His expression softened as he pulled my cards off the table, examining them.
"Vhatcha doin?" I chuckled lightly.
"Might need a souvenir. For after the war." he grinned, but not maliciously. I know he meant it. He tucked the cards into his pocket. A ten of diamonds, seven of clubs, and two of hearts.
But neither of us are saying,
what if this war sees no end?
Tankie (Valentin) and Nazi (Pieter) are fighting the centrist threat day by day. But, war drags an individual through struggles not known. Through victory and hardship, they have to abandon their alliances and ideals to discover what it truly means to be human.
