Chapter 1: Who?
Chapter Text
"You what?"
She was flabbergasted, the pale hand of her girlfriend that was absently running trough her hair has stopped, letting know that Divina was in shock too. The couple sat motionless in front of their friend who started to squirm under their scrutiny but ultimately stayed silent.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Yoko frowned, Divina was now looking at her concerned and she felt her hand slide into hers. It was not a regular thing for Yoko to be mad, much less with Enid, it seemed the vampire had a soft spot for the werewolf.
"Yoko i think-" Divina started, but Yoko was hurt.
"No, i want to hear why. I though we were best friends" she huffed.
"Just, calm down a second, im sure there is a reason."
"Well i want to hear it"
They both turned to the other side of the table to see the blonde just watching them bickering silently, before tensing up once again when she noticed their looks.
"Okay, i can explain..."
"The do so" she gritted out.
Enid sighed, apparently knowing that there was no scaping this, she reached out to let her phone over the table before thinking where to start.
"So... It was nothing serious at first, im kind of ashamed about that"
"What do you mean?" Divina said looking confused.
"Well, remember the day you both ditched the group to go on a date?" at their nods Enid continued, "After being locked in Ajax's appartment we went to the park the one with the big trees and the duck fountain and we had just ate a huge ice cream cause Xavier had burned his mouth with the take-out and—"
"Enid, concentrate"
"Oh yeah! so, we were playing truth or dare and bianca gave me this nasty dare where i had to ask out someone from the park. At first i asked her out because i though she would say no, but somehow she said yes and so yeah, we kinda ended up dating after that." Enid smiled bashfuly at her friends while Yoko was mentaly hitting her head in the table.
Yoko groaned because what Enid recountered told her almost nothing, besides her, her girlfriend was deep in thought, "Wait, wasn't that like three months ago?"
Enid sucked at her teeth "No?" avoiding the couple's eyes.
"Oh my god"
"Okay yeah, i fucked up, i forgot to tell you. But you can't be mad at me, how many dates do you guys went before telling me?"
At that the couple turned their heads away. "That's what i thought"
Yoko was struggling, yes she hadn't told Enid either when she started going out with Divina, but Enid knew that Yoko had a massive crush in the siren, she was gonna tell her, but Enid had caught them kissing after one of their dates and she had to do a lot of explaining.
The tension cleared up, they were even and calmly went back to sipping on their beverage, oblivious to the looks they had gathered from the coffee shop because of their drama.
"So..." Divina started again, this time there was a soft smile on her lips, presumably excited about the gossip. "How come we haven't meet her?"
Now this, Yoko was interesed. She needed to know if this mistery person was enough for her pup. "Well, she likes her space. She's not really a people person i guess." The soft tone in her voice made it clear that Enid didn't had a problem with it, even though they both knew the blonde was one of the most extrovert people in earth.
Yoko snorted, "So u ended up adopting an introvert?" she felt her girlfriend's elbow dig into her ribs, followed by a frown. The vampire relented, "Can you tell us about her, how did you guys actually meet?" genuin curiousity filtering in her voice.
Enid beamed at her, and threw herself into a full-out rant about her apparent girlfriend.
Enid's face was red as she raced down the street, it was no the usual run she always did to get to work early, but a run that said 'i have too much sugar in my blood and i don't know what to do' her arms were flapping at her sides as if she would take fly and she was wheezing.
She was welcomed by the cute branch arcs of the park as she almost dropped herself over the sidewalk, it was not until thirty second later that an out-of-breath Kent tripped over himself before her, his hand was reaching out to the entrance.
"I.... won..." Kent said, and Enid swears she almost get wiplash at how fast she turned her head.
"No way!"
"Well, i am on the line"
She sputtered as the other part of their group arrived.
"I call bs, i got here first" Enid turned around to look at Bianca who at this point was watching them with a bemused face, "Tell him!" She squealed.
The siren as insufferable as always looked at the floor where Enid was laying, just two feet away from the line of the entrance of the park, "Sorry babe, you did said 'The first to enter the park wins' And technically, you are not in the park" behind her Ajax snorted as Xavier almost chockes with the ice cream he was holding against hi mouth.
Enid, with no really annoyance about the whole thing only grumbles before getting up, following her friends into the park, no one says nothing when Kent stays in the ground. They did come back for him later tho, he was already asleep and Ajax had to drag him across the pavement, ignoring the weird looks he recieved from passersby, it was only fair.
The day was starting to become a night so the place was mostly alone, not counting the stoners at the far end of the trees, they laughed and joked. At some point Ajax had chucked Xavier into the pond. Now they sat lazzily at one of the pinic tables around, playing a game of truth or dare, (Dare most often than not cause no one really wanted to stand up) so Enid was getting a bit bored.
Her energy reserves were already full again, her body almost buzzing in place, so when Biancas asked her 'Truth or Dare' she probably should've stayed silent. But... she didn't.
"Fuck it" Enid murmured, Kent who was almost passed out in the grass opened his eyes to lood around, "Dare, i choose dare"
Maybe it was the cold weather, or the devil-ish smile that sprouted in Bianca's face, but a shiver ran down her back.
"You...." The siren said, looking around the park for a good enough dare. Her blue eyes sweeped around and her brows creased, until they stopped right over Enid's shoulder, "You have to ask one of these strangers out" the girl said as she motioned all around.
"That's fucked up" murmured Ajax from his side of the table, but did nothing more.
"Yeah, im not doing that" Enid crossed her arms, "its not funny to play with someone's feelings"
"Its not like they would say yes, if someone approached me in this really creepy place i would say no, no matter how good they look"
"Ah, so you just want someone to think im creepy"
"Isn't that the sense of the game? Doing embarrasing things? Its not like you'll ever see them again" Bianca huffed "But if you're a chincken, then there is nothing to do" she shrugged, "Let go home already" She made to get up but was stopped by Enid slamming her hand in the table.
Xavier snickered behind his arm, Bianca had succesfuly gotten under Enid's skin.
As the blond stood up with a determined face, Ajax extended his arm to her, "You don't have to do it bro, just ignore her." He said, "I think she's still salty about, Xavier getting someone before her" he supplied with a cheeky smile.
The frown in Enid's face softened at that, "Its okay, i can take a rejection. Plus i think that'll make her feel better" Ajax laughed and dropped his grip in her hand before shouting after her a 'You can do it, tiger', Kent was gaping at her from the floor, still half dead.
Now a bit far away from her friends, she stopped a looked around, the stoner's from early were already passed out at their table and she almost cringed from thinking of asking one of the out, she looked around again and noticed a few guys going on a midnight run, Enid didn't wanted to bother them, then her eyes settled in one of the few trees besides one of the lamps.
A solitary girl was standing underneath the stars, black hair in twin braids as dark as the sky above, her head softly looking up as if searching for something, pale skin that dissapeared under a black hoodie that appeared two or three sizes too big. Enid felt her breath hitch as her eyes roamed the almost perfect skin, then a subtle movement later both pairs of eyes meet.
Now, Enid had seen dark eyes, but those? she felt like looking into the void, as if the same light was being sucked into the abyss, and then the moment ended and the girl turned away.
Someone clearing their troath behind her made Enid jump before catching Bianca smirking at her from behind, she shook her body trying to calm herself before approaching. Now being realistic, the girl looked a bit like a crackhead, there were dark bags under her eyes and harp cheekbones, not a single speck of pink in her face.
It almost felt like she was dead to the world. Even with Enid's enhanced hearing, she could faintly hear the really slow heartbeat.
Enid stopped only two feet away, enough for her to flee if something happened, and close enough to be able to smell the earthy smell emanating from the girl, a mix of... dry leaves, recently dugged dirt and... blood.
That made her doubt, a rusty smell, like copper. And before she could actually ran, those eyes were now watching her again, impassive, indifferent, intense. As if she were looking right trough Enid.
The girl watched her silently, waiting for something. Enid didn't know what that was, until the girl tilted her head softly and Enid blushed. The girl was waiting for the seemingly stranger that had approached her to say something, and here Enid was, watching her like a creeper.
"H-hi!" her voice a few pitch higher than usual.
Coal braids swinged softly in the air as the girl turned to face Enid.
"Hello"
Her voice was raspy, like shes been days without drinking water.
"I-i was wondering if...."
"Yes?"
"Hmm" Enid's eyes falled down to her shoes in an anxious display and she swears she heard a scoff before the girl talked again.
"Look up, think before speaking, loud and clear. Out. with. it." her upper lip twitched in a somewhat snarl as she showed a too sharp teeths for a human.
Enid jumped out of her skin, her back ramrod straight and her eyes flew to hers.
"Would you like to go on a date?" her voice was.... too loud and Enid cringed, the spurt of confidence gone as she kept talking "with me, i mean. Like.... y'know" Enid screamed internally and almost missed what the girl said back.
"Wheatervane, tomorrow at eight."
Her eyes did not change, still the unwavering indefference as she turned to the side and with two fingers she whistled, "Wha-" Interrupting Enid a flapping noise was heard, coming closer and closer, until a fucking raven came out of the darkness and stood in the arm of the girl who had lifted it in a 180 angle.
The bird cawed at her, it's beady eyes eyeing her up and down in an uncanny human way. The girl looked at her one last time and her full lips twitched in what Enid could only guess a hint of a smile, before turning around and walking into the shadows of the trees and dissapearing of sight.
"What the actual fu-"

Yoko was rubbing her face exasperated, leave it to Enid to do this bat-shit crazy things. Divina too was silent, gaping at their best friend in a loss of words.
The door of the coffee shop opened with a tinge of the bell, Bianca pushed in as Ajax reached out and stuck the door open as Xavier and Kent rushed inside after the siren, the small group approached the table in which the three friends sat and quickly took over the other half of the chairs. Bianca hummed when no one said anything, eyeing the girls in a silent question because Yoko was fumming at her.
"You are so dead, Barclay"
"Yoko! calm down." Divina snapped at her.
"Wow, that's a new record Bianca, you annoyed Yoko withing thirty second of being here" Xavier said, his eyes on her watch.
"What were you even thinking?!" Oh, Yoko was pissed.
Okay, now they were confused, "Bro, what did you do?" Ajax asked.
"The fuck i know, i just got here."
"Well you had to do something"
Enid was... not mad, but annoyed. She could make her own desicions, why couldn't Yoko trust her judgement? Well... she did ate a whole bar of soap once because it was chocolate flavored, but it was only one time, and she had spit it out afterwards. The blonde huffed, opting to ignore her friends until they all calm down.
