Ashe looks at the six-pack William placed on the desk. “What’s that?”
“Hm?” William looks up. “Oh, my dad pulled for me. I asked Vynce if he’d be cool if I brought some booze, just for fun. You don’t have to drink, but I was gonna. I just thought it might be fun to watch a movie drunk.”

“It's been a week. His… club. Say he hasn't been with them.”

So really, William had worse problems to deal with. His headache wasn’t the biggest concern. But god, did his head hurt.
One moment, William swore that he had barely managed to check the three of them into a motel nearby with what money he had. He had made some sort of agreement with Dakota and Vyncent (that William was really struggling to remember) while they were trying to settle in the room and figure out where to go from there.
And then now, William was here… somehow (he honestly didn’t remember the walk here, that probably wasn’t very good).

Fainting due to blood loss is probably one of the most embarrassing reasons Zephrael has fainted in recent memory. The party had come out of a big fight with quite a few people worse for wear. They had brought some healing potions but Rae had taken it upon himself to make sure they wouldn't have to use the limited amount they had. It wouldn't be for awhile before the party could head back into civilization for more supplies, having traveled too far to turn back yet still being ways away from their destination.

Chip stood over Gillion, the tip of his sword angled towards Gillion’s throat. A cocky smile spread across his face as he licked his lips, sweat dripping down his forehead.
“I think this counts me as the winner,” Chip said, his hands shaking with the exhaustion that seemed to drip from his form, “what do you think?”

Before she can doubt herself, Edyn is pushing her arms above the ocean's seal for the very first time, gripping onto docks of cool stone. The Oversea air is warm, assailing on every inch of skin, and it only worsens as she flops over onto the dock. Just the barest tip of her tail is still submerged.
Gillion’s careful, curious eyes peek out through the water. He watches as Edyn takes her very first breath, lungs contracting and expanding. It's... an indescribable feeling. Horrifically strange, and yet too natural to deny. She takes one breath in, then another. And another. Just practicing with the expansion of her lungs. Before she can question it, Gillion has risen to join her on the cold stone. Above water.
"I don't — " Gillion coughs.
"You're doing it! You — we're doing it!"
When she is seventeen, Edyn Tidestrider steals her brother away from the Elders and flees.
