Summary
Blitzø took note of hearing that low hoot more and more frequently. At the office, while Stolas was typing away on the computer or after he hung up the phone. At home, in the middle of Hell-A-Novela, or while they were cooking together in the kitchen. They came and went with no acknowledgement from Stolas, but a growing concern from Blitzø because he didn’t know this one. It wasn’t the same as his contented sounds; those were higher, quieter sometimes. And there didn’t seem to be a trigger, no laughter or even a moan, and he was afraid it was indicative of Stolas hiding something. They reminded him of the short, pained whimpers he would try and fail to conceal when he was hurt as a kid – which is why he finally had to confront Stolas about it.