Seeing that her girldfriend would not talk coehrently, Divina tried to explain why was Yoko mad. "So, Enid just told us she's dating and-"
"YO! Enid's dating?" Kent said, happy for his friend.
"Who's the lucky guy?"
...
"Girl"
...
"Person?"Ajax shut his mouth after the unimpressed stare Yoko send him.
"Congratulations, Sinclair" Bianca smirked, before she frowned, "wait, what is wrong with that and why is it my fault?"
Now everyone was looking at Enid, and before she could say anything Xavier piped up, "Oh my god, are you dating Bianca's mom?"
"What the fuck, Xavier"
"I mean, i dont judge" he shrugged.
Divina snorted at that, trying her best to stay serious, it was just imposibble.
"I still don't get why is this my fault, i won't call you daddy though..." Bianca grmbled crossing her arms. "Or mommy"
Yoko gagged and Enid huffed one more time, "Okay so, you remember that dare-"
"OH MY GOD, YOU'RE DATING THAT CREEPY ASS GIRL?!" Bianca laughed so hard. She actually started crying.
"SHE'S NOT CREEPY"
"She totally is tho"
"Kent, you are not helping" His sister scowlded.
They all waited for the girls to chill out, bianca brushing off her tears as Enid puffed out her cheeks like an annoyed kid.
"Enid, please don't tell me you actually went on a date with her? i swear she looked like a fucking serial killer" Bianca said.
"I wasn't going to... but it felt wrong to just stood her up y'know?"
The siren sighed, knowing how soft the blonde's heart was.
"Is she nice then? because she sure does not look like it" At seeing the beaming smile Enid gave her she nodded, that was enough for her. "Then im happy for you"
The group exchanged a soft-warming look in understanding. Yoko was in disbelief.
"A FUCKING SERIAL KILLER?"
Ajax cleared his troath "She did looked kind of... off"
The music blared around the house, the smell of booze and weed staining the air as Yoko hummed, her head was resting over her girlfriend's legs as Divina chatted quietly with Bianca besides them.
It was a friday night which Yoko was supposed to be enjoying, yet she found herself irritated and preocupied. Its been a week since Enid had told them she's been dating, but her partner was still a ghost.
A sigh passed trough her lips and apparently she'd been doing that a lot cause Divina's eyes were looking at her in concern, "Are you still worried about that?"
"Kind of? im just worried about her"
Her eyes drifting to the other side of the room where Enid seemed to have had a little bit too much drink.
Her slow movements, unfocused eyes, a hand drapped over Ajax's shoulder who tripped over his own feets. Their voices screaming at 'No lie' Lyrics with Kent rapping the sean paul parts with a killer skill no one knew he had.
"She looks happy tho?"
The vampire mulled voer those words, Enid did looked happy, but she always looked happy.
"Its easy to make Enid happy, y'know how life at home was for her, she'll be happy with the bare minimum"
Divina smiled sadly at her, before she turned at bianca who was chilling at the couch with them, "You actually saw the girl right? how was her?" The siren thought about it.
"I don't think anything i'll say will make you feel better, i didn't even talked with her. But overall? She was creepy, but don't we all? Look at Xavier" She laughed, pointing at one of the walls of the house where the psychic was dangling upside down from the roof lamp. When he was drunk his visions became stronger and weirder, he had said that it was like getting high. His eyes were open bloodshot, but he wasn't awake.
Yoko snorted, before turning back at Bianca "but, she was not like, super old right? or intimidated Enid?"
"She didn't looked old, but she could've easily been a vampire. She was not a normie, i can tell you that much. Short, really short, 5'2 top."
"Omg, that is short. She wasn't like... a kid right?"
The sirens laughed at her face, "No, at least i don't think so, no kid looks that deranged. She had this really deep frown in her face at first, like she wanted to kill Enid only for steeping into her personal space. Then it changed into a blank stare and promptly dissapeared into the woods like some kind of scary movie or some shit"
"That... does not makes me feel better"
Bianca shrugged at her, "Told you, why is she not here anyways? what did Enid said?"
"She said she was busy, and that it'll proably be better to meet her in a more calm space. Like for coffee or something" as he said that a werewolf boy ripped his shirt open and howled at the roof, his coffee colored curls dripping beer over the carpet before running trough the backyard door to where a pool was. "Whats that supposed to mean?" Yoko groaned without missing a beat, she wanted to meet this person, but it didn't seemed like she wanted to meet them.
"So... a prude?"
Divina complained at that, "Hey! there are people who apreciate silence and personal space"
"So... a prude?"
The siren slapped her friend in the forehead before snickering at her, the conversation went into a lighter side, Bianca telling Yoko about the new band she was following, 'Sea of Sirens' which apparently had real sirens singing, and they were having a good time until Divina turned her head to get a look of her brother.
"Where is Enid?"
Yoko was now gesturing with her hands at Bianca talking about the amount of processed food that contained garlic and didn't fucking put a label on it when Divina shook her shoulder, "Where is Enid?" she asked again.
"What" the vampire sat up, looking to where the wolf had been with their friends and only found Ajax passed out in the floor and Kent doing laps around the house dog, which was fucking small and yapping at the guy. "Kent! where is Enid?" The vampire asked, approaching gingerly and turning around to search for the pup.
The siren looked at her with wide eyes and mouth agape, almost ready to un-eat his early lunch, he could feel the alcohol heavy in his stomach. He gagged before he was grabbed from the collar as his leg gave up underneath him, hanging on the only grip the Vampire had on the back of his shirt, "Answer before i make you fish sticks and feed you to Xavier" The siren mumbled something before pointing with his hand at the front door before hanging his head. The vampire cringed before letting go and frowned at the hollow thud that his head made against the floor.
"Div? i think your brother is dead-" She said, eyeing the boy closely, then cringes "Or just tasting the floor." She called out as she started walking to the door, she faintly heard the siren sigh at his sibling.
"Enid! Enid where are you?" Yokocalled out as she came outside, there were but a few groups of friends around, a pair of couples here and there just chilling on a more calm side of the party, she heard the rumbling of a car in front of her and she turned.
The blonde was standing alongside of it before she reached out to open the door and Yoko almost freaks out, here there was her best friend climbing into a stranger's car. "Enid! What are you doing?!" She yelled as she ran to her best friend.
The werewolf hesitated a second before getting in, liftinf her head to look at the vampire and smile at her. "Yoyo!" She called out, lifting her hand to hug her. Yoko was quick to grab her and take a step back.
"Don't Yoyo me, you can't just get into a stranger's car, its dangerous. And you are wasted" She grumbled, having only half mind to care if however was driving the car was listening. "They could kidnap you, or kill you"
"Don't be silly!" Enid laughed "Thing is not a stranger! a killer maybe... but they wouldn't kill me!"
"You fucking know them?" Yoko asked, eyeing the Rolls royce parked in front of them. The vampire bent a bit to try and take a look at the driver and just in the time window rolled down, it was a guy, gray skinned and a half-dead look. As if someone had just dug him up from the cementery or something.
He grunted at her from the inside, fucking grunted.
"Oh no... That's lurch, he's so nice! He was going to give me a ride" Enid said, almost sitting on the floor trying to take a look with Yoko, "Thing is that one" she said, pointing at the top of the car.
Yoko scowlded at the driver who looked like he didn't care and then looked over the car.
"Is that a hand? What- how in the living fuck, IS IT MOVING?!"
The hand, which had the audacity to look ofended twisted a bit a brough out a fucking knife. The thing threatened the vampire with it, getting it closer to Yoko's eyes.
"Don't be rude! Im sorry thing, she's not usually this rude."
"Im the rude one? that thing just pointed a knife at me!" She grunts and she can see the hand shaking, as if laughing at her. She dosen't know how but the hand sees her showing her teeth in a snarl and makes 'No' motion with it's pointer finger, she felt like a kid being scowlded by her father. And Enid is talking about something but she dosen't hear.
"So, i think Yoko is gonna give me a ride now, im sorry. Tell Wends that i'll see her later and thank you!" The werewolf smiles at the thing and the hand does a bow like some kind of gentleman and makes a 'aye aye captn' sign, "Thank you again! Bye lurch" Another grunt is heard as the motor of the car rumbles back to life and as it starts moving the hand gives the middle finger at Yoko from the top of the car, before scurrying inside.
"What the fuck was that?" She screams at them as Enid slides down her side to the floor, yawning.
"Calm down! are we gonna go home now? i think im getting sober and the headaches is not too far away..."
Yoko lifted Enid from the floor hearing the werewof grumble curses under her breath, she hauled the little beast inside the house to get Divina and her keys, all along her mind rounning amok as she made notes of what she knew now of the girl. So her name is Wends... Like Gwen? or Gwendoline?
Notes:
So... Thank you for the kudos! I was hesitant about erasing or not the first part, but then it would've been too short and i think it had a funny part or two so i kept it.

Chapter 3: Skull
Summary:
Breakfast and a ride home.
Chapter Text
The sun peaked over the slightly open curtains, Yoko felt it more than she saw it, the sunlight hitting her pale skin, she groaned, not out of pain but out of discomfort. Opossed to most common beliefs, sunlight did not harmed Vampires, it did however made then antsy, like a soft prickling in their skin. The eyes were a complete different thing, they could end up blind if they looked it without any protection.
"Who in the fuck" She grumbled.
Without opening her eyes Yoko reached out at the night stand besides her, her hand patting down in search of her sunglasses. When she grabbed them a quickly put them, discarding the blindness danger she turned at the window before getting up and closing it. A yawn broke from her as she saw the clock ticking in the far wall, it was far too early in the morning, vampires where supossed to be nocturn.
The smell of burnt butter and soft giggles appeased her annoyance, in that moment didn't matter how early it was she walked excitedly made her way to the kitchen, still groggy and she may have tripped with the clothes that littered the floor. But no one had to know that.
The giggle became louder as she entered the living room and one of them stopped to say, "Oh honey, we woke you up?" the sweet voice of her girlfriend made her want to smile, but how could she pass up the opportunity.
Yoko whined, pushing her brows together in an annoyed frown. Divina the god-send cooed at her offering her arms and as the vampire excitedly dragged herself to the couch to get her cuddles, the werewolf in the kitchen snorted at her.
"You are so full of shit" cackled Enid.
