Summary

Thursdays are Lan Zhan’s slow days, so after breakfast he sits on the couch and reads an update of the emperor Nie Mingjue and first concubine Wei Ying story he reluctantly subscribed to. Lan Zhan also has an emperor story with Wei Ying as the shou—all of his stories have Wei Ying as the shou, so this is a given—but Lan Zhan has a romantic omegaverse epic, wherein the alpha emperor, Lan Wangji, has since childhood been betrothed to Wei Ying, omega prince of the neighboring contentious kingdom, in order to facilitate benevolent relationships and peaceful generations to come. This is an ongoing story of Lan Zhan’s, one he’s been writing for around nine months now, and it is tallied at almost five hundred thousand words. He updates regularly.

Hua Cheng probably didn't construct the canopy in the Gambler's Den for this particular use. Probably.
In all of their long lives, neither of them had expected Xie Lian to have such unconventional desires. But, as it turned out, eight hundred years of abstinence had worked some incredible magic, and far from being endlessly shy and easily flustered like he had been in the early days, Xie Lian had turned out to be…well. Enthusiastic was a mild way to put it.

Summary
Xie Lian is panting for breath, his whole body shaking while he tries desperately to get something, anything from this current position. He can’t even rut against the soft mat to get some relief, because Hua Cheng has him so thoroughly pinned.
He squirms, and Hua Cheng laughs softly.
“Your sutra, gege. Get it right, and I’ll keep going.”
Xie Lian whimpers.
