto hers. "What the fuck..." The scream faded away, leaving an oppressive silence. But then, they heard another sound - the creak of old wooden beams, followed by the faint thud of something falling on the floor.

"What was that?" Y/n whispered, scooting closer to Suga out of fear.

Suga's face was pale. "I don't know, but I think we should leave."

"Wait..." she whispered. "You don't think someone else is down here with us, right?"

Suga's eyes darted nervously around the tunnel.  "I hope not, let's go." he puts a hand on her left shoulder and started walking with her in front of him so he wouldn't loose sight of her.

As they emerged out, Y/N felt a sense of relief wash over her. Suga grinned mischievously. "That was fun!" he exclaimed.

Y/N raised an eyebrow. " You think almost dying was fun!?"

Suga chuckled. "Yeah! We should do it again sometime."

Y/N widen in shock "You're crazy."

Suga's grin widened.

As they walked through the abandoned amusement park, the old rides towering above them, Suga suddenly grabbed Y/N's arm. "Shh, quiet," he whispered, his eyes locked on something in the distance.

Y/N followed his gaze and saw a police car pulling into the park's entrance, its headlights casting an eerie glow over the deserted grounds. Suga pulled her into a nearby hiding spot, a narrow gap between two old game stalls. He put his hand over her mouth, his eyes burning with intensity. " Shhhh," he breathed with a finger to his mouth.

Y/N's heart was racing as she heard the police officer's footsteps, crunching through the gravel just a few feet away from their hiding spot.

"Dispatch, this is unit 9," the officer said into his radio. "I've got a report of trespassers at an old park. Im on the scene now"

Suga's hand tightened over her mouth, his eyes locked on hers. They were so close to getting caught.

The officer paused, his footsteps stopping just a few feet away from their hiding spot, his flashlight beaming past them. "Might have some kids messing around," he muttered to himself. "I'm going to take a look around." he said again to his radio again.

The officer's footsteps started moving again, his heavy boots crunching through the gravel. Y/N held her breath, her heart racing with anticipation.

Suga's hand remained over her mouth, his eyes locked on hers, warning her to stay quiet, to remain perfectly still.

The officer was getting closer and closer, his footsteps echoing off the old rides. Y/N could feel her heart pounding in her chest, her senses on high alert.

Suddenly, the officer stopped right next to their hiding spot. Y/N could see his shadow looming over them, his presence making her feel trapped and vulnerable.

They were so close to getting caught.

The officer paused, his head cocked to the side. Y/N held her breath, wondering if he had heard them.

But then, after what felt like an eternity, the officer moved on, his footsteps fading into the distance.

Y/N let out a sigh of relief, her heart still racing from the adrenaline. Suga's hand remained clamped over her mouth.

They waited for a few moments, listening to the officer's footsteps grow fainter. Then, slowly, Suga removed his hand from Y/N's mouth.

They exchanged a look, both of them grinning from ear to ear.

'That was close' they both thought.

They slowly emerged from their hiding spot, their eyes scanning the surrounding area for any signs of the police officer.

As they walked away from the hiding spot, Y/N's heart was still racing from the close call. She could see the police car still parked in the distance, its lights casting an eerie glow over the abandoned park.

Just as they were putting some distance between themselves and the police car, Y/N heard a faint humming noise in the distance. It was a low, throbbing sound that seemed to be getting louder by the second.

Suga's head snapped up, his eyes scanning the sky. Y/N followed his gaze, and her heart sank as she saw a helicopter looming overhead, its searchlight casting a beam of light down onto the park.

"Are you fucking kidding me?!," Y/N cussed to herself

Suga's face was set in a concentrated expression.

as if like he's done this before. "Keep moving," he whispered, grabbing Y/N's hand and pulling her along.

They quickened their pace, their feet pounding against the ground as they desperately tried to put some distance between themselves and the helicopter. The helicopter was getting closer and closer, its searchlight beam dancing across the ground just feet away from them.

Suddenly, Suga to a grasp on her hand, his eyes looking back at her "Lets go this way!" He said as he pulled into another spot. Y/N's eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness, and she realized they were hiding in an old booth. The kind you'd find at a festival or carnival, with a counter and a canopy overhead.

The booth was cramped and musty, the air thick with the scent of decay and neglect. Y/N was pressed up against Suga, her face inches from his.

As they caught their breath, Y/N heard the distant sound of the police officer's voice, calling out to someone. The helicopter's rotors had stopped, and an oppressive silence had fallen over the abandoned park.

Suga's eyes locked onto Y/N's, his expression intense. "We have to wait until they leave," he whispered.

Y/N nodded, her heart still racing from their narrow escape.

As they waited in silence, Y/N couldn't help but wonder what would happen next. Would they get caught, or would they manage to escape?

They lay there in silence, listening to the distant sound of the police officer's voice, the only sound in the oppressive silence that had fallen over the abandoned park.

As they waited, Y/N felt Suga's hand slowly wrap around her waist, his fingers splayed across her skin.

Her expression turned from scared to confused and maybe a bit concerned as she caught him grinning as if they weren't hiding from the police.

'How the hell is he so calm about this??' She thought to herself.

Suga's eyes narrowed, his voice barely above a whisper. "Y/N, get down." his hand on the back of her head, gently pressing her down.

The footsteps grew louder, and Y/N's heart sank. She was sure they were caught. Just as the footsteps reached the booth, they suddenly stopped. Y/N held her breath, waiting for the officer to peer inside.

But instead of the officer's voice, Y/N heard the sound of a radio crackling. The officer's voice was distant, responding to a call from dispatch. Suga's arm relaxed, and he let out a slow breath. Y/N looked up at him, her eyes questioning.

Suga's face was inches from hers, his eyes locked on hers. He mouthed a single word: "Wait."

Y/N nodded, her heart still racing. They lay there in silence, waiting for the officer to leave.

As they waited, Y/N felt Suga's hand slowly stroke her hair, his touch soothing. She closed her eyes, feeling a sense of safety wash over her.

Finally, the officer's footsteps faded into the distance. Suga's arm tightened around Y/N, and he whispered, "Let's go."

“Ah! just as I suspected”

Shit

Shit

As they stood there, frozen in the darkness, the officer's flashlight landed on Y/N's face.

"What are you two doing out here?" he asked gruffly. Y/N swallowed hard, trying to think of an excuse. Suga, however, remained calm, his eyes fixed on the officer.

"We were just... taking a walk," Suga said, his voice smooth.

The officer raised an eyebrow. "A walk? In an abandoned park? At night?" Y/N felt a surge of anxiety.

They were caught red-handed. Suga, however, seemed unfazed. He smiled, his eyes glinting in the dark. "We didn't realize it was closed," he said.

The officer looked uncertain "you didn't realize it was closed? there's a big ass sign out there that says its private property"

Suga replied, "It's dark sir, we didn't see it."

The officer wasn't buying it as he was just looking at us as he shines his flashlight.

"yeah sure. You two are coming with me"

"yes sir" they both say in defeat.

The officer walked towards them, "Sorry for this but I'm just doing my job." he said as the officer led them away in handcuffs, Suga and Y/N exchanged a nervous glance.

It was certainly an interesting night.

The officer's voice cut through the silence. "You know, I've seen plenty of couples trying to sneak around at night. You two aren't the first, and you won't be the last, unfortunately." Y/n eyes flashed with protest, but Suga just looked down, his face flushing.

As the office drove them to police station, where they were forced to sit for hours until someone would come to pick them up, aka their parents, but it was in the middle of the night so they had to wait until sunrise.

After a few contanct information shared to officer for who could pick us up, his phone rang and someone picked up.

"Okay (inaudible talking)" is all that was heard from the other side.

It was Suga's mom from what it seemed. The officer signaled him to talk on the phone.

he hesitated before speaking up. "H- hello?"

"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS?! THE HELL DID YOU DO THIS TIME?" His mom was pissed. Of all the years Y/n knew her, she has never heard her this mad and it was scary.

"Mom wai- Wait this time??" He attempted to calm his mom down but was caught up as she said 'this time' as if it's a common occurrence . (could be).

A deep breath is heard on her side, attempting to calm down. "Koshi, please tell me Y/N isn't with you..." She says with a bit of a laugh as she questions him but because shes trying not to loose her shit.

" um..." Suga .

Y/N was to be honest, scared of her own mom's future reaction and the possibilities and consequences that waits her, but is currently scared shitless at Sugas mom, and for Suga.

Meanwhile, as this was playing out. The officer was eating something, his back facing the 2 high schoolers silently and secretly enjoying the scene his hearing.

"I love my job" he whispers to himself giggling as he takes another bite of what seemed to be Krispy kreme donuts.

Suga hung up the phone, his face pale. "My mom is coming," he said. Y/N's eyes widened in alarm. "Oh okay..."

The waiting area fell silent as they waited for Suga's mom to arrive. The tension was palpable, and Y/N could feel Suga's anxiety radiating off him.

When Suga's mom arrived, she was furious

. "Suga" she thundered, her eyes blazing with anger and disappointment. Suga hung his head, his eyes downcast. "sorry."

Her voice remained firm. "We'll talk about this at home."

Suga's mom turned to Y/N, her eyes narrowing slightly. "And you, Y/N-... I- I'm not surprised to see you here ."Y/N felt a flush rise to her cheeks as Suga's mom's gaze pierced through her.

She had known Suga's mom since she was in like elementary school, and she knew that she didn't tolerate any bullshit. "I'm sorry, It was my fault. I convinced him to sneak out with me."Suga's mom raised an eyebrow.

"Is that so? Well, we'll be discussing this further at home. You're both in trouble regardless" The tension in the room was a bit, and Y/N could feel Suga's anxiety radiating off him. She knew that they were both in for a long lecture when they got home.

The drive home was silent, the only sound being the hum of the engine and the occasional passing car. Suga's mom's anger was palpable, and both Suga and Y/N knew better than to try to break the silence.

"I am extremely disappointed in both of you," she said, her voice low and even. "Sneaking out, getting caught by the police... this is not the behavior I expect from either of you. Next time run for it!" she says.

"What?!" Both Suga and Y/N exlcaim in confusion.

"You heard me. Or pick a better hidding spot next time" She says as she starts to eat grapes.

Y/n was taken aback at her response, "so... you're not mad at us?"

"Oh I am and you are still in trouble for sneaking out. As for your consequences," she continued, "Koshi, you are grounded for a month. No phone and no leaving the house except for school." Suga's eyes widened in shock.

"And as for you, Y/N-chan," Suga's mom turned to her, "I'm afraid I'll have to call your mom and let them know what happened"

Y/N's face fell, she only wonders what her parents will say.

The next two days passed quickly, with Suga and Y/N focusing on their schoolwork and preparing for their upcoming exams to go to the training camp in Tokyo.

•A day before the trip•

Hinata and Kageyama approached, their heads hung low in unison. "Y/n, Yachi-san...we have some bad news," Hinata said, his voice laced with disappointment.

Yachi and I exchanged confused glances. They handed us their exam papers, their hands shaking slightly.

Tsukishima strolled by behind them, a smirk on his face. "You guys are idiots."

The exam scores read: 39/100 and 43/100

I couldn't help but erupt in shock. "You guys had not one, not two, but THREE people tutoring you, and you still managed to fail!?"

Yachi, beside me, burst into tears, "all my hard work..." I shot Hinata and Kageyama a scolding glance. "You guys made her cry!"

Hinata looked down, remorseful. "We're sorry!"

Tsukishima chimed in, his smirk growing wider. "Looks like the duo isn't going to Tokyo after all."

Yamaguchi piped up, "Actually I heard they can retake it, but they need to score a 90...after harassing the vice principal for it."

I giggled, remembering the time the vice principal's toupee landed on Daichi's head. "I wish I could've seen that."

-Later that night-

(im too lazy to write the rest of the day)

It's the night they left for Tokyo. Y/N and Suga are on the bus with the team, heading to Tokyo. As the team starts to settle in, Suga is sitting next to Y/n scrolling through his phone.

Y/n looks over at him a bit confused, "Aren't you like... grounded?"

"ummm, I- I have a second my mom doesn't about..." he admitted hesitantly.

Y/n chuckled, "I brought mine too"

As the bus ride continues, the excitement and chatter start to die down. Some team members begin to nod off, lulled by the hum of the engine and the gentle rocking motion of the bus.  Y/N starts to feel her eyelids getting heavy, and she leans against the window, gazing out at the passing scenery. Suga, sitting next to her, notices her starting to drift off and smiles softly.

As Y/N's eyelids grow heavier, Suga gently reaches out and guides her head onto his shoulder. Y/N doesn't even flinch, already fast asleep.  Suga smiles to himself, feeling a sense of comfort with Y/N's head resting on his shoulder. The other team members, who are still awake, glance over at the pair and smile and since Asahi and Daichi sit on the seats to the right of them, they decide to snap them a picture for later and start snickering.

As the bus drives on, the sound of gentle snores and soft murmurs fills the air. The team is relaxed, and the tension in the bus dissipates.

After a few hours of driving, the bus pulls into a rest stop near a highway service area. The team stretches their arms and legs, relieved to be getting off the bus for a bit.

"Alright, everyone! We've got a 15-minute break," Coach Ukai announces over the bus's PA system.

"Grab a snack, use the restroom, and stretch your legs. We'll be back on the road soon!" The team pours out of the bus, chatting and laughing as they make their way to the rest stop's facilities. Y/N, still a bit sleepy, stretches her arms and yawns. As Y/n and Suga step out the bus, they notice a small convenience store and a few vending machines here and there.

"Hey, there's a ramune machine" y/n pointed, Tanaka and Nishinoya hear this and excitedly rush the machine. Suga walks over to them and leans in close to them with a mischievous glint in his eye. "Psst," he whispers, "I bet you guys 1526 yen that you can't chug those Ramune in under 10 seconds."

From Author: 1526 yen is $10 in U.S currency.

Tanaka and Nishinoya exchange a confident glance. "Hey, we can do it! We've been practicing our chugging skills," Tanaka says, grinning.

Tsukishima walks up to them, a smirk on his face. "Oh, great, you two think you can chug a Ramune in under 10 seconds? Please, be my guest." he raises an eyebrow. " wait- Practicing your chugging skills!?"Suga, who's been watching the exchange, chuckles and chimes in. "Hey, hey, Tsukishima, don't discourage them. I've got a bet going on – 1526 yen says they can't do it."

Tsukishima snorts. "You're on. I'll take that bet. There's no way these two can chug a Ramune that fast."

Meanwhile, Daichi is eyeing them from afar knowing that Suga joining the 2nd years means more chaos sometimes, but he trusts him.