"Shut up" She called from the embrace of the siren "You are just jealous that i get to hug my girlfriend in the morning" She felt a slight slap in her back at that, her girlfriend half heartedly scowlding her.
"And whos fault is that huh?!"
"I did nothin'- you were drunk, don't rememba"
"Yeh sure, keep gaslighting me, see how it goes"
"I was not gonna let u inside that car, who even where they?"
"Wait what car?" Divina pipped from her place in the couch, confused about the whole ordeal.
Yoko's eyes twinkled in the prospect of an ally in the conversation, "Enid was climbing up a weird ass car yesterday, she was drunk and almost let herself be kidnapped by this weird dude, to then be chopped in tiny pieces and sold to a shady chain food"
The siren looked at her distraught girlfriend before turning at Enid with a raised eyebrow.
"Did Ajax gave you something yesterday? Cause i want of what u smoked" Divina snickered at her.
"I was not high, it burns my nose"
Divina sighed, "You knew them? the ones of the car" She asked the werewolf.
"Yeah, i met Lurch from Wends. He drives us sometimes"
"Whos Wends again?"
"Her freaky girlfriend"
"Hey! She's not freaky... well no okay, she totally is. But you haven't even met her" Enid defended.
Yoko was about to complain when she was meet with a very serious Divina, "Yes, dont be rude."
"Well, whos fault is that! she wont appear without a three month notice"
Enid blushed, suddenly aware of what Yoko meant. The siren eyed her "You did invite her yesterday right?"
The silence she was met by was enough response, displeased was short of what Yoko felt. "If you are not safe to invite her to a party how is she not dangerous?" The vampire got up from her girlfriends embrace and walked to where the werewolf was standing betwen the kitchen and the living room "Enid, if she dosen't make you feel safe-"
"No! No, its not that." The blonde sighed, "I didn't invite her cause i know she dosen't do well in crowded places, im sure she would've said yes if i asked her." She appeased Yoko's mind, "Hell, she would've said yes if i asked her bury a body for me-"
"Thats concerning" Divina said from her place, Yoko nodding along.
"The thing is, i didn't wanted to put that on her. She wouldn't be accesible for you to meet her if she has her walls up, plus she'd been busy packing for a weekend at her family's estate. And-"
"Wait, wait. There is a lot to decompress here" Yoko interrupted her. "We are defenitely talking about the burying a body thing later. Her family has a estate? is she rich or something? Omg, she's your sugar mommy isnt it? fuck, Bianca said-
"Calm down! She isn't rich..." Enid grumbled, before adding in an afterthough "i think. I mean, i dont think so? Her appartment is pretty minimalist"
"Omg, she's got you in her claws already, is this how it goes? is this what they call the 'Denial phase'?" Yoko faned herself. She squeaked when she was lifted from the floor, a strong grip along her waist before she was hauled in Enid's shoulder, "L-let me down! Divina, help me!"
"The fight betwen fearsome werewolves and fledgings Vampires resume again" Enid said, her voice rough in an attempt to sound like sport commentator "As always the handsome and overly powerful lycans are winning. The blood suckers should learn to know when to give up!" Her face twisted in a poor attempt to look like the guys on Playboy magazines that had Divina cracking up at the sight.
"Fearsome werewolves?! as if"
"You're asking fur trouble" Snarked Enid.
Divina gasped, "Not the puns! Those are hell"
"I beg to diffur"
"Oh- almighty ball of fur and fleas. I beg of you, not the puns!"
"Mercy is for the weaklings!" Enid moved Yoko down, switching from grabbin her waist to grip her ankle, leaving her hanging upside down "Feel like home, huh??"
"Put me down already!" The vampire laughed, her hands digging into Enid's calves in a poor atempt of freing herself.
She was unceremouniously dumped head first into the couch, her fangs piercing the soft leather of the cushions, she felt the weight of her girlfriend dissapear from besides her with a giggling and she too pushed herself up.
"Fang you very much" Yoko said, nonchalanty at the gaping face of the siren. "Not you too!" was annoyed yet playful response.
Divina sat comfortably at the dinner table a plate with a small stack of blueberry pancakes long cold resting in fron of her, that did not stopped her from reaching out and start eating, Enid herself perched up in the countertop had wasted no more second in dipping her own and taller stack in sweet maple syrup.
Yoko grimaced at the overly sweet smell, opting to just stick to blood today she grabbed a bag from the small freezer before sitting at the floor not too far away, basking in the coldness of the tiles and the refreshing taste of blood.
"Tell ya' what" she started, her fangs never leaving the bag "If you wolf down that, i'll give you a ride before getting back to sleep. My apologies for apparently draggin' you away from your cougar" The sound of a fork rappidly scrapping at the procelain plate was enough anwser for her to resume sipping at the bag.
They found themself inside Yoko's old Jeep, the drive had been fast and loud, Enid belting out to Taylor Swift's songs along Yoko's back up, Enid bobbed her head in time with the tempo and the vampire smiled, her hand hanging over the window feeling the distant humid summer air of Jersey.
The Jeep was parked in front of the dorms building, the place was mostly deserted, still too early on a saturday morning for anyone to be out after a party night and they had all the parking lot for themselfs. Yoko parked just in front of the doors, before jumping out and following the wolf.
They hadn't actually hanged out in Enid's dorm, since Divina and Yoko's appartment was slightly bigger they always went back there to crash, Enid's single bed could not contain their whole group drunk and high. They could at least crash at their tiled floor without risking someone stepping in their stomach trying to reach the bathroom at night.
Enid walked in front of her trough the long hallway, windows the size of the wall at her left side letting sunlight iluminate their way. The tinkling of keys crashing against eachother as Enid stopped in front of one of the doors.
The vampire looked fondly at the decorated door, colorful sunflowers sprouting from the bottom and blooming over pink skies. A smile drew in her mouth until she caught something, a smell like blood, fresh blood. Yoko jerked her head away in disgust, reaching out to stop Enid from opening the door, "Wait, do u smell that?"
The werewolf confused tilted her nose up, nostrils flaring as she found what her friend was talking about "ugh" Enid said, one of her hands coming up to rub at her sensitive nose.
Yoko inspected the door which showed no signs of being broke into, "Did you give you key to someone? left a window open?" she asked, her eyes glancing from the corners of the door to the small gap betwen the door and the floor. "Smells like fucking road kill"
"No? wait-" The werewolf suddenly snapped, smelling once against. A deep sniff signaled that she'd found what she was looking for, the confusion was washed away and promptly replaced by eagerness, she twisted the keys before pushin open the door, Yoko midway to stop her when the werewolf was already inside.
A box rested at the other side of the door, a black cardboard box. Yoko smelled the air once again, watching as Enid bounced in place. The smell of blood didn't came from the box but from the thing resting over it, it smelled like the forest too, she eyed it for a minute before she figured what it was.
"What the- Is that a skull?"
Enid nodded before carefuly lifting it in her hands, dark and light maroon smudges confirmed Yoko's thoughts, that thing was fresh. She shuddered at seing the wolf craddle the skull close at her chest, if Enid had been a wolf her tail would've been wagging.
"A rabbit's skull" Enid added.
How did she even knew what it was from? "What the hell- Is someone trying to cast a spell on you or something?"
"Its a gift"
"Who even gifts a fucking skull? do u have a stalker or something? need me to take care of them?"
"Nope! Its from Wends, she showed me different skulls from small animals the other day." The nonchalance in her voice was... weird.
Yoko blinked at her, did Enid actually seamed pleased about the skull? Maybe it was a werewolf thing?
"Still, a skull? as a girft?"
Enid scoffed at her, "Don't act like u don't have bat skulls in your room at your father's house."
"They're fake! That does not smell fake"
"So what?" the werewolf pouted.
"Are you seriously asking me that?"
They exchanged a look, Enid stubbornly defending the bloody skull in her hands. Yoko shaked her head at her, before both pairs of eyes drifted to the still untouched black box in the floor.
It suddenly looked omnious.

Chapter Text
Yoko watched as her best friend and the hand talked — Signed? Communicated?— the small thing moving at speed of light and in a way the vampire thought it was having a seizure, but the giggling that came from Enid told her it was a good thing, apparently. Was that a thing now? Seizures were cool?
She shook her head, and waited for them to finish whatever they were talking about as she eyed the box, the hand had jumped out of it but it was way too big for it to be empty. And just as she believed, the horrendous smell of death came from it, blood-stained fur peeked from inside, two long ears that came out of a small head. Rabbits.
"Are those, dead Rabbits? It wasn't enough with the skull?" Yoko grimaced.
The hand that, until a second ago, had ignored her, was tapping furiously at the floor, like a person stomping it's foot.
"She asked me what kind of meat i liked, she kind of likes to hunt, its sweet!"
"In what way?"
"Well, werewolves usually provide food and shelter for their chosen ones, it just means that she is serious"
The vampire looked at her, surprised "She's courting you?! didn't you guys just met?" Enid laughed awkwardly as the hand seemed unamused.
It signed something, its movements lazy and short and she turned to the werewolf "What did it said?"
"First, Thing is a he, he's a person" She scolded.
"Okay okay, got it. What did he said?"
Enid thought for a second "He doesn't like you... very much?"
She scoffed, he didn't liked her?
"Okay, you've been kind of an asshole about the whole dating thing, he's just like protective over Wends just like you are over me" The wolf tried gently when she saw the vampire pout, "I appreciate you worrying for me, and i get it! She really is weird! Like, bear traps and 'She looks like she could kill you and would kill you' kind of weird, but that does not equal to bad, normies think we're weird"
She knew the wolf was right, and so she decided she could cut the woman some slack. "I just really hope, she doesn't really kill people..."
The hand nodded along, and used one form of communication that Yoko was familiar with, morse code instead of sign language. "Plus, does it really matters if they don't find the body? People really be going soft lately" If Enid's confused stare was something to go by, that was not meant for them to understand, and it just made it all the worse.
The vampire sighed before turning to Enid "You're gonna be the death to me, i swear"
Thing, as Enid called him, seemed excited to know that Yoko understood him and tapped furiously at her.
Yoko stood besides Bianca, both of them watching as Ajax prepared himself mentally, the bottom hem of his shirt hanging from his mouth as he let see just enough of his waist as Kent stood before him looking like he was having the time of his life.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Yoko called.
