Summary
Well, actually, that’d be incorrect. It started with the aftermath of a fight. The aftermath of the fight against Scaramouche in Sumeru, actually. Because the thing about the matter is that, when it’s all said and done, Scaramouche is just a man who has been heartbroken one too many times by the world around him. Aether remembered standing there as his wounds were being addressed, seeing the way the man knelt on the ground, battered and bruised and cut up even worse than they had been; just staring at the anemo vision resting in his lap like it had been mocking him and his attempts at becoming a god.
Aether offers Scaramouche a chance to live life to its fullest together, and they start traveling together. Feelings arise, but nothing is done about it, until a certain redheaded Snezhnayan decides to play matchmaker in the way he knows best: by being a little shit.
