“From what I’ve read I, uh, I don’t think they let chubby guys have sex.” He chuckled, making sure Pete knew he was joking, but deep down he was covering up a genuine worry.
“Yeah, well,” Pete shrugged, “If we’re going off the mainstream I don’t think gay Black men get to have sex either. But that sure won’t stop me.”

Ray's finally healed enough from his bullet wounds that he and Pete can get intimate. They're both a little awkward and unsure but incredibly eager.
