A garbled, dry laugh bubbles up from his chest.
Yeah, sure. Of course. A wolf finds him, just in time for dinner. He doesn't even have the energy to panic, his body feels like it's dissolving into the dirt. Becoming one with the forest floor.
Death by wolf. So on brand.
The warmth of the wet snout vanishes and, weirdly, Jisung almost misses it. There had been something oddly comforting in the nosing. Gentle, even.
Then someone swears. Human. Soft. Nearly drowned out by the rain. Jisung hadn't heard anyone approach.
"Hey," that someone says, and suddenly there are hands on Jisung's shoulders. Gentle. Firm. "Can you hear me?"
(Or: Jisung is an aspiring producer in a slump, following his best friend out to the countryside for a change of pace. What he finds there might change more than just his perspective.)

Summary
Minho didn’t finish medical school. He doesn’t even really consider that he went to medical school. He dropped out two weeks into the semester.
“But you have cats,” Jisung wheezes. “And you can like—you know—diagnose, or something.”
Minho blinks blankly at him from the opposite side of his kitchen table. He looks down. “This cat is injured.”
Jisung stops his pacing. He looks at Minho like Minho is the one that implicated him in whatever crime he committed against this poor animal. He sniffs. “Are you joking?”

Han Jisung stands on Lee Minho’s doorstep with a half-dead cat and enough allergies to send him to an early grave.

When he comes home one evening to find Beomgyu literally wrapping said ridiculously pretty prospective relationship partner in bows like a present, he most definitely is not drunk enough to be cool with that.
