Summary
Liam has struggled against the urge to leave Sevilla on account of Mason, his pseudo-brother. Now, beyond the itch in his neck, he saw a way to do it. Another fleet was leaving to the New World, and he would be on it, one way or another. Mason, ever the brain, refused to let him leave alone, determined to keep him out of trouble.

Liam bit at his lower lip as he looked around, his fingers tapping anxiously at his side. Theo heard the betas heart skip a few beats, reminding him of his own unsteady heartrate.
“Are you ok?” Liam hesitantly asked.
Theo looked up at Liam’s words, concern written across the betas face. Theo was too freaked out to even come up with a smartass response, something about Liam always leaving him feeling more vulnerable.
He swallowed thickly before answering, his eyes wandering down to the ground where the bloody scalpel still laid. The spider had disappeared into thin air, but Theo could still feel it there, crawling beneath his skin and invading his space.
“Not really.”
