Summary
It wasn’t just words. It was the way Beomgyu had looked at him, perpetually disappointed, that crushed what little bit of his soul was still pulsing along faintly. Guilt had made its home in his chest, and it reared to life at Beomgyu’s prodding.
“This is your one chance.” Beomgyu rasped out, voice weak. “To repay him for saving your life. He’s the one who swam you to safety when we hit water. He’s the one who pulled you out of the capsule. He won’t say a word or ask you for your thanks, but you owe him.”Yeonjun intended to stay a ghost, tucked into the crevice of the galaxy where no one would know his name. When the living call ghosts by name, Yeonjun has to choose between self-preservation, and loyalty to who he loves most. This time, he has more to protect than himself.

Summary
“You don’t have to.” Soobin reminded. “You don’t owe me this.”
Taehyun let his fingers play with the button of Soobin’s shirt for a moment, eyes downcast and lashes shielding his gaze. His fingers hovered near Soobin’s collarbone, briefly tracing the warm line of it before sliding away.
Soobin stayed still, aside from the way his breath caught a little. Held and then released as soft as butterfly wings against Taehyun’s arm. Taehyun tugged once more on the collar of his shirt, and then went still.
“I want this.” he dared to affirm, quiet and careful. “You should know this about me.”
Soobin didn’t nod, but his eyes flitted back and forth between Taehyun’s, still searching, still checking that this was allowed- that this was okay. It was evident from the way his chest rose and fell with a careful slowness, like he was measuring his breaths, that he was understanding the price that came with Taehyun’s vulnerability.
“Okay.” he whispered back without moving. -

Soobin tilted his head, features highlighted by the soft blue lighting. Yeonjun wanted to believe he wasn’t a threat. Wanted to believe he wouldn’t hurt him.
“Are you sure?” Soobin replied.
Yeonjun nodded. He wasn’t sure but that’s why he needed to do it. Because he was scared, and he would never get over his fear by running away. He had done enough running.
