What to Expect When Your Parents Don’t Know You Exist

Summary:

This fic is genuinely crack and for sillies and goofs. Don’t worry about it lol 💀This will follow the chapter structure for Grian’s Pov/What to Expect When You’re Not Expecting by Screaming Fangirl. Genuinely will make no sense without that context.

So that was cool.

Chapter Text

Days went by quickly. There was a lot of commotion happening outside, she was sure of it. But it was hard to really gather what exactly was happening. Fighting, maybe?

and then suddenly she was jolted with a brief pain and everything outside sounded a little different. Had they. . . gone somewhere new?

Chapter Text

The outside world was. . . confusing. She was still getting used to it all. But it seemed outside a lot was going on. She couldn’t really understand what, though.

A few weeks went by and she could finally hear just a little bit of the world around her. It turns out that her world was a person . That… made a lot of sense actually. They were called Grain? Grian? It was hard to hear properly. But this person was her creator, she realized. And maybe it was time they started acknowledging her properly. She just wasn’t sure exactly how to let them know she was here. They seemed very preoccupied with a bond breaking (whatever that meant).

Maybe there were some things she could try to get some attention around here.

Chapter Text

Making the creator sick didn’t work. They still didn’t know she existed. Or maybe they did no, and just didn’t say anything? That was possible. But there’s another voice, a deep rumbling voice from somewhere outside that sounds so nice. And there was another rumbling noise, but it doesn’t sound human. She thinks she heard that noise be called ‘Jellie?’ She still was yet to figure all that stuff out.

Whatever her creator was eating was really good . That’s all she really new. This sweet stuff was incredible! She wanted more! She hoped maybe they would take the hint. Maybe this would be the acknowledgment she wanted so badly.

Chapter Text

Her creator, who she was sure was called Grian by this point, was still getting sick a lot. It’s not like she was making him sick on purpose. Or well, not entirely on purpose. She didn’t have full control over everything in her little world, but it seemed she had some sort of influence. When she wanted more of that sweet stuff, she could think really hard about it until her creator finally caved and gave her some. She was honestly annoyed that wasn’t all Grian ate, quite honestly. She would be more than happy to only have the sweet jam.

Chapter Text

She still didn’t have a full understanding of what exactly her creator’s emotions or motives or actions were. She was annoyed just by hard it was to tell. There was this big cushiony pillow-thing blocking her way from the side that seemed to have the most stuff going on. It was the same big cushion that was attached to her tummy via her cord. She didn’t know what exactly all the stuff around her did, but if it meant she couldn’t get better access to what was going on with her creator, she was mad.

He sure was yelling a lot, though. The creator’s voice was always a louder than all the other voices, but his voice seemed even louder than normal. Like he was… upset? She wasn’t sure about what, though. Maybe the creator was also upset about the cushion blocking her way. That had to be it.

Her creator’s heart rate was going wild. She knew that, at least. She could feel it thumping way faster than normal anyway. She didn’t really know what that meant, though. All she knew was she wanted more of that sweet jam stuff and she was being denied! Denied! Incredibly rude! She gave a quick kick downward, hoping she’d hit that spot that seemed to get some sort of movement out of her creator.

Nothing.

Maybe next time.

Chapter Text

Finally. Finally.

Her creator, the one called Grian, finally indulged her with plenty of sweets. Were they called cookies?

The deep rumbly voice she enjoyed so much was back. He was chatting along about lots of things she couldn’t exactly make out, but he must have been the one to give her creator all the sweets.

She liked this voice a lot. Maybe the most. Except of course her creator’s voice. But the deep rumbly voice was a good second choice. She hoped her creator would spend more time with this voice.

At least for the chance at more of those sweet sweet cookies.

Chapter Text

Something was wrong. Definitely wrong.

She felt her world on fire. There was a brief flash of nothing before waking up to some awful kind of pain she had never felt before. And then it happened again and again and suddenly it was the fourth time it had happened and she was fed up!

She kicked against the walls furiously. Whatever Grian was doing, he needed to stop it! He must have listened, because she went a while without feeling that awful sensation again. She was just starting to calm down when she felt the creator’s heartbeat pulse rapidly around her before suddenly.

NOT AGAIN!

She was really getting sick of all this commotion. What happened to a peaceful day sat right next to that soothing voice she loved and getting to taste those sweet ‘cookies?’ She wanted that again! There was a new sensation of falling, like her creator was getting ready to land after flight. But when had he started flying?

“GRIAN!” voices yelled from all around. That soothing voice was here. Scar. But he was… scared?

Yep. Something was totally and utterly Wrong.
