Summary
Sirius Black has always been beautiful—always been pretty, been attractive, been desirable. He leans into it, to the comments and the gossip and the compliments and insults alike. He prides himself on his appearance, and his hair most of all. Growing it out had been the tiniest, earliest act of rebellion aside from being sorted into Gryffindor. He likes that it’s dark and thick and shiny, that it stretches down past his shoulders and curls at the ends just so. He likes that it’s long enough to be tied into braids when he’s gossiping with the girls, likes the way it settles around his ears and on his neck, like the way it feels when Remus pulls on it just so.
Then, in unison with his entire life falling apart, it’s gone.
OR: Sirius Black gets a haircut, a potted plant, and a whole lot of metaphors, in that order.

Summary
Regulus gets sent to visit his brother for the summer at the Lupin-Black B&B and he makes a shocking discovery and a not-so-shocking discovery. Sirius really is a dumbass and he is VERY competitive.
"Wow, that's such a long time! So is he how you knew you were gay, then? Or did you know before?"
This time Sirius' laugh was the loud sharp barking sound that always drove Mother crazy. "I'm not gay, Reggie."

Summary
Sirius has NO idea what's going on. He's in the Ministry in the middle of the night with a bunch of teenagers that he's never met before, then Bellatrix attacks all of them, and it turns out that he missed twenty or so years when he died? Peter is evil, Regulus is good, and James apparently went and hooked up with Lily Evans. James acts like he can't stand him, and did Sirius mention that he has no idea what's going on? No one is very forthcoming with everything he missed.
After Sirius died, James went a bit self-destructive, but he had to get back on the rails in a hurry. He had Harry to raise and protect, and he buried himself so deep back in the closet that he doesn't know how to handle Sirius being back, alive, and looking just like he did the last time that he saw him.
