A shrug seems like Jinx’s most favored method of assent today, so Caitlyn takes it in stride. She rolls up her sleeves, taking a moment to pass Jinx a loofah and soap off the bath tray.
“You wash up and I’ll tackle your hair. Yeah?”
Despite everything, Jinx takes the sponge.
“A two pronged approach,” she notes duly. “Do you dictate your military the same way you take a bath?”

After Isha's death, Jinx is left a mess. Caitlyn's not sure how she feels about it, but the least she can do is help the girl clean up.

“And why should I trust you for even a moment?” Caitlyn motions between the two of them, then scoffs. “ Why should I believe that you’ve suddenly turned a new leaf?”
“Who the hell said anything about that?” Jinx asks, bewildered. She drains her drink, then shoves her empty mug to the side, leaning her cheek on her fist. “Let’s not get things all jumbled up, here. I don’t like you; never have, never will. But, well, looking at the two of us, we can agree that my sister has shit taste in the people she keeps around herself, right?” She grabs her last macaron between her thumb and pointer finger, then turns it around as she closes one eye to peer at it. Instead of eating it, she tilts her head, then glances over at Caitlyn. “Look. We don’t have to be besties. I just want my sister to be happy.” Jinx leans over the table, then deposits the pale green macaron next to Caitlyn’s pastry, reaching into her pocket to pass over a bright blue sticky note. “My number, in case you decide you want to listen to reason.”

She stares at the paintings of Vi, her heart fluttering as she sighs. Powder can’t help but wonder what her sister sounds like, if she still smells the same. She wants to tell the woman stupid jokes from their childhood, just to see if she’d still laugh, and if that laughter would sound the same as she remembers it. Her heart aches for a moment as she thinks about what it would feel like to have the woman’s hand cupping her cheek just one more time, and she plops herself down, her back against the mural as she holds her own palm to her face as she tries to mimic the sensation.