"This is for science"
Bianca snorted "Yeah i don't think that's how it works"
"Are you trying to gatekeep me, Bianca? or are you afraid that i can prove that a kick on the balls hurts more than period cramps"
"Bro, you don-" Bianca started and got quickly interrupted by the vampire, "Hey, don't be mean, if he thinks he can prove it, who are we to stop him?"
"Yeah Bianca, let him do it!" Xavier pipped up from behind them.
Ajax smiled and was about to say something when Kent spoke, "Do i do it or not? i have class in ten minutes"
"Yeah just be caref-" The siren's fist crashed against Ajax's waist, his breath caught as the gorgon squeaked in pain.
Kent seemed satisfied with himself as he picked up his backpack and started walking down the hallway, sending a swift wave to the other guys before disappearing, Ajax was doubled over himself in the floor as Bianca cracked-up, like a full blown laugh.
Yoko was about to poke the guy to see if he was still alive, the pained groan that the boy coughed was enough response as she turned away and towards the two approaching girls, Enid and Divina were talking excitedly as Yoko buzzed in place.
"Babe!" She called and Divina smiled at her.
She was too occupied hugging the siren to notice the black hoodie that her best friend downed. Until a smell hit her "I fucking swear, how come you now smell like blood every time i see you?!" the vampire growled.
"I don't know about the smell but this is comfy af" the blonde said, bringing her wrist up and inspecting the cloth "Oop, yeah. Those are blood stains. Nvm" before taking off the hoodie and wrapping it around her waist.
"Im not even gonna ask" Bianca drawled from behind the vampire.
Divina nodded to the gorgon in the floor "What's up with him?"
Yoko looked between the girls and the boy "cramps, he finally got his period."
No one questioned that.
"Well, fuck it. I'm gonna bite, why do u have a bloody sweater?" Divina asked.
"I took it from Wends' wardrobe, actually i choose this one cause i though it was the one without any stains"
"Damn, i hate when my clothes get dirty with the blood of my enemies"
Both sirens snorted at that.
"Not my business, but she doesn't look like the type of person that shares" Divina said to Enid, a cocked eyebrow in question.
"Look? Did you met her!?"
"I didn't met her, i just saw her, like ten minutes ago."
"She goes here?" Bianca asked now.
"No, she dropped separation-anxiety puppy here." She said, pushing Enid slightly.
Yoko groaned "And you didn't brought her here to meet her?"
"She was taking the highway remember? She's going home for a few weeks."
"In the middle of the semester?"
"She doesn't study"
"So she is your sugar mommy!" Bianca called out. "Damn it, i want one too"
They all stopped when Ajax dragged himself upwards with help of the wall, "I respect y'all so much..." out of breath.
"Anyways" Enid followed without missing a beat, "She asked me to feed her plants, and that actually translates to hanging out at her apartment so... i'll will not be sleeping in the dorms" The grin was heard in her voice.
"You mean water her plants?"
"No?"
"I don't know what's worse, that we haven't meet her or that the first night you sleep in her apartment its when she's not there"
"Who said its the first time?" The blonde said, before walking off.
Yoko was left with her mouth agape, her girlfriend opting to drag her across the hallways to get to class in time.
Notes:
Okay, i know i said two chapters for Wednesday entrance, but i fucked up. This is not the only fic im writing and i accidentaly mixed this with a really serious one, and i just kind of made Wednesday beat the crap out of Yoko, and when i stopped to check how was it going i just went 'oop'.
But i did put a week's work into that chapter so im hesitating in erasing it, im still thinking if i should rewrite it all or just adjust it a bit so its not that bad, and try to put some funny parts here and there.
I swear i have to physicaly restrain myself from giving Wednesday a crackhead personality.
Chapter 5: Fang
Summary:
Does it count as breaking in if u use the key?
Notes:
Im sick so i couldn't write... still, i put together the chapter cause honestly it was already written, i just had to piece together the chunks, add tids and bits and voilá!
And i was really happy that this is getting likes and comments, i was all day in bed just thinking that i wanted to write but i just didn't feel good enough, i would just drag my laptop over my lap and just stare at it before collapsing and going to sleep.
So, no i didn't proof-readed this, im just hoping my past self did and trusting myself. (Even now im mulling over if 'readed' is a word or not, which apparently isn't. I really think it should be)
And i wanted to say that this chapter its not really funny? and it has a lot more detail than what i usually put in the other chapters cause it was not really meant for this fic? if you read my notes in the last chapter you'll know what i mean...
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Enid can be a bit rough, her emotions are too great and big to be contained in her body and ends up being all over the room, which totally translates to being a faux pas walking. She's caring about other but sometimes she's too surprised or too excited to think before acting, and that got her to be the center of a handful of problems in the past.
And even then, it is Yoko who finds herself slapping a hand over her own mouth trying to stay as silently as possible as she hides in someone's house which she broke into with a key she borrowed —Definetely stole — from her best friend. In my defense, she was rubbing the key in my face, as if it was made of gold.
The rumble of the car that had suddenly pulled up at the entrance died out as Yoko rushed inside a random room in silent panic. The room was dark and chains dangled from the ceiling, the first wall had a ceiling tall bookshelf, the first three rows from bottom to top full of books with golden and silver embroidery while the top rows held different glass bottles, vials and in betwen what looked like decoration pieces.
A real-looking skull, dirty and with a hole in the top. Sharp teeth that belonged to who knows what, some smaller than others, sizes goind from snakes to what she guessed a saber tooth tiger, some of the vials glowed eerily while others were as dark as it gets.
There are several more bookshelfs holding only books and the ocacional decoration, at the top of one there was what appeared to be a heart... a beating heart.
A window in the oposite wall of the door that ported a dark landscape, the crescent moon shinning above a layer of soft looking cloud which made Yoko do a doble-take since it supposed to be three pm on a sunny day.
A desk rest under the window, the moonlight enough to iluminate the book that laid open, a language she didn't know and scribles in black ink all across the paper in what appeared to be hand writted notes. Yoko is lost on the visceral creepyness of everything that she forgot why exactly had she rushed into the room, the sound of the front door creaking open making her jump a few inches from the ground.
She stuck herself against the wall, trying to mesh herself with the dark shadows, she heard now, firm steps, not too loud but confident. No dragging feet nor tripping, calm.
She heard as the steps danced around the house adn when they started to walk away Yoko was preparing herself to open the door and sprint to the closet window, the front door was across the living room and kitchen, which crossed it out. Her only chance was throwing herself off a window in the seventh floor.
You could talk with the girl, how is it that our first option is free fall from the 7th floor?!
She shook her head, a hand reaching out to the handle when she heard somethine behind. Peck Peck... Peck Peck Peck she turned softly. In the window were the moon shone was a crow, black wings flapped furiously before it settled in the windowsill and pecked again at the glass. Beady eyes narrowed at her, lit with surprise and anger. What the fuck was it's problem?
It squaked, beak picking at the bottom of the window before it slid up, Yoko almost screams as the bird throws itself at her, her hand breaking the handle of the door and slaming it open before closing it behind her. A hollow thud agains the other side the tell-tale of the animal crashing against the door.
It crawed and proded her shoes from underneath the door, she held the door in place, seeing as there was no way of closing it now that the handle hang broken from it, until suddenly all became silent, no crows no pecking... no steps.
And from behind her a knife came flying before digging into the wooden door just under her ear, Yoko jumped to the side, eyes searching for the attacker. A girl stood not that far away, from the entrance of the kitchen, her hand held in the position of throw, and she heard a 'tsk'. Before the girl flipped another knife from her other hand. ITALICS
"What is a Tanaka doing here" It was not a question, but a warning.
The vampire held her look, she didn't wanted to fight, not when the girl didn't feel short to murderous. She knew however that she had the upperhand, Vampires weren't called lethal for nothing.
The girl ran to her, knife down and Yoko reached out at her wrist, her eyes falling to her left hand as she eyed the knife. When the girl was three feet away she lunged, the girl's eyes narrowed before she twisted her black-claded body around, the knife going back as her other hand came down, a hidden knife that quickly came down into Yoko's left eye.
Had she been a human and not a vampire, Yoko would be missing an eye already, if not her life. Assuming the girl had enough strenght to shove the knife inside her socket and into her brain. Yoko brough other hand up, the first knife forgotten as it dissapeared of her line of sight and stopped the hand from comming down at her, it appeared the girl had the strenght as Yoko stumbled a bit by the force.
Im not fucking loosing against this girl! She though as she grabed and gripped at their hand, before twisting her around, Yoko took advantage of the momentum to immovilize her arms crossing one of her own across her chest.
"Calm the fuck down! Im not-"
It didn't matter what Yoko was going to say as the girl hunched a bit before pushing herself up again and headbutting the vampire in the jaw, her fangs digging in her tonge and lips as she whimpered and let the girl go.
The girl was not letting her talk it seemed, and as she saw her preparing to attack again, Yoko decided that she wouldn't be her sandbag and jumped at her, quick to launch the first punch. It was almost sickening when a smirk grew in the girls face, she ducked it, one of the knives slicing Yoko's hand.
It was aimed to hurt not to immovilize or disarm, the girl danced around her, leaving small cuts across her arms everytime Yoko tried to touch her, half of the times the punches connected but the girl just grunted at the pain, showing no signs of surrendering before moving away once again.
Until The girl wrist ended up too close to Yoko's head, the vampire impatient and annoyed by now, opened her mouth, fangs sharpening as she could hear the blood pumping in her veins, just a bite, a small bite and she could make her freeze in place and she could actually talk to her.
But as soon as her mouth opened a hand grabbed at her face, small hands forcing her mouth to stay open and when Yoko tried to bite them a finger hooked her fang before pulling.
She felt a sharp pain course trough her mouth as a wet 'Pop!' sound reached her ears, she felt to her knees her hands reaching out to her face as she felt her mouth water, it was not saliva. Her hands came up bloodied as she looked down before turning to look at the girl again.
She stood before her, black hair hanging loose over her shoulders and cascading down to mid-back, pools of black as eyes as it eyed the bloody fang in her fingers, turning it over and inspecting it close. She was slightly out of breath as she loked back at the vampire.
"Good quality" she said, the devil-ish smirk back in place.
And the only thing that Yoko could do was mutter a shaky "Im Enid's friend" before passing out. The now wide-eyed goth girl was the last thing she saw.
Wednesday never had the active need to search for companionship, she was content in solitude, even though she grew with two loving parents that did not hesitated to smothering her with caring support.
