Chapter Text
Probably after the academy, Hinata won’t be surprised when he wakes up not because of the alarm, but from yelling... After waking up with some difficulty, the first thing he realized was that Kenma was gone, and maybe that's why there was such yelling in the kitchen? For a moment, he didn't look, immediately got up, and fell with a crash, tripping over the edge of the blanket, which was already almost on the floor, sprawling on the ground. His nose ached lightly, probably because he hit his head on the floor really hard. The yelling and any sounds from the kitchen stopped, making Shoyo hear his own heartbeat. The door creaked, and someone entered.
The omega hissed quietly, lifting his head towards Kageyama. At first, he was angry, but his emotions immediately shifted when he noticed a thin trickle of blood that was already dripping onto the floor.
“Hinata, you idiot!” He growled and quickly slammed the door shut, though it wasn’t fully closed, making a noise so loud that it probably woke up anyone still asleep.
“What’s that got to do with it? There was no need to shout like that!”
Standing up, he wiped his nose with wet wipes, it hurt so much that even touching it made him wince. Kageyama was saying something in the kitchen, at least not shouting. Was he talking to himself?
Shoyo exhaled and opened the door, stepping into the kitchen, where a piece of frozen meat was immediately handed to him. Hinata looked at Suga in surprise.
“Put it on your nose, so the bleeding stops properly.”
Hinata nodded, blushing slightly, sat down on a chair, tilted his head back, and applied the cold to his nose. Suga sat nearby, looking still sleepy.
“What happened this morning?” Seeing Kageyama turn towards him, Shoyo lifted the burnt toaster with the cord.
“No idea, I came into the kitchen and someone had already burned it.” He started grumbling, frowning even more.
Hinata giggled, then immediately winced, clutching his nose. Even laughing hurt. Then, from the other floor, running could be heard, and a disheveled Noya rushed into the kitchen, breathing heavily.
“My bread!”
Kageyama grimaced and gripped the toaster tightly. He crookedly smiled and threw it at the guy, but Nishinoya jumped back, as if scalded. Shoyo flinched, and the toaster broke into pieces after hitting the stairs.
“Is this normal?” Hinata asked with a trembling voice, looking at the overly calm Suga. Was he under something calming?... Noya had already run upstairs, but probably bumped into a door, and it turned out that Tsukishima came out in response to the shouting.
“Yeah... many here are used to it.” Suga smiled, almost falling asleep at the table. Hinata put the meat down and exhaled heavily. He had really slept well.
Returning to his room, he looked at the time. At this hour, he usually gets dressed and goes for a run with Kageyama. But the latter was probably too busy killing Noya-san... After a shower, he wanted to put on some aftershave but remembered his scent shouldn’t stand out because of Daichi-san. By the way, I wonder how Daichi will talk to him after yesterday? But now wasn’t the time to think about that. He fixed his hair and calmly left the shower, heading towards his room.
The kitchen was empty by now, everyone was probably on the second floor. Shoyo dressed normally and left the dorm. He stepped outside calmly, standing for a bit, thinking about who to call with him, or who to wake up at half-past six. Kenma and Kuroo had been online for a while, and he didn’t feel like waking them up...
“Shoyo!”
The guy jumped and turned around. Tendou was approaching with some guy he had never seen before. Tendou, smiling widely, started waving his hands.
“Good morning, Tendou-san.” The redhead started speaking so he wouldn’t address him so formally. “Good morning to you too.”
Shoyo didn’t pay attention to the older one’s words and turned to the other guy, a little behind Tendou. He blushed slightly and avoided looking at the redhead, nodding in greeting. If this was true, then this little guy was an omega, and he was even human.
“Nice to meet you, Shoyo. This is Semi-Semi. Semi-Semi, this is Shoyo.” The guy introduced them with a smile.
Semi clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes.
“I’m Semi Eita. Nice to meet you.” He extended his hand for a handshake.
“Hinata Shoyo. Likewise, Semi-san.” Shaking his hand in response, he smiled, his cheeks slightly reddening, probably from the cold.
Tendou frowned, not quite understanding why. He took Shoyo by the arm, taking the redhead from Semi.
“You’re going for a run, right? Come with us?” Shoyo nodded, and after stepping back, started running alongside them. Both were arguing about something, and Shoyo just laughed, thinking it was good he wasn’t running alone.
“By the way, are your parents coming here soon?”
Tendou groaned and nodded, his mood darkening as he remembered the last calls with his father.
“And your parents?”
Semi didn’t really know much about the guy. He even doubted if he was really an omega or a human... Shoyo paused for a moment, he hadn’t thought about that. He would like to see his family, but they couldn’t come here.
