“I tell thee.” Quicker than Arthur would think someone of his age could move, the beggar snatches Arthur’s wrist in a brutal grip. “Bethink yourself before taking possession of another man’s horse. For not all will go willingly.”
Arthur wrenches his hand back from the man’s startling grasp. Under him, his horse nickers in surprise. If he was younger, he would have yelled at him; might have even hit him back for touching him so. Instead, Arthur glares down at the blind man, spits: “Well, too late for that.”