She blamed it to her presentation as a raven, unlike her mother who lived under the molthering flame of her father's love and devotion, Wednesday thrived in solitude. This drove her farter away from conventional society, even by her peculiar family standards. Modern expressions and social cues were a baffling concept for her.
A handful of times she had the necessity to glare at the rude passerby's that yelled "Girlboss!" and "You go, goth queen" at her from the other street, how did they even knew she was her own boss? Where they hired by her family's enemys to make her feel observed? She had only half-mind to follow this subjects and question their innocuous yet annoying behaviour, it would only be a waste of precious time.
She was still an Addams though, so when she found herself deep into the night in one of the local parks she did not fight the burning feeling in her skin, she was still salty, fully councious that she was at hell's gates, waiting to be consumed by desire. And when her eyes met wide blue eyes that shone with hesitance but overwhelming curiosity all the same she knew she was in for one hell of a ride.
She could've been more accesible, knowing this person was to be the reason of her demise, she could've retain the glare and the sharpnees in her words, but what was the fun in that?
Standing in front of the girl had felt like dying, in the good way. She grounded herself in the feeling of the sharp talons of Tezca digging in her arm, and when the blonde's eyes lit up like a christmas tree when she provided a place and a time of meeting, Wednesday wanted to do anything besides leaving. Her fingers twitching in the need to reach out, the booming voice of the bird that clawed at the back of her brain was forgotten as she steeled herself and turned away.
Cause this was but a dance, and Wednesday needed to push as much as she pulled, and when she was walking down the street in her way to drown herself in some late-night hunting that would soothe the prickling of her skin.
...
She did not however though she would feel like this.
Like a rock had just settled in her stomach as she paced in her living room, the floor was clean, not a single drop of blood was in sight but it didn't matter if her couch was stained, the place smelled like death. Although that probably was because the blood belonged to a vampire, the same vampire that was now passed-out in her couch, the slits in her arms had stopped dripping blood but they were still open, the woman had to drink blood to properly cure them, but that could not happen if she didn't woke up.
And that was not what made Wednesday nervous, no. It was that she knew she had to call Enid, cause goddammit how could she not? and that would led to her explain just how her supposed best friend ended up bleeding out in her apartment, she was sure there was not correct way to tell your mate that you accidentally beat-up her bestfriend.
It did not help that she could almost hear Thing laughing at her from his corner in the living room. She had to call him to ask if the woman was really Enid's friend, he was shocked at first, but seeing the fang missing in the vampire's mouth he acted like it was the funniest thing in the world. She had hissed at him and called Tezca who came barreling trough the broken door and started chasing him around the room, pecking and squaking at the hand, as amusing as it was for the goth, it did nothing to apease her anxiety.
Wednesday sighed, eyeing the forgotten cellphone in the table before reaching out, she was an Addams, she did not ran from her problems.
Notes:
So apparently everyone wanted to read Yoko being beat up by Wednesday, which i don't know if i should feel relieved that i won't have to re-write the chapter or be concerned if you guys are okay. But who am i to judge?
And i wanted to let you guys know that Tezca is the raven, he can talk but keeps himself from doing so because, normies. And is more or less like Wednesdays familiar?
Chapter 6: Meeting
Summary:
They hatin'
Notes:
Im all better now! and i just wrote this in five hours so bear with me...

Chapter Text
Enid was just about to knock on Yoko's door when she heard a Ting from her phone, she reached for it, her free hand knocking before opening it without waiting for a response. Divina who sat at the couch turned and waved at her as she looked at the message.
Enid, can you come down to my appartment?
It was a surprise, as she didn't knew that her girlfriend was already in town. She smiled at Divina saying a quick "Hello!" before searching Wednesday's contact and calling her, the siren watched her curiously.
"Hey, i didn't know you were here already!"
"Hello, yes i decided that i didn't need to be the whole week suffering my parent's smothering affection."
"They're not that bad! You asked me to go there, something the problem? Oh my god, i didn't forgot to feed Prince right? Im pretty sure i did" she asked worrily, remembering watching the lion cub feeding on a big baby bottle Wednesday had given her.
A beat of silence passed before the goth talked, "I think its better if you are here in person, although i assure you, you did nothing wrong."
The anxiety that was forming in Enid's stomach disipated, "Then i'll be there in a second, im not that far away"
"I'll be waiting for you."
A warmth feeling filled her stomach with that, like fluttering butterflies.
"You are down so bad" The siren laughed at her, which made Enid blush.
"Oh, shut up! You are the same" The siren only shrugged knowing she could not deny it. "I know i just got here but i gotta go, wanna come with?"
Divina though about it for a second before agreeing, "I was waiting for Yoko to come back but i was getting a bit bored, i can give you a ride and finally meet that woman of yours"
"Just don't tell Yoko, she'll be so jealous that you get to know her first."
"I promise nothing"
"Anything i should know before meeting her?" Divina asked, the blonde was sitting besides her as she drove through the city, the radio turned low enough to be just background noise.
"She dosen't like touching, she won't shake you hand or give you a hug as a greeting, but its really not personal. And she may look a bit stadnoffish and rude but she warms up to you if you don't cross her boundaries"
At seeing weird Divina's look the blonde paniqued a bit, "You don't have to like her, i mean, she's difficult yes and can come up a bit harsh, which i totally understand if you don't like. But... i do ask you to give her a shot. I really do like her..."
"Relax, pup" The siren sighed, "being honest, she dosen't sound nice. But i trust you, if you like this girl and think that she's worth it, then i'll try and get along with her. And maybe i can put a good word for her with Yoko."
The second she finished talking the blonde crashed agains her side with a squeal, "Thank you, thank you, thank you! She might threaten to cut your hands, but she really won't do it if i tell her"
"She what-?"
Before Divina could ask her just what did she meant, her phone started ringing, "Can you pick it? it might be Yoko"
Enid nodded, reaching out to Divina's bag and looking at the screen "Its bianca" she said waiting for a nod to anwser it, "Hello Bianca, Divina's driving you're on speaker"
"Hey, where are you exactly? i wanted to know if you could pick me up"
"That depends, where nearing Freeze parlor"
"Im actually really close to there, i came to this new gym by the small bridge"
"The blue one, with big glass walls?"
"Yup, im standing in the corner, just in front of Collin's"
"Yeah we can pick you up, if you don't mind to stick with us? Im giving Enid a ride to... what was it called?"
"Golden Lion's apartment building" Enid pipped in.
"its good, ill be waiting here"
"See ya then"
Divina ended the call as she looked back at Enid, "We'll have a little detour"
It was five minutes later that Bianca found herself standing beside a bus stop, the low traffic was nice until she heard someone talking? signing? She turned noticing Yoko's Dark blue jeep approaching.
A blonde head was hanging off the open window as they yelled, "THEY SEE ME ROLLIN'... THEY HATIN'...."
Bianca groaned as she saw the heads of passerbys turning to the conmotion.
"Patrollin' and tryna catch me ridin' dirty!"
The car stopped just in front of her as the two inside keep singing "Tryna catch me ridin' dirty!-" Divina was backing up Enid's voice as the siren rushed to get inside and off the public eye.
As soon as the door closed behind her she groaned, a slight blush covering her face "Oh my god, and i thought Yoko and Enid together were the worst"
"Hey! i can be fun too" Divina snarked back, her eyes watching her through the rear-view mirror.
"Only when you are not starstruck by Yoko's presence, which brings me to my question, Where is the vamp and why isn't she at Divina's feet like always?"
"She took off early, she didn't say were"
Enid turned at that, "Ooh, isn't your anniversary soon? Maybe she's planning a surprise"
Bianca hummed, "I did saw her looking through engagement rings a few weeks ago..." The car came to a halt as Diina turned in her seat to look at the siren, wide eyes and heavy blush, "HAH, it was a joke Div, i mean i know that lesbians are fast but, that would be like some F1 speed there."
"Oh god, don't fucking joke like that, i almost drove into the incoming traffic" Divina sighed, yes, a proposal after just one year was just out of mind, plus they were still in college. She started the car again, making her way out of the green light and leaving behind the mad drivers honking at her for her sudden stop.
The car rumbling died as Divina withdrew the key, reaching out to her bag.
"Why are we here again?" Bianca asked from behind.
Divina hummed, knowing they hadn't told Bianca why "Meeting Enid's girlfriend"
"It might take a while, Div can lend you the keys and we can get a ride in Wends car" Enid prompted, not even stopping to think if Yoko would mind if Bianca kept her car for today.
"No way im missing this, i wanna meet her too"
Enid only shrugged, she couldn't wait to see Wednesday and she was just a tad bit nervous, the goth hadn't said why did she needed her, and while usually there was no reason for someone to ask their partner to come to their apartment, Enid knew it was different for Wednesday.
The three of them approached the door an buzzed the caller, the door popped open without an awnser and they walked inside.
"I fucking knew your girlfriend was loaded" Bianca huffed, looking at the soft walls and clean rug under their feet.
Divina only whistled in agreement.
The ride in the elevator as quick and soon they stood in front of a black door between the rows of blue ones, Bianca scoffed at the color before Enid reached into her pocket and finding it empty. Weird, she could've swear she had Wednesday's spare key this morning, had she left it in her dorm?
Shaking her head Enid knocked and as soon as the door opened she threw herself at Wednesday who stood tensely at the other side, both sirens shared an amused look before they saw a black haired head over Enid's shoulder looking back at them, dark eyes boring into theirs.
Enid squealed into the embrace, before letting go of the small girl "Im sorry" she said blushing "I was re-charging, i haven't see you in a week!"
"it is okay, i found myself missing your torturous presence too"
The blonde huffed before stepping aside, "Girls, this is Wends, Wends this is the girls!"
Bianca stepped close first, reaching out with a hand "Im Bianca, Barcklay. Im quite surprised Enid kept you hidden for so long" A smirk plastered in her face.
The goth only looked at her unimpressed, and almost disgusted at the offering hand before turning to the other siren.
Divina who was sweating by the sole presence of the off-putting girl tried to remember what Enid told her. She did not approached and kept her hands for herself, "Im Divina, Enid told me a lot about you Wends, its a pleasure to finally put a face to the name"
The black-claded girl seemed to apreciate it, hidding her tanned hands behind her back as she talked "It is my displeasure to finally meet Enid's associates. Its Wednesday" Her voice was controlled, like the strings of an harp, soft but tensed, there was an edge to it.
