Chapter Text
Sapnap regrets coming to the mainland; first of all he was an autumn fairy, his wings not fit for summer heat, second of all he was only here for one of his friends. Said friend ditched him, and George, as soon as possible though; and them flying off is what caught these kids attention.
The kids who were yelling to one another as they chased the two fairies around with a bug net; Sapnap couldn’t do anything to stop them, he was an animal fairy, and George was a water fairy, with it being a hot summer day he definitely wasn’t going to be helpful. Speaking of the heat, Sapnap could feel his wings warping, the heat beating down on him paired with his fast flying wasn’t doing them any favors.
“Sapnap!”
Turning around Sapnap watched as the kids net snapped down on George. Then the kid sprung forward, and the net came down and got Sapnap; this wasn’t going to be good.
“I got ‘em! Dream’s gonna love this!”
Sapnap looked up to the top of the net, the kid had cut the exit off by wrapping his hand around it. Looking back down he tended to George, looking at his wings he could see them beginning to warp; the edges becoming curved and soft, if they stayed in the heat much longer Sapnap’s sure that both of their wings would break.
“Why does Dream get all your cool bugs?”
“Cause he’s my,” the kid yawned, “brother Jumi! I gotta go inside soon though! Bye!”
“Bye Tubbo!”
Then the kid, Tubbo, if Sapnap had to guess, was running towards the nearest human house. This definitely wasn’t going to end well. Getting to the base of the stairs the kid yelled out, cause the young man on the porch to jump.
“Dream! Dream!!”
He panted for a few seconds, before yawning, then he lifted the fairies prison up to the older one, Dream.
“Look at the bugs me and Jumi got in the net,” Tubbo shouted excitedly as he ran up the porches stairs. “They look like little sparkly people!!”
Dream crouched down then, getting to be just about eye level with them as they curled around each other in the bottom of the net. He even leaned in to stare at them for a moment; talk about creepy, he felt George shudder against him.
“You gonna let ‘em go Tubs?”
Sapnap scoffed, muttering lightly, “I wish he would.”
But no, the kid scoffed loudly, seemingly offended by even the idea of letting them go. “I always give you the cool bugs! You know that!”
The man laughed lightly, it felt mocking to Sapnap who looked up at him; this guy, hell even the kid, was annoying him. When he reached over and switched his hand with Tubbo’s Sapnap groaned, getting a soft nervous laugh from George.
“Dude! Just let us go man! What’re you even gonna do with us?” He was exasperated, these two were annoying.
But the larger ignored him, simply looking down to his brother.
“Did you say goodbye to Jumelle for the afternoon?”
“Yeah I did,” the kid replied questioningly.
“Well good! Cause with all that mess on you you’re gonna have to take a bath before your nap.”
The kid let out a loud annoyed groan before going inside, their current capture following slightly behind him. The further in they went the cooler it got, and Sapnap fluttered his wings experimentally; he sighed in relief when there was no pain, George doing the same moments later.
“How’re we gonna get out of this Sappy?”
Sapnap looked to George, he was shaking lightly, his wings anxiously twitching behind him; a sad sight.
Instead of saying anything Sapnap brought a hand to rest on his shoulder, leaning close to him and giving his cheek a soft kiss. They sat in peace like that for a few minutes, cuddled close as Dream moved into a dark room. The dark room didn’t stays dark for long, the human moving his window covers and letting light seep into it.
Then the man sat onto his bed, before reaching his hand in and grabbing them both. Sapnap and George both squirmed at that, being pressed so tightly after their wings just unbent couldn’t be a good thing; thankfully the humans skin was cool to the touch, so they didn’t need to worry about them overheating.
“Well, you two sure are interesting.”
They were brought up to his face, green eyes looking them over, lingering on each of them for a few seconds each. Sapnap just couldn’t get it out of his head, this guy was creeping him out; he and George continued to squirm, the latter even beginning to whimper lightly.
Then Dream’s other hand came over, and plucked George away from him.
“Hey! Let him go! George!!”
“Stop it!! Sapnap!”
He didn’t stop, just pulling them further apart before he began to squeeze them; they both shut up at that. After a few seconds Sapnap was able to let out a few panting breaths, the hand around him having relaxed just a bit.
Looking over to George Sapnap gave a sharp cry, the fist around him was tight and unrelenting, getting tighter and tighter. Before long loud cracks rang out, and George screamed.
