“Shall we?” he asked, his voice steady and cool, but there was something else buried in his words—a challenge, hidden beneath the smooth surface. One that he hoped Black Sapphire would take.
Black Sapphire hesitated for a split second, his eyes narrowing as he sized up the offer. There was a glint of suspicion in his expression, as if he expected some hidden trap, but that fleeting moment passed. With a sly, almost smug grin, he placed his hand into Clotted Cream’s, fingers brushing lightly against his. His other hand came to rest on Clotted Cream’s shoulder, fingertips curling over the fabric of his suit with practiced ease.
"Let’s," Black Sapphire drawled, his voice as smooth as ever, his grin never wavering.
When Clotted Cream Cookie hears about a mysterious radio host spreading rumors about the citizens of the Creme Republic, he decides to take matters into his own hands. It'll be an easy job - make a public statement, and assure the cookies. Easy. But when he unintentionally involves himself more than necessary, things get complicated.
Clotted Cream isn't sure how much more of this he can take.
