Dorian is the protector of the house, and sometimes that looks like solving a dispute, fixing a lover’s quarrel, or simply just keeping the human from going outside with the Dateviator.
There is no better door for the job like him, really.

Tommy's fallen into the trap of caring for someone who probably only thinks of him as livestock, but he can't seem to let go. After all, he's never met anyone else who was so good at pretending to like him.
Wilbur just wants to be friends with the small, possibly homeless human child who cuddles with him every Sunday and won't accept money for anything but his blood. As he bitterly puts it, he 'doesn't want any pity.' Wilbur can't help but feel attached.

Tommy, tiny, mumbling Tommy - Tommy with the newly protruding fangs and the supposed 'heart of gold,' was well aware of what he was doing as he shoved mud-covered fingers back inside of his mouth, right after his older brother had told him not to.
Oh, dear God.
Wilbur sort of wanted to melt under the burning sun at that point. (Maybe he could really turn to dust if he tried hard enough?)

Wilbur had been given the task to look after a three-year-old Tommy during his teething season. It was arguably not going great if Technoblade's mild amusement, Phil's flaming anger, and the mud smeared over his baby brother was anything to go off of.

Still curled up in pain, Tommy almost misses it—almost misses the dilation of Techno’s pupils, almost misses the constant chuff, chuff, chuff, and snort, snort, snort, as Techno’s head dips down to look at him. But Tommy’s been looking for it all week, so, as if magnetized, Tommy still lifts his pained head upward.