As the team prepares to get back on the bus, Daichi calls out, "Alright, let's get moving! We've got a long day ahead of us."

Suga's grin falters for a moment, and he looks at Daichi with a hint of mock offense. "Aww, come on."

Daichi raises an eyebrow. "Suga, you know as well as I do that your idea of 'fun' is encouraging the 2nd years into more chaos"

As the team gets back on the bus, Suga takes his seat, still grinning mischievously. He leans over to Tanaka and Nishinoya, who are sitting behind from him, and whispers, "Hey, you two owe me 500 yen. Don't think you can get out of paying just because Daichi's next to me." and sticks his tongue out at them.

"B-but Im broke!" Nishinoya cries in defeat while Tanaka has his head down. Suga just laughs at their reaction.

His grin falters for a moment, and he looks at Tsukishima, who's sitting a few rows ahead, looking smug. "Fine, fine. Tsukishima was right. But only this once."

The trio start to snicker and laugh as the convo continue and eyeing the captain every fee rimss, and Daichi looks over, a hint of a smile and confusion on his face. "What are yall whispering over there?"

Suga quickly pipes up, "none of your BUSINESS!" in a sassy but an obviously joking way.

Daichi raises an eyebrow but lets it drop, knowing that Suga's antics are just a normal part of team life while Nishinoya and Tanaka just sit there in surprise knowing if they said that to the captain, they'd get extra conditioning.

As the bus continues on its journey, the team settles in for a relaxing ride and eventually goes quiet as some fall asleep and others are listening to music. Or both. who cares.

But eventually after 5 HOURS on the road, they arrive at the training camp facilities, eager to start their intense training and become better individually and as a team. Daichi gathers everyone together to explain the schedule for the day and the rules during their stay.

"Alright, listen up! Today's training will focus on endurance and agility, I'm unsure what the other coaches have planned but we'll most likely be doing a series of drills and exercises to get us in top shape as it is the first day and after lunch, we'll have a few friendly matches to test our skills." The team nods and begins their training.

As the teams begin their training, Y/n, kiyoko and Yachi get to work with the rest of the managers doing what ever managers do and watch as all the guys do drills while also taking notes, refilling water bottles and taping players here and there whether its their shoulder(blade) or knee.

After 2 hours of conditioning and some practice matches with other teams they finish!

And guess what?

Hinata and Kageyama made it! With Saeko's help giving them a ride. All thanks to Tanaka as well! we love a good upperclassman who looked out for his first years! ANYWAYSSS BACK TO THE STORY ( i was too lazy to write alldat so im sorry, this is the best ill do)-author

"Alright guys" Daichi says, grinning. "Let's get some rest and do it all again tomorrow." A few groans were heard from the team out of soreness.

The sun begins to set and the team heads back to their dorms, tired but content. And as the night falls, the dorms grew quiet, with everyone asleep or winding down. But Y/n and Suga have other plans...

They both secretly agreed to sneak out of the dorms wanting to explore the place at night and trying not to make a sound as they made their way out of the building.

"So which are we going?" Y/n whisper to Suga, who just grins mischievously. "No idea! but thats the fun out of it" he says, leading both deeper into the darkness.

"Okay, but if we get caught, I'm blaming you!"

Suga grins and leads them out of the dorms, into the quiet night. They both walk across the training camp grounds, the only sound being the crunch of gravel beneath their feet.

As they walk, the trees grow thicker, and the air grows cooler. All they can hear as they walk is the sound of frogs and crickets

Suddenly, they emerge from the trees and find themselves standing at the edge of a pond. The water is calm and peaceful, reflecting the starry sky above.

Suga lets out a soft whistle. "thats nice"

They both sit down at the water's edge, taking in the tranquility of the surroundings. As she looks around, she notices a few frogs perched on a rock, their eyes blinking lazily in the dark.

One of the frogs lets out a soft croak, and Suga chuckles. "I guess we're not alone here"

Y/n smiles, feeling a sense of peace wash over her. This is exactly what you needed – a break from the intensity of the training camp, and some quality time with Suga.

As you sit there, Suga breaks the silence, his voice low and thoughtful. "Hey, Y/N, can I ask you something?"

You nod, curious. "What's up?"

Suga's eyes gaze out across the pond, his expression introspective. "Well, have you ever thought to yourself if your in the wrong-"

You take a deep breath, choosing your words carefully. "Im cut you off right there. I know you gave up your spot as setter to Kageyama... and I just wanted to say that I think that took a lot of courage. But just because you feel like you're not getting any better doesn't mean you're in the wrong sport. Trust me, you're doing really well!"

Suga's eyes drop, and he looks away, his voice barely above a whisper. "It's not courage, Y/N. It's just what's best for the team."

You nod, understanding. "I know that's what you told Coach Ukai, but it's still not easy to do, especially in your last year. You've been an amazing setter for this team, and it's okay to feel a little sad about giving that up."

Suga looks at you, his eyes searching. For a moment, you see a glimmer of the emotions he's been hiding. Then, he nods, a small smile on his face.

"Thanks, Y/N. Just knowing that you understand... it means a lot."

You smile back, feeling a sense of connection with Suga. "Youre easy to read and plus, we're a team! We support each other, no matter what."

The two of you sit there in comfortable silence for a moment, watching the stars twinkle above. But eventually the silence was filled with one of you humming to (Your favorite song) and you both start humming it together.

Suddenly, Suga's stomach growls, breaking the silence. He chuckles, looking a bit embarrassed. "I Might be I'm hungry. Want to sneak back and find some snacks?" You laugh, nodding. "BET"

As you and Suga are sneaking back to the dorms, you hear a noise coming from the kitchen. You both freeze, wondering if you've been caught.

But then, you hear a faint rustling sound, followed by a muffled curse. You exchange a curious glance with Suga, and you both creep towards the kitchen to investigate.

As you enter the kitchen, you're surprised to see Ennoshita rummaging through the fridge, his eyes shining with a mischievous glint.

"Hey!" Suga exclaims, trying to stifle a laugh.

Ennoshita startles, nearly knocking over a jar of jam as he spins around to face you. "Oh, uh, hi guys! Just, uh, looking for a midnight snack..."

You raise an eyebrow, amused. "At 2 am? Really?"

Ennoshita grins sheepishly. "I got hungry- wait Never mind that. What's with you two? Why are you still in your normal clothes? its like almost 3am"

He raises an eyebrow, eyeing you and Suga's attire. "You're not exactly dressed for a midnight stroll, are you?"

Suga and you exchange a sheepish glance and pretend he's crazy. You dramatically roll your eyes and a pudding cup from Ennoshita's hands. "God forbid I get a snack"

Suga chuckles and shakes his head, "Dude, calm down. We're just getting some food."

You proceed to peal open the pudding and take a spoonful of it, trying to appear clam despite Ennoshita's confused look. "Hey Suga, you wanna try some?"

Ennoshita's eyes widen in mock outrage. "Hey, that's MY pudding! You can't just steal my snack!"

Suga laughs and puts an arm around ennoshita "Dude, there's plenty more in the fridge you know? Sharing is caring""

Ennoshita looks up, a mischievous glint in his eye, and responds, "I don't care!"

You and Suga are still chuckling when Ennoshita shrugs and says, "What? I'm just being honest."

Suga teases him, "Come on, Ennoshita, don't be like that. Share your pudding with us."

Ennoshita pretends to be offended, "You think I'm just going to share with you two?"

You lean in close to Ennoshita, a sly smile spreading across your face. You whisper, "Come on, Chikara... don't be like that."

Ennoshita's eyes flicker to yours, a hint of surprise and curiosity in his expression. He seems taken aback by your the use of his first name. By you.

Suga looks on, oblivious to the subtle tension between you and Ennoshita. "Yeah, Ennoshita, share!" he says, chuckling.

Ennoshita's gaze lingers on yours for a moment before he looks away, a faint flush rising to his cheeks. "Fine..." he mutters.

You grin, feeling a sense of triumph at having convinced Ennoshita to share his jam. "Thanks, Ennoshita!," you say happily

Ennoshita's eyes flicker to yours again, and you can see the faintest glimmer of attraction in his expression. But then, he looks away, clearing his throat. "Yeah, no problem," he mutters.

The three of you sit down to enjoy your pudding, the atmosphere still relaxed and friendly.  Occasionally, Ennoshita would glance at you, his eyes lingering on yours for just a fraction of a second longer than usual.

As you savor the sweet and tangy flavor of the pudding, you can't help but feel grateful for these little moments with your teammates.

the night wears on and you start to feel tired. "I think I'm going to head back to my room. I'm getting a bit sleepy."

Suga nods. "Yeah, me too. We've got an early practice tomorrow."

Ennoshita stands up, stretching his arms over his head. "I'll walk back with you, Y/N. Pretty sure my room is the same direction"

You smile tiredly "Okay"

The two of you walk out of the kitchen, leaving Suga to clean up the remaining dishes. As you stroll through the dimly lit hallways, the only sound being the soft creaking of the wooden floorboards, you feel a sense of peace wash over you.

Ennoshita walks beside you, his hands tucked into his pockets."Well, here we are i guess," you say. His eyes crinkle at the corners as he smiles. "Alright well goodnight. See you tomorrow" And walks to his room which seemed to be a few rooms down from your hall.

You change into your favorite cozy pajamas and climb into bed, feeling the softness of the blankets on top of you. Your mind wanders back to the conversation with Suga in the pond. You smile to yourself, but also fall into a worry and wonder how long hes had these thoughts for. It's moments like those that make you happy how long your friendship has gone since like middle school.

Chapter Text

Next Day

"Okay, let me show you what I mean. Can you help me out for a sec?"

Kageyama looks curious, but he nods and follows you to a clear space on the floor. You start setting up water bottles in a row, spacing them out evenly aligned to the net.

"Okay, Kageyama, I want you to set the ball to land on... that bottle," you say, pointing to one of the bottles in the middle of the row.

Kageyama nods, but as he sets the ball, it sails past the bottle and lands with a clunk on the floor. He frowns, looking a bit frustrated.

"Try again," you encourage him.

Kageyama nods and sets the ball again, but this time it lands on the wrong bottle. He lets out a small growl of frustration.

"Don't worry, it takes practice. Dont expect to be perfect at it at first try" you reassure him. "Just focus on the spot where you want the ball to land, and try to guide it with your fingers as you set." Say explain as you try to mimick setting with your hands in the air.

Kageyama nods, determination on his face. He sets the ball again, and again, each time getting a bit closer to his target.

After several attempts, Kageyama finally manages to set the ball to land on the correct bottle. He lets out a gasp of excitement.

You smile, impressed by Kageyama's determination and perseverance. "Nice job, Kageyama!"

Kageyama beams with pride, looking relieved that he was able to master the technique. "Thanks, I couldn't have done it without your help."

As you're about to respond, you hear the sound of footsteps approaching. You turn to see Coach Ukai walking towards you, a hint of a smile on his face.

"Ah, Kageyama, I see you're working on your setting technique," he says, eyeing the row of water bottles. "Good job, you're making progress."

Kageyama nods, looking pleased with himself. "Thanks, Coach. I was just practicing with... um, Y/N."

Coach Ukai pauses, looking around at the water bottles and the two of you but doesn't say anything.

As you continue to practice, Coach Ukai just watches from the sidelines The two of you work together seamlessly, Kageyama's setting technique improving with each passing minute.

After a while, Coach Ukai calls out, "Alright, that's enough for now guys. Let's head back to the others and get ready for lunch, after that we will do a few practice matches before the sun goes down"

As Hinata walks over to Kageyama, you remember the reason behind Kageyama's sudden interest in practicing his sets. Hinata had been wanting to try hitting the ball with his eyes open, and Kageyama had been struggling to provide the precise sets needed for Hinata to succeed.

You the conversation you two had in the morning about your opinion on Hinatas sudden change and asking for advice on it. You realize now that he must have had Oikawa's words in mind, about how a great setter needs to be able to control the ball and provide precise sets for their spike.

With this new understanding, you watch as Hinata and Kageyama start to practice together, Hinata attempting to hit the ball with his eyes open and Kageyama providing the sets. You see them fail for a while until they were starting to time their hits and sets.

As you walk away from the court where Hinata and Kageyama are practicing, you decide to explore the training camp facilities. You wander through the hallways, taking in the sights and sounds of the other teams practicing.

As you turn a corner, you stumble upon another gym where a group of familiar faces are practicing together. You can't help but smile as you take in the sight of Akaashi, Kuroo, Bokuto, and Tsukishima all working together.

As you watch, Bokuto, the charismatic captain of Fukurodani, is directing the practice, his usual confidence and energy radiating from him. Akaashi is providing his usual calm and collected support, while Kuroo is practicing his intense spiking. Tsukishima is observing from the sidelines, offering his usual witty and insightful comments.

You watch in awe as the four of them work together seamlessly, their movements fluid and practiced. It's clear that they've been working together for a while, and their teamwork is impressive.

Ennoshita's POV

As I walk by the gym, I catch a glimpse of Y/N standing off to the side. For some reason, my heart skips a beat. I feel a sudden something. Nervousness, maybe?

I slow down my pace, trying to process why I'm feeling this way. We weren't really that close but now, I just... see her. And now I'm feeling weird.

I shake my head, trying to clear it.

What's wrong with me?

I've seen Y/N plenty of times before, and it's never been a big deal. Why is today different?

I glance back at Y/N, trying to get a read on her. She seems completely normal, watching the others practice with a calm expression. Maybe I'm just overthinking things.

I take a deep breath and continue walking, trying to shake off the feeling of unease. But I catch myself sneaking another glance back at Y/N, wondering why I'm feeling so off today.

I was suddenly stopped in my tracks by a voice.

End of POV

As you continue to watch the guys practice, you hear footsteps outside and decided to peak at who it is. You smile and wave, calling out a friendly "Hi, Ennoshita!"

Ennoshita's eyes flicker towards you, and he returns your greeting with a slightly awkward smile. "H-hi," he says, his voice a bit softer than usual.

You don't notice anything out of the ordinary, but Ennoshita's eyes seem to linger on you for a fraction of a second longer than usual. He nods briefly and continues walking.

The others are still practicing, and you turn your attention back to them. After a few minutes you get bored and head back to your dorm to rest up.

As the night falls, you find yourself relaxing in your dorm room and listening to music. Just as youre about to knock out, you hear a faint knock on the door.

You open the door to find Ennoshita standing there with his hands in his pockets, and his eyes seem to be searching for something to do.

