    Summary

Accidental Parenting is, among other things, about Hal and Bruce adjusting after Hal's absence of a year during which he was believed to be dead.
The other parts of this series (one-shots) explore what happens when Hal's been gone for longer (5 years, 11 years, 15 years and 20 years if I ever manage to write all this) before he returns (basically they all start after the 1 part of chapter 6 of Accidental Parenting.

    Summary

    Bruce didn’t want to die.

But he could think of no death more beautiful for a dying father.

To have achieved it in protecting his son, cradled in the arms of a boy once too small to wrap his arms around his waist.

It pained him to leave his son so early, so abruptly, but if it had to happen, Bruce couldn’t think of a more worthwhile death.

    “I love you.”

Bruce keeps dying. He does not know that he's already died multiple times today but his children do. And they're going to save him.

(Groundhog Day fic told entirely from the perspective of someone who doesn't remember the loop.)

    Summary

Mistakes on missions happen all the time, but one in particular binds Bruce and Hal together in a way neither of them were anticipating. Though, sometimes all it takes is one stupid snafu to realise that maybe the colleague you’re supposed to dislike isn’t actually all that bad.
