In which after they were saved from the Xuanwu Cave, Wei Wuxian was punished by Yu Ziyuan and he has decided that he had enough. Wei Wuxian defected from Yunmeng-Jiang Sect. He left and he did not look back.

Everyone has their own resolution for the s02e18 break up. Here's mine. It comes in moments, not grand gestures.
"What would he have done, Magnus?" Jace asked coolly, one foot already out the door. "If it had been you, if you were the one to mess up, what would he have done?"
They both knew the answer to that, and it broke Magnus' heart all over again.
"Stayed," Magnus finally whispered, shattering whatever illusions he'd been clinging to since the day he left Alec at the infirmary.