"Wednesday?" Divina tilted her head in question.
"My name, Wednesday Addams" The girl repeated, this time there was a sharpness of annoyance.
Bianca huffed, retreating her hand back as she heard the name, "Now i see it, an Addams you said? I've heard that name before"
"Barcklay you said?" Wednesday drawled back drily "I've not heard that name before at all"
Divina snorted and Enid turned away, surely trying to hide the smile that appeared in her face.
"Whatever" Bianca mumbled.
Enid used the break to ask Wednesday "So, did you call me for a specific reason or did you just wanted to see me?" Her puppy eyes shinning in a mix anticipation and anxiety.
The goth looked at her and Enid basked in the way her eyes warmed, then worried over the strained tone in her voice "I do have a specific reason, i found this..." She said, reaching out to show the spare key that was supposed to be in Enid's pocket.
"Oh, hey. Where did you found it? did i dropped it here?"
"No, there was a person inside my appartment, and i found it in their pocket"
"What?! someone broke in? how did they even got the key, i swear i had that in my pocket a few hours ago, are you okay?!"
Divina tried to get a look at the key as Wednesday made a motion for them to follow while Enid tried to see if there were any injuries in her body, they walked by the kitchen and through a hallway when Divina almost chokes at seeing her girlfriend passed-out.
"Yoko?!" She almost yelled and ran to her, "Why is she here? Oh my god, is this blood?!"
Bianca stood confused at the entrance, while Enid and Divina fussed over the vampire, "Thats its so much blood!" Enid said worrily.
"Do not fret, she's not in danger sadly, the blood mostly came out of her mouth"
Divina reached out to open the vampire's mouth and promptly hissed at seeing the missing teeth "What did you do to her?!" the siren screeched, walking briskly towards the goth.
A flick of metal later a knife rested just an inch away from Divina's throat almost lazzily, Enid reached out to stop Divina from moving as Bianca reached out to her chest, her hand wrapped around the shinning blue pendant threateningly.
Wednesday's eyes sweept around the room coldly until they rested in Bianca's, her hand did not move as Enid kept Divina from slicing herself in the sharp edge, they stood still as they heard groaning and shuffling as Yoko sat up in the couch.
"My head's spinning..." She mumbled before she took sight of the scene in front of her.
Notes:
Okay so... i kind of like the idea of Wednesday having lots of pets, (Most of which live in the Addams' state) but that will not keep me from giving her a dog, two cats, a crow, an alive bear rug, three hamsters, a snake, two spiders a lizard and kitty's offspring in her apartment. Plus the lots of Carnivore plants that Morticia gives her and the multiple poisonous and weird plants that she keeps and uses for witchcraft....
Chapter 7: First Impressions
Summary:
Wednesday torturing Yoko a bit, just a bit...
Bianca knows.
Enid being a good mate/gf. 8)
Notes:
okay i know y'all wanted more Yoko bashing, but it would've taken me more chapters and i don't want to be stuck in the same scene for too many actualizations, there will be time... i promise.
Plus im a bit excited for Wednesday to meet the whole squad.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
The vampire sat up, missing the comforting weight of her glasses over her nose, she looked around mumbling as she noticed Divina being hugged by Enid, "Oh my god guys, i just had the worst fucking nightmare of my life" She said, her voice hoarse and raspy "I was in this weird ass place that looked like the Edward scissorhands' version of Tinkerbell's workshop, and a fucking black corgi was chasing me with a knife in its snout-" She groaned when her mouth throbed in pain, reaching out to touch were a fang should've been, instead only touching angry-red gum that made her writhe in pain.
The sour-ish taste of her own blood slowly filling her mouth a she gagged before begrudgingly swallowing it down, only then did she felt daggers digging at the back of her head and she turned to find none other than a goth girl, her hand raised with a knife pointing at her girlfriend's neck, the same knife that had previously sliced her skin open.
A low growl left her throat, ready to launch herself to the woman and claw her eyes out when another growl had her recoiling, Enid was watching her with bared teeth and eyes flashing dangerously, showing off her fangs even as she held Divina in place her eyes looking warningly at Yoko.
"Stop" Bianca scolded, pendant off her neck, making Enid and Yoko stop in their tracks, the girl standing to the side bristled against the sound of the siren's voice.
"Try to use that voice again and i'll rip your throat apart" 'Wends' sneered at the siren.
"Okay, calm the fuck down everyone" Bianca huffed but thist time it wasn't an order, she was glaring at them but Yoko could hear the slight trembling in her voice. Not that Bianca would back off.
Enid let go of Divina, now knowing she wouldn't try and attack the goth and the siren quickly and awkwardly shuffled towards her. Yoko opened her arms and hugged her girlfriend while sitting on the couch again, her head throbbed along with her mouth, she could hear Divina's voice somewhere but her atention was on Enid and the other woman, which still held the unsheathed knife close and dark honey eyes darting across the room. Enid whispered something that made the goth blink, looking around once more before nodding and walking off.
Only then did Yoko felt the prickling of her skin ease, Bianca sighed on relief too, taking a moment to lean against one of the walls.
Not before long Divina was fussing over her, Yoko tried to tell her that she was fine, she just needed to drink blood and she would be like new when she remembered that she hand't bring one. Divina huffed at her "I didn't bring either, i didn't know you would be here" As soon as she said that the door the goth appeared again, she saw Bianca stand a little taller as she tightened her hold on Divs shoulder protectively.
The girl looked at the couple before turning back at Enid, the blonde nodded at her making the goth scoff before walking to them and offering a bag of blood in Yoko's direction, the vampire frowned at her, she wouldn't take anything off her hand, it was probably poisoned.
Understanding Yoko's glare the girl scoffed once more, cleary done with everyone's shit, she dug into her pocket and brough two straws before stabbing the bag with one, taking a sip and then offering it again along with the un-used straw.
She took the bag eagerly, wishing for the headache to be gone already and she sinked her fangs on it only to growl at the sharp pain in her mouth, grumbling she took the straw off the still outstretched tanned hand and from the smirking goth.
"Im not spologizing" she said drily and Yoko dared said a bit smugly.
Divina still looked horrified at the whole exchange and the goth only turned back again towards Enid, looking at the blonde almost expectanly until the werewolf beamed at the short woman and patted her head affectionably.
Bianca laughed unamusedly, "Seeing as no one is, then im gonna ask, what the fuck happened here?" The vampire turned away, looking at the slashes in her skin slowly closing up, but her bruised ego was harder to heal. Enid who guessed that Yoko was not going to awnser the black claded girl, she didn't seem eager to talk either but after a few proding from the pup, she had done so reluctantly.
"I found the vampire inside my apartment, it is my right to defend myself" She shrugged boredly.
"Defend youself? She looks like she was mauled!" Divina retorted.
The satisfaction reflecting on the girl's face was unerving, "I fail to see my fault on this"
She glared at Addams, Bianca was sure that had it been anyone else, any other outcast they could've at least made them kneel at Coven laws, removing a vampire's fang forcefully was immoral and in a bunch of cases illegal.
But this was not any kind of outcast, she mused exasperately.
Yoko was seething in her palce in the couch, rightfully so, yet they could do close to nothing much to the vampire's chagrin, while Yoko was not just some rich kid she did had a father that took her healt and wellbeing really seriously, but Bianca doubted even Mr.Tanaka could do something about it, not if what Wednesday said was true.
"Yoko" She called, trying to make the vampire clear out her head, "Im pretty sure i don't want to know, but i have to ask so, what were you doing here?"
"I-" the vampire stumbled, thrown off by the question "Fuck it, i was trying to spy on Enid's girlfriend... but i was right! she's a psycopath! Enid you can't be seriously dating that-! that thing!" Bianca looked carefully betwen the goth and the vampire, expecting a fight to break out, but surprisignly enough Addams just nodded along, seemingly okay with what was being said.
It did made a chiding growl come from Enid.
"So you did broke into her appartment?"
"Well.. yeah but-"
Divina gasped, "Yoko! i understand that you are worried for Enid, but for god's sake" slapping slightly at her girlfriend's shoulder.
"Okay but hear me out! She's sick! she has this weird torture things in that creeppy room" She yelled pointing at the door with the broken handle, "Have you seen it? it reeks like death! She's got a dead-ass beating heart"
Bianca stood awkwarly eyeing the ominous door, for a vampire it might have looked completely normal, if not by the sulfur-ish smell it just gave off but for a siren that their senses fell more into a more psychic spectrum than instinctual, the door had a black mist covering half of it, she knew Divina was looking at the same exact thing, and she too knew that Divina knew nothing about the Addams' family.
The siren who was still tangled around the vampire was gaping at the door and was about to bable something about it had she not been interrumped.
"Okay! calm down" Enid huffed, furred brows in annoyance after not having said a word trough the whole ordeal, "First, im gonna take you all out of here..." she said, nodding to the three of her friends. "Cause if you stay here a one more minute, someones gonna die and im not sure if its derserved or not..."
Yoko was about to retort before she was hauled over Enid's shoulder, leaving Divina to follow behind her, she was clearly anxious, trying to get them out as soon as possible, and Bianca could see why. The goth who stayed relatively calm even though three strangers had barged into her apartment with no previous announcement was grinding her teeth silently.
Bianca turned in time to Enid, shivering at the daggers that were clearly digging at the back of her head "Oh god Enid, you seriously had to go and fell in love with the only Addams in this whole damn city did you?" The wolf huffed, standing just a bit taller, ready to defend her maiden's honor "Relax, im not saying its bad, just... you have one hell of a luck"
"WAIT! What about my fang!" Yoko yelled, struggling against werewolf strenght.
Bianca and Divina turned around, looking expectantly at the goth.
"It gonna make a good trophy in one of my shelves..."
"No way!" Yoko cried, whriting in Enid's hold. The blonde's eyes softened, thinking what would feel for her to loose a fang, it couldn't be fun. Bianca saw Wednesday carefuly watching the werewolf, a silent conversation betwen the two, before Addams' shoulder sagged defeated.
The siren had to stop herself from smirking, seeing the power Enid held over the goth.
Enid was beaming as she walked back to her girlfriend, knowing that she had won, Divina and Yoko stood confused as no one said a thing.
The black door opened and a raven flew in, croaking at the intrudors, tapping was heard as a hand scrambled to follow behind the bird.
