Summary
A Caine angst fic I made out of inspiration and being relatively bored.
Caine has been running the circus for many years without a break, eventually something is bound to go wrong. He’s desperately trying to find the exit in the code at the humans requests, no matter how hard he tries he never seems to find it. The pressure of it all is becoming too much… no one believes him when he says he’s trying. Will the programmers ever respond to his daily reports of glitches and problems? What will happen to Caine? Will they find an exit? Who knows…

Summary
Caine knew a lot more than he let on. He knew he was the sole administrative AI of the circus. He knew Moon, Sun and Bubble were the only other AIs with their own functions. He knew the developers had abandoned them there to rot. He knew there was no way out for the humans. He knew there was no cure for abstraction, no matter how much he tried to reverse it. He knew the humans hated him. But he kept going. It was his main function; to keep them safe and happy. But lately, now more than ever, he's been failing at that too. He's experiencing all these new emotions and thoughts that truly scared him and he couldn't understand up until it was almost too late.
Or... AIs can suffer depression and no one is ok.
