Summary
All throughout high school, Frank and Gerard were an unlikely, inseparable pair; Frank with his girlfriends and his guitar and unmatched charisma for his height, Gerard with his sketchbook and his Walkman and a kind of genius that only Frank seemed to get.
Frank was never great about talking about his feelings, and Gerard always felt the need to hide his. As they grow up and navigate life, careers and relationships, things get complicated, and no matter what, no matter how far they drift, they just can’t seem to stay apart.
* This story takes place over the course of more than a decade, starting when Frank & Gerard are 18.

Frank wasn't afraid of Mikey's weird older brother — he was afraid of vampires.
There was a difference. It wasn't personal, but it probably felt that way when the sun would start sinking in the sky and Frank would suddenly have to get home right away.

Disclaimer: I stole frequently and unrepentantly from Joss Whedon and the makers of various horror movies throughout this whole series. Also I am not an expert on the Vatican or medical-type things, so please accept my apologies in advance for all the wild inaccuracies I am sure you are about to encounter. If everyone could just assume this is the Magical Made-Up Vatican, you know, like the religious institution version of those tour buses that drive themselves and don't carry anyone but the band, that would be awesome.
