Summary
“I think… that no matter what I do I’ll still be me. Even if I’m older, or my personality changes some. Even if I end up halfway across the world, I would still be me.”
He’s always been like that. So self-assured. You wouldn’t know it unless you really knew Wonwoo. He seems quiet, shy, reserved. He always used to say he had a weak presence and didn't fit in anywhere, but that was so far from the truth. He was like a lighthouse. Constant, steady. Waiting. Not like Soonyoung. Soonyoung was the storm.
From childhood friends to high school sweethearts, Wonwoo and Soonyoung grow together as they both find success in their careers - Wonwoo a prolific scholar and Soonyoung a successful solo artist. Soonyoung was never any good at loving anyone though, and they ultimately grow apart. Soonyoung abandons his family and his career to live quietly in Boston, MA, numb to his feelings. He resigns himself to a life of exile, the one he thinks he deserves.
He never expects his past to catch up with him so far from home.

Summary
Most of his days are like this, in the weeks since the end of the season, since he’d imploded everything; he’s nearly at the point of losing track of the days, everything slowed, three major tasks a day to accomplish around time spent the way a four year old dictates. Trent’s had a near 300% increase in tea parties in the last month of his life, but then Evie declares that she’s poisoned the tea, and Trent has to gag and slump over on the floor, and he wouldn’t turn down an Evie Crimm tea party if the Queen invited him for her own.
But he’s definitely going to make sure he limits the amount of news about the mysterious deaths of Russian journalists that she’s exposed to, next time one comes up. Her plots have become very elaborate.
He has an optometrist’s appointment and brings Evie to help pick out his new glasses; takes her to a speech therapist who reassures Trent that it’s very common for four year olds to do one year of speech therapy and then never need it again; they go to museum after museum and take guided tours that they sneak off from conspiratorially; mostly, Trent spends time with his daughter, and doesn’t think about football at all, but does think about Ted Lasso a lot.