It was horribly loud, and Sapnap is sure if he were any closer his ears would be bleeding; even the human seemed upset by it. Eventually, terrifyingly, the screaming stopped, and the human opened his hand. Sapnap felt hot tears sting the corners of his eyes; George was laying almost completely still, save for a twitch or two, his legs looked oddly bent, and his wings were folded onto each other.
It was terrible.
The human didn’t seem to think that though, and with no care for him, he began to poke and prod at George. Who breathlessly, told him to stop once or twice, shuddering. Sapnap fought hard against the hand he was still in, he had to get over to George; but he stopped fighting for just a moment when Dream spoke.
“Don’t tell me I broke you already?”
That had Sapnap seeing red, and after a second of shock he fought harder. Kicking out as best he could, whilst trying to dig his blunt nails into the skin of the mans hand.
“Broke him?! He isn’t some toy you motherfu-“
He was cut off when Dream looked his way and began to squeeze him once again. Not stopping for a while this time, with a hand tight around him Sapnap still tried to wriggle out; even when he felt his ribs beginning to ache, he could almost hear them creaking. But eventually the man got bored and stopped, loosening his hand just enough to let Sapnap breath.
He hadn’t gotten bored enough by them however, as he still “played” with them for a short while. He ruffled their hair, pulled at their clothes, even going so far as to take Sapnap’s off for a little bit; which despite the situation made him blush lightly, as he felt George’s eyes on him for a few seconds. The human also touched their wings, absentmindedly straightening George’s as he messed with Sapnap. Terrifyingly he even tossed George in the air, catching him and throwing him again; Sapnap yelled at him for that, but was only squeezed in response.
Eventually he sat George onto his pillow, back facing upwards; and he began to mess with his wings again, spreading them out, tracing over the pattern, tugging at them.
“Don’t touch his wings like that! You’re going to hurt him more than you already have!!” He was going to say more but the pressure on him increased, and Sapnap found it too hard to breathe, let alone talk.
After a few minutes Dream grabbed something from his pocket, Sapnap couldn’t tell what it was but the human held it up to George’s wings and it flashed a few time. After that he pointed it towards him, Sapnap did his best to lean away and avoid looking at it; but that didn’t seem to bother Dream who made the thing flash a few more times before moving it to put back into his pocket.
Before he could though there was a loud growl from his middle, and Sapnap wriggled slightly; being in the hands of a hungry creature never did anyone any good.
Dream put the device he’d been using down, still bright; and now that Sapnap got a solid look at it, it was reflecting everything they did, just at a smaller scale. With his hand now free he scooped George up into it.
Then he licked him.
Shit.
Then he licked his lips.
Fuck.
The growling from before was back again, lighter now, but back nonetheless. Sapnap watched in cold terror as George’s legs were slipped into the humans mouth. Then he was pulling at his arms, legs flailing as best they could while trapped in Dream’s tight fist.
“Stop it! Leave him alone! Don’t do this please,” Sapnap never thought in his life that he’d be begging a human not to eat his mate, but here he was screaming out to an obviously uncaring boy who was shifting his partner into his mouth.
Dream then looked to the device, and Sapnap felt like his blood was boiling as he saw that soft smile. After a few moments the man tipped his head back, and opened his mouth. For a few seconds George didn’t move down too far, he’d slipped lightly, but Sapnap saw his delicate fingers gripping the edge of the humans lip.
But soon enough his grip slipped, and Sapnap was screaming as Dream closed his mouth. The human looked down to the device, then at him. He could see drool dripping down from the corners of his mouth; Sapnap mentally tried to block out the sounds he was hearing, not only to stop listening to the soft growling below him, but to stop himself from hearing the crunch he knows is coming. Still screaming and fighting to get free the entire time.
But the crunch didn’t come.
Instead Sapnap found himself pressed against the cool flesh of Dream’s neck, saliva falling down onto the man’s wrist.
Then the human tipped his head back again, and swallowed.
Sapnap being pressed against his neck felt as George quickly slipped past him. He kicked against the neck as hard as he could, digging his nails into the pale flesh; but it didn’t do anything, he was too small to even leave a dent on it. The stomach below him grumbled, and Sapnap feels like he’s going to be sick.
“Absolutely delicious.”
That single phase had Sapnap angry again, don’t get him wrong he’d been mad, terrified, the entire time; but for the love of his life to be devoured, just to be called delicious, filled him with a rage he’d only rarely felt. Even then that anger wasn’t of any use; he’d tried to sink his teeth into the skin of the mans neck and hands, but just like his nails, he was too small, too weak, to do anything to truly hurt him.