“They won’t be able to. Mom’s always working. And she won’t leave my sister alone.” Shoyo didn’t want to say where his father was, what’s the point. He hadn’t seen him since his sister was born, he left as soon as she got sick... After that, he didn’t want to have kids, and now, to top it off, he would be the one to give birth... The guys understood it was better not to ask about his father, so they just stayed silent.
“I think you’d like to go to them, right?” Tendou looked at Semi with confusion, as did Shoyo.
“Well, it would be pretty hard...” Shoyo slowed down, lost in his thoughts.
“Many can at least go home for the weekend here.”
Tendo sighed heavily, realizing that he wouldn’t be able to explain to Hinata why he couldn’t go. But Hinata was too quiet.
The guys remained silent for the rest of the journey, each lost in their own thoughts.
But when they were approaching the dorm, they spoke one last time.
"See you, Shōyō." Tendo hugged him one last time. Shōyō wasn’t too surprised, only blushing a little. Meanwhile, Semi got lost in his thoughts.
The omega said his goodbyes and began walking to the dorm. He hoped everything would be calm there. At first, he climbed the stairs, looking down at the floor, so he didn’t notice Kuroo already running towards him with open arms.
"Shōyō-kun!"
Kuroo almost knocked him off his feet as he began hugging him. Shōyō barely managed to keep his balance, trying to push the cat-like face away.
Behind him, Bokuto and Atsumu were standing. They were both initially surprised, but when they saw Hinata, they immediately approached.
"Kuroo-san... Please, stop." Kuroo began to whimper. He was starting to feel happy now that Shōyō was calling him by his name.
"Hi, Hinata!" A second later, Bokuto came over and hugged both boys. Now, Kuroo and Bokuto were standing there, gasping for air.
It was only then that the omega noticed that Bokuto was much bigger than Kuroo. From the comparison, he started to think less about their bodies and more about something else. His face immediately flushed, and he quickly pushed those thoughts aside as he broke free from the two’s embrace, letting out a sigh of relief.
"And hello to you all." Finally, he noticed Atsumu, who was standing a bit farther away, waving and smiling at the ginger.
Shōyō remembered that he was actually heading to his room. Apologizing to the others, he immediately made his way there.
Thank goodness it was quiet in the dorm. In the kitchen, he ran into Yamaguchi, who was already gathered and calmly finishing his food.
"Hey, Yamaguchi." Shōyō got closer and sat down, resting his head against the wall.
Yamaguchi nodded and smiled at him.
"What are you two still doing here?" Tsukishima walked into the kitchen, looking as calm as ever.
Shōyō shrugged and touched his nose; it hurt.
---
"I think our group is getting a bit bigger after the third class," Shōyō said as he stood by the window, watching Kuroo, who was playing something on his phone. Kuroo stood next to him, hugging the omega’s shoulders and resting his head on top of his.
Yaku was constantly hovering around them. He’d stand by them for a few minutes, then disappear, only to return after a while.
Yamaguchi, as usual, smiled and shrugged. Tsukishima couldn’t take it anymore, especially with Kuroo in the group...
"I’m sure it’ll get even bigger." Yaku was now standing on the other side of Hinata.
The person sighed heavily. He still wasn’t fully used to how Yaku appeared out of nowhere...
Kuroo looked at Yaku, who seemed a bit upset about something. He smiled and lifted his head.
"Alright, I’ll go first. See you, everyone." He casually ran his hand along Shōyō’s thigh and moved up to his appealing butt, giving it a little pinch. Then he quickly left.
Yaku was the only one who noticed, and he couldn’t understand what just happened.
Shōyō flinched, covered in goosebumps, his face turning bright red.
"Shōyō, are you okay?"
Kenma pulled away from the game and looked at the guy, who nodded, trying to hide his shyness.
The others didn’t stay long. Everyone scattered to their classrooms.
The most interesting thing probably happened at practice. Daichi kept watching the omega, whether he realized it or not, no one could understand.
Shouyo just averted his gaze and tried to focus only on the game.
Kageyama was on edge all day, probably because of the toaster.
At that thought, Hinata chuckled, startling Yamaguchi, who was standing nearby.
The practice itself went smoothly, even too smoothly. Hinata started playing a bit easier, his reflexes improving tenfold. Many, by the way, unconsciously started staring at the omega’s body.
His thighs, butt, and chest had become more rounded. Due to the sweat after the match, his sportswear clung to his body, making him even more attractive.
Tsukishima threw his hoodie over him and left immediately.
