It's been a bit less than an hour since Dragon Boy served Smile what he had coming for a long time. He lies down in Old Rock's office, watching his ranking skyrocket and surpass Smile's. E-Soul will be on his way to Headquarters for an impromptu meeting any minute now, and Dragon Boy can't wait to drag him up to his new floor at Hero Tower for a well-earned celebration. He pulls up his phone and texts the robot:
"stop by my place and bring me a spare shirt"
E-Soul leaves him on read.

E-Soul’s fingers are clunkier and colder, purposeless except where Liang Long lends intention to them, and they’re limp before he tears his hand out of Liang Long’s not-quite-lax grip to say, “Yan-zong wouldn’t be happy if I gave the favorite of his heroes a heart attack,” dispassionately.
“No personal concern?” teeth sharp.
E-Soul doesn’t respond, and Liang Long laughs.