Divina squeaked at the sight of a cut hand, trying to stomp it multiple times like it was a rat, the last stomp was definetely aimed perfectly at it but before it could come down the goth had pulled her away from the cuff of her clothes, she was snering at the siren, and this time Enid didn't defend her.
"I do not enjoy strangers trying to rob me from my fun, it is only my job to torture those from my family, do you understand?" It was delivered with the same monotonous and bored tone, but it send shivers down Divina's back.
After an nod from Divina the goth was quick to move, barking orders to the Hand and the raven, both of which raced to the room and back carrying different vials, serums and instruments. Yoko was pushed to the couch again, this time Enid held her there trying to sooth her anxiety and Bianca only watched amused.
Not before long Wednesday sat over the living room's table and in front of Yoko, three small glass bottles were lined up besides her as she held the Fang and her knife in her hands. "Drink this" she pushed the first vial to Yoko's hand and waited.
The vampire was not happy about it, refusing "Im not drinking shit, i don't trust you"
"Don't be a goblin tanaka" Bianca joked from the side lines, laughing at Divina's glare.
Wednesday only shrugged, reaching out to discard the vials and instruments "Then wait for it to grow again, don't care"
Divina growled at the vampire "Just do it, fangs grow way too slow"
Sighing Yoko reached for the vial and tipped it up all until the last drop before cringing at the taste, instantly the Addams had reached out to open Yoko's mouth again, the knife slicing open the throbbing gum where the fang had been.
This time no blood came out as Wednesday reached for the second vial and emptying it in Yoko' s throat, the vampire coughed but finally swallowed it down, "Keep her mouth open" Quick enough Enid had reached to grab at Yoko's jaw as Wednesday let go of it to grab the third vial from which this time grabbed a syringe and only took a small portion of the concotion, unlike the other two this one looked murky and had a brown-ish color while the others were cristaline like water.
"Don't let her move" Was the only thing she said before diving in again, Yoko paniqued trying to close her mouth but Enid tightened her hold, the fang dig into the angry red flesh as Yoko whrited in place, a tear rolling down her face as pain coursed trough her factions.
"Oh god, you didn't gave her anestesia or something?" Yoko's girlfriend fussed, worrisome eyes watching the goth move around. "What were the vials for?"
"What its torture without pained screams?" Wednesday responded, "The first vial was to cut any kind of bleeding, the second was to prevent any kind of infection and it too worked as a serum to counter the poison she drank with the blood i gave her"
"You poisoned her?!" Divina bellowed as Yoko groaned.
"A shame really, such a waste of perfectly good poison, but had it been in her system when i put the fang it would've rot the bone instantly"
"Oh my god"
When the fangs had been secured in place the goth inyected the murky water just above it, holding tight the teeth. "This is to make the nerve of the teeth to grow"
A scream tore trough the apartment as Wednesday pulled at the Fang slightly before letting go completely.
"What was the yank for?" Divina asked as she approached the doubled over vampire, "To see if it was secured?"
"No, so she knows to not break into my appartment again." Wednesday sighed, dropping the syringe on the table before cleaning her hands troughly with a rag that Thing held for her. "Now, how would you feel about giving me a blood sample?"
"How can you even ask that right now? Why didn't you just take it when you were literally three inches deep in my throat!" Yoko snarled.
"i could've yes, but Enids been teaching me that taking blood samples from unaware subjects against their will its not exactly polite, im not above rudeness but how could i ever make my girlfriend's best friend uncomfortable?" Wednesday retorted, irony dripping from her voice as a devil-ish smirk apeared on her face "Its been a displeasure to meet you, but i think you've overstayed your welcome"
The black-claded girl took a step closer to the blonde who looked dumbfounded at her and left a swift kiss in her colored cheek, "You are invited to stay for as long as you desire, mon chéri... But my writting hour is about to start, im sure Thing would be more than eager to keep you company" Enid shook her head before breaking into a warm smile.
"Im sorry for loosing my key" The wolf looked pointly at Yoko, "I'll take my friends home and maybe pass by later"
The Addams' heir nodded "You have nothing to be sorry about" before turning to give them one last look over and walking to the dark hallway at the other side of the living room as Enid ushered her friends out, it was quite the first impression, she'll just have to keep an eye on them, it would not do to have problematic insects lingering around.
She could still hear the vampire barking angrily at her, cursing loudly as the werewolf dragged everyone out, by the time Wednesday sat in front of her typerwritter the voices were gone.
Notes:
Yoko: I broke in cause from what i've heard she might as well be a murderer sociopath!
Wednesday: Fair enough.
Enid: *glares at the goth*
Wednesday: I mean, she's not wrong? i might be a sadistical bitch but im no liar.
Friendly reminder that Yoko still dosen't know Wednesday's full name... and that Wednesday and Kent would make one hell of a crackhead duo. But thats my personal opinion lol

Chapter Text
Yoko walked silently besides her friends, Ajax was a few steps ahead walking backwards and she was just waiting for him to trip, Enid was listening to him but Divina seemed to be just nodding along and bianca was texting in her phone, it had been like that lately. After the debacle at the goth's house, Enid and her had a little fight which make things go cold, they still talked and joked around, Divina was still her loving girlfriend, but they both had said that she crossed the line, for real this time.
The gorgon was gesturing wildly as he almost crashed against the open door of the classroom, Enid giggled and pushed him aside as she made to go inside. The wolf shared this class with Ajax and Yoko and was mostly empty so their other two friends followed them in.
"Im telling you, this guy just showed up and put his hand on my shoulder and went 'Hey', who the fuck does that? are we back into the 50'?" The gorgon groaned, he had gone out to a gay bar by himself, 'just out of curiosity' he had said. Pff, Yeah right.
"Maybe its cause you dress like a whore, have you though about that?" Bianca said, not once lifting her eyes from the screen.
"Oh naw, you are just jealous that i have better sense of fashion than you"
The others were too occupied listening Ajax or in their own thoughts that they didn't noticed the single paper cup sitting in Enid's table, but Yoko sure did. She had reached for it, thinking that maybe someone from the past class had forgotten it but as soon as her skin touched it a small and slight charge of electricity pass through her.
Yoko yelped, retracting her hand as she glared at the offending object, Enid turned to her at the sound, curiosity shinning in her eyes as she silently asked what happened, Bianca had a bored expression but she too looked at the paper cup like she knew something.
"Yoko?" Ajax said.
"The goddamn cup attacked me"
"Wha-?"
Bianca took a step forward, watching the cup without reaching out, her eyes settling in at the bottom where a few lines were scribbled, "Its charmed" a small smirk playing in her face.
"Charmed? what does that even mean"
Ajax looked curiously at the cup, reaching out to touch it himself before yelping and pulling it away.
"Oh- thats mine!" The wolf interrupted happily, hands shooting forward to grab it and taking a sip from it.
Yoko frowned at the lack of electric shock and the blissful face of her best friend.
"Surely you know what a charm is, witchcraft is one of the base subjects at Nevermore in Highschool years"
"Bitch, I don't linger in the past, it distracts me from now" Ajax said, his hand reaching out at the cup again, only to be swatted away by the blonde.
Divina suddenly brightened, "Oh, i took witchcraft for a couple of years! I didn't know it was still practiced tho." Se recalled.
"There was a witchcraft class in highschool?" Yoko asked unsure, she didn't remember that, and she stayed there for quite sometime.
"Okay but why was Enid's coffee charmed?"
Yoko, Ajax and Divina turned at Enid who stood at the side gingerly sipping at it.
Bianca awnsered for her, "If i remember correctly, Enid's girlfriend comes from a coven in Jersey" Enid nodded solemnly.
"Why does it seems like you know more about Enid's girlfriend than her?" Ajax asked before being promptly ignored as he kept trying to grab the cup from the werewolf, only to cry in slight pain and nurse his own hand.
Yoko scoffed, "Of course she's a witch, despicable"
"Oh, shut up you" Divina huffed, she had always been fascinated by witchcraft and she knew Yoko was just being an asshole. Suddenly the brown-haired girl remembered something, "Wait, i though you said she was a psychic?"
"Oh, she is"
"How"
"She's a psychic?!" Yoko interrupted.
Enid nodded, "Witchcraft does not come from bloodlines, it depends more of you spirit and soul or something like that. Her grandmother by her father's side is a witch, she was taught since she was a toddler and her mother comes from a long line of psychics, so yes, she is both."
"You hear that Ajax, you can become a witch!" Bianca joked.
Ajax snorted and proceded to wiggle his hands at the siren and cooing at her, "Are you charmed now?!"
"Thats not hot charms works, dumbass. Thats more like siren song" Divina laughed, swatting at the gorgon.
"I gotta say, charming things sound better than being Psychic, i mean, have you seen Xavier?"
"He's not the rule" Bianca cleared up for him, "His father's bussiness affected him way too much"
The gorgon frowned at that, he hadn't met another Psychic that wasn't Xavier, "So what, she can read my mind and things like that?"
Everyone looked at him like he was out of his mind but Bianca smirked, "I mean, she could..."
"Wait, she can?!" The other siren gaped.
Enid snorted, "No she can't" Then frowned, "...I think"
"And thats why you don't just throw yourself into a relationship with someone you dont know" Yoko bristled, taking the chance of making a point, smiling tauntingly at her best friend.
The werewolf growled playfuly at her and threw the cup at the vampire, the charm giving her goosebumps as the empty cup bumped against her head. "Ow!"
Ajax groaned and pouted like a toddler, he only needed to stomp his foot. "Why do only you guys get to meet her? i wan't to meet the hot goth too!"
"No one said she's hot" Yoko grumbled.
"She totally is!" Enid barked, "And shut up vamp, its my girlfriend you are talking about"
Bianca and Divina nodded contemplatively.
Yoko gasped at her girlfriend, "She's built like a toddler!"
"Are you body-shaming short queens Yoko?" Ajax reproched, smirking at Yoko's growing frown.
"Plus, that girl just beat you ass last week." Bianca laughed, there was no way she would let Yoko live that down.
The door of the classroom opened again and the proffesor strode in, silently nodding at the students before setting on the desk, both sirens took their cue and said their goodbyes as Ajax and Joko sat at each side of the werewolf.
The gorgon was still very much intrigued by this girl that his friend was dating and took upon teasing the blonde and asking questions about the goth.
Yoko though was still salty about the whole ordeal, grumbling and mumbling under her breath as she took the window seat, seizing the oportunity as she saw the lack of sun, that morning the weather man had said that rain and thunder was expected and it made her felt just slightly better.
