James catches Cordelia before she arrives at Matthew’s flat. Basically, I simply can’t stand for James to suffer yet again for something that is not! his! fault!!

It was a stupid thing to say and Inej knew it. She absolutely did need him – he was practically dangling a whole new life right in front of her face, after all – but Saints, he was damnably irritating.

But the sight she’s greeted with takes her breath away faster than the frigid weather. Kaz is seated at his desk with his shirtsleeves pushed up and hands bare. He shuffles a deck of cards and the way they move between his long, slender fingers is reminiscent of wind in tall grass.
