The first shiver curled up her spine like fire, crawling through her muscles and making her knees buckle. Her lungs burned with every ragged breath, and a pressure rose behind her eyes so intense it felt like they might shatter. Bones creaked and shifted unnaturally. Her fingers were stretched into sharp claws, her ribs bent unnaturally and every tendon screamed in protest. Rumi collapsed onto the floor, her teeth gnashing as fur erupted along her arms and spine, prickling, itching, spreading in angry, hot waves.

Summary
After what seemed like an eternity, Kyle is holding his newborn daughter in his hands. After staring at her face in awe, he finally is able to mutter the words “she’s... adora-” The word adorable is interrupted by a large blast that shakes the ship. Kyle holds on to his newborn baby daughter with all of his might through the shaking. He eventually hands her to Mara, who is laying against the wall. He kisses Mara and says “I’ll be right back, take good care of her”.
“Before you go...” Mara begins, “I like that name”.
“Wh-what name?” Kyle asks.
“The one you just said... Adora”

My own take on the story of She-Ra, inspired by the characters and lore mainly from the new series with a few references to the old one. Basically, Mara and Kyle are from Earth, and after a dust up with Horde Prime, they are forced to send their newborn baby Adora into a pocket dimension so she has a chance to survive on Etheria. 18 years later, she's grown up. This is her story.

The girl looks up at her again, and it's just as she thought. Mismatched eyes, one blue and one goldish-brown, look straight through her, too groggy to show a hint of recognition, but they're hers all the same ...
"C-Catra?" she tries unsteadily, eyes brimming with tears.
She gets a small, pained smile in return. "H-Hey... Adora."
(Adora and Catra reunite six years after a bad falling out in a dying world ravaged by extreme weather and rampant disease. Can they learn to come together again when dire circumstances try so desperately to pull them apart?)

The fire climbs to an even greater height, crackling and whipping in the light desert breeze. Catra watches it with rapt attention, fearful to let her gaze linger on Adora for too long.
“But we don’t have to fight, you know,” Adora says. “I mean...what’s the point of it now? There’s no rebellion here. And no Horde. There’s just you and me, and a lot of things that wouldn’t hesitate to kill either of us.”
“So, what?” demands Catra. “We pretend to be a team again? After everything?”
“If it keeps us alive,” says Adora. “I’m willing to put all that aside if you are.”
Catra and Adora end up exiled to the Crimson Waste together. If they're going to conquer gangs, quicksand, serpents, and other desert threats, they'll need to learn to trust one another again.

Welcome to Styx City, populated by a mix of humans and bioengineered people developed by Nyx Industries. These new type of humans are known as the Keres. Despite protests and treaties for their freedom, the Keres still live under a closely surveyed rule, seen only as ‘just androids pretending to be real people’. Some Keres choose to accept the life they've been given. Others choose to break free and Disconnect, forming their own identities and becoming Offline Keres, or 'Ghosts'. This is an action punishable by death.
In this city of neon, two people--Catra, a bartender with many secrets, and Adora, an Angel who feels undeserving of her wings--try to survive with their own sets of problems and regrets. The city should've turned them cold, but instead, they find warmth with each other. Their forbidden bond is sometimes the only thing that can keep them going.
And if their bond somehow lasts, it might be what changes Styx City forever.