"Hey, what's up?" he says, trying to sound casual. "I was just wandering around, and I saw your light on. Thought I'd drop by and say hi."

He pauses, looking around the room, before focusing on you. "Want to hang out for a bit? I'm... bored, theres not much to do here"

Ennoshita's expression is friendly and relaxed, but you sense a hint of underlying energy.

You smile and nod, inviting Ennoshita in. "Sure, come on in. I got none else to do either."

Ennoshita grins and steps inside, looking around your room with interest. "Really? how come youre not with Suga?"

You chuckle a bit at his question. "Oh, I don't know where he is Why?"

"Ah okay well i always see you guys together so I- Well um anyways"He hesitates before thinking of how to change the conversation "What do you like to do on your free time?"

You think for a moment before responding. "I actually really like reading," you say. "I find it helps me relax and unwind after a long day."

Ennoshita nods, looking interested. "I've never been much of a reader myself," he says. "But I've always been curious about what kinds of books people like to read. What kind of stuff do you like to read?"

You hesitate for a moment, feeling a slight blush rise to your cheeks. "I-I like... dark romance," you stutter, trying to sound casual.

Ennoshita's eyes light up with interest. "Oh, really? What kind of dark romance? Have you read any of the classics, like... Edgar Allan Poe?"

You feel your face grow hotter as you try to think of a way to deflect the question. You don't want to admit to reading smutty novels, especially not to Ennoshita...

Hell not even Suga knows about your taste in books.

You nod hastily, trying to play it cool. "Y-yeah, I love Poe."

Ennoshita grins. "No way, me too! I've read 'The Raven' and 'The Tell-Tale Heart'. Which ones have you read?"

You feel your heart racing as you try to think of a way to avoid answering. You don't want to admit that you've never actually read any of Poe's works, and that your "dark romance" tastes lean more towards...ahem...modern authors.

You try to think fast and come up with a way to switch the conversation. "Oh, yeah, Poe's great," you say hastily. "But hey, what about you? What kind of books do you like to read in your free time?"

Ennoshita looks taken aback by the sudden question, but then a slow smile spreads across his face. "Well, I'm a bit of a manga reader"

You laugh and nod enthusiastically. "No way, read manga too! What's your favorite series?"

Ennoshita's eyes light up. "Oh, I'm a huge fan of 'Attack On Titan'!."

You grin, excited to find someone who shares your interests. "Oh my god me too! "

The two of you launch into a passionate discussion about manga, debating the merits of different series and sharing your favorite moments. As you talk, you realize that you're having a lot more fun than you expected, and that Ennoshita is actually really easy to talk to.

Ennoshita's eyes light up with excitement. "Hey, speaking of manga, have you seen the anime 'Bungo Stray Dogs'?"

You raise an eyebrow, intrigued. "Isn't that the one with the characters named after famous authors?"

Ennoshita nods enthusiastically. "Yeah, that's the one! I've heard it's really good, and I love the literary references."

You smile, remembering your earlier conversation about Edgar Allan Poe. "Sounds perfect. Let's give it a try."

Ennoshita starts playing the first episode, and you both settle in to watch, sitting close together on the couch. As the episode progresses, you find yourself laughing and commenting on the characters and plot.

As the episode ends, Ennoshita turns to you with a grin. "So, what did you think so far?"

You take a moment to think before responding. "I think they're a fun aspect of the show," you say. "I mean, it's not like I believe in supernatural powers in real life, but it's cool to see how the show incorporates them into the story."

Ennoshita nods thoughtfully. "Yeah, I agree. It's one of the things that makes the show so cooll" He then goes on a yap session about Dazai and you sboth start yapping anout the show together to no end.

As you're both distracted, Ennoshita accidentally tips over your fave drink. "Oh shit, i am so sorry!" he exclaims.

'Awh man my drink..' you thought

"Its okay don't worry, ill get something to clean it up" You try to say as calmly as possible reassuring him. You were secretly about to crash out cause what the fuck...

As you both grab paper towels to clean up them spill, Your faces are inches apart, and for a moment, you just stare at each other.

You both quickly look away, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment and You focus on cleaning up the spill.

Ennoshita clears his throat, his voice a little deeper than usual. "I think we got it all."

You nod, "Yeah, I think, anyways Ill throw this away". Ennoshita hands you the towels You take the towel, trying not to make a big deal out of it. "Thanks." and make your way to the kitchen cause for some reason, the dorms didn't have a trash can.

Ennoshita smiles, "No problem." He tries to play it cool as of nothing has been happening for him. What is it?

You have no idea...

You start to think about the night you said his first name to get that pudding and started to feel bad that you've never called Suga by his, even after knowing him for so long. The more you thought about it, your face started to feel hot and you didn't know why.

'Koshi'

"what's with the red face?" Tsukishima asks, raising an eyebrow. you ran into Tsukishima in the hallway.

You brush it off, trying to play it cool. "I just got a little hot from cleaning up a spill."

Tsukishima looks skeptical but keeps walking to wherever he is going.

As you're washing your hands in the kitchen, Tsukishima walks by your room, glancing inside through the open door. He sees Ennoshita sitting on the couch, l scrolling through his phone with a bright red face.

Tsukishima's eyes narrow slightly, and he raises an eyebrow. He doesn't say anything, but you can tell he's making a mental note.

Tsukishima continues walking down the hallway, leaving Ennoshita still sitting on the couch.

You finish up in the bathroom and head back to your room, unaware of Tsukishima's now suspicions. As you enter the room, you see Ennoshita still sitting on the couch, his face still a bit red.

"Oh hey, sorry again about the spill," Ennoshita says, looking up at you with a sheepish grin.

You smile and shake your head. "It's okay, accidents happen."

The two of you sit back down, and Ennoshita and you decided to continue watching Bungo Stray Dogs. You settle in to watch, feeling a sense of comfort and ease with Ennoshita.

After about 2-3 episodes later, both of your eyelids started to get heavy but refused to fall asleep with ennoshita nodding off beside you.

And soon, it all went dark. A few hours in you both somehow keep asleep by leaning on eachother.

Chapter Text

I was blinded by the sun attacking my eyes as I was waking up. Once I adjusted to the light, I realized I wasn't alone.  'The hell?'

I look over and I seen Ennoshita with his head on me while I was kinda curled up on him.

'This is...uncomfortable.' I thought to myself. I didn't hate him for it but him sleeping beside me wasn't go for me.

I try to step myself out of the position I was in, I check the time practice was JUST about to start for him, so I had to wake him up or he'd get extra conditioning for it.

"Yo wake up" I tries shaking him awake but he didn't budget, I had to do what anyone else would.

I grabbed one of the biggest pillows I had in my bed, raised it and smacked him on the head with it as hard as I could.

"Wake up!" I say

A Huh was all that came from him. " We're gonna be late for breakfast its almost 8"

"Oh shoot, my bad." With that, he apologized for accidentally sleeping over and left to his own room to get ready for practice. Right after he left, I closed, no, locked the door and started getting ready as well, I didn't want the managers to think I was ditching them on cooking lunch for later.

A few minutes go by and you both head down to the kitchen to see whats left, assuming the others already hoarded everything, damn fatties.

As you enter the kitchen, you see Tsukishima sitting at the table, sipping a cup of.... black coffee while he's scrolling through his phone.

He looks up and sees the two of you together, and for a moment, his expression is inscrutable.

Ennoshita, oblivious to Tsukishima's gaze, heads to the fridge to look for food. "Hey, Tsukishima" he says smiling, pulling out a container of something

Tsukishima just grunts in response, his eyes not looking away from his phone.

"Hey, Y/n so the guys left jack shit. So we're on our own for today" Ennoshita calls out as he's look around inside the fridge then looking back at you. You both start rummaging through the fridge, looking for something to eat. "How about some pancakes?" Ennoshita suggests.

You nod. "For sure!"

Ennoshita starts cracking eggs into a bowl, while you begin measuring out flour and sugar. As you work together, you start to feel a sense of comfort and ease. It's like you've cooked together a million times before.

As the pancakes start to sizzle on the griddle, the kitchen fills with the delicious smell of cooking batter

When the pancakes are finally done, you both sit down to enjoy the fruits of your labor. "These turnt out nice" you exclaim, taking a bite.

Ennoshita grins, looking pleased with himself. "Thanks"

"Dont take all the credit!"

As you and Ennoshita are enjoying your
breakfast, Suga walks by the kitchen doorway. He catches a glimpse of the two of you sitting together, laughing and chatting.

For a brief moment, his expression falters, and he looks slightly taken aback. But he quickly recovers, his face returning to its usual calm and collected state.

Without saying a word, Suga turns and walks away, disappearing from view. You and Ennoshita are completely oblivious to the fact that he was even there.

Suga walks down the hallway, his mind preoccupied with thoughts of Daichi. He needs to talk to him about something team related, but his mind kelt drifting back to the scene he just witnessed in the kitchen.

Each time, he reflected on your smile.

On how it wasn't for him this time, but for someone else.

You and Ennoshita finish your breakfast and start cleaning up the kitchen. When the kitchen is spotless, you both head out to join the rest of the team before youre late. You're supposed to meet up with them for a morning training session, well he is cause youre a manager.

Suga, Daichi, and the others are stretching and warming up, getting ready for the morning's training session. Daichi notices your arrival and gives you a nod. "Alright, let's get started with warm ups" he calls out, clapping his hands together.

The team begins with 20 laps around the gym followed by other stretches, with Ukai providing guidance and feedback after they are done. You and the managers join in, focusing on your technique and teamwork with Kiyoko giving a bit of her own advice

As the training session continues, Suga can't help but sneak glances in your direction. He notices the way you and Ennoshita seem to be getting along well out of nowhere , and a tiny spark of unease slips to his chest.

"You're pretty tensed today, Suga" Daichi comes
up behind him putting a hand on his shoulder...

"Ah! what the hell? Where'd you come from"
which spooked him as you can see.

"Point proven" Daichi says firmly but also in a teasing way.

"Im fine" He replies trying to sound as convincing as possible with reassurance. "Eyeing Y/N every time she talks to Ennoshita is fine to you?" he whispers to him with an eyebrow raised in question.

"Okay, you don't gotta word it like that!" Suga exclaims trying to shut Daichi up.

"It's the truth!" He says to him before he sees the rest of the finishing up the drills. "Alright guys take a 5 minute break!" Daichi shouts loud enough for his team to hear and received a Sir! from them, then they all walked off to chat, drink water and lay down on the floor out of exhaustion.

As the team takes a break, you're busy taking notes and making sure everything is running smoothly. You're the manager, after all

"What you writing there?" Ennoshita comes over to you. You were busy writing notes, until he takes your notebook and see him.

You look at him and Oh wow...

His hair was damped and dripping from either sweat or water and was wearing a white tank top which showed off his toned muscles.

'This guy has a sleeper built?' you thought to yourself.

"Oh um, just notes about your guys' skills and improvements" you answer hesitantly. He then takes it from your hands and starts flipping through it.

See, the way you had organized it was by their jersey number in order (#1, #2, etc.) and each player had small notes from  you in terms of what needed improvement and what you think they're really good at.

•Change to 3rd person•

As Ennoshita continues to chat with Y/N, he playfully teases her about her notes, making her laugh. Y/N, still oblivious to Ennoshita's growing interest, enjoys the lighthearted banter.

Meanwhile, Suga watches the exchange from afar, his eyes narrowing slightly. He's not sure what to make of Ennoshita's flirtatious behavior, but it's clear that Y/N is comfortable around him.

Suddenly, you hear Daichi calling us. The team then gathers around Ukai-sensei, listening intently as he explains the next drill, you also notice Daichi trying not to...smile?

After coach Ukai ends his explanation of whatever it was, Daichi walks up to group with a very serious look on his face which had me, Tanaka and Asahi scared that we somehow made him mad.

...

"BAR?" "BE!" "CUE!" chimed Hinata, Kageyama, Tanaka and Nishinoya singing and dancing about meat. Ukai and coach Nekomata heard the teams ruckus, "How the hell did they find out!?"

"I think a few extra laps after practice work hurt right Ukai?"

"Not all! I think it's worth their wait" said Ukai with a mischievous grin.

The coaches had them do overtime on practice and other stuff like planks if the ball touched the floor and if one of them dropped to the floor mid planks, one of the coaches would restart the timer. After that, they ended training with sprints.

"man I'm exhausted!" Suga exclaimed as he made himself comfortable and laid his head on my lap.

"Stop complaining and get off of me. You're sweaty!" You plead. "Nah" he then decides to stay put, his head still on your lap, and starts to fake-snore softly. You try to shift him off, but he's too heavy.

"Seriously, Suga?!" you whisper to yourself cursing.

Daichi chuckles, shaking his head as he walks up to the two of you. "Let me help you"

You sigh in defeat to Suga's sudden nap on you. Daichi grins, sitting down beside you, picks up a nearby water bottle, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Wakey, Wakey!" he says, aiming the bottle at Suga.

With a quick squeeze, Daichi squirts ice cold water at Suga, splashing him right on the face. Suga's eyes snap open, and he sits up ASAP, grabs a water bottle that was next to him on the floor and squirts water back at Daichi.

BBQ TIME!

You walk into the BBQ area, and the smell of grilled meat and vegetables hits you. Your stomach growls in anticipation. The team is gathered around the tables, chatting and laughing.

You spot Ennoshita and Suga standing by the grill, waiting for their turn to cook. Ennoshita waves at you, and you smile back.

You walk over to join Ennoshita and Suga by the grill. Ennoshita greets you with a smile. "Hey,
y/n. Came to supervise our grilling skills?"

Suga looks up from the grill, his eyes meeting yours for a brief moment. "Hey," he says, his voice neutral.

You take a place beside them, watching as they expertly flip burgers and sausages. The sizzling sounds and savory smells are making your stomach growl with hunger.

You couldn't resist the temptation of the juicy meat, so you sneakily snatch a porkchop from the grill. Ennoshita's eyes widen in surprise, and Suga's expression turns into a small smile trying not to laugh.

"what the...?!" Ennoshita exclaims. "Hey, you're supposed to be in charge, not stealing our food!"

Suga's clears his throat before he starts giggling. "Yeah, that's not cool. He worked his ass off to grill!" he says with some slight sarcasm intended

You hold up the pork chop, grinning mischievously and eats it in one bite.

Ennoshita chuckles, shaking his head. "You're got some nerve" Suga, on the other hand, was impressed on how you managed to eat that pork chop in a single bite. He was per se... impressed.

Suga's expression softens, and he cracks a small smile. "I guess I'll just have to grill more."

