Summary
“Well, I hope it was to your…liking…” Her words slowed to a halt as their eyes met. It was as if G’raha was staring into an ocean, glimmering with pearls and coral and all of the star’s natural wonders.
It was as if he'd known that ocean his whole life.
She tilted her head, eyes still locked to his. “Have we…met before?”
Had they? Despite how his heart leaped and pounded at everything this woman seemed to do…his mind could offer no explanation for this. “...No. No, I don't believe we have.”

“Now then,” She smiled. “Are we ready to begin?”
G’raha returned the expression, lost to her power. “Yes, my warrior.”
“Good.” She gently set G’raha down on her shoulder. “Let us put this dying world to rest, my dear.”
A glimpse at another outcome of the Eighth Umbral Timeline.

Summary
“You know, I’m so tired after all that hard labor today… Would you…” She stared up at G’raha, visible blue eye half lidded. “Help me take my clothes off so I can take a bath?”
“Yes,” he responded, (perhaps a little too breathlessly). “Yes, I can do that.”

Summary
“Ah, I was gonna go into Il Mheg to help the fae with their dreamland, if you'd, um, like to tag along…?” She glanced back at him. “...Could be a fun adventure?”
He stiffened. “...Il Mheg. The faerie kingdom.”
“Unless another Il Mheg popped up, yeah.”
“Are you not…worried the fae will make you the victim of a practical joke?”
Rana shrugged. “Not really? I mean, I am the king’s [beloved sapling] so…the fae have not really been keen on messing with me. And if you're with me, that'll probably go the same for you.” She bit her lip, offering him an awkward smile. “...Probably?”
A harmless outing turns into something much less amusing.

Summary
“Rana!” Her head shot up as G’raha came rushing over, eyes sparkling. “Do you have a hair tie I could borrow?”
Rana blinked at the sudden inquiry. “Oh! Oh, yeah, sure!” She held up her wrist to showcase the elastic wrapped around her wrist. “Did you lose yours?”
“Regrettably, yes,” he sighed. “I must have done my braid too loose today. Truth be told, I am still getting used to the…extra length.”
“I mean,” Rana twisted the tie around in her hands. “…I could do your hair. If you wanted.”
Braiding hair turns out to be a lot more complicated than it should be.

Summary
Kelta rested his head in his arms. Melancholy washed over him suddenly. He folded his ears back, away from the chilled wind. He was used to being alone for long periods of time. However, on quiet nights like this, when he’s alone with his thoughts, he can’t help but long for companionship.
A thought then occurred. He could go to bed, cold and alone. Or mayhap…Kelta smiled as he made for the door. The latter sounded more appealing.
Walking out into the quiet hallway of the Baldesion Annex he had just one person on his mind: G’raha.
