Summary
For centuries now, the Yiling Laozu has watched the cultivation world. Whenever a ruler gets too cruel or greedy, when a cultivator seeks too much power, he descends from his kingdom and hunts them down without mercy.
'The Reaping,' is what those fearful mortals call it. 'A necessity' is how he sees it. For no man can gain so much power without being utterly corrupted by it. He seeks to cut them down before they become a problem for the defenseless citizens of the sects. One battle after another and things begin to settle. That is, until the whispers from his crows and reverent lips bring his judgment down on the newest Chief Cultivator - Hanguang-jun.
They say he's on the cusp of cultivating immortality. That he is a man without equal. To the Yiling Patriarch, it sounds like this Hanguang-jun is ripe for Reaping.

Summary
Wei Wuxian should know better than to invite Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang over to his shitty little apartment. Really, he should. Leaving those three together only ever ended in misfortune. That streak remains true when he accidentally knocks a hole into his cheap apartment's wall. Catching a glimpse of his obscenely hot neighbor was purely an accident. One he was never, ever going to live down. Cue the unadulterated panic.

Xiao Xingchen, sweet, lovely, utterly oblivious Xiao Xingchen seemed confused by her brazen and presumptuous remark. Song Lan, however, was not confused at all. He knew what she was circling around to, discreetly trying to pick out if the illustrious cultivator was taken or not. Alas, he was too hung up on the contemplative and almost painfully honest way Xiao Xingchen agreed they would be good together romantically to intervene sooner. Instead, his brain sputtered out for a few moments as he seemed to ascend to another realm altogether. Is this how one cultivated immortality? It certainly felt that way with how his entire being seemed to empty right out into the open.

Todoroki Shouto was born quirkless.
Yet he developed a burning passion to be a hero despite the fact. With the fictional heroes from an era before quirks to look up to, Shouto is determined to defy all odds and prove to the world that anyone can be a hero. To help him with that he dreams of attending UA Class 1-A, but to get there it take a lot of hard work and effort leaving him little for anything else.
He only has to pass the entrance exam, maybe then he'll have time to make a friend or two. He only hopes that the students of UA will still accept him despite being quirkless.
And if they don't?
Well...
He'll just have to prove to them how capable he really is.OR
Todoroki Shouto doesn't care about becoming the #1 hero, he only wants to remind the world what true heroism really is and to start he plans to lead by example. Maybe along the way he'll find a real home.