As she looked outside she noticed a shadow in one of the courtyard lamps, a Raven sat on top of it, hunched over silently. Crows and Ravens were not an uncommon sight around Nevermore but something in this particular bird made Yoko shiver.
She turned as she heard Ajax and Enid making plans to invite the Addams girl and finally and formally, which she didn't know hot to feel about.
For the lenght of the class the shadow did not budge for a second, not a sound was emitted from the animal until a her phone vibrated in her pocket, she digged it out and looked at the screen and seing multiple text from her father. She had follow Bianca's advice and she had contacted her father to ask about this 'Wends' girl and the apparently known Addams family, her father had agreed to videocall her later. When she looked up the bird was gone.
Creepy indeed.
Notes:
I swear this was supposed to be a crack fic, like just 10k words of Yoko just yapping at Wednesday like a corgi, but i want something more out of this, and while i know that the first chapters are not that serious, i'll be slowly threading my initial idea with a serious plot (Which i already had but wanted to make a second fic out of) I still have a lot of ideas just running amok in my head and im trying really hard to develop them before just throwing everything in and make a mess out of it.
Im not that good of a writter so i just ask you to let me know if something is too vague or its really hard to understand or if it dosen't makes sense at all. I don't have a beta so i just go with what i like and i think that goes well but i already know where the story is going so my opinion its not unbiased.
Chapter 9: It's Friday, i believe...
Summary:
It is friday, but it is too, Wednesday.
Notes:
So... i would've liked to have a much more dramatic reason to not having posted this.... - since this has been written for over a year now- cough cough. But, yeah... hope you enjoy.
Hope i don't dissapoint. It's not a lot. But, it's something.

Chapter Text
A few days ago.
She walked up to the kitchen and then turned to the small living room where both of her friend waited. As soon as she approached, the blonde that was pacing suddenly turned around to her, she was mad, that was clear.
"I can't frickin' believe you did that" The vampire said nothing, "What? Are you not gonna say something?"
"I won't apologise" she grumbled.
Enid scoffed at her, turning around to Bianca as if she couldn't believe what Yoko was saying. "Yoko, I'm not fucking mad you broke into her apartment, god knows she does that shit on a daily basis."
The vampire bristled like a stubborn mule, tugging at the bracelet in her wrist. "then what? What did you expected from me? To not worry? She's maniac!"
"I wanted you to trust me! Do you think I didn't know? That I don't see how fucking socially awkward she is?" The blonde was trying her best to just not start breaking things and Yoko could see the way her hands shook a bit. The grimace pulling at her face making the three white lines at the left side of her face more visible.
"It's not that she's awkward! Everyone is awkward at some point-" Yoko raised her voice just a bit so it wasn't drown in Enid's growls. "Did you not see her room? There was a vials full of blood for Vlad's sake!"
Enid stopped pacing, "You drink blood on a daily basis!"
"Yeah but she's not a vampire! And I get my bags legally from a vamp protection group! That bag she gave me, I don't know what the fuck was it but it was not tagged."
The werewolf scoffed at her again, obviously she didn't knew what that meant, the blonde let herself fall in one of the chairs and Yoko followed her example after watching the girl calm herself a bit.
"I know where you come from..." Enid started again, her breath was still ragged but there was a sad glint in her eyes, "But she's not my mom. Im not diving into this without knowing, I'm not following her like a blind puppy"
"How do you know that?"
They exchanged a look, Enid knowing Yoko wouldn't back off until she knew that the werewolf would be alright and Yoko being lost. She didn't know who the girl was nor what she was. But she almost lost Enid once.
"I won't make you understand, but I can show you." Enid relented, "Meet with her, get to know her. It will be hard, I'm telling you that. She's not the easiest and you are stubborn as a mule." That got a chuckled out of the vampire.
Bianca watched on from her spot on the couch, pensive look on her face. Maybe everything would turn out fine.
Now.
Her right eye twitched underneath her glasses as the slurping sound started all over again, they had been at it for fifteen minutes already but it seemed that the nerves were getting to Enid already. A mope of blonde hair bend over the table and hiding away her face acting as a defense mechanism that was too familiar to the vampire.
"Oh, wow. My drinks gone." Enid said, shacking the cup slightly, only the ice and minimal drink making the slushy sound. She hastily stood up, her hand almost pulling the goth's along before she let go. Yoko's eye twitched again, then drifted back to the short goth sitting before her, she hadn't touched the drink she'd ordered, probably because it tasted like shit, 'iced quad expresso' Enid had chirped without any prompting when putting down orders, it had made Yoko make a double take but the other girl hadn't voiced a complain. The amount of coffee inside that drink must've been enough to put an adult werewolf into a coma. Huh, maybe her taste buds were as dead as she looked.
Could it be that Enid was dating an undead? Yoko's nose scrunched at the mere thought, usually the smell irradiating from undead people was enough to keep her miles away. But there was no such smell coming from the goth. She leaned a bit, sniffing.
"Hi" The vampire said, sounding cold.
The goth-looking girl turned from Enid's retreating back to Yoko sitting in front of her, no emotion flashed through blank eyes. "Hello" A beat, two beats.
A sigh, "okay, listen. I don't like you, you don't like me. As long as you don't hurt Enid we are good, deal?"
"I never said I didn't liked you"
Yoko frowned, "You like me?"
"No"
"My point" Yoko smirked at the annoyed look in the goth's face, "Deal?"
"Deal what?" Interrupted Enid, her smile betraying the frustrated frown directed at he best friend, she had been caught.
"Nothi-"
"She wants us to pretend we... like—She almost spat the word— each other for the sake of your sanity"
"ITS NOT LIKE THAT"
Enid huffed, settling once again besides the goth and in front of her best friend, had Yoko been looking she would've notice the small dimple appear on the goth's cheek. "Can't you just make an effort? A real effort?"
"Okay okay!" Yoko relented, "so... You like animals right?"
Wednesday seemed to think about the question a little too long for someone who seemingly owed a crow and a hand? was that a thing?. Before nodding. "Oh! She has a rat" Enid chimed in. Yoko perked up, she liked rats, they were little buggers, fun af.
"Really?"
Enid nodded before looking expectantly at Wednesday, the goth for her parts only sighed a little before reaching down to the inside pocket of her hoodie.
It was... Black. Surprisingly, quite cute. She pegged Wednesday as the type to collect ugly animals, like feral cats with only one eye or a dog that had killed a kid before, with thick scarring across it's snout. Yes, she seemed the type.
But the rat nestled inside the tanned hand looked anything but, with large whispers and twitching nose. Sleek dark hair and a slightly lighter toned tail hanging.
"Omg he's so cute."
"It's a she"
"Does she have a name?"
"Death"
Yoko freezed, unamused face, was she for real?
"Omg she's so cute while sleeping!" Enid piped up.
"She's tired from work"
Yoko did a double take, "What does she do? For... Working?"
"Leads souls to the deep end, sounds fun I know." The whole sentence was said in a deadpanned voice that made Yoko doubt if it was a joke or not. "Yeah..."
Enid gave Yoko a shrug and she sighed. "Okay so... Gwen-"
"Its Wednesday." She said, as she promptly and carefuly hid the small creature back inside her hoodie.
Yoko frowned. No, she had an assignment today, it was friday. "It's Friday" Her eyes following the motion of her hands.
The goth mulled over her words. "Only Weems calls me that."
"Say what now-" Yoko was interrupted by Enid's groan. The blonde leaned forward, trying to bang her head on the table but a tanned hand moved to pillow the hit.
Enid blushed and looked away but the goth said nothing, just looking blankly at Yoko. The wolf cleared her throat. "Okay, i forgot i hadn't tell you. Wend's name is Wednesday, so yeah, why the confusion"
Yoko blinked, looking between them trying to asses if that was a joke. "YOU ARE NOT NAMED WEDNESDAY-" She broke into full belly laughter.
Wednesday's eyes twitched, "WHO IN THE FUCK, WOULD NAME THEIR CHILD WED-" The vampire was interrupted by Enid smacking her down the head. Yoko hissed, rubbing at the spot.
"MANNERS, PLEASE" Enid gritted, fangs in display and Yoko sighed, still rubbing her head. The vampire turned towards the goth who, despite looking quite murderous, kept herself in check.
Yoko lifted her arms in mock surrender. "Okay, okay. My bad." She huffed at Enid's encouraging nod. "Wednesday, then... Uh, Yoko, Yoko Tanaka."
Wednesday huffed, "I knew that." She said, in a voice that almost made Yoko's neck snap. "Wednesday, Wednesday Friday Addams" She said in turn after one of Enid's scolding looks.
Yoko stared at her unimpressed, she opened her mouth, saw Enid's scolding face then snapped it shut again. "Ok, so... Wendy-" The goth scolded at her. Yoko smirked, now this, this was fun. "Wendy-" A thud sound passed and then there was a knife embeded besides Yoko's head, ripping open the cushy backrest. "CAN YOU NOT-?!" Wednesday looked away, looking bored. Yoko groaned, baring her teeth. There was a glint of something metal then Enid was moving, holding onto Wednesday's arm. Yoko snorted at the sight, the goth still glaring at Yoko as the blonde pulled on her arm. Then Enid hissed something and Wednesday looked at her.
Yoko grinned. "Ooh, we know who has the pants in this-" It was cut off by Enid, who growled and stood up. Yoko became paler, than usual at least, at the utter betrayal in Enid's face.
"I can't believe you, Yoko! why are you-" Enid growled at herself. "Why are you being like this? Why are you... doing the same thing she did...." She trailed off, tears starting to gather in her eyes. This was more hurt than anger. The blonde sniffed, roughly rubbing her nose before moving towards the door. Her words, though broken, threatened against any attempts of calming her down. "Wait, Eni-" She didn't waited, the blonde stood up, shoulders tight and tears gathering on her eyes as she went for the door. Yoko stood there, wanting to reach out. Guilt filling her face. Just as her hand retracted, almost miserably, the goth stood.
In all her five foot glory, shoulders straight as she went after the blonde, there wasn't a hint of hesitance in her movements, not threatened by the distraught werewolf in the slightly. The sight of this pseudo-stranger going to comfort her best friend, after a scene she herself caused, no less. Wednesday didn't even spared a glance back at the pityful vampire.
It really made her feel like shit.
