His solid form blocked Angel’s path. “Why, yes! There IS something I need. Something I need, indeed, my effeminate fellow!”
Angel paused and bit back a groan of frustration, telling himself that compliance would be easier… and safer. “What d’ya need, Smiles?” He said, averting his eyes from that dancing carmine gaze.
“I NEED for you to drop this gaga grudge of yours!” Alastor cocked his head to one side as he spoke. His yellow smile, with all its pointed edges, looked almost feral in the dim evening light. “While I’ve tolerated the high hat for the last few weeks, I think this behavior has run its course! Wouldn’t you agree?”
Angel shuffled his weight nervously from one foot to another, refusing to make eye contact. “I dunno what you’re talkin’ ‘bout, Smiles. I’ve been nothin’ but civil t’ ya,” he said, eyeing the shadows sliding around his peripheral with wary uncertainty.
Angel pushes Al too far, and then Al works overtime to get him back.
