Summary
Farya glances quickly between the two men a few times before settling her gaze on Aban. “Should I… introduce myself? Since we’re all here…”
Aban gives her a soft smile. “If you want to,” he tells her. “You don’t have to stay if you’re not comfortable.”
She nods to herself, then looks over Aban’s head to look at Ivo. “My name’s Shadow.” What. “Nice to meet you.”
—————————
During a movie marathon date night at Aban’s house, Ivo unexpectedly meets his partner’s son.

Summary
“It’s… It’s in my file. You read it before I was assigned to you.” A beat. “Didn’t you?”
Robotnik rolls his eyes so hard that Stone worries he’ll give himself a migraine, provided he didn’t already have one from working for so long. “As if I’d remember something as unimportant as a faceless agent’s name,” he scoffs. “I only needed to know what skills and prior work you possessed if you were to work for me. But now it’s clear you’re not leaving any time soon. I should know these things.”
Stone can’t help but beam at him.
“Do you need me to hold your hand? Need me to go first?” he says condescendingly with a raised eyebrow. “My name is Ivo. Your turn.”
----------
During an unexpected day-long shift to finish the assembly of Robotnik's latest creation before its deadline, Stone and Robotnik finally learn about each other as people.

Summary
During Robotnik’s early stages of recovery, Stone would stay as close to the man as he’d allow. Though Robotnik never said it aloud, the agent knew he enjoyed the closeness. When the doctor was in his full body cast, Stone would spend his waking hours at his side and sleep on the floor beside him on a stolen air mattress. When Robotnik was eventually moved from the makeshift hospital bed to the large bed he convinced Stone to actually sleep on, they would lay side by side, hands just barely touching, staring either at the ceiling or at each other in comfortable, companionable silence. At some point, they started laying closer. Their hands overlap, their heads share the doctor’s pillow. Their foreheads press together. They have yet to talk about it, but Stone doesn’t think they need to. He loves their new, blooming relationship, whatever it is.
----------
Stone and Robotnik hold each other in a moment of quiet in the Crab, and Stone admires the man before him.

Summary
Robotnik watches his hand like one of his Badniks, locked onto its target. As he inhales sharply, time seems to slow.
No one touches Robotnik, accidentally or purposely. If there’s one thing about him that everyone on the base knows, even more they know of his genius, it’s that he is not to be touched if they want to keep all their limbs intact. Even when he’s crowding in someone’s personal space and looming over them, he never – never – touches them. Not even with Stone. It doesn’t even cross his mind to use his hands.
He has one exception to the rule, but that exception is Agent Stone. Not Commander Walters, whose hand is mere inches away from his own.
His own hands, which are without their protection. Without his gloves.
----------
While in a meeting, Commander Walters reaches to pat Dr Robotnik on the arm. When Agent Stone swats his arm away, the hand makes contact with the doctor's bare hand. Robotnik does not handle it well.
