“Jungkook-ah,” he’s floating next to his body, detached and terrified, unable to stop, “I wrote a song. For you.”
The words are uncontrolled and explosive as they trip out of his mouth, leaving Namjoon silently screaming in horror. Because even Jimin’s eyes have gone wide where Namjoon hasn’t looked away from as he had spoken. The startled twitch of his eyebrows clearly says Jimin has understood the meaning beneath the sudden revelation.
Jungkook freezes in the corner of his eye and Namjoon has to look away from the relative safety of Jimin’s eyes to the boy next to him.
There’s glee in Jungkook’s entire posture as a slow grin spreads across his face. His eyes are sparkling under the warm studio lights. “Really?”

Or, the one where Namjoon's been in love with Jungkook for years, refuses to talk about it, and writes a song about Jungkook to take the edge off. He accidentally gives it to Jungkook. Jimin may go grey before Namjoon ever decides to open his eyes and see what's right in front of his face.
Oh, and Yoongi and Jin haunt the narrative with their soulmatism.

“…will do it, right, Ash?”
He tugs the microphone down towards his mouth and still tugging at the ring, says, “Sure, yeah, sweetheart.” Because it’s Calum and there’s hardly any point pretending he won’t do whatever Calum wants.
The deafening bellow of screams that erupts from the crowd shocks him into sitting up, the ring tearing free through the jeans at the sudden movement, leaving a tear right up his thigh. Shit. These are his second-favourite jeans. His heart settling into a frantic beat, he looks up into the spotlights and tries to find his bandmates in the wash of light.
“What?” He says into the microphone. “What happened?”

Or, the one where Ashton accidentally calls Calum 'sweetheart' and then can't stop doing it. But he thinks too much and Calum just wishes Ashton would make a move.

“I’m, uh,” Luke starts and stops, fiddling with his thumb ring. He shakes himself like he’s stopping a tangential thought and looks up at the three of them. “I’m kind of dating someone?”
Michael doesn’t react.
The news, although accompanied by a dull stab of pain somewhere within the vicinity of his heart, isn’t surprising. He’d watched Luke sneak back into the house with goofy smiles and barely receding hickeys for the past two weeks. So unless Luke had met a nice vampire out in West Hollywood, there was no other possibility. He’d known.
And that's not even how it starts.

Michael is in love with Luke. That much is clear. Well, to Calum, Ashton and the rest of the world anyway. Luke is blissfully oblivious to the blatant signs. He gets a girlfriend. Michael tries to move on.
