Summary
Эта история - исправление и дополнение канона. Аниме очень классное, но ему отчаянно не хватает времени (и порой логики), чтобы достаточно хорошо раскрыть своих персонажей. Здесь акцент повествования смещен на Акселя и от его лица ведется большая часть глав. Больше времени уделяется построению отношений между членами команды. Хронология этой истории идет параллельно событиям в аниме, но другим путем. Будет уделяться много времени предысториям персонажей.

— Извини, но ты кто? — он встретился глазами с незнакомцем.— Мы друг друга не знаем.
Аксель бросил оценивающий взгляд на собеседника. Темный пиджак, идеально белая рубашка, правильно сидящая оправа очков, кожаный портфель, прямая осанка, острые серые глаза, не молод. Госслужащий вероятно. Может кто-то и выше.
— Незнакомцы, которые меня посещают, обычно оказываются либо юристами, либо убийцами.
Мужчина в ответ чуть приподнял уголки губ.
— Я могу быть и тем и другим. Меня зовут Абель Ренфорд. Я пришел, чтобы сделать деловое предложение.

Buck crept forward, glancing behind him once as if to check that May was following. He got to the table and paused, clearly unsure where to sit. Athena was about to speak up when May announced imperiously, “You have to sit next to me. I’m your most favorite sibling so you have to.”
“What about Harry?” Buck laughed, settling in next to May anyway.
“He’s a baby, he doesn’t count,” May dismissed.
Buck snorted, “How about this, you’ll be my favorite sister?”

Summary
Buck didn’t mean to fall in with the wrong crowd. If you’d asked him before, he would have said he didn’t know how to find the wrong crowd. But the streets were cold and lonely and sometimes Buck thought he would have been better off staying with his parents – at least until he turned 18. He never thought that for long; all it took was the memory of a fist colliding with his cheek, glancing off his nose, to remind him that he was right to leave. But being right to leave didn’t help with being cold and lonely.
His friends helped, though.
Or: Buck finds the wrong sort of people until he finds himself in LA, being arrested by Sergeant Athena Grant.

"I want you to be my foster parent.”
He says it like it's obvious. Like Bobby should have known this was coming- and maybe he did, but not today. Not so suddenly. Evan's words play in repeat for a long moment as Bobby collects his thoughts. He should have seen it coming, really, with how attached the younger boy seems to be to him. But the question still remains; Why Bobby? A part of him knows he can’t say no to Evan so easily. He’d learned that pretty quickly in the last few months of knowing the boy. Even still, he- he can’t do this. There’s just so much that could go wrong.

“Memory loss?” Evan frowns, because he wishes he had memory loss. He remembers pretty much everything about the last three hellish months of his life. At least, what he was awake for. “Like, amnesia?”
“Exactly like amnesia. You seem to be missing a few years of your memory. You believe you are twenty-one years old, correct?”
“Y-yeah.” Evan nods, mind racing, searching for the memories the doctor is telling him he’s lost.
“You are currently twenty-seven years old.” The doctor says. “You’ve been living in Los Angeles for a while now, according to your boss. You met him earlier, although I’m not sure how much you remember.”
“The guy with the rosary?” Evan’s voice catches. He remembers the stranger vaguely. He remembers being scared.

Or: Buck is injured during a call and wakes up as Evan. Evan's last memory is being held captive by a cult leader who kidnapped him while he was living in Peru.
