“Global Times is trying to discover the identity of Mysterion. I want you to get the scoop first.” She began writing an email, not looking at him. After a minute she looked up at Kyle for the first time. “What are you still doing here?”
“How am I supposed to do that?” Kyle asked, trying not to squeak as he asked. It was impossible. People had been trying to figure out his identity for years and no one had even gotten close. Mysterion had a whole PR team dedicated to keeping his identity under wraps.
“That’s for you to figure out. You’ve got two months.”
“Or?”
“Or you won’t work here any longer.”

God, Clyde knew he really shouldn’t find smoking as attractive as he did, but fuck, did something about watching someone smoke, especially watching Kenny smoke. He never mentioned anything to Kenny about it, not wanting to encourage him exactly, and if Kenny noticed him watching Kenny smoke a little too intently over the years, he didn’t mention anything to Clyde about it.
Kenny took another hit and met Clyde's gaze. Calming blue eyes softening and crinkling at the corners. His mouth quirked up at the sides in a silent smirk. Then Kenny winked at him.
