With a mere twitch of his hand, the familiar press of his power manifested. Your wrists were drawn together above your head, suspended in place by a gravitational field that was imperceptible yet inescapable. Your legs, too, were manipulated, gently parted, your feet gliding across the floor until you were standing exposed, restrained but untouched.

Your train of thought was interrupted by Zayne’s finger tilting your head back, pulling a gasp from your lips as your head bumped into his chest, making you make eye contact with him as he loomed over you. Suddenly, he was all you could see, those gold-green eyes catching yours, stealing the breath from your lungs.
“I asked you a question,” he said, his voice low, the kind of tone that sent heat pooling low in your belly.
“You’re going to have to tell me what you want, my love.”
His hand slid from holding your chin to the sides of your neck, his fingertips tracing light patterns along your skin, teasing, taunting in a way that made you shiver.
“Otherwise,” he said, the corner of his mouth twitching in dark amusement, “how am I supposed to please you in return?”
