Evan glanced around the quiet town. “What’s so special about this place? A boarding school and a pub? Hardly worth a song.”
Barty’s lips curled into a smirk. “It’s not the place, it’s the feeling. Chaos has a way of hiding in the dullest places.”After his mother and sister leaving at eleven, Evan Rosier has spent the last few years slipping through life; bouncing between schools, partying, and trying to ignore the person his father wanted him to be. Now, with nowhere else to go, Evan is sent to yet another boarding school, a place he expects to be just like the rest: dull, stifling, and full of disappointment. But when he is sent away from his home in Marseille, he reunites with his estranged sister, and stumbles into a world he wasn’t prepared for, everything begins to shift. In this new world, Evan is forced to confront the pieces of himself he thought he’d buried forever, discovering both freedom and chaos along the way.

Evan Rosier was bored. To remedy this rather irritating situation, he joins BICM—an elite international law enforcement agency—despite his utter disdain for rules, regulations, plain-coloured uniforms, and, frankly, people in general. There’s also the slight inconvenience of his family ties to the infamous House of Black, the world’s most notorious crime syndicate.
From the start, Evan bonds with Dorcas Meadowes, a driven, no-nonsense magizoologist-turned-law officer who couldn’t be less like him. Against all odds, they form an unstoppable duo, diving headfirst into the world of international crime-fighting. And, to Evan’s surprise, things might actually work out for him.
If only it weren’t for his cousin’s obsessive, somewhat psychopathic friend who insists on being Evan’s boyfriend. And for the record, everyone who bothered to listen knew one thing for sure: Evan didn’t do boyfriends.

this was their post:Evan is like a Greek statue, carved and moulded to embody perfection and beauty in a way no one else could capture.
Barty is a struggling artist searching for his muse in a museum when he spots Evan, reading the informational brochure while looking up at his favourite work of art.
And he's a vision. Messy blond hair and piercing blue eyes, everything around them blurs and Barty wishes he were a photographer to capture this image in his head because it's everything he's ever searched for. Then he turns and they make eye contact and that's it, that is exactly what he's been searching for this whole time.
Then comes Pandora, who holds just as striking beauty but doesn't capture Barty's attention in the same way. She pulls Evan away from the art piece, away from Barty, and doesn't return. Barty spends the next few months trying to capture that moment in all media's, nothing quite captures him in the way he wishes, but this madness is the only way he will likely ever see him again.