He places a new batch of meat on the grill, and just as he's about to turn back to you, Tanaka swoops in and snatches a piece of chicken.

"Whoa, nice one, Tanaka!" You laugh, high-fiving Tanaka.

"You guys planned this!?" Ennoshita exclaims looking back between you and Tanaka.

You chuckled as you had no regrets in your actions. "Maybe"

As the teams  continues to eat and chat, the atmosphere remains lively and relaxed. Ennoshita and Suga focus on their food, savoring the flavors and textures.

After lunch, Ukai-sensei gathers the team for a brief meeting to discuss the upcoming schedule.

Ukai-sensei clears his throat to get everyone's attention. "Alright, team. I know you've all been working incredibly hard lately, and I'm proud of each and every one of you."

He pauses for a moment, a small smile on his face. "As a reward, I'm declaring the rest of today and tomorrow a free day. You can all take a well-deserved break and rest"

The team erupts into cheers and applause, with some players even jumping up from their seats.

Ukai-sensei holds up his hands, chuckling. "However, I do have one condition: you're all expected to be back here by 9 PM sharp. You can explore the city, have some fun, but don't forget to be responsible and get back on time."

Coach Nekomata claps his hands together chuckling. "However, we do have one more condition: under no circumstance are you to wander off alone. Stick together in groups of at least three, and make sure someone knows where you are at all times. We don't want anyone getting lost or getting in trouble for doing someone stupid." The teams nod in agreement.

As the teams scatter to do their own thing, Ennoshita walks over to you, a relaxed smile on his face. "Hey, y/n, are you doing later?"

"Um, no I don't think so." You chat with Ennoshita for a bit, discussing your plans for the free day. After a few minutes, Ennoshita suggests, "Want to explore Shinjuku with me? I've never been there before, but I've heard it's pretty cool, specially the food."

Just as Ennoshita finishes his suggestion, Suga walks up to the two of you, overhearing the conversation. "Shinjuku, huh? I'm in. I could use a break from this training camp food."

You smile as Suga says he'll join. "Perfect! The more, the merrier. Let's go explore."

'Seriously ?' Ennoshita thought to himself. He just wanted to hangout with you.

only you.

The three of you set off together, leaving the training camp behind. You stroll through the streets, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling city.

As you walk, you notice the contrast between the tranquil training camp and the vibrant city streets. Neon lights and giant billboards tower above you, while the sounds of chatter, music, and traffic fill the air.

"It's amazing how different this is from our quiet training grounds." Suga speaks up.

Ennoshita nods in agreement. "Definitely. Sometimes I forget what it's like to be surrounded by so many people in a city like this."

You continue walking, enjoying the sights and sounds of the city. After a while, you come across a small street food stall. The aroma of delicious food wafts through the air, making your stomach growl.

Sugawara giggles. "Let's get some food for you"

"You're always hungry, y/n" Ennoshita adds

You join the short line in front of the stall. The vendor greets you with a warm smile and asks for your orders.

Ennoshita enthusiastically orders a few skewers of yakitori, while Suga opts for a bowl of steaming hot ramen. You decide to try some takoyaki

As you wait for your food, the two of you chat and joke around, enjoying the lively atmosphere of the city.

You guys order your food and when the vendor asks for payment, Ennoshita insists on paying for both of your orders.

"No, no, I can pay for mine!" you protest.

Ennoshita chuckles. "Don't worry about it. Im the one who brought you here."

Meanwhile, Suga stands a far-ish distance away, observing the two of you with a subtle intensity. His eyes narrow slightly as he watches Ennoshita and you laughing together.

Just as Suga's gaze lingers, the vendor calls out, "Next!"

Suga blinks, breaking out of his reverie. He steps forward, focusing on ordering his food.

As you take a bite of the yakitori, a small droplet of sauce lands on the corner of your mouth. Ennoshita notices it and, without hesitation, gently reaches out with his thumb to wipe it away.

The touch is soft and brief, but not enough to make you feel a slight flutter. You slowly look up at Ennoshita, who's now handing you a napkin with a smile.

"Here, you might need this," he says.

You take the napkin. "...Thanks," you say, smiling back at him.

The moment is fleeting, but it's a small, tender gesture that leaves you feeling a little more or less at ease with Ennoshita.

it was an unease moment for you, but you didnt show it.

You and Ennoshita finish your yakitori and decide to look for Suga, who had wandered off to order his own food. You scan the crowded street, spotting Suga waiting in line at a nearby ramen stall.

"Hey, looks like Suga's found lunch," Ennoshita says, nodding towards the stall.

You smile and start walking towards Suga, Ennoshita by your side. As you approach, Suga notices you and raises an eyebrow.

"Find something good?" he asks, eyeing the empty yakitori sticks in your hand.

You nod, holding up the yakitori stick. "yakitori! Ennoshita treated me."

Suga's gaze flicks to Ennoshita, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "Generous of you, Ennoshita."

Ennoshita shrugs, grinning. "I felt bad having her pay for some reason."

'Sure buddy' Suga thinks to himself.

Suga snorts at ennoshitas comment, but a small smile appears on his lips. The vendor hands Suga a steaming bowl of ramen, and he takes a sip, closing his eyes savoring the warm broth.

The 3 of you scan the crowded street, looking for a place to sit. After a few minutes of searching, Ennoshita spots a small bench tucked away in a quiet alley.

"Hey, how about there?" Ennoshita suggests, nodding towards the bench.

Suga walks over to the bench, inspecting it briefly before sitting down. You and Ennoshita join him, sitting on either side.

Suga takes another sip of his ramen, savoring the flavors. "This is really good," he says, eyes closed in appreciation.

Ennoshita grins. "Told you this place was good."

'I thought you said you've never been here before?' Suga thinks to himself furrowing his eyebrows in confusion.

You smile completely unaware of the subtle tension beween them . enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. The three of you sit there for a while, chatting and laughing together.

You and Ennoshita sit down on the bench, with Suga sitting across from you. Suga takes a sip of his ramen.

For a moment, Suga's eyes narrow slightly, a fleeting thought crossing his mind. He can't help but feel like a third wheel, watching the easy camaraderie between you and Ennoshita.

But Suga brushes off the feeling, focusing on his food instead. He takes another sip of his ramen, the flavors distracting him from his thoughts.

As you and Ennoshita continue chatting, Suga listens quietly, his eyes fixed on some point ahead.

A few minutes pass and the 3 of you finish your food. You and Ennoshita continue chatting, completely unaware of Suga's brief moment of introspection. His gaze drifts back to the two of you, a small, wry smile playing on his lips.

As Ennoshita l ends his conversation, you glance at Suga, catching his eye. "Hey, Suga, what do you think? Should we head back soon?" you ask.

Suga nods with a smile "Yeah, probably a good idea. We don't want to risk getting in trouble for staying out too late."

Ennoshita groans, standing up and stretching. "It's still early. though?"

Suga raises an eyebrow. "Early? It's already past 8:40 PM. We need to head back before curfew."

You nod in agreement with Suga. "Yeah, let's head back. We don't want to risk getting in trouble."

Ennoshita sighs, but eventually nods. " Right, Let's go."

The three of you start walking back, strolling through the quiet streets. The night air is crisp and cool, and you can't help but feel a sense of contentment.

As you walk, the night air grows cooler, and you shiver slightly. Both Ennoshita and Suga notice, and simultaneously offer you their sweaters.

"Here, take my sweater"they say in perfect unison.

They look at each other, surprised and confused. Ennoshita's eyes widen, while Suga's eyebrows shoot up.

You're taken aback by the sudden, synchronized offer. "Um..." you say, unsure how to react.

Ennoshita and Suga continue to stare at each other, both of them seemingly at a loss for words.

The awkward tension between them stretches for a moment, "I think I'm fine. Thanks"

The rest of the walk back to the dorms is silent, with only the sound of your footsteps breaking the quiet. Ennoshita and Suga walk on either side of you, their faces illuminated only by the occasional streetlight.

The silence isn't uncomfortable, exactly.. You can't help but wonder what's going with Ennoshita's and Suga today..

As you approach the dorm entrance, Ennoshita speaks up, his voice low. "Thanks for tonight, guys."

Suga nods, his expression softening. "No problem.."

You smile, feeling a sense of gratitude towards your friends. "You too."

With that, the three of you part ways, heading to your respective rooms.

Or so you thought.

As you were about to close your door, you notice Suga still standing there looking a bit down.

You step aside, allowing Suga to enter your dorm room. He walks in, his eyes scanning the space before focusing on you.

"Hey, what's wrong?" you ask, noticing the faint creases between his eyebrows.

Suga shrugs, his shoulders barely rising off his chest. "Nothing, really. Just... tired, I guess."

You study his face, sensing there's more to it, but he doesn't elaborate.

Without thinking, you gesture to the bed. "Come here."

Suga walks over and sits down beside you. You part your legs slightly, and he leans forward, resting his head on your stomach.

You start brushing his hair, the gentle strokes soothing him. Suga's eyes gaze up at you, his voice low and rambling.

"I had a weird dream last night... (inaudible to suga due to spacing out)"

He chuckles softly, his eyes drifting shut.

Before you could start rambling about whatever it was, he starts talking. "I don't know, maybe I'm just stressed about stuff... But I was thinking, do you remember that time we went to the beach back in elementary school?" A sly grin spreads across his face.

"You were so scared of those little sand crabs... And l had to chase you around with a handful of them." He laughs softly, the sound sending a warm feeling through your chest.

"You were so fast, but I was determined to catch you."

His voice trails off, and his breathing slows. You continue to brush his hair, watching him as he talks, and listening to his soothing voice. But as he looked up at her, his eyes began to gloss over, and Y/N's expression changed from calm to shock and confusion."Suga?" she asked softly in worry, her voice barely a whisper.

For a few seconds, they just stared at each other, the only sound the quiet hum of the room. Y/N's eyes were filled with concern and empathy, but she didn't ask him what was wrong. Instead, she gently reached up and wiped the tears from his cheek with her thumb.

Suga's eyes fluttered closed, and he put his head back down, nestling into Y/N's stomach. Y/N's hand cradled his head, her fingers gently caressing his hair as he silently let the tears fall.

As the minutes ticked by, Suga's tears slowly subsided, and his breathing grew steady. Y/N's hand never left his head, and she felt his body relax. Eventually, Suga's eyelids grew heavy, and he fell asleep, his head still cradled in Y/N's hand. Y/N watched him for a while, her eyes filled with love and concern. But as she gazed at his peaceful face, her own eyelids began to droop, and she drifted off to sleep, Suga's head still resting on her stomach.

Chapter Text

Sugas POV

I slowly opened my eyes, groggily taking in my surroundings. I was laying on Y/N's stomach with my arms around her waist. I must have fallen asleep

Y/n was still asleep, her chest rising and falling with each gentle breath. For a moment, I just lay there admiring her. Her features were soft and relaxed, her hair a bit of a tangled mess from sleep. But as I gazed at her, my mind began to wnader back to last night. I thought about how I broke down in front of her without any given explanation. A pang of regret hit me, I felt bad for put her in that position

But in all honesty, I felt off. It was like a switch when you're happy and all of the sudden you get hit with sadness and you don't exactly know why. Although, there's something that's been bothering me but I dont really know what it is, I wasn't one to get emotional or let alone cry.

But...Y/n's presence helped. And although I was with her most of yesterday.

I missed her.

End of POV

Suga carefully got out of bed, trying not to disturb Y/N. She was still fast asleep, her chest rising and falling with each gentle breath. He smiled softly to himself, feeling a pang of affection.

He grabbed a blanket from the foot of the bed and gently draped it over her, making sure she was covered. She murmured something incoherent, but didn't wake up.

He stood there for a moment, watching her sleep, (in a non creepy way of course). Then, he quietly made his way out of her room, closing the door behind him.

The dorm was still quiet, and the other guys weren't awake yet. So he decided to take advantage of the peace and quiet, heading to the shower before the morning chaos began.

-a few minutes later-

He stepped out of the shower, feeling refreshed and invigorated. Wrapping a towel around his waist, he made his way back to his room.

As he opened the door, he was startled to see Y/N sitting on his bed, looking through her phone. He hadn't expected her to be there, and his heart skipped a beat.

"Ahh!" he exclaimed, instinctively clutching his towel tighter around his waist.

Y/N looked up, startled, and their eyes met. For a moment, they just stared at each other, Suga's heart racing with surprise...

"What are you doing here?" he asked, still clutching his towel tightly around his waist.

Y/N shrugged, a small smile playing on her lips. "Uhm, I woke up and you were gone so I went to look for you." She smile widely, unfazed in the state Suga was in and Suga felt his face heat up. He hadn't expected her to go searching for him, and he definitely hadn't expected to be caught in nothing but a towel.

"Can you... um... give me a few minutes?" he asked, trying to sound casual despite his growing embarrassment.

Y/N raised an eyebrow, but nodded. "Okay, sure."

She got up from the bed and headed for the door, "I'ma go shower before the guys wake up" Suga let out a relieved breath as the door closed behind her. He quickly dropped his towel and began to get dressed, his heart still racing from the surprise encounter.

He quickly finished getting dressed, pulling on some comfortable sweats and a wife beater.

Y/n's POV:

I showered, singing along to the music playing from my phone in the background. The warm water and upbeat tunes helped wake me up, and I felt refreshed by the time I got out.

I dressed quickly, throwing on some comfy clothes, and headed to the kitchen to grab some breakfast. As I walked in, I was greeted by Tsukishima, who was leaning against the counter, sipping a cup of coffee.

"Morning," he said, his voice low and smooth, as he raised an eyebrow at me.

I smiled back at him, feeling a bit more awake now. "Morning, Tsukishima."

He raised an eyebrow, his expression skeptical. "You're oddly cheerful for someone who just woke up."

I shrugged, "Im not you"

"I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that Ennoshita's around" He said as he sipped the coffee.

I frowned, taken aback by the addition. "Why would I be cheerful about Ennoshita?"

Tsukishima leaned against the counter, his eyes glinting with amusement. "So, you're saying you're not happy to see Ennoshita, then?"

I shook my head, feeling a bit defensive. "That's not what I meant. I just don't see why you'd think I'd be cheerful about him"

Tsukishima's smile remained. "Just asking."

I raised an eyebrow a bit confused by his random comment and question.

Just then, the door slid open and Ennoshita walked in, followed closely by Suga. " Hey" Suga chimed with his usual bright smile

I smiled, greeting them both. "Morning"

End of POV

Tsukishima's eyes flicked between Ennoshita and Suga, his expression neutral. He'd happened to notice that my door had been left open accidentally by me the past two nights, and he'd caught glimpses of my overnight guests - Ennoshita one night (unfortunately) , and Suga the next.

