Let's lower the stakes of this world, letting the girls face challenges relating to their creative journeys and navigating life, instead of earth-shattering conflicts or deep personal trauma. They deserve a universe in which they are happy and successful.

Rumi was aware of all of the small, invisible things that her girls did to show that they care. That they were still there, ready for their Rumi to come back to them. But their Rumi was a coward. She could not face them yet. She didn’t know what language she could use to tell them how sorry she was. She did not know if there were words that could bare her soul that would allow them to forgive her. She didn’t think she had the strength to even try.
