spoilers for hsr 3.3
When it comes to predatory, soul-sucking gacha games, Cosmic Impact Rail Zero was probably the worst of the worst. Did it have incredible characters? Yes. An engaging storyline? Double yes. Did it make Mydei want to blow his entire paycheck on weapons and skins and more rolls? Of course it did.
But it also killed off basically every character in the game, including the crown prince that shared Mydei's name– Mydeimos the Undying, Son of Gorgo. How the hell was that even possible?! He literally had undying in his title!?
So when the developers ask for feedback, Mydei goes off on a heated tangent– and finds himself reincarnated as his namesake. You know– the doomed prince, destined for a life of hardship? Destined to die?
Not if Mydei has anything to say about it.

Summary
Mydei’s head whirls up to face him the very second Phainon walks into the carnage that marks the Titan of Strife’s descent. The man stands among the dead carcasses of beasts, but Phainon cannot force himself to tear his gaze away to survey the situation beyond that when their eyes meet.
They have the exact same shape and spark behind them, the slitted pupils. But the color. They are much more vibrant than they used to be, almost liquid gold like the blood running through their veins. Captivating.
“Welcome to Amphoreus, Nikador,” Phainon greets as smoothly as he can, his steps barely faltering as he walks closer. He imagined himself saying those words a million times over, and that’s the only reason his voice doesn’t crack.
Mydei studies him for a heartbeat. And then, a wild fanged grin spreads across his face, allowing Phainon to finally break his gaze away and take his appearance in.
or; Phainon ushers in the new dawn of Era Nova. All that's left is the lengthy wait for that one person to follow him into it

“The Deliverer is not for sale,” Phainon interrupted from the counter.
Mydei blinked between the two of them in bafflement; Cipher looked like a cat that had caught a particularly fat canary, and Phainon looked like he wanted to throw himself over the counter and through the windows.

“Zhongli,” Childe says, rocking them side to side slightly. “I’ve got it.”
“Got what?” Zhongli asks. It’s impossible to not smile when faced with that look - it’s something that had compelled him to want to be Childe’s friend. No one makes him smile as much as Childe can.
“I should suck you off,” Childe continues, still smiling, still rocking them from side to side. “It’s perfect. You’re sexually repressed-” Nonsense, and Zhongli scoffs- “and really bad at picking up women-” Okay, that’s true- “and I’m bisexual. I can suck dick. Good at it, even.”