Shouyo wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked at his back, not understanding why.
But it wasn’t until later, when he saw himself in the bathroom mirror, that he understood why everyone had been looking at him so strangely.
The soft scent of vanilla calmed Shouyo, and that night, he immediately found the coach and asked for a bigger size uniform. Thankfully, they gave it to him without question...
At first, Hinata planned to go back to the dorm, but then he remembered the conversation about how great it would be to go home and see his family...
He couldn’t think of a better solution than to go to the principal. Who else would he go to...?
Standing outside his office, he wondered how to say everything.
He knocked on the door, and was immediately told to enter.
"Been a while since you came by," the principal said, writing something on paper and then looked at the omega, inviting him to sit down.
"Yeah... I just didn’t see the point in coming..." The man in front of him put down the papers and looked at him.
"You didn’t come here just for nothing, right?"
Shouyo nodded and sat properly.
"Theoretically... is it possible for me to go home for a day? To see and talk to my family...?"
The principal hummed and shrugged.
"I think not. You remember those documents."
"So there’s no way at all? You can even bug me if you want..." He snorted at his words. He would let him go, but if someone found out about it, it could cause problems.
Then something suddenly came to his mind.
"I have an idea..."
---
Before the practice match against "Fukurōdani", everything was calm and quiet.
"Karasuno" was training well, and school was going as usual—boring. Well, at least Kuroo and Kenma didn’t let him get bored. A few times, they invited Tsukishima to play again at night. But after Daichi found out, everyone got it...
Before the match, Shouyo decided to go to the store. He wanted something to eat before it...
Of course, the machine with his favorite buns was broken, so he had to go to the store.
There weren’t many people in the store, so he quickly bought some food and sat on a bench near the academy.
"Human."
The guy almost choked, standing in front of him was Sakusa. He was, as usual, wearing a mask and had a frown on his face...
Shouyo cleared his throat and looked at him, wondering what he even wanted from him.
"Yeah, hi to you too." Sakusa snorted and sat not far from the omega. Shouyo finished his last bite and waited to hear what this guy would say.
"You’ve got some strange blood."
With a poker face, he was looking somewhere ahead. Shouyo paused at those words, wondering when he had even let him try his blood? As soon as he wanted to ask, Sakusa continued.
"Honestly, human blood always tastes disgusting to me. I only drank it when I felt really bad." His face was completely unreadable.
Others, on the other hand, could even attack someone if they got hurt, but not him?
"So, even if someone got hurt in front of you, or there were a lot of people, you wouldn’t want their blood?"
Sakusa nodded slightly. In essence, he was right. That was how it was. He had excellent self-control when it came to that damn human blood.
"But your blood is completely different." The guy furrowed his brows, still looking ahead, but not at the person.
"Yeah. And what do you want from me?" He was already a bit tired, with a match coming up soon, and here he was, listening to some emotional trauma.
Sakusa flinched at the question and looked seriously at the omega.
"Let me try your blood." Hinata tried not to laugh, but it was clearly not going well...
"And what else? Should I kiss you too? How does your soul feel about that? Do you even have one?" The last words Shouyo purred, smirking, and suddenly leaned toward the alpha’s face. The latter quickly recoiled, his wide eyes clearly showing he was in shock.
Maybe the company of Bokuto, Kuroo, and Atsumu was affecting him poorly.
Sakusa was glad he was wearing a mask, so his red cheeks couldn’t be seen.
"No. That’s disgusting. It’s even repulsive to think about." He was lying; he had thought about it several times but tried to push those thoughts away.
Hinata scoffed and returned to his previous spot, a little disappointed.
"It’d be kinda weird to just give you blood like that... oh, I have an idea!"
Hinata’s eyes lit up. He had just remembered how the director said he could let him go home, but only if he was accompanied by someone from the vampire academy.
Shouyo thought for a long time. He could take Kenma or Kuroo, but he was a bit worried about the humans. But here was an actual vampire who didn’t really like humans or blood, falling into his trap.
"And what’s that idea?" Shouyo smiled, looking at him.
"I’ll give you my blood. And after tomorrow, you’ll come with me to the city to see my family. The director agrees with this. So, are you in?"
Shouyo extended his hand, but after a few minutes, he wanted to pull it back, remembering that Sakusa didn’t like touching anything.
"I’m in." But Sakusa caught his hand and shook it, without even flinching.
He didn’t stay much longer and stood up, saying he would find him later. Shouyo was a little shocked by everything, but extremely happy.
Sakusa stared at his hand for a long time, wondering why he didn’t feel any disgust when touching it...
