Chapter Text
It took a while for Noya and Hinata to find help. They found a house and knocked on the door. The poor guy looked pretty startled to find two boys standing on his doorstep at such a late hour, especially since they had blood all over them. He asked plenty of questions but when he understood what happened to the boys,he promptly let them in as he called 911.
Suga stayed by his fellow classmates,Asahi and Suga as they waited for help. Asahi had fallen unconscious again but Daichi was awake and talking with Suga. He had another flashlight that they stored in one of the bus' compartments. He heard someone crying and he couldn't tell who it was until he used the flashlight to look around, discovering that it was Yamaguchi. The poor guy looked scared. Knowing what he had to do,he got up from where he was and carefully approached Yamaguchi, trying not to step on the others. He knelt down by Yamaguchi and started to calm him down.
Ukai was kind of pacing back and forth with worry as he waited for the two boys to return with help. How long has it been? 10? 20? 30 minutes now? He was starting to worry that something might've happened to the two boys. He would've gone instead but with Takeda down, the group needed some sort of adult with them.
But as if on cue,he heard sirens coming in the distance (A ambulance literally just drove by me-).
---
Ukai,Nishinoya, and Hinata were all checked out. Each of them were treated for *shock,as everyone else was,and the cuts and bruises they had but they were discharged after 4 or 5 hours of brief observation. Ukai had talked to some officers about the incident while he was being treated. He remembered bits and pieces before the crash but that was about it. The officers also talked to Nishinoya and Hinata.
Takeda was treated for his concussion. Fortunately, they ruled out any further head or spinal injury and he was cleared. But they decided to keep him overnight for observation purposes. Not that he was complaining. It didn't take long for Ukai to enter the room along with some officers. Ukai sat in the chair by the bed as the officers approached Takeda for his account. Takeda barely remembered anything other than driving home after the game then waking up in the wreckage.
Kageyama had been in plenty of pain until they gave him some sedatives and painkillers. He was out like a light in a couple minutes. When he woke back up, Hinata was asleep in a chair beside him, snoring of course. Kageyama would've thrown something at him to wake him up if he could move his arm. But alas,he could not. So he waited it out until Hinata woke up.
Daichi on the other hand had to have surgery on his shoulder to prevent further injury or infection from the glass. There were no further injuries found other than bruised ribs and some minor bruises and cuts. He woke up a little bit before Suga peeked in the room, holding a tray of hospital food for Daichi. Mama Suga came to the rescue to ease the wave of hunger that washed over Daichi.
Ennoshita had passed out as he was being loaded into the ambulance. The last thing he recalled was hearing the stubborn Tanaka voicing his disappointment that he couldn't ride in the ambulance with Enno. The paramedics kept telling him he couldn't since Tanaka had to be checked out himself but of course Tanaka didn't listen and Ukai had to drag him away from Ennoshita's ambulance. When Ennoshita woke up,it appeared the room was empty, which it was. He thought Tanaka must've been with doctors still until he heard him loudly talking with Suga about hospital food. Five minutes or so passed and Tanaka entered the room with two trays of food. One for Ennoshita, and the other was for Tanaka,of course.
It didn't take long for Yamaguchi to be in a wheelchair and moving around the hospital. He of course headed straight towards Tsuki's room when he was given the okay to. He sat beside his sleeping blonde friend, waiting for him to wake up. Worried flooded him,but alas,so did guilt. He couldn't explain why he felt guilty, but it was almost nauseating to him. He hadn't caused it. Not even Ukai was to blame. But the guilt still plagued him.
The first thing Tsuki saw when he woke up was the blurred figure of his green haired friend. Yamaguchi was crying beside him. Then he saw a tray of food in front of him with his absolute favorite treat on it- strawberry shortcake. Even without his glasses,he could still see the glorious sight. Of course Yamaguchi knew his favorite food. Why wouldn't he? Then Yamaguchi noticed Tsuki was awake and oh my,did the water work start flowing more, much to Tsuki's dismay.
Asahi had been in surgery for two hours or so. Not only was Ukai growing wary because of no updates, but Noya was growing distressed, worried about his upperclassmen. Of course, he wouldn't admit it. But he was overly worried.
Asahi woke up to a ringing in his ears and a bright light- in a hospital room. He didn't remember getting there. All he registered was a hand clasping his. He followed the hand to the owner and it was none other than Nishinoya.