Tsukishima's eyes flicked between Ennoshita and Suga. He'd known Suga and Y/n were close, childhood friends and all that. But lately, he'd noticed that the way Suga looked at Y/n was a similar one that Ennoshita was giving Y/n. Tsukishima's eyes narrowed.

Tsukishima decided to slip into his room, a sly grin spreading across his face. He sat onto his bed, where Yamaguchi was lounging, earbuds in.

"Hey Tadashi" Tsukishima spoke up. Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow, pulling out his earbuds.
"whats up"

Tsukishima leaned in, a conspiratorial whisper escaping his lips. "Theres a love triangle on the team and youd be surprised who the 3rd person is."

Yamaguchi questions. "why only the third person?"

"Well you know how the whole team basically knows Sugawara likes y/n except for himself. And her, right?" Tsukishima explains and Yamaguchi seemed intrigued yet confused, "uh huh...... and?"

"well, I think Ennoshita likes Y/n as well" He says. They continue on with their gossip and theorize about recent interactions the both of them have witnessed between Ennoshita,
y/n and Suga.

Scene cuts to Asahi and Daichi

Daichi and Asahi were walking down the hallway, engaged in a heated discussion about . As they passed by Tsukishima's room, they caught the tail end of his and Yamaguchi's conversation.

"...I saw Sugawara coming out of Y/n's room this morning" Yamaguchis voice drifted out into the hallway.

Daichi's eyes met Asahi's, a spark of curiosity igniting between them. They knew exactly what they were gonna do.

They made their way into the kitchen, scanning the room for Suga, who was chatting with Y/n and Ennoshita. With mischievous grins, they swooped in, stealing Suga away from the group.

"Hey, Sugaaaa We need to talk about something" Daichi said, clapping Suga on the back.

"Huh?" Suga shot them confused but defeated look, he didn't try to protest as they dragged him away, accepting his fate. Y/n watched them go, a mixture of worry on her face. 'Shit, did Daichi fond out we got arrested and kicking us out the team???' AM I NEXT?'

Y/n started to overthink cause she thought that Daichi looked mad (He isn't).

Daichi and Asahi led Suga away from the kitchen, chatting about random things until they were out of earshot. Then, Daichi's expression turned sly.

"So, Suga, what were you doing in y/n's room?" Daichi asked, his eyes glinting with curiosity.

Suga's widen his eyes in surprise "What are you guys talking about?" he said trying to sound normal.

"You really suck at lying" Asahi commented

Suga's face went blank "...What? Why do you two want to know so badly?"

"Oh, no reason. I just want you to admit that you like her" Daichi said, chuckling.

"I don't though, She's just a really good friend" Suga's expression turned skeptical, but before he could respond, he looked around and realized they were heading towards the gates. "Wait, where are we going?"

Daichi shrugged. "to walk around Tokyo."

Asahi nodded. "Yeah, we don't have anything else to do."

"I'm still in my sweats...Can we at least wait? I need to change into some decent clothes."Daichi grinned.

"Sure. Take your time."Asahi chuckled. Suga shot them a dry look but headed back towards the dorms to change.

"'She's just a friend' my ass" Daichi snickered to Asahi, both of them giggling as Suga left.

As Suga pushed open the door to his room, expecting it to be empty , his eyes widen in surprise. He was met with a familiar face - Y/n was sitting on his bed, looking like she owned the place.Suga's heart skipped a beat as he let out a startled yelp. " Y/n, what are you doing here?"Y/n looked up, startled, and then broke into a laugh. " Your bed in comfier than mine for some reason"

Suga's face turned slightly pink as he looked at Y/n, who was still sprawled out on his bed.  "Uh, okay. Well, I need to change. Can you  maybe...  LEAVE?"

Y/n raised an eyebrow as Suga hesitated. "You act like  I've never seen you shirtless before," .Suga's face turned slightly pink. "Yeah well... I like my privacy too."

Y/n groaned, rolling her eyes. "Fine, fine. I'll leave."She walked out of the room, leaving Suga to change in peace.

Y/n sighed as  he walked to her own room and locked the door to change as well.. She couldn't help but think about her life choices.

Why did she agreed to explore Tokyo with Ennoshita, Kinoshita, and Narita? It's not that she had anything against them. They were nice guys, but they just weren't her type of crowd.

She had been looking forward to spending the day with Hinata, Kageyama, Noya, and Tanaka. They always knew how to have fun, but sadly had to decline when Hinata asked her if she wanted to join them, But she had promised Ennoshita beforehand, and she hated backing out on people.

It was a trait she hated the most about herself - being a people-pleaser. Always putting others' expectations above her own desires.

' Daichis right, putting others above my own desires make life miserable'. Y/n took a deep breath and pushed aside her doubts.

She would make the most of her day with Ennoshita's group. Maybe it would turn out to be more fun than she expected. Hecks, maybe she could try to get to know the other two.

As Y/n met up with Ennoshita's group, she made a conscious effort to be more social. She spotted Kinoshita, who was quietly observing the group's banter, and decided to try and strike up a conversation.

"Hey, Kinoshita" Y/n asked, walking over to him.Kinoshita looked up, slightly startled, and smiled.

"hello "Y/n leaned against a nearby railing "Do you have any fun plans for today, like any places you wanna visit?"

"Actually, I was thinking of checking out this new  bookstore in Akihabara, I heard it's cat bookstore. Have you heard of it?" asked Kinoshita, Y/n's eyes widened.

"Cats??? in a bookstore?! We should go!"Kinoshita smiled at her reationc, and could see a hint of excitement in her eyes.

"For sure!"As they continued talking, Y/n found herself feeling more at ease.

'Maybe this day won't be so bad after all.'

An hour or so went by, Y/n and Kinoshita grew a bit more comfortable with each other.Eventually, Ennoshita suggested they take a break and head to the Tokyo Tower, which was just a short train ride away. The group agreed, and soon they found themselves standing in front of the iconic tower, gazing up at its impressive height.Y/n's eyes widened as she craned her neck to take in the view. "Wow, it's huge..."Kinoshita nodded, smiling. "Yeah, definitely. I bet it looks better at night"

"Lets go to the observation deck" Narita suggested and they all agreed, making their way up.

As they walked towards the Tokyo Tower, Kinoshita leaned in, a mischievous glint in his eye.

"So, Y/n, what's going on with you and Suga?"

Y/n's cheeks flushed, and rolled her eyes at how many times she's heard this questions . "Nothing. We're just close friends."Kinoshita raised an eyebrow. "Just friends?? That's not what it looks. You guys fight like a married couple"

"Um Nuh uh"

Kinoshita chuckled. "Sure, but maybe there's something more going you know." he says grinning a bit.

"What? nooo,  I swear were just friends. And im sure he'd say the same" She said.

KInoshita knew it was pretty obvious to the whole team that Suga likes Y/N...except for Suga and Y/n.

Kinoshita's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Okay so then be honest with me... have you ever felt anything, you know, during your interactions with him?"

Y/n's smile faltered, and she looked away, her voice barely above a whisper, "I don't-."

Kinoshita's expression softened, and he nodded understandingly. "No worries. I was just curious."

He recalled hearing that Daichi's group would be around this area, and a small part of him hoped Y/n goes to them, not because he didn't want her with them, but he wanted her and Suga to spend time together.

Eventually, the 4 reached the top and walked around. "Hey, Y/n, look" Kinoshita said, pointing ahead. "There's a great spot to take pictures of the Tokyo Tower, wanna check out the view?" he asked. Y/n nodded and the three of them walked towards the spot Kinoshita had pointed out.

Ennoshita stands beside her, his eyes shining with delight. "Isn't it amazing?" he asks, his voice full of wonder.  You nod, smiling. "It's incredible."As she takes in the view, she couldn't help but feel a sense of connection to Ennoshita. He's easy to talk to. But even as she enjoy the moment, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was spending an awful lot of time with Ennoshita the past few days – time that could be spent with Suga.

As they took pictures and admired the view, Kinoshita's eyes scanned the surrounding area, hoping to spot Daichi's group.

- Change in POV: 2nd person

A few minutes later, his wish came true. As you and Ennoshita admire the view, you hear a familiar voice calling out to you.

"Hey, what's up?"

You turn to see Suga, Asahi, and Daichi approaching you, big smiles on their faces.  Kinoshita grins, 'Perfect timing' he thought to himself.

"just admiring the view" You say smiling at him.

Suga  smiles back. "Mind if I join you?" You shake your head, "Not at all."

A few minutes go by and you end up drifting away from Ennoshita's group to sticking with Daichi's group. You felt a bit bad but you were more fond with Daichi, Asahi and Suga than the other three.

------

Ennoshita turned to Kinoshita. "Hey, where's Y/n? I thought she was with us."Kinoshita shrugged, his expression neutral.

"Oh, she's went with Daichi's group."Ennoshita's eyes narrowed slightly, and Kinoshita noticed a flicker of disappointment in his eyes. He knew Ennoshita had hidden feelings for Y/n, but it was clear she didn't return them. Kinoshita's expression remained sympathetic, but he didn't push the issue. Ennoshita's face smoothed out, and he forced a smile. "Oh, okay."Kinoshita nodded, letting the subject drop.

------

As you spend more time with the group, you realized that you missed hanging out with Suga like this. Usually It was just talking or helping in the gym during practice or walking home after  practice, or like on some days, you guys would lie about having practice to your parents but instead would go a bit out of town to fuck around and find out. Like sneaking into private property, which would began with Suga finding out about the place and bringing you along without telling you it was private property. And you guys never got caught, until that last time...which resulted in getting arrested.

But now today, you guys get to spend a whole day together. Eventually after an hour or so of walking, you notice that the crowds around you are growing thicker and more chaotic. People are pushing and shoving to get through the narrow streets, and you start to feel a little anxious about getting separated.

Without thinking, you reach out and grab Suga's arm, your left hand wrapping around his bicep from underneath. Suga looks down at you, a hint of surprise in his eyes, but he doesn't pull away. However, as the crowds grow even more intense, Suga suddenly slips his arm out of your grasp. Before you can react, he wraps his arm around your waist, pulling you close to his side."Stay close," he says, his voice low and calm. "I don't want you to get lost."

"This hurts to watch sometimes" Asahi whispers to Daichi as they both eye the two beside them

Daichi nods in agreement. "Yeah, it really does."

They've known Suga for years, and they can see the way he looks at you and the way he's always finding excuses to be with you. But what they couldn't get past is how Suga would deny it every time. They weren't sure if he was lying at first, but they realized he was just oblivious, unfortunately.

Asahi speaks up, suggesting to visit a nearby bookstore that's famous for the cats that are there.

'is that the bookstore Kinoshita was talking about?' You agree, and the group makes their way to the store.Inside, you're immediately charmed by the cozy atmosphere and the cats lounging on shelves and in laps.

You wander the aisles, scanning the shelves for anything that catches your eye.And then, you see it: a copy of "The Love Hypothesis" by Ali Hazelwood. You've been wanting to read this book for ages, and you can't believe your luck.Just as you're reaching for the book, you feel a presence behind you. You turn to see Suga standing there, a curious expression on his face.

"What's that book?" he asks, nodding towards the copy in your hand. You feel a flush rise to your cheeks as you stutter, trying to come up with a response that doesn't reveal the book's, ahem, steamy content."I just like the book colour" you try, hoping Suga won't press the issue.Suga raises an eyebrow, clearly not buying your explanation.

"The color, huh?" he repeats, his voice low and teasing as he takes a peak at the cover of the book. You nod vigorously, feeling your face grow even hotter.

Suga's laughter grows louder, and he leans in, his voice taking on a conspiratorial tone. "Now I'm curious. What's so embarrassing about the book? come, at least tell me what it's about. Can't be that bad"

You can't exactly tell Suga that it's a smut novel, can you?"Uh, it's just...a chemstry book," you stammer, trying to sound convincing.

Suga raises an eyebrow. "A chemistry book?" he repeats, his voice laced with skepticism. You nod vigorously, feeling your face grow hotter by the second. "Y-yes, that's right."

His gaze lingers on the book in your arms. "Okay, well if you say so... then let me see, I like a bit of chemistry" he says, his voice low and gentle, but with a hint of curiosity.

You feel a surge of panic as Suga reaches out to take the book from your hands. You try to hold on to it, but he's too quick, and he gently pries the book loose from your grasp. As he looks at the cover, his expression changes from curiosity to surprise, and then to amusement. A few seconds after looking at the cover, he opens the book and starts flipping over pages, chapters as his eyes were scanning them "A science book, huh?" he repeats, his voice dripping with tease.

You watch in mortification as Suga's face remains neutral, but his eyes sparkle with amusement. He reads for a few moments, then closes the book and hands it back to you."Maybe I should get this get this book too," he says, his voice completely serious, but his eyes glinting with teasing.

'you're kidding?' You thought to yourself.

You try to casually flip through the book to see what chapter Suga was reading, but you can't seem to find the right page.

As you're searching, you notice Suga browsing through the rest of the books in the section you got the book from. He's scanning the shelves, his eyes scanning the titles and covers. You can't help but wonder if he knows what kind of books these are. I mean, there is a sign above him that reads 'Adult Romance'. Suga's expression is neutral, but you catch a glimpse of curiosity in his eyes. He picks up a book, examines the cover, and then puts it back on the shelf. You're not sure if he's actually interested in the books or just browsing out of curosity.

Then you watch as Suga picks up a copy of "Icebreaker" and begins to flip through the pages. Your eyes widen slightly as you recall the numerous social media posts and reviews that have hinted how many smut scenes that book has.  You can't help but wonder what Suga thinks of it, and whether he's actually interested in reading something so... explicit.

i mean,Suga reading THAT? there is just NO way in hell! As you thought about it, it would makes sense but...he just looks so innocent-like?

You shove the thoughts away and decide to leave Suga to his browsing. You walk over to the checkout counter, book in hand, and pay for your purchase. As you're waiting for your change, you notice a ridiculously fluffy cat following you, so you scoop him up and cradle him in your arms. To your surprise, the cat nuzzles his head into the crook of your neck and begins to purr contentedly. You laugh and gently place him on your shoulder, where he proceeds to climb up and perch himself. You pay for book and then wander around the bookstore, browsing through the shelves and running your fingers over the spines of the books.

As you turn a corner, you catch a glimpse of Suga at the checkout counter, paying for a book. You can't help but wonder what he bought, and a tiny part of you hopes it's not one of the books you've been eyeing.

