Hwang In-ho, a police officer, has his life turned upside down when he decided to join the 28th edition of the Squid Games in 2015. Even now, 7 years later, as a detective, he is still trying to navigate life with the scars that the games had left in him. He's faced with the duality of forgetting the games and take revenge of the evil organization, battling with this decision for so long and, as a result, pushing away everyone in his life.
Until he met Seong Gihun.
Gihun, reserved, positive, stubborn, the walking typhon, the living hurricane Gihun, enters In-ho's life like a storm, and he's there to stay. Gihun will challenge the walls that In-ho built around himself and break the distrust he has of people, showing him that there is always a light, despite the darkness.
Will In-ho be able to let Gihun in his life and let himself be happy? Or will he push him away, wanting Gihun's safety despite his feelings?

Summary
Squid Game AU where In-ho never accepted being the frontman. 7 years after the events of the 2015 games, In-ho still struggles to navigate life with the ever-growing grudge and hatred he has for the games. Being this closed off, reserved person, his life turns upside down when he meets a bartender named Seong Gihun.
Now with Gihun in his life, everything changes. In-ho finds himself enjoying the presence of such a man in his life. Too much. Gi-hun might put himself in danger if he keeps trying to get closer to In-ho. The detective's plans make a turn to the unexpected. In-ho's priority shifts. Will he finally get over the fear of connecting with people for their safety or will his obsession with stopping the games consume him and hurt Gihun?

Once they had a serious conversation about what went down in the Monster Association’s lair, how Badd defended him, how the Hero Association sucks. They haven’t spoken yet about what went on inside Garou’s head, but Badd is pretty sure he grasped the jist of it: they share the same view on what an ideal hero should be and what they should not be (which is: Amai Mask). This is why Badd left the Hero Association after what happened.

Sangwoo shuffled as to sit face-to-face with Ali, and Ali imitated him. The older nodded.
“Sure. What are you thinking about?”
“We could play 20 questions!” Ali proposed.
Sangwoo hesitated. Was Ali the type to ask personal questions? Could he fuck it up that easily? Well, there was no point in not trying. After all, he could learn some facts about Ali.
“Sure. You can go first.”
Because what could go wrong?

Summary
"Hyung? Hyung, you're not responding." Ali's voice echoed around the vast emptiness of the void, and Sangwoo wanted to cover his ears and scream. "Why are you covering your ears?"
"Go away, Ali," Sangwoo hissed. He didn't want to deal with this right now. All he wanted was to wake up and get out of this hellhole.
"But I'm already here," Ali replied, and Sangwoo realized, to his horror, that there was indeed a human shadow looming over him right at that moment. Glancing upward, he came face-to-face with the very man that he had sentenced to death a couple hours prior.
On the night after the marbles game has finished, Sangwoo dreams of the man he deceived.
