"“As Senku would say, ten billion percent that I don’t even have a single hint of romantic feelings for Senku,” Gen says, flapping his hand in front of his face, eyes closed, a meaningless smile curling his lips. “You guys are just making up silly stories again.” When he opens his eyes, Ryusui isn’t looking at him, but just past him, eyes narrowed, smirk gone. Gen turns his head and finds Senku standing there, his hand paused mid-air, as if he’d been about to touch Gen’s shoulder. His jaw is tight, his petrification scars distorted by the furrow of his eyebrows. His ears are red, stark against his pale skin.
“What’s up, dear Senku?” he prompts after a strangely long moment of silence.
“....Never mind, I forgot what I needed,” Senku mutters abruptly, turning on his heel and stalking off, shoulders stiff, fists clenched."
Gen says the wrong thing at the wrong time. It takes a while for everyone to get on the same page.

Summary
Gen Asagiri is a gentle soul, but everyone has their breaking point. When Senku is shot, something freezes and shatters within him. He will not be kind. He will do everything he can, the very best he can manage, to ensure not one more person he cares about is hurt.
Gen's POV in the beginning, swaps to Xeno's POV for the final battle and aftermath.
There was a book quote, Gen wasn't sure where he'd first heard it. There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man. Well, the Kingdom of Science had no shortage of gentle men. Beneath his masks, deep down where his true self hid beneath the layers of acting required to be so deep undercover, Gen Asagiri was also very, very angry.

Okay, technically, Robin might have a stalker. That, or Jason is having a stress-induced psychotic break or being routinely dosed with fear toxin every few patrols. Not that he’s scared, because, well, he’s not. It’s just. He’s supposed to be watching the streets, not vice versa.
It takes him a full week to find (circumstantial, at best) evidence.
