After turning the heat on, the guy’s hand splays back on top of Felix’s thigh, much closer to the inside of it. One tight squeeze and he flinches, making himself smaller. “Sir..?”
The pheromones double in intensity, sharp in his nose, mouth, and the back of his throat. “Oh did I scare you? I didn’t mean to. Thought I’d help you warm up. How old are you?”
The vial in his hoodie holds its impression against his stomach, and Felix watches as they enter the forest, passing trees by tens. No other car in sight. The hair on his arms raises and his pulse skyrockets. The man side-eyes him, driving around a fallen branch. This is it.