Dream then pulled him away from his neck, and Sapnap felt as two fingertips grabbed the top sections of his wings. He went still, not wanting to tear them; but as he was lifted above the mans mouth he began to squirm lightly. Being lowered in he began to squirm harder, going so far as to try and kick at his teeth; but all that accomplished was his legs being caught between them. Hot air went past him before the man shift his grip once more, moving his fingers down to the base of his wings; Sapnap also took notice of the hard pressure Dream’s teeth put onto his hips, as if he could ignore it.
Then he began to pull.
Sapnap cried out loudly, trying his best to lean back with his wings; desperate to keep them attached. His legs flailed wildly in pain, and the teeth pressed down harder as he continued to cry and scream. Still the connection waned and in what felt like an eternity, yet no time at all, his wings tore free from their place on his back; he felt as his internal pixie dust seeped from the wound, he curled in on himself slightly. With the pain blossoming on his back he’d barely taken notice of the sharp crack from his lower body, one side of his hip was broken.
Still he was dragged into the hot, soaking wet, cave that was Dream’s mouth. Being shifted around for a short few moments before it opened again; Sapnap could see himself, Dream had moved to be right in front of the device that Sapnap had almost completely forgotten about. Seeing himself in such a sorry state was harrowing, and he softly dragged himself forward just a bit. Immediately he was pulled back, and looking towards his legs he could see they were trapped in the tight heat of Dream’s throat; not tight enough though, as Sapnap pulled himself free again, dragging himself further forward.
Only then Dream swallowed once more, twice more, thrice; until Sapnap found himself slipping down his throat, it was slow, much slower than George’s trip had been.
Somehow, Sapnap still found himself fighting; he knew he wasn’t getting out of this, but he just couldn’t stop himself from trying to anyway. So he pressed himself against the delicate flesh of Dream’s esophagus. Using his, previously thought, useless nails to slow himself down until he stopped altogether; that didn’t last long though. A single soft swallow from Dream had the muscle clap down on him and forced Sapnap further down; but still he kept at it, stopping himself every so often, only to be sent down further each time, no real progress being made.
Eventually he dropped into his stomach, which groaned and gurgled around him. It was disgusting to say the least, there was already food inside; a gross mix of what Sapnap assumed used to be a salad, and something lime green and sticky to the touch.
Still though, even as he was dropped into a place that was absolutely inescapable, he dragged himself over to one of the walls; hitting at it with his fists, pushing and clawing as best he could, hell even using his still working leg to kick at it a few times. All that accomplished though was getting a few gurgles and the wall dipping down slightly, something pressing in from the outside.
“Sappy… Stop,” Sapnap didn’t dare to turn around, he didn’t want to look at George right now. Not when he knows they’re both going to die.
He kept hitting at the wall.
“Please, god, please just stop!”
Now that makes him pause, and hesitantly he listens; still not turning around to face the other. They sat together, apart, for awhile, the stomach around them gurgling and groaning lightly; Sapnap can’t bring himself to look at him.
“I’m sorry,” he says it lightly, so light in fact that he’s almost positive the noise around them drowns it out.
“What do you have to be sorry for?”
Finally Sapnap turns around, eyes wet with tears, and he looks at George; his legs are crumpled and useless beneath him, wings broken off and soaking in the pool of liquid around him.
He’s a sad sight. Sapnap carefully drags himself over to his side, leaning against him softly, making sure not to disturb his legs.
“If I hadn’t dragged you out here with me, hell if I didn’t listen to-“
“You can’t blame yourself for that, come here,” and George loosely pulled him close, and gave him a light kiss, “This isn’t your fault, it’s the humans. What’s his name again? Dre?”
“Dream, I think.”
“Well you can’t blame yourself for getting… eaten… by him, it’s not like we could do anything…” and he yawns lightly, leaning back against the wall.
Sapnap copies him, leaning back into the surprisingly soft walls, like cotton or silk; they stay like that for just a few seconds.
Then the entire chamber presses down on them, squeezing tight, taking up air and pixie dust; Sapnap and George both screaming at the pressure it puts on their wounds, before quickly the space relaxes again.
After that they shakily try to relax again, George snuggling closer to him, and Sapnap leaning himself against the walls. The wall in front of them dips in slightly, and slowly the two of them begin to drift off, knowing that neither of them will wake up again; the loud grumbling around them, and the slight burning feeling, being sure to remind them.
Before he falls asleep Sapnap had one last short thought; he hopes that these humans never find another fairy.