You decide to find a cozy spot in the bookstore and settle in to read your new book. The fluffy cat on your shoulder snuggles in closer, purring softly. As you become engrossed in the story, minutes tick by unnoticed.

'... that agonizingly slow moment went by, and the kiss became..different. The man inhaled sharply and inclined his head a tiny bit,[...] and his hands - which were large and pleasantly warm in the AC of the hallway-closed around her waist. They slid up a few inches, coming to wrap around Olive's rib cage and holding her to himself'

"This is a really good book, isn't it?" he says, his breath tickling the back of your neck.

You let out a startled yelp, and the cat on your shoulder leaps off, darting away with a frightened meow. You spin around, your heart racing, and find Suga standing behind you, with a bright close eyed smile on his face.

"How long have you been standing there?!" Suga chuckles and holds up his hands in a defensive gesture. "My bad. I just saw you reading and got curious."

"Curious? You could have just asked me what I was reading instead of sneaking up on me"Suga shrugs, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "That wouldn't be fun"

You huff, still feeling a bit rattled. "Well, you scared off the cat as well.” Suga looks around, spotting the fluffy cat watching from a safe distance. " Womp Womp.” THE HELL? And then to your surprise, Suga pulls out a packet of cat treats from his pocket and begins to bribe the cat back with food. The cat's eyes narrow, but eventually, he runs back to him sniffing at the treats.

You settle back into reading your book, trying to focus on the story despite Suga's distracting presence. Just as you're getting back into your beloved book, you hear the sound of footsteps approaching.

You look up to see Asahi and Daichi walking towards you "Hey, we were looking all over for you guys," Daichi says, relief evident in his voice. "We wanted to know if you guys wanna go eat"

You mentally curse as you realize your reading time has been interrupted. You sigh and close your book, tucking it into your bag."Sure, let's go," you say forcing a smile, standing up "Man I was right in the middle of a good chapter..."

As you walk out of the library with the others, you couldn't help but try to sneak a peek into Suga's bag. You're curious about what kind of book he bought, but no matter how hard you try, you can't get a glimpse without being obvious.

You step out into the crowded streets, you're immediately swept up by the herd of people.Suga's hand shoots out, grabbing your arm and pulling you close. "Stick close," he says in a low, monotone voice, his eyes scanning the crowd. "You'll get lost." you nod, his hand still wrapped around your arm.

After a while, they suggest stopping by a street food spot that's famous for its desserts and really spicy food.As you arrive at the spot, the delicious smells of sweet and spicy waft through the air, making your mouth water. Soon enough, the four of you were arguing on where to eat.

"Why don't we just split up and get our own thing and meet somewhere?" She sighs in defeat. The guys stay quiet for a moment before they all agree to the idea.

Asahi and Daichi left to get desserts, while you decided to head to where the spicy food was a-"Devil's Breath" chili-laced dessert that's infamous for its intense heat.

You take a bite of the dessert, and your eyes widen in surprise. The heat is intense, but it's also... strangely addictive? You start to sweat, and your mouth feels like it's on fire, but you can't help but go back for another bite. The combination of spicy and sweet is surprisingly good.

The guys gather around, curious about your reaction. Daichi and Suga bursts out laughing at the sight of you sweating and fanning your mouth. "holy shit your eyes are watery!" Meanwhile Asahi had a concerned face, "Do you want me to get you something to drink??"

"Let me try," Suga says, his voice low and even. You hesitate for a moment, wondering if you even want to share, but Suga's gaze makes you hand over the dessert. He takes a bite, his expression unreadable...For a moment, nothing happens. Then, a small smile appears on his lips, and he nods in approval. "Not bad," he says, smiling.

"give me that!" You say as you snatch the dessert back from Suga's hands, finishing the rest in one go. The heat explodes in your mouth, and you're instantly panting, trying to catch your breath. It was spicy, but addicting.

Suga pulls out a water bottle from his bag and hands it to you, a knowing glint in his eye. "Here," he says trying not to laugh. You take the water bottle, still panting from the spiciness, and unscrew the cap. He looks away, trying to stifle a laugh, but you can see the corners of his mouth twitching. " I hate you" you say jokingly.

'You're welcome" He says with a grin. You take another sip of the water, feeling your throat start to recover from the spiciness. As you hand the water bottle back to Suga, you say, "You know, I think I'm go for seconds"

The Daichi and Asahi look at eat other, the back at you in shock and concern. Suga just shrugs, a small smile playing in his lips, "I'll go with you."

All four of you make your way to the food stand since Daichi and Asahi were a bit skeptical  on how spicy it actually was considering two different reactions from the dessert. You all get one each, the vendor giving you a surprised look that you came back for seconds but got straight to work.

Then once each recieved the desert, you all take a bite and Daichi's and Asahi's reactoins were immediate. They start to cough, their eyes water up and face was red. And Suga...well Suga just seemed happy be there, "This is pretty good."

"I told you guys it was spicy" You say as you started laughing at both of them.

"How the hell are guys so.. calm?!" Asahi exclaimed. Daichi pushes his desert away looking dead, "Yeah i think Im done"

You feeling a bit merciful, offer to finish their dessert for them. "I'll glaaaaadly take these," you say with a bright smile.

"Y/n, don't over do it. You're gonna get a stomach ache" Suga says with geniune concern in his eyes. "Ill be fine don't worry" You say trying to reasure him.

After you finish their desserts, the group decides to walk around the city to digest their food. As the group strolls, you come across a record store. Your eyes widen in excitement, "Can we go here?" The guys agree and all three of you go in. The place was FILLED with  Vinyls. You started to scatter around looking for a specifc one you had been wanting to get your hands on: 'Typical of me EP,' which is one of your favorite  albums by Laufey.

Suga approaches you, his eyes scanning the shelves, "What are you looking for?"

You smile, "I'm looking for Laufey's 'Typical of Me'. I haven't been able to buy it," Suga nods sympathetically, "i know me too, we've been too busy to do anything. Let me help you find it."

just then, a girl appproaches Suga, "Excuse me, do you happen to know where I can find vinyls for Laufey?"

Suga smiles politely. "Ah no sorry I don't work here. But me and my friend are looking for the same thing actually" he gestures and you wave at her trying to be friendly. The girl barely acknowledges you, her eyes fixed on Suga as she starts talking to him about the artist. "Oh my god, you listen to her too? What's your favorite song?!"

" 'Best Friend'  is my top favorite" suga enthustiastically talks about the artist with the girl. But you start to feel a growing sense of unease, wondering why the girl is ignoring  your exsitence.

Then it hit you… She was THAT type of girl. You tried to be part of the convo with Suga but the girl didnt seem to acknowledge you or anything.

As the girl continues to chat with Suga, her flirting becomes more...annoying, giggling at her own jokes, and Suga starts to look uncomfortable. He laughs awkwardly, trying to politely extricate himself from the conversation.

Meanwhile, Daichi and Asahi, who have been browsing nearby, noticed you looked a bit uncomfortable ."Hey, Y/n,  We found that album you've been looking for," Asahi says, grabbing your arm and pulling you away from the scene. As Daichi and Asahi pull you away, you can't help but glance back at Suga, who's still chatting with the girl. You feel a pang of jealousy, wondering why Suga seems so comfortable around her.

As they chat, the girl asks Suga for his number, saying she'd love to continue the conversation and get to each other better. "Hey, it was great talking to you. Would you like to exchange numbers? We could talk more about other stuff!"  Suga hesitates for a moment, explaining that he's not from Miyagi, but the girl reassures him that it's fine, she'd love to stay in touch.

Suga didn't really know how to tell her No without being rude so he agreed, "ah sure, I guess." He takes her phone in his hands and inputs a whole different number than his on purpose. He smiles innocentely and gives the girl back her phone.

For a moment, Suga worries that she might try to call the number right there and then, but he quickly thinks of an excuse. "Hey, I'm so sorry, but my phone's dead," Suga says "I don't think I can receive any calls right now."  The girl nods understandingly, tucking her phone into her pocket. "No worries, I'll catch up with you later then."Suga breathes a sigh of relief as the girl walks away, unaware that she's just been handed a fake number. He watches her go, feeling a mix of amusement and zero regrets.

Suga looks around, realizing you're no longer standing next to him. He feels a pang of guilt and worry, wondering where you went. He scans the area, his eyes scanning the crowds until he spots you standing with Asahi and Daichi. They're all chatting and laughing, but you look a bit subdued.

"What happened ? seems you were getting hit on pretty hard." Asahi speaks up. Suga chuckles, feeling a bit relieved. "Yeah some girl asked for my number, but I didn't wanna be rude so I gave her a different one"

Daichi raises an eyebrow, "A different one? what number did you give her?" Suga grins, "I gave her the number of a pizza hut"

"Why do you have the number memorized?!" You spoke up laughing, curious to his reasonings.

"For that exact reason. Also because I really like their spicy bonelss wings" he smiles.

" that's genius, but also kind of messed up," Asahi comments and Suga just shrugs. "I know it's not the nicest thing to do and I feel bad about it but it got to the point where I was getting asked for my number so frequently that I just got annoyed. So, I decided to have a little fun with it. Plus, this girl was a bit rude to Y/n."

You were a bit surprised at his response and felt a bit happy that he noticed what was going.

Suga's eyes light up as he remember something, "Hey y/n, did you ever find that Laufey album we were looking for?" he asks, changing the topic. You smile at him in disapointment, "Actually no, I haven't."

"I think I saw it somewhere over here," he says, the two then walk away from Asahi and Daichi. You and Suga start searching for the album. Suddenly, you get a tap on your shoulder and see suga smiling while holding up the album to show you, "I found it."

Your eyes widen, shining with gratitude "NO WAY!" you pause for a moment to look at him, "I love you, thank you so much!" you say and hug him. Suga's eyes widen slightly at your outburst, but just smiles back, "um sure." You and Suga make your way to the cashier. After paying, you meet up with Daichi and Asahi outside the store.

"Found what you were looking for?" Asahi asks, eyeing the bag containing your new album.

You nod enthusiastically, holding up the album. "Yeah, thanks to Suga"

Daichi grins. "thats nice, well I think we should go head to eat something."

However, as the group discussed where to eat, it becomes clear that you're all in the mood for something different. Asahi and Daichi were in the mood for sushi, while you and Suga were craving Korean BBQ

"Hey, why don't we just split up?" Asahi suggests.

You nod. The 4 of you split into 2 groups (even though coach said NOT to). You were left standing with Suga, who looks at you with a hint of a smile, "looks like its just two" he says.

You and Suga stroll and as you get to your destination, you make your way inside the Korean BBQ place and get greeted by a hostess. You were asked to wait a few minutes before getting seated and then the hostess came in to seat you guys and went over the menu and the grilling process. You both decide to order a few types of meat, including bulgogi and spicy calamari and the waitress brings out the ingredients and side dishes.

Suga raises an eyebrow, concern etched on his face. "Hey, aren't you overdoing it with the spiciness?"

You wave your hand dismissively. "I'm fine, I can handle it." you say as you take a bite of the spicy calamari.

As you finish up, you both decide to take a walk to the Tokyo Tower, enjoying the crisp evening air and the stunning views of the city. As you approach the tower, you're struck by its majestic beauty, lit up against the sky. You had mentioned to Suga that you thought that the sunset view might look incredible (this conversation came up a week before the Tokyo trip), so without you asking, he walks you guys up to the watch tower. It was pretty full due it almost being sunset and the city lights seeming like stars.

Suga turns to you, smiling. "Want to take a picture together?"

You nod, and Suga puts his arm around you, pulling you close and you hugged him back. As Suga snaps a photo with his phone, a nice old lady approaches you, smiling. "Would you like me to take a picture of you two together?" she asks.

You exchange a glance with Suga, and he nods. The old lady takes his phone and snaps a few photos of you both, beaming with delight.

As she hands the phone back to Suga, you both thank her, feeling a bit touched by her kindness. She smiles and pats your arm. "My, you two look adorable together, have a wonderful day"

With that, she walks off, leaving you both feeling a bit warm and fuzzy inside. Suga looks at you, blushing a bit.

As Suga scrolls through the photos, a small smile appears on his face. But when he sees one particular picture, his expression changes. It's the one of the ones that the old lady took, where they're standing close together, his arm wrapped around you.

You're both inside the Tokyo Tower, and the breathtaking view of the city stretches out before you. The twinkling lights of Tokyo's skyscrapers and neon signs shimmer like stars, and the city's bustling energy is palpable.

Suga's gaze lingers on the photo, taking in the way you're leaning into him, your face tilted upwards as you gaze out at the stunning view. Your eyes are shining, and your smile is radiant. Suga's heart skips a beat as he takes in the sight and making a mental note to make it his lockscreen. That wouldn't be odd right? After all you guys are close.

As the evening wears on, you and Suga find a spot to watch the sunset together.

The sky is painted with hues of pink, orange, and purple, a beautiful sunset unfolding before your eyes. You and Suga stand side by side, taking in the tranquil atmosphere. Suga glances over at you, a soft smile on his face. You smile back, feeling a sense of comfort and ease in his presence. As the sun dips below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the city, sun's rays reflect on your face, Suga can't help but glance over at you. The warm light illuminates your features, making you look... breathtaking.

Suga's heart skips a beat as he takes in the sight.
as he stands there, lost in the moment, Suga's thoughts begin to wander. He thinks about the feelings he's been having for the past few years that he's tried to ignore, forget, and dismiss. The ones that have been growing stronger with each passing second he is with you.

He always tried to ignore Daichi's and Asahi accusations, but as much as he hated to admit it...They were right.

Change POV: 3rd person

There were days those feelings would it eat him alive, but he never acted on them or admitted them.

Why? well because he adored her. And admitting his feeling towards her would mean loosing her. And thats something he didn't want.

He thinks about how acting on these feelings could ruin the friendship they shared.

Suga's smile falters, and he looks away, trying to shake off the feelings that threaten to overwhelm him. Taking a deep breath, he accepted that in no universe would she feel the same way.

But as he glances back at her, he can't help but feel a pang of regret. There were time he thought to confess to her, hold her...and kiss her at times but he didnt for the sake of not loosing her. It was a risk, a risk he refused to take.

Suga stood there lost in thought, looking at the view, wondering if there was a chance she felt the same.

But as she stood there next to him, she couldn't help but glance at him as he was deep in his own thoughts. The setting sun casts a warm glow on his profile, highlighting the sharp lines of his face and the soft curve of his lips. How his hair swooshes from the wind.

