How/Why they are neglectful

SBI + Kristen-

Phil-In most au’s I see, Phil is always swamped up with work and he’s always neglecting Tommy because of that. Well, in this au, Phil neglects his whole family except Techno. Ever since Techno was 10, he’s been going on camping trips, hunting, adventuring, and hiking with Phil. Phil is rarely ever home, and that hurts his family. He’s been utilizing all the family’s savings to buy equipment for Techno and him so that they can go adventuring, etc.

Kristen-I have never seen any au where Kristen is not dead. I wanted to be a bit original, so I made it so that Kristen is alive. Kristen loves all of her children equally but is overworked, so she can’t pay any attention to them. Her relationship with Phil is strained, but she still loves him. Kristen is overworked and sleep-deprived. She rarely ever eats or sleeps. Even though all of that is happening to her, she always manages to get days off for her children’s birthdays and sometimes holidays. To make sure Techno and himself are taken care of, she must send Phil checks.

Techno- Tommy, and Techno were never really close, whereas Wilbur and Techno were. Wilbur and Techno were twins, so they were always together. Until Phil whisked him away to go on his first camping trip. Techno felt lost without Wilbur and felt homesick. But as Techno grew up and was away with Phil most of the time, the bond he shared with Wilbur disappeared and they became more distant. Techno has never talked to Tommy in his whole life, and he rarely talks with Kristen and Wilbur. On his 15th birthday, he got his hair dyed pink.

Wilbur- Wilbur loves his mom and Tommy. Wilbur used to love Techno, but never Phil. Ever since Wilbur could speak, he knew that Phil had always favored Techno. Techno was always smarter and more athletic than Wilbur. Wilbur has always loved writing, especially songwriting. Wilbur would write and sing songs to Tommy and Kristen. He met his new friends when he was 14. For the first 5 years of Tommy’s childhood, Wilbur had to take care of him. Once Wilbur turned 12, he stopped talking to his family and spent more time with his friends Niki, Eret, Jack, Fundy, and Sally. He has had a crush on Sally since he was 15.

Tommy- Tommy has a terrible connection with his whole family. He doesn’t even know what Techno or Phil look like. He hardly ever sees Wilbur or Kristen. Most people he knows think he’s blind to what has happened to his family. He knows it is not normal to not see your family or to cook dinner for yourself and your mom. In this au Tommy is young, but he isn’t oblivious. His oldest friend is Tubbo, who he met when he was 2. His mom knew Tubbo’s mom and they’ve been inseparable since. When Tommy was six, he met Purpled, and when he was seven, he met Ranboo. When Tommy was seven, he met Eryn, his best friend. He met Drista when he was ten, but they've been best friends since.

Chapter Text

Tubbo- Tubbo's real name is Toby, but at school Tommy accidentally called him Tubbo so the name stuck. Tubbo is Tommy's best friend. They met when they were two and have been inseparable since. Their mothers were close friends until Tubbo's mother died and Kristen was too busy to hang out with her. Tubbo's mother committed suicide because she was tired of Jshlatt's problems and was suffering from severe depression. It scarred Tubbo from seeing his mother's limp body placed in a coffin and lowered to the ground. (You can say how his mother died) Tubbo has scars from burns on his face because *insert how or why he has burns* Tommy was there to comfort Tubbo while grieving and never once blamed him for her death like Jschlatt did. Tubbo met Ranboo when he was 7 and introduced him to Tommy, Purpled, and Eryn, who Tommy had a year before. Tubbo is now in 5th grade of SMP Elementry School with Tommy, Ranboo, Drista, Purpled, and Eryn. Tubbo also has dyslexia.

Ranboo- Ranboo is Tubbo's and Tommy's best friend. Ranboo has memory problems and anxiety, so he has to keep a journal to write down everything. Ranboo also lives with his older sister. He walks dogs and helps his neighbors to help Niki with rent. They have managed to live off their parent's money that they gifted to them in their will. Ranboo's parents died when he was 4. He was stuck in foster care with his sister Niki. Once Niki turned 18, she inherited their parent's money. Their parents were very wealthy so Niki was able to get Ranboo out of foster care and get a quaint apartment. Ranboo met Tubbo and Tommy when he was 7. At first, he thought Tommy was really mean until he realized that he was just like him. Soon Tubbo, Tommy, and Ranboo became the closest of friends.

Chapter Text

Purpled- Purpled is one of Tommy's closest friends. He has a personality disorder and is/can be bipolar. (Only if you want to add it) He is a decent fighter and loves adventure. He is also super awkward when with new people and hates public speaking. However, he will stand up for his friends if he needs to. He was taught to fight by (insert person) and promised Tommy that when he was older and better, then he would teach him how to actually fight. His parents call him Grayson and are very closed off and insensitive to everything around them. Purpled was only born as something to please their own parents, who basically raised Purpled. His Grandfather was in WW2 and taught him how to use guns early on. He takes medication for his more violent tendencies. 

Eryn- Eryn is a pyromaniac. They put him in a mental hospital when he was 5 years old for setting his mother and his aunt on fire, on purpose (though it could never be proven). He is extremely unstable and the only reason he was accepted into school was because he was extremely smart and mostly well-behaved on medication. He has a police officer following him around everywhere. He meets Tommy by chance when he tries to escape his officer. He also gave Tommy a box of matches for not turning him into the officer when he was looking for Eryn. However, he did try to burn Tubbo when Tubbo accidentally spelled his name wrong. While he and Tommy are best friends, they can't see each other a lot because Eryn does a lot of school online and is constantly going back to the hospital.

Drista- Drista is Dream's sister. She doesn't know him very well because he moved away the second he turned 18 to get away from their family. She's very sassy and mature for her age. She despises Eryn because he tried to burn her hair. She tolerates Tubbo and Ranboo, but would much rather not talk to them or hang out with them. She constantly gets into fights with Purpled and calls him Daniel to annoy him. She teases Tommy a lot but not in a nice way. She's mostly a very mean and closed-off person and doesn't know why they call her their friend. She was molested as a child and has grown very wary of men, which is why she doesn't like Tommy's group. But they don't understand why and keep trying to become friends with her. She has a therapist despite being ten and adores them. They're extremely nice and help her get through the day whenever she needs to call them about a stressful day or complain about something that is bothering her.
