when the silence between the two became unbearable, jiseok breathed a quiet, “fuck.”
gunil was scared to ask. he was scared because he didn’t want the direct confirmation that asking would bring him. gunil and jiseok, meeting their exes in the same place, in the same way, having the same lingering feelings and sentiments towards him. gunil knew what that meant. he asked broadly, just in case his assumption was incorrect, “you know him..?”
only for jiseok to laugh pitifully, confirming what gunil already assumed, “yeah. he’s my ex.”
OR: strangers gunil and jiseok meet by chance and discover they have a common link — a shared ex, kim jungsu, that neither of them can seem to move on from.