The view took her breath away, her gaze stood on him for a moment longer. Taken aback by the realization that shes admiring him in a way she had never done before, she couldn't  help it though. He looked…breathtaking.

Change in POV: 2nd person

A part of you tries to brush it off, telling yourself you're just being silly. But...you couldn't help but want to glance back and admire him, you just couldn't.

You refuse to assume what you were feeling. You couldn't fall for your childhood bestfriend. He's just a friend to you, and you're just a friend to him, and thats all you were.

Just a friend.

As the sun dips below the horizon, the Tokyo lights flicker to life, casting a magical glow over the city. You check the time and realize you have a few hours to spare before heading back to the training camp.

You think back to the places you've visited earlier in the day, and a sudden idea strikes you. "Hey, Suga, want to go back to that bookstore we visited earlier?" you ask, a thoughtful expression on your face.

Suga raises an eyebrow, intrigued. "Sure, why though?" he asks.

You smile. "I wanted to buy another book"

Suga nods, and you both head back to the bookstore, strolling through the quiet streets as the Tokyo lights twinkle around you.

As you browse through the shelves, Suga finds a book on some sort of literature, and you pick up the novel you were eyeing earlier. You both spend a few minutes reading and chatting, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the bookstore.

You towards the romance section, where you first spotted "The Love Hypothesis", with Suga following behind. As you scan the shelves for the other book you were eyeing, Suga follows suit, picking up a few titles and examining them with interest. You feel a flush rise to your cheeks as you take in the cover of the book Suga's holding. It's another smut book, one that's even more explicit than "The Love Hypothesis". You can't help but wonder if Suga knows what he's picked up and if hes picking them up on purpose, or if he's just browsing blindly.

'Is he actually interested in this type of book?' You can't help but feel a little... intrigued.

You can't help but stare at Suga, your mind reeling with questions: 'Whatkindofpersonishe? There's no WAY he actually reads books like that'

He seems so innocent, just so...pure looking? He's the last person you'd think would be interested in explicit books.

You feel a little shaken, like your perception of Suga has been turned upside down. You think back to all the times you've hung out, all the conversations you've had. He's always been so kind, so genuine...apart from the times hes dragged you to private property and got you caught and arrested that one time.  You can't picture the idea of him reading smutty books. The math was NOT mathing guys.

Suga glances at the book in your hand, his eyes scanning the cover before looking back up at you. "Hey, can I borrow that?" he asks, his voice casual.

You're taken aback, unsure of how to respond. You didn't expect him to ask to borrow the book, especially after seeing the smutty book he was just holding.

"Uh, sure," you stutter, handing over the book.

"Haunting Adeline" He whispers the title once he takes it from you, flipping through the pages before settling in to read. You watch him, still feeling a little shocked.

As he reads, his expression is unreadable, his eyes scanning the pages with interest. You can't help but wonder if he'd actually buy it or if he would even finish it.

The atmosphere feels a little awkward, with Suga reading the book and you standing there, unsure of what to do.

"This is interesting" He speaks up with an innocent like smile. Suga hands it back as if he didn't have a freaky dark romance book in his hands.

You take the book back from his hands, feeling a little shocked. "Interesting?" you repeat, trying to gauge his reaction.

Suga smiles in response, his expression cheerful. "Yeah, lt seems interesting. I Might get it," he says, his tone light and casual.

You're not sure what to make of his response. 'Might get it?! what chapter did he read?'

You both head to the counter, books in hand, and wait in line to pay. Suga chats with the cashier, asking about her day, while you stand beside him, lost in thought.

As you're waiting, Suga turns to you and starts talking about the book he bought. "I saw this one book about..." he begans, a grin spreading across his face. As he starts describing the book, your eyes widen when you realize that it sounds very familiar - too familiar. It's a book you've read before, one that's definitely not innocent.

So you stand there, frozen, as Suga continues to chat about his book. You nod along, trying to appear nonchalant, but inside, your head was a mess and praying that wasn't the book he got the first time they came by, although up to this point, you wouldnt doubt it unfortunately. Maybe he aas messing with you! But then again…How the hell did he know about what happens in the book?! You decided to just not think about his book interest and walk out the store, with him following behind of course.

As you step out of the bookstore, the cool evening air envelops you, along with the distant hum of the city. You look up at Suga, feeling grateful for this chance to spend time with him.

"What's next?" Suga asks.

You glance at your watch, realizing that it's almost time to head back to the training camp. "I guess we should head back," you say, a hint of reluctance in your voice.

- - - -

You approach the dorms of the training camp, the night filled with the sounds of crickets and rustling leaves. As come in the building, you get hit with a sense of relief making your way to your own dorm, excited to read your new books, just then you get a sharp pain in your stomach. All the spicy food you had ate that day had finally catched up to you, unfortunately so you rush to the bathroom and throwing it all up.

You couldn't help but laugh as you were kinda expecting the consequences sooner or later, but then you got a bit upset. "Man, what a waste," you say as Suga peaks his head with concern, "You okay?" he asks as he hands you a water bottle in hope of helping in some way. "I'll be back, Ill go make you something," with that, Suga leaves you in the bathroom again. You brush your teeth and then drink the water he gave you, which didn't help much cause you were hungry again now.

You go back to your room and plop down on your bed, just the Suga peaks his head inside "Im back, here. It's pretty hot." You take the cup from his hands and thank him.You decide to hangout in your room and read for a bit. Suga follows you in and plops down on the bed, leaning against the headboard. You sit down beside him, opening your book and getting comfortable. Suga starts flipping through his own book, the one he bought earlier. As you continue reading, you get to a rather... steamy chapter, and you can't help but feel a little self-conscious that Suga is literlly beside you.

Suga's eyes occasionally drift over to your book, trying not to be obvious, but he's curious. He catches a few sentences here and there, and his expression remains neutral. He doesn't want to give away that he's been sneaking peeks at your book. You, on the other hand, are completely oblivious, too caught up in the story. As you turn the page, Suga's eyes follow, his gaze scanning the text. He raises an eyebrow slightly, but his expression remains calm. You start to feel a bit more at ease, thinking that Suga has no idea what you're reading. But little do you know, he gets a pretty good idea so he makes a mental note to try and get his hands on the book or similar one once you're back in Miyagi.

As Suga continues reading, he starts to feel a subtle shift in his emotions. He's trying to focus on the words, but his mind keeps wandering back to you, and the book you're reading. He starts to feel a little... heated, and he knows he needed to get out of there before things get any more awkward for him. He tries to compose himself, but it's no use. "Hey, I'm gonna head back to my room," Suga says suddenly, closing his book and standing up. You look up at him, slightly surprised. "Oh, okay. Everything alright?" Suga nods, trying to play it cool. "Yeah, just falling asleep thats all." You nod, and Suga quickly makes his escape, making a hasty retreat to his own room. As he closes the door behind him, he lets out a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.

Y/n's POV

As I settle back into my book, or I tried, I started to realized that...my feelings for Suga went beyond than just caring about him as a close friend. I always enjoyed spending time with him because it was him. I mean sure, hes a nice person so who wouldn't want to?

But...it was different than how I saw my other friends like Daichi and Asahi. It was a type of admiration that gives you butterlfies everytime they talk, laugh, and exist around you.

I couldn't deny it. But I couldn't accept it either. It felt...wrong. I

Suga's POV

I lie in bed, staring up at the ceiling as I try to calm down. Seeing Y/N read that book had unsettled me, but it's not the explicit content that's got me feeling this way, I honestly couldn't care less about it. It was her.

The thought of confessing my feelings to her was terrifying and I know It's not really a good time to pour all of this on her if I ever did confess to her considering she's going through a breakup.

I let out a deep breath. I've had feelings for Y/N for what feels like an eternity - since middle school or elementary to be exact. But I've never had the courage to act on them, and I always tried ignoring them in hopes that they would go away. But it was no use.

I tell myself it's because of her recent breakup, that she needs time to heal and move on. But deep down, I know that's just an excuse. The truth is, im scared of rejection, scared of loosing the person who's important to me.

So I'll just keep my feelings hidden because, we are just friends. And that's all I'll be to her.

Chapter Text

Next day. Y/N POV

I was eating breakfast with the rest of the team next to Yachi, it was around 9 in the morning when my phone started ringing followed by a message reading ‘ can we talk?’ Without reading the number, I already knew who it was.

I didn’t want to pick up, so turned my screen down, i ignored them missed and continued eating.

“So did you go anywhere around Tokyo yesterday?” I asked Yachi. I was curious since she did mention that she had quiet fun hanging out Hinata and Kageyama due to their bickering and chaos. But ive also noticed shes been really smiley around Hinata lately, so now I wanna know the tea.

“Huh? Oh um yeah we went to the arcade and-“ Unfortunately, it started ringing again, “Sorry, Yachi. I guess I have to get this”

“It’s fine really” she said.

I let out a sigh, frustration etched on my face. "Excuse me for a sec," I said to Yachi, getting up from the table.

I grabbed my phone and stepped outside, the sudden change in environment a stark contrast to the warmth of the breakfast gathering. As I walked a short distance away outside the building, I answer the call.

"Hello?," I say, in a bit of confusion.

~ 3rd person~

"I miss you." Y/N's grip on the phone tightened, her mind going blank. She didn't know how to respond. The line was silent for a moment, with only Matsukawa's steady breathing on the other end.

"I...," Y/N started, but her voice trailed off. She didn't know what to say.

Matsukawa repeated, "I miss you." Y/N's thoughts swirled with emotions, memories of their past interactions flooding her mind. Specifically, the pain of his infidelity still lingered. She bit her lip trying not to tear up as the flashbacks came to her.

She finally found her voice, but it was cautious. "What do you want?"

There's a long pause before Matsukawa responds, his voice filled with emotion. "I'm serious. I miss talking to you, hearing your voice...just being around you."

Y/N's silence was her response, unsure of how to process Matsukawa's words after everything that happened between them.

“No, you don’t” She said. She didn’t want to go back and fall for whatever this was.

“What?” was all that came from him, confused.

"Was she not tight enough for you? Is that why you’re calling me?" she snapped, her voice laced with sarcasm and anger.

Matsukawa's voice was taken aback, shocked by her words. "Y/N. That's not what this is about."

Y/N's voice dripped with sarcasm and lusty undertones. "You sound very needy. Is it because your girlfriend broke up with you? Were you not enough for her? Go stick your dick in someone else."

“Y/n…just listen to me, please" Matsukawa said, his voice cracking with desperation.

Y/N's tone was cold, “go fuck yourself"

The line hung silent for a moment, before Y/N hung up the phone, leaving Matsukawa's pleas unanswered.

Y/N sighed and looked around her small room in the training camp, feeling restless and trapped. The team's luggage was already packed, and everyone was getting ready to board the school bus that would take them back to Miyagi. The Tokyo training camp was coming to an end.

She glanced at her phone, which she had put on silent mode after blocking Matsun’s number. She then hears a knock on the door, Daichi poked his head into the room. "Hey Y/n, you all packed up? Were heading in an hour or so"

Y/N nodded, trying to compose herself. "Yeah, I'm good. Just gathering up my stuff."

Daichi's gaze lingered on her, and he noticed the unfinished food on her desk. "You didn't finish your breakfast. Everything okay? You left in a hurry earlier."

Y/N hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. "I'm fine, Daichi. Just not that hungry."

Daichi's expression turned concerned. "You sure? You look a bit-"

Y/N forced a smile, not wanting to burden him with her boy problems. "I'm good, really"

Daichi's gaze lingered on her for a moment before he nodded. "Alright, if you're sure"

•a couple hours pass•

Its now time to go back to Miyagi, everyone is getting all their stuff ready and saying their goodbyes to Fukurodani and Nekome.

~

The bus ride back to Miyagi was a long one, spanning around 8 hours depending on how slow or the traffic got by the hour. Y/N spent the time bickering with some of the 1st years about who was the fast runner in the team, along with listening to music, and gazing out the window at the passing scenery after half of them fell asleep

As the hours ticked by, the group took breaks at designated rest stops, grabbing snacks and stretching their legs. Despite the occasional traffic jam, the team's spirits remained high after they had woken up from their nap.

As the landscape outside transformed from Tokyo's urban sprawl to Miyagi's rolling countryside, Y/N felt a sense of homecoming wash over her. She was ready to get back home and sleep in her own bed.

As the team poured out of the bus and into the school parking lot, Y/N grabbed her bag and followed the others, stretching her arms and legs after the long ride.

Coach Ukai called out, "Alright, guys. You can leave the extra equipment here, I’ll grab it later. You guys did great so ill gove you guys the next 2 days off. Youre dismissed"

“Thank you!” They all say but are quickly told by Takeda to quiet down since it is almost night.

Everyone walked together until hey went their separate ways. Y/N walked alongside Suga, the two of them falling into an easy silence as they strolled through the fading light of day.

The sky was painted with hues of orange and pink, casting a warm glow over the school grounds. Y/N felt a sense of calmness with Suga, enjoying the quiet company after the long bus ride.

Their walk to y/n’s house was quiet, not much of a conversation like usual since it was a long ride and Suga had just woken up from a nap as well.

As Y/N wrapped her arm under Suga's, she suddenly stops mid-sentence, her gaze fixed on a car parked in the driveway. A sense of unease crept over her as she realized who it might belong to. "No...nonono," she mumbled under her breath, her mind racing.

Suga noticed her distress and asked if she was okay. Y/N forced a smile and lied, saying she was fine. Suga's expression showed he didn't believe her, but he didn't push the issue. Instead, he gave her a gentle hug and bid her goodbye.

Y/N watched as Suga walked away, then turned to face the house. She took a deep breath and cautiously opened the door. Her eyes widened as she saw her father sitting on the couch, her mother beside him.

Her mother's warm smile greeted her, but Y/N's attention was fixed on her father. "What the hell are you doing here?" she spat, her voice cold and venomous.

Her mother's gentle voice tried to intervene,“Hey, lets calm down a bit, please”. But Y/N's shock  was palpable, her mind reeling with memories of the past.

“Calm down? You really expect me to forgive him? You cant be serious” Y/n really thought this was a joke, she wished it was. “Y/n, hear him out. Hes changed”

“Changed?! The only thing that changed is that he’s out of prison.”

Unfuckingbelievable

"And what about what he put yoj through?" Y/N's voice was laced with pain and m frustration. "The way he ignored you, the humiliation, the berating, just everything!? You think I forgot how he made YOU feel? I was 8 mom."

Y/N's eyes flashed with tears as she continued, "You think I can just forgive and forget? He was supposed to be my father and YOUR so-perfect-husband, right? And now you're asking me to forgive HIM?"

"Y/N, sweetie, your father and I have talked about this, and he's truly sorry for his past mistakes," her mother began, her voice soft and conciliatory. "He's been in therapy, and he's working hard to become a better person. He's willing to do whatever it takes to regain our trust and make amends. Can you just give him a tiny chance?"

Her father took a deep breath before speaking up "Y/n. I know I wasn't a good person for both of you but I've had time to reflect on my actions. And I know eveyrthkng i did was wrong and I dont expect you to forgive me but I want to be a part of your life, to get to know you and support you in any way I can."

Y/n's expression remained skeptical, her arms crossed over her chest as she listened to her parents' words. She didn't look convinced, and her silence spoke volumes.

So y/n turned on her heel and walked out of the house, leaving her parents standing in stunned silence. She didn't look back, didn't say a word, as she slammed the door shut behind her.

The cool evening air hit her like a slap in the face, and Y/N felt a rush of relief as she walked away from the tension-filled house. She didn't know where she was going, but she knew she needed to get out.

As she walked, the familiar streets gave way to a more desolate landscape. Y/N found herself approaching the old abandoned park where her and Suga got arrested for trespassing private property. The broken glass and crumbling walls seemed to welcome her like an old friend.

She climbed over the entrance, her feet pounding against the concrete. The firtger she walked, the more the world seemed to fade away. Finally, she reached an old photo booth where she was able to not be seen and just isolate herself.

Y/n took a deep breath, feeling the cool breeze wash over her. She closed her eyes, letting the silence envelop her, and tried to calm the storm brewing inside.

As she sat there, about maybe 40 minutes later, she hears the sound of footsteps cracking over the old concrete outside the booth. Y/N's heart skipped a beat as she hoped it wasn’t another cop again. The footsteps stopped in front of the booth, and a figure hesitated before entering. Y/n put her hand over her mount to not make a sound just in case.

“What are you doing here?” Y/N's eyes welled up with tears as she heard Suga’s voice. y/n shrugged, not sure how to answer. She didn't want to talk about her family drama, not yet, anyway.

Suga sat down beside her, his presence calming, but to be honest, she felt a mix of annoyance, not because she was unhappy to see him, but because she’d been hoping for some alone time to process her thoughts. Well, actually maybe she didn’t really wanna see him but because she wanted to be alone.

Suga's eyes narrowed slightly, a hint of wariness in his gaze as he watched Y/N's sudden departure. He followed her to the old ice cream shop, the creaking of the wooden floorboards beneath their feet echoing through the abandoned space.

Y/N sat behind the counter, her back against the wall, and wrapped her arms around her knees. She rested her chin on her knees, her eyes fixed on some unknown point in front of her. Suga hesitated for a moment before joining her.

"Why are you following me?" Y/N's voice was low, with a bit of annoyance shown, her gaze didn't waver, eyes still fixed on some point in front of her.

"Don’t you remember what happened last time we were here?"

Y/N's expression didn't change, her voice flat. "I could care less if I got arrested” she said as she moved her face away from Sugas direction.

Suga's eyes narrowed, his brow furrowed in concern and confusion. "What's your deal?"

Suga's eyes bore into Y/n's profile, waiting for a response. But she remained silent.

Suga's voice was low and even. "Y/n?"

Y/N mumbled under her breath, "You're so annoying."

Suga was a bit hurt by that comment, “Look, Im just trying to he-“

“Why can’t you just mind your own business and leave me alone for once?” y/n snapped but immediately, her eyes widen in realization, regretting everything. “Wait, I didn’t mean-“ Suga immediately cut her off, getting off the dusty ground.

Sighing in defeat, “You know what, Don't come looking for me" he said, his voice firm. With that, he stood up and walked back home, leaving Y/N sitting alone in the abandoned ice cream shop.

Y/N cursed under her breath, realizing Suga had heard her. " shit ."

She didn't bother looking up, or going after him. The silence that followed Suga's departure was oppressive, and Y/N's emotions swirled in the stillness.

She didn’t mean it, he isn’t annoying to her. She loved his presence.

This was her issue with no communication with him. Often pushing people away to not hurt them but it always backfires doesn’t it? You still hurt them no matter what you try. You always manage to fuck things up. Like always.

She knew he meant it. And as much as she wanted to apologize, it was too late for that at the moment. Would he accept her apology? Would he believe her? Does be hate her now? Tha’td be worse than rejection.

Tears started to run down her cheeks.

As if her day couldn’t get any worse right?

First Matsun calls her forgiveness, then her abusive dad comes home yapping about being a “better person,” and now…shes managed to fuck things up with Suga.

Great going Y/n

Now while Y/n was in her own little depressive world crying. Suga was on his way home, hurt, of course wondering if he was annoying to her.

Soon her phone rings interrupting her thoughts, she wipes her eyes to have a better vision and check who it is.

Her mom's name flashes on the screen.

Y/N's expression softened slightly, despite the tension

She hesitated for a moment before answering the call, her voice cautious. "Mom?"

Her mom's voice was warm and concerned on the other end of the line, "Y/N, I was worried about you. You just stormed out of the house without saying a word. Are you okay? where are you?"

“Im fine, I just wanna be alone.” Y/n whispered, tears trying to come back again.

“But it’s almost like 9:30 at night?..” Her mom paused for a moment, “ sigh You can stay over at Suga’s place if you don’t want to come hom-“

“I can’t…” Y/n voice cracks at bit as she cuts her mom off . “Well why not? did something happened?” Y/n didnt know how to answer, all her mom could hear was y/n’s sniffling from tearing up. “Oh y/n.” Y/n didn’t what else to do or say to her so she hangs up.

She couldn’t go after Sugawara, she didnt have the right. All she was really able to do was cry. How could she not?

Y/n started pacing around the ice cream shop thinking of how to make it up to him. But in her state, she was a mess. She couldn’t even help herself. Cheeks wet from tears and hair was probably a mess as well.

Look what happened when you let your emotions take over you y/n.

Are you happy now?

This is all YOUR fault.

You heard him…

Dont go looking for him.

He hates you

Chapter Text

NEXT DAY:

Y/n wakes up in one of the leather seat booths with her head resting on the leather. It was dusty and a bit windy and the state of the building was more clearer. The windows were broken, the counter was dusty with milkshake cups here and there, leather seats were surprisingly in a good shape except for the graffity on one of the walls. It was like a 90s fast food place where the waitresses had to use roller skates. It looked…nostalgic but creepy in a way.

And it was a school day, it was around 10 am so that mean no school for her. She checks her phone.

She had a few messages from Daichi asking if she was skipping class and her mom asking where she was…but none from Sugawara. She sighs in defeat. she had a headache so she gets up and shakes the dust off her clothes and attempts to brush her hair down with her hands to not look as messy as she probably looked

She walks over to where she came in from and jumps the broken entrance, passing the “Private Property” sign and makes her way to Sakanoshita to get some meds to feel better.

As she arrives, she is seen by coach Ukai who is surprised, confused and concerned at her arrival.

But I mean, she had eyeliner smudged making her look like she went into battle but it was smudged because of her tears. Her hair was still a bit of a mess.

It was how she looked just seemed off from her usual energetic self.

He speaks up after scanning her figure “Geez what happened to you? dont you have school?”

“Long night I guess” she says in a soft but tired voice, not sparing him a glance. She grabs her meds and pays.

“Here” Coach Ukai offers her a free meat bun “no thanks, im fine. I dont much on me right now anyways”

“Have you ate anything?” He asked a bit concerned but didn’t really want to show it.

“not since yesterdays breakfast” She says barely loud enough for him to fear.

“Jesus. Just take the damn bun, matter of fact, take 2. Ill secretly charge the boys extra for them don’t worry” She laughs a bit and thanks him, eating one of the buns on her way home.

Unfortunately,  her dads car was still on the driveway, she takes a deep breathe and turns the doorknob , walking in. Ignoring their existence she walks to her room and locks the door and collapsing into her bed.

As she charges her phone, she opens her photos and looks at the photos she took with Suga at the tower. She had never felt happier than ever that day with him. Specially when they went on top of the Tokyo tower and watched the sunset.

She remembered the feeling she got as she admired how breathtaking he looked . Just…pure butterflies. She didn’t want to accept it. But as she looked back at everything. How they met. How the friendship continued and evolved. It hurt her as she realized she ruined it all.

While she silently admires the pictures, she hears a soft knock on the door, she hesitated but gets up and opens the door softly. Without a word, y/n hugs her mom, her mom is a bit taken aback and confused so all she could do was hug her back.

“Y/n, Im sorry about yester-“Her mom speaks up, apologizing about everything that happened the day before. She thought that that was the reason she is crying but y/n cuts her off “Ifuckedup”  y/n mumbles, her voice cracking. She wanted to stop crying she really did. She hated it. She hated how weak and vulnerable she was. She hated she was crying over something she caused.

Over someone she hurt. Someone whom she loves. now deeply

“What? whatare you talking about?” Her mom asks softly in concern.

Y/n attempts to talk about what happened with Sugawara last night in between her tears, while leaving out the fact that she was in the same place she got arrested at.

“And where did this happen?” Her mom asked, although it was probably irrelevant where it happened. It was probably more relevant  where she slept at. “Just on a walk” Y/n though quick. Of course she changed up her story a but for it to fit the setting. Unfortunately, the story had to end the same way.

Her gave her some advice and told her that things like this happen. From her POV it seemed like it didnt seem that big of a problem enough for Suga to end their friendship but y/n thought exactly that. Mom understood because she was once her, so she reassure her and left her to give her some space.

While all this was happening.

Since Y/n didn’t go to school, It was just Asahi, Daichi and Suga. Not their usual fourth person. Asahi had asked Suga where y/n was and if he knew something.

Suga just said had “no clue” and changed the subject by saying he was hungry. Daichi knew something was up so he texted Y/n. Obviously, she didnt answer even after snending a few more messages but she didnt answer. Lunch went by a bit “normal” or maybe unusual. Suga seemed to be more talkative than he usually was when y/n was there. It wasnt that he was glad about her absence. It was a way to cope from the fact that his crush called him annoying and didnt want to show he was bothered. Specially not to these two.

Then comes practice, although coach told them they had a free day or two to rest, some or if mot most showed up anyways (without the coaches knowledge of course). The walk to the gym was lonely. He was always with her and he never thought that had bothered her and now he second guesses himself if maybe he really Is annoying, ‘ Maybe it was my fault’.

He didn’t say much to anyone during practice unless he needed to and only practice on his serving and spiking on his own. Eventually they all decided to wrap it up before getting caught. He was so ready to go eat meat buns and go home like usual.

But…

In the corner of his eye, he saw a girl in the distance who seemed lost. Her hair was long and red hair like a fresh tomato with a hair clip on the left side. Without a thought he walked over to her.

I’ve never see her around He whispered to himself. “Hey, are you lost?” Suga asked in his usual calm voice not trying to startle her.

“Oh. uhm yeah sorta…It’s my first day here and I heard there was a music club here. I just don’t know where it is” She asked a bit embarrassed.

“We have a music club? It should be in the music room so I can just can walk you there if that’s fine.” He explained and offered to lead her to the music club.

It’s not like he had anyone waiting for him in the gates to walk home with anyways.

The rest of the group continued walking, talking amongst themselves as they walked to get some meat buns.

“Hey wait, where did Sugawara go?” Hinata asked as he looked around. The team stops and looks back at him and did notice his silence and now his absence.

“I saw him walk over to some girl with red hair” Kageyama said. “red hair? did y/n dye it or somethi-“ Hinata was about to answer before Kageyama smacked him in the head

“Y/n wasn’t here you dumbass, why do you think she didn’t come to practice today”

“Well SORR-Y for not stalking the whole team your majesty” Hinata mocked kageyama and they started bickering again.

Daichi checks his messages again and sees that his messages are still on delivered since the morning. ”I wonder if something happened to her” Daichi says loud enough for only Asahi to hear. “What do you mean?” Asahi asks, a bit confused.

“I don’t know. Maybe im overthinking things” Daichi sighs. They eventually arrive to Sakanoshitas to get some meat buns.

As they walk in, Coach Ukai signals to Daichi and Asahi to come over to him while the others were too busy looking for snacks.

“Do you guys know whats going on with y/n?” The coach asks, whispering so the others don’t overheat their convo.

Daichi and Asahi look at each other confuse, “What do you mean”

“She came in this morning looking pretty rough. Messy hair, her eyes had like black smudge on them.“ Daichi and Asahi were a bit in shock. What fuck happened after they had arrived from Tokyo?!

“I’ll try to talk to her tonight” Daichi says and he takes a deep breath, hoping shes okay at least or even alive.

As the team is forming by the coach, Daichis takes scans the team as hes waiting for his meat buns but realizes Suga isn’t with them.

“Wait- where’s suga?” He asks

“He left to talk to some girl with red hair” Kageyama replies as he’s taking a bite of his meat buns.

red hair? Daichi thinks to himself a bit confused. As long as he knew Suga, he never released saw him talking to any other girls other than Kiyoko, Yachi and Y/n but thats really it.

The team then all leave to their own separate ways, except Daichi.

It was a bit after sunset, not too bright, not too dark. He checks his phone one more time to see if she had at least left him on read, but it was Still left unopened.

He was a bit skeptical, maybe he was overthinking it, maybe he was worrying too much, pushing it.

should i check on her?’  He had a gut feeling that he should but at the same time, it wasn’t necessary.

As he was about to make a turn to your street, he heard a familiar laugh from behind him accompanied by an unfamiliar girls voice.

“Oh hey Daichi” It was Suga. And a girl next to him, as kageyama described, she did indeed have red hair.

Daichi tenses up before he turns to him and tries to look calm, “Oh, hey” as he greets both of them. “Isn’t your house on the other street” Suga asked, he kinda knew where Daichi was going but didn’t wanna say anything about it. “Oh yeah, just wanted to visit y/n for a bit” Daichi says.

To be honest, this felt a bit awkward for him.  “Anyways, I’ll see you tomorrow “ He didn’t really know what else to say so he tries to continue walking, but he wasn’t actually going to your house now, just walked far enough to where Suga would see him. Since when was he THIS awkward? It was odd.

The atmosphere is odd. Suga’s just seems a but off… But he couldn’t really put a finger on it. The whole day felt off. Not in a bad way, just different…in a way.

As he saw Suga walk far enough with the unknown girl, he just kinda stood there kinda watching them for a bit realized he probably looked like a creep so he continues his wall to his OWN house.

Ending was unplanned so….
